Thank you so much to @MmarieSr on Twitter for this absolutely beautiful commission of Rinoa and Seifer dancing together.
I seriously can't get over how soft he is looking at Rinoa. She was his romantic dream ❤️❤️
It's based on my headcanon that Seifer taught Rinoa how to dance before the SeeD ball, hoping that they'd get to dance together but we all know how that turned out ;_;
It's also partly inspired by the song "Ghost of You" by 5 seconds of Summer. That song basically screams Seinoa (Seifer x Rinoa) IMO. Some of its lyrics:
"We're too young, too dumb To know things like love But I know better now.
........
So I drown it out like I always do Dancing through our house With the ghost of you And I chase it down With a shot of truth That my feet don't dance Like they did with you."

I just want to say my piece about Elain week and be done with it. Honestly, you’re one of the few accounts I follow that actually gets it. You genuinely love Elain’s character but aren’t blind to her flaws, which is rare. It’s refreshing to see someone who admires where her story might be going while still keeping it real—because let’s face it, Elain is just a character in a book, not a real person. It’s exhausting to see people lose their minds over fictional drama. So, thanks for being one of the few who can balance it all without losing touch with reality.
I can’t take Elriel’s seriously because they treat Elain like she’s some real, fleshed-out character while simultaneously reducing her to a mere plot device in Az's story. It’s like they completely ignore her agency and depth just to fit her into Azriel's narrative. And don’t even get me started on Elainweek. If it was supposed to be inclusive, why was it riddled with bans that sidelined anyone who had different preferences in the fandom? They act like Elucien fans are the problem for not participating in previous years, but then turn around and complain on Twitter when a bunch of Eluciens actually engaged this year.
They should have just been straightforward about their intentions for Elain-week instead of being passive-aggressive and called it what it was, Elriel week.
Now, I want to touch on the art that is now causing so muchdrama. I want to make it abundantly clear, the art itself was beautiful, many Eluciens and Gwynriels said so, but it was the artist's words that hurt many POC among the fandom.
It’s was honestly sad to witness this whole situation. I do not think the artist's comments were made with malicious intent, but rather came from a place of ignorance. Eluciens and Gwynriels had been nothing but supportive of her work, sharing her previous pieces and even showing interest in commissioning her - despite her obvious preference for Elriel.
However, how she choose to address the situation escalated things and I will bet good money she is now being manipulated by Elriels, who are telling her that she said nothing wrong, because they want the artist to create a narrative that Elucien are bullies. They are taking advantage of her situation and making things worse.
But does the artist even realize that many of the people sliding into her DMs are the very same ones who have engaged in real bullying? Seriously, these are the people who have sent death threats, harassed SJM’s best friend, and targeted authors, influencers, bookshops, and other artists just for shipping Gwynriel or Elucien. Does she know she is being exploited by Elriels, it’s sad that she doesn’t see it. Her artwork was stunning but it was overshadowed by her thoughtless and careless words and how she handled the situation. She seems to have completely missed the point.
This entire week has just been a reminder of how hypocritical some Elriels can be. Honestly, I can't wait for the day they finally drop Elain's character, because you know they will when they don't get their precious Elriel in the canon. They’re delusional if they think SJM would ever write Elriel after the way they've harassed her team, her husband, her best friends, and her colleagues. The death threats and even the creepy threats to kidnap her baby? Seriously?
Let’s be real: if they were truly confident in their ship from the beginning, they wouldn’t have needed to resort to bullying the author and anyone who disagrees with them. I think they have always known deep down that they were shipping a red herring. Now they’re just trying to strong-arm Sarah into writing them some fanservice because they can't handle the fact that their ship isn’t happening. That SJM prefers mates and they know Elriel aren't mates. It’s time to call it what it is. They want Sarah to cater to their whims, and their desperation to spam and harass anyone who doesn't ship Elriel is just pathetic.
Alright, I’m done
Thank you for the background on the photo drama! I know people were looking for more details of what happened and I had heard about it but didn't see some of what was being said on IG. You know, E/riels can call Elucien's and Gwynriel's bully's all they want and I know there have been some situations where even our side has behaved badly (though I'm not sure I remember seeing de@th threats / SA threats coming from our end) but if E/riels truly hoped to have some influence on how Sarah writes these books, I do not understand how they think their behavior is doing them favors. Sarah and her team know nothing of the verbal sparring between anon user A versus Anon user B on IG / Tumblr/ Twitter (X) whether it be Eluciens to E/riels, Gwynriels to E/riels or E/riels to Eluciens and Gwynriels. But they most certainly have heard about what happened to the other famous author who called out E/riels on her IG simply because she liked the Gwynriel ship. Sarah almost certainly heard about how E/riels acted towards her good friend Steph after she said she didn't think E/riel was happening on one of her Lives. I don't think anything any of us are going to change Sarah's mind on what she writes but if someone is over the age of 12, I imagine we all learned the lesson that good behavior gets rewarded and tantrums do not.
Thank you for your comments on my view of Elain's character! I can't think of a single FMC who has started her book happy with friends, already in love, and already living where she's going to end up by the end of her book, can you?
Yet somehow Elain is already perfect with the perfect friends and the perfect lover who treats her so well and they're already the best friends ever even though he spent a year avoiding her and she's so at home with the sisters who call her a dog and a pleasant companion and the way she treats Lucien is not at all inconsiderate because she is perfect and does not owe the one she has a forever magical connection to a single word from her lips because real life women don't owe men anything! Apparently the E/riel version of Elain is living the Barbie Dream Life and that's all well and good but then the author has absolutely no need to write a book about her. Have they listened to Sarah talk about her favorite characters? Nesta. Manon. She likes complicated women. Which we saw with Bryce and Feyre and Aelin. These women are layers upon layers and they are flawed. We can love them all the same but Sarah does not like Mary Sue's. Even her most Mary Sue like character (the not morally gray Yrene) had major prejudices she had to get over! She was a bitch to Chaol at first! That means Elain is not starting off her book as the Voted Most Beautiful of the School Head Cheerleader of the Squad leaving care packages on her sweetheart of one year and counting's locker since they're already so in love, Elain who already has the picture perfect life and only needs to fight the bad guy because there's absolutely nothing else for her to achieve. Elain, just like every other SJM heroine is going to have depth. Heavy emotions that have held her back from doing the things she needs to do, being who she's meant to be, facing her bond instead of avoiding it. Emotions that are HERS and not just her showing Rhys up. That's blaming everyone else for Elain's current state and not giving her any of the responsibility for anything. They just don't want her to have depth and things to overcome because if she does that means she might change (just like every other FMC does) and they worry that if she changes, it could mean those changes will lead her in a direction they don't want for her. So for them she must remain exactly as she is and end her book with things exactly the same as they are right now. (or at least as they were pre Solstice because right now she hasn't looked Az's way for months). We all knew Elain Week was going to be E/riel Week 2.0 despite their cries of "no, Elucien's are welcome! All ships but Tamlian and Berlain are welcome!" Damn if I'm now not wishing for some Jurlain content because that seems to be their hot button these days. We knew they'd cry that it's our fault, that we are the ones who choose not to participate while conveniently forgetting all the posts they liked over the past year calling Elucien's abuse apologists, misogynists, etc. But Yes, Of COURSE we're all welcome this week. It's like making fun of how a kid dresses every day at school then promising they'll behave the week of May 3rd, ONLY the week of May 3rd but act shocked when the kid doesn't thank them for the compliment of how nice they look that week. Assurances don't mean a thing when the people making them are nasty to us and our ship 99.9% of the time. At this point we can only hope that Sarah will some day decide to put us out of our misery and announce the next pairing.

(Fake ASMR Commission) Creepypasta Girl Takes You To Her Mansion
------------------------------------------------------------
*spooky night ambience. light breeze, owls hooting, etc.*
"The crisp, cool, fresh air is so invigorating. This is the perfect night for a murder. A beautiful full moon, the owls hooting, the naked trees swaying in the breeze... Really puts me in the mood to bag a body."
"But who exactly? Maybe I can find some schmuck in an alleyway. Perhaps I can pay some of my old high school bullies a visit. No matter. As long as I can put someone in a coffin tonight, my bloodlust shall be quenched."
"Oooooh, who's that cutie over there? Seems like they're all alone. Such a shame. I doubt anyone'll even notice their disappearance. Just gotta sneak up on em'."
...
"Actually... On closer inspection... They're even cuter than I thought. Their hair looks so smooth & shiny. Their eyes are glistening in the moonlight. Lovely color. And such a pretty face to. Damn, they're attractive. I almost feel bad for wanting to kill them."
...
"Ah, man. I can't do this. They look too good to die. I can't just waste someone who looks that nice. Maybe I can just... Talk to them. Yeah. I'll just pretend like I'm a totally normal person. I can find someone else to slay tonight."
...
"Hey there cutie. Wha-..."
"Oh jeez. I'm sorry. I didn't mean to scare you. I mean... Usually, that's what I'm trying to do, but not this time."
...
"Oh... My face? Uh... How do I explain this? I'm... A Creepypasta Girl."
...
"Yes, very boring name. I know. But that's why I have these black circles for eyes with blood flowing out of them. It really sells the creepy look, you know? Even if it is quite cliche."
...
"You've read Creepypastas online, right? They're these scary stories that people post on the Internet. They're not as popular as they were in their heyday, but the fans still exist. Do you have any favorites?"
...
"Herobrine. The Minecraft Creepypasta. That's a solid choice. I was afraid that you were gonna say Slenderman. Don't get me wrong. I like the guy. But saying that Slenderman is your favorite is like when someone says that their favorite Pokémon is Pikachu. It feels like the opinion was formed without a basis in mind or any prior knowledge. Saying Herobrine makes me feel like you put genuine thought into it & actually understood the source material. I can respect that."
...
"Why am I here. Well, there's no easy way to say this, but... My original intention was to kill you."
...
"Because I'm evil. I look evil & I enjoy being evil. I kill people because it's fun. One could call me a mindless murderer... A psychopath that kills without reason... But if I was truly mindless then I wouldn't be talking to you right now. You'd already be dead."
...
"The reason I've chosen to spare you is because... You're hot."
...
"Yep. Not even kidding. You're seriously so attractive that killing you would be a total waste. I've never met someone that looks as impossibly gorgeous as you. I may be a villain, but I still have taste."
...
"No need to thank me. You're just lucky that you were blessed with such amazing genes."
"So... Wanna spend the night at my place? I've got some crazy & interesting friends who live there with me."
...
"I live in a mansion. We call it the Creepypasta Manor. And yes, they're monsters to. Just like me. We all have the same insane disposition."
...
"Look. I know it seems like it would be a horror show over there. And truth be told, we do watch a lot of actual horror shows. But I can convince them that you're not worth turning into a blood splatter. I'm sure they'll warm up to you."
...
"Oh wow. I didn't think you'd actually agree to this. Um... Okay. I'm pleasantly surprised that you accepted my offer. Let's go. I'll show you where it is."
..... *ambience stops* .....
"Here we are. Big place, isn't it? Just one question before I bring you in. Have you ever seen a slasher movie?"
...
"Think of that, but as a slice of life. Sorta like Ruby Gloom, but with no defined canon. That's basically what you're getting into. Ready to enter?"
...
"Alright, just stay behind me in case all hell breaks loose."
*door opening & closing sound*
"Hey guys. I brought a new friend over tonight."
*sounds of various weapons being raised like that one scene from Tangled*
"Woah, woah, woah! Chill with the weapons! I can explain!"
"I was out for a murder & found this person. I was planning on making them my next victim, but found myself incredibly captivated by their beautiful face, their gleaming starry eyes... Their silky smooth hair... Those... Wonderful... Kissable lips..."
"Er, anyway. I just found them super hot & couldn't bring myself to do the deed. So can you all please not kill them? Surely, I'm not the only one here with taste, right? Come on. You find them attractive to. Admit it."
...
"That's right. Lay down your arms. This one's special."
"So new pal... These are my friends. First we have Slenderman. He's our big boss. He runs & owns the place. Since you got his approval, that basically means you're good to go."
"We have Ben Drowned. He's from a Zelda Creepypasta."
"Jeff the Killer. You can just call him Jeff. We're all killers here."
"There's Laughing Jack & Eyeless Jack. Two people in this manor named Jack. I know. Weird little happenstance."
"Zalgo, Dark Link, Sonic.exe... And poor Lost Silver over there. He has no limbs. We need to cart him around in a wheelchair."
...
"Yes, Herobrine is here to. He's probably playing Minecraft in the game room or something."
"There's others, but I'm not sure where they are right now. Probably out for a night on the town. I don't know."
"So anyway. Slender. Shall we introduce our guest to the delectable cuisine known as... Creepy Pasta?"
...
"Fantastic. I'll meet you in kitchen to help in just a minute. Just need to talk to my new friend for a moment."
"Um... We ARE friends, right? I know I just kinda dragged you into this so like... I'm not sure."
...
"Oh, we are? Cool. Maybe we can be... More... If you feel like it."
"Anyway, Creepy Pasta is... Well... I'm not gonna sugarcoat it. It's literally just spaghetti & Italian meatballs with black food coloring to make it look creepy. It's delicious. I swear."
"For now, You should give Silver some company. He's definitely the most tame person here. It's pretty easy to get along with someone when they don't have any limbs."
"I'm gonna go help Slender in the kitchen now. I'll give you a shout when we're done. Thanks for joining us tonight."

My Pirate Lord and Our Life Ch. 50
Chapter 50
The winter felt long and cold. But eventually the snow began to melt, giving way to spring. My belly had grown quite a bit and I was now only six weeks away from my expected due date. It also happened to be just a few days before we would be departing to meet the rest of my family/friends who would be coming from the future to visit.
Motonari woke me up with breakfast in bed. My pregnancy insomnia had been getting worse as I got farther along. So, Motonari had started making sure I slept in later. I'd stopped taking commissions as I was getting more easily exhausted. Though I did continue to sew, making lots of baby clothes. I was determined to have the most fashionable baby in the Sengoku.
I'd also sewn myself some maternity wear. I'd combined kimono with modern wear as I had for my wedding dress, though even more simple. I just needed something a little more comfortable and with more freedom of movement.
"I got more of them bananas in." Motonari said, as he sat the tray of food in front of me.
I smiled up at him. "You're really taking Misa's orders seriously." I teased.
"Your leg cramps have stopped since ya been eatin' all the stuff she said ya should." Motonari replied. "Anything that helps ya feel better."
"How am I supposed to tease you when you reply with something so sweet like that?" I asked.
Motonari grinned as he leaned in and kissed me on the cheek. "That would be the point, m'lady."
"I just wish the insomnia would stop." I said with a sigh.
"I don't mind." Motonari said, giving me that wicked grin. "I enjoy it when ya wake me up in the middle of the night."
I giggled as my face reddened. Ever since that first night, whenever I woke Motonari up in the middle of the night because of my insomnia...well naughty things happened. It worked though and seemed to help me fall back asleep afterwards, so maybe the insomnia wasn't so bad. "That does make it not so bad." I agreed.
"Bright side of everything." Motonari replied, kissing me gently on the lips.
"Never thought you'd be one to look on the bright side." I teased him.
"That's all on you and yer damn flowers." He replied, his tone playfully disgruntled.
"My flowers and I take pride in that." I said, giving him a smug smile.
I finished my breakfast and then with Motonari's help got up from the futon and started getting ready for the day. My belly had gotten big enough by this point that I couldn't get up and down without help, because of this Motonari, Misa, the maids, or Hiroyoshi were always nearby to help me whenever I needed it.
Just as I was finished getting dressed and fixing my hair for the day, Hiroyoshi was knocking on our door. "My lord, my lady, Master Sasuke has arrived...and he brought some guests with him." Hiroyoshi called.
Motonari and I looked at each other. Then Motonari turned his head to the door. "We'll be right there."
We made our way to the main hall, where we were greeted by Sasuke sitting with, Shingen, Yukimura, and Kenshin. "You look so radiant, my beautiful goddess. Motherhood definitely suits you." Shingen greeted me with a flirtatious smile.
I rolled my eyes, but as I looked at the man something seemed off. He always came off as the picture of strength and confidence. It didn't take much imagination to figure out why he was called the Tiger of Kai. He appeared to even be a bit thinner as well and sweat seemed to coat his brow.
"Ya look terrible over there, Shingen." Motonari observed. "I would threaten ta kill ya over that, but I get the feelin' yer already at death's door."
"Motonari." I muttered as I smacked his chest.
"What? Like ya can't tell there's somethin' wrong with 'im?"
"It is alright...he is correct after all." Shingen said. "This winter...it did a number on me."
"I apologize that I didn't tell you that I would be bringing the others with me." Sasuke said with an apologetic bow.
"It's alright." Motonari replied. "Guessin' yer goin' to the future ta get cured?"
"Sasuke says that the medical technology is highly advanced." Shingen replied.
"And any chance we have to save my lord, we're going to take." Yukimura said.
"There is a lot more that we can do in the future." I agreed. "So, are you all going?" I asked, having a hard time imagining stab-happy Kenshin in a world where his sword was illegal to carry around.
"No." Kenshin answered. "I'm only going as far as the island. Just to remind Sasuke he must return quickly...and to remind Shingen he is not to die any way other than on my sword."
"I'll be staying behind to take care of things while Lord Shingen is away." Yukimura replied.
"Obviously, I will be going to make sure Lord Shingen can find his way around and return." Sasuke said. He then bowed in apology to me. "I'm sorry that I will be missing the birth of your baby, Ava. I feel bad enough I had to miss the wedding since you know, we were still technically on opposite sides then."
"It's alright, Sasuke." I told him, holding up my hands. "I completely understand. Saving Shingen is important."
"You are as kind a goddess as you are a beautiful one." Shingen replied, giving me a warm flirtatious smile.
"How about you conserve your energy and strength by not flirting with the married, pregnant woman?" I suggested.
"Asking him not to flirt is like asking him not to breathe." Yukimura said. "I've been trying for years."
"Just keep yer distance, Shingen." Motonari warned him. "Just remember it is MY ship that'll be takin' ya to the island where the wormhole is gonna show up."
I shook my head. "Like you're really going to turn a dying man away just because he flirts with me."
"Ya challengin' me, flower girl?" Motonari asked.
"Yeah." I replied, looking him in the eye.
Motonari reached his hand up to muss my hair affectionately. He then looked over at Shingen. "Course, we'll take ya."
"Thank you." Shingen said, bowing his head.
"Hiroyoshi, make sure ya set 'em up nice." Motonari instructed.
"Of course, my lord." Hiroyoshi said. He was then leading the others to some guest rooms.
The next couple of days were spent preparing for the trip to the island. The wormhole would be appearing on the same island we had returned on. Misa spent the time wrapping some things up with her patients in town, as she wanted to be able to be gone for the few days it would take us to reach the island and back.
Pretty soon it was time to head out. Misa and I had worked put together some medicinal tea and other things to help with Shingen's symptoms so he could rest comfortably through the journey. With the medicines we had made for him, he seemed to be getting along a little better.
We boarded the ship, Motonari keeping his arm around me as we made our way up the gangway. "You worried I'm going to fall or something?" I teased him.
"Yer balance is off." Motonari replied. He was then leaning in to whisper in my ear. "Ya did almost fall off last night."
My cheeks reddened. "You're terrible...and that was just because I was surprised when the baby started moving in the middle."
Motonari chuckled and kissed me cheek. "Couldn't o' been that surprising."
"Okay, you grow the next human in your body and see how you feel." I replied, smacking his chest.
Motonari grabbed my hand as I went to pull it away and brought it to his lips to place a kiss on my fingers. "I think I'll pass on that." He replied a smug smile on his face.
I narrowed my eyes at him and was readying to smack him again when his smile gentled.
"But I'll take care o' ya while you do." He said, pulling me close and placing a kiss on my forehead.
I rested my head on his chest. "I swear you..." I muttered.
"It is a beautiful thing, to see. Love does change a man. If only I had been the one to steal the fair princess away." Shingen said as he came aboard the ship.
I didn't need to look up and see Motonari's face to see the glare he was giving Shingen. I felt his arm around me tighten.
"Lord Shingen, don't do or say anything that will make Motonari throw you overboard." Yukimura said.
"I'll save you all the trouble and just stab him." Kenshin said, as he came to join us.
"Can we just avoid bloodshed and fighting in general?" I asked.
"Yeah, we don't need to give the rest of our family that's coming the full Sengoku welcome." Misa said, as she came up.
"Who all is coming?" Shingen asked, curious.
"If it's more women, don't tell him. We may never get him to agree to go get cured." Yukimura spoke up.
"Okay, then we'll just have to keep quiet about it." Misa said with a smile.
"I mean there is Kotoro." I said.
"True." Misa agreed.
"Who is Kotoro?" Shingen asked.
"Basically our nephew." I answered. "He's four and he is the cutest. He also is Motonari's little buddy."
"So, there's someone else crazy enough to like you?" Yukimura asked, looking at Motonari.
"What can I say? People from the future are just nuts about a crazy like me." Motonari replied with a grin.
"Kid also just has an obsession with pirates. Pretty sure meeting a real pirate captain was the highlight of his little life." Misa interjected. "Also pretty sure that was the only reason he was able to forgive you for marrying Ava."
Motonari laughed. "Whatever works. The kid ain't so bad."
I smiled as I thought about Motonari and Kotoro. I couldn't help but imagine him with our own child. I know he still had a lot of trauma from his past, but I think he is going to be a great father. He's already come a long way from where he was before and he's an amazing husband.
"Ava, whatever you're fantasizing about over there, can you stop?" Misa asked, a teasing tone in her voice.
My face felt hot. "Just shut up, will you?" I replied.
"Oh come on, you know it's about to get a whole lot worse once the other girls get here." Misa reminded me.
"Dammit." I muttered.
"Maybe I should come to this future with you if there really are going to be more giggling women around." Kenshin muttered.
"You wouldn't be able to escape giggling women in the future either, Lord Kenshin." Sasuke assured him. "Not to mention, it is illegal to carry a sword."
Kenshin blinked. "What the hell kind of future is that?"
"Peaceful." Sasuke answered.
"It ain't so bad." Motonari replied. "A little crowded, but...there's a lot of wonders. I thought I had seen everything from all my travels, but I ain't seen nothin' like this place."
"I am intrigued to see this world." Shingen said. "Though I am saddened that I will be missing the arrival of two more goddesses."
"And it is a shame because Asuna would probably love you." Misa remarked.
I laughed. "Yeah, she probably would." I agreed. "She's also probably tell you, you're nuts for turning Nobunaga down."
Misa narrowed her eyes at me. "No one is to mention that to her or Kimi." Misa said.
"I make no promises." I replied. "You know what happens when the four of us are together."
"Fair point. Nothing is off limits." Misa agreed. "Which means I have plenty of material as well." She added this last part with an evil grin.
"Why do I already feel like I should be running?" Yukimura asked.
"Because you are terrible around women and there are going to be three new ones for you to not know how to talk to." Sasuke replied.
"I thought we were supposed to be best friends."
"We are, which is why I am being honest with you." Sasuke replied.
"He's right Yuki, you are terrible around women despite my best efforts." Shingen added. "One of the reasons I have to get well again, so I can make sure to start over on your education."
"Maybe while you're in the future, you can have your head examined, figure out a way to stop you from thinking about women all the time." Yukimura retorted.
"It is possible to get his head examined...though I don't think there is anything to change Lord Shingen's appreciation of women." Sasuke replied.
Yukimura let out an exasperated sigh.
"You can always jump ship if ya wanna escape it." Motonari told Yukimura. "Or just hide out below deck."
There was more laughing and teasing to be had. Though Shingen soon had to retire as the fatigue was getting to him. Motonari had to go give his crew some orders and slowly everyone began to disperse. I stayed up on deck, wanting to enjoy the fresh sea air.
Hiroyoshi came up to me. "Are you feeling alright, Lady Mouri?" He asked.
I smiled at him. "Just fine." I answered. I noticed he seemed to have an extra happy smile on his face. "You look happy about something."
"Just thinking that it is good to see so much life and liveliness on the ship and around the castle." He answered.
"It is a lot different than it used to be." I agreed.
"Yes...thank you, my lady."
"You can't possibly think it's all me."
"Without you to have brought about my lord's happiness, this wouldn't be possible." He replied. "And I believe it's all only going to get better once the little lord or lady arrives."
I smiled warmly at Hiroyoshi. "I guess when you put it like that...but yes the best is still yet to come."

Yang overload.
- Chongyun's positive (Yang) energy seemed to have gotten stronger lately, and it's starting to get out of hand more often than needed. Maybe a little talk about it won't hurt.
[chongyun x g.n reader] [no t.w] [slight fluff]
a.n I do apologize if they're always slight fluff, ehe I'm no good at fluffy fluffy yet! And the short summaries too;; (´;ω;`)
-•-
After a while of nothing but staring at the beautiful sight around Liyue in Wanmin, you've suddenly felt suspicious with Chongyun's present behaviour.
He seemed a little dazed, it was also accompanied with a emotionless face. You would've thought he was reflecting on his life as an exorcist. But, no. It wasn't anything like that all!
Infact, it was the complete opposite.
All he could ponder about in his mind was you. Though, It may seem like it was way too cheesy and unromantic to him. After all, he didn't have the time to have such fun or acquire a small crush on a person.
But that seemed to changed today.
With a sigh, you stirred your iced water with a graceful slide with your fingers. The ice cubes clinking slightly when touching the inner parts of the glass cup.
It was no secret that you were gifted a vision by the gods. It was no different on how the others had gotten them as well.
Flabbergasted by the sudden news, you immediately made your mind up to help the ones in dire need with your vision! Of course, it wasn't always a perfect and clean run helping out, but the compensation were definitely rewarding.
After all, with great power comes with great responsibility.
Well, to start off your day, you went ahead and tried to find a glimpse of a blue haired exorcist during the marketplace below, early in the morning. Since he seems to be here for a reason, and definitely was not intended on resting.
So you decided to tag along with him before and during his commissions given by Katheryne.
It was a mess trying to clean up the scattered Cor Lapis that suddenly spurred out of his hands the second he turned around to see you waving. And by total accident, you've managed to blow 1 away from the ground and straight to the ocean.
You've never felt so guilty yet quite amused this year. Wincing, as he came back drenched, bangs almost fully covering his eyes. The wooden planks also wet from his steps.
"Sorry! I- I seriously still don't know how to control this well! I'm so sorry-"
"Its alright, All that matters now is that I've gotten my Cor Lapis back. It would've been a disaster if it swept across oceans. It was good I manage to swim my way there on time."
And Giving him his homemade ice popsicles didn't even do the trick at all!
"..."
"..."
"...so, feel better?"
"No. The heat is slowly rising up an- and I can't seem to stop it- I- I think I might've eaten something hot while I was chewing!"
"Want me to make a sweeter version instead? Or do you want me to fetch some Cyro Whopperflower's real quick instead?"
"It- it's alright! just make the popsicles please!"
This weekend, chaos was happening more frequently around him, and you were sure it was bound to continue like this in the next weeks. Besides, you weren't sure if he was in the right mindset this afternoon after all the things that had happened this morning.
Of course you knew he was strong enough to handle such issues and problems himself! But, maybe it's time for you to intervene.
And so, with a nervous glint in your eyes, you opened up your mouth, "Hey.." you spoke out, His eyes seemingly snapping back into reality as soon as he heard your voice, before making an eye contact with you.
"Huh? What is it? My apologies, it seems like I've dozed off.." apologizing, he immediately averted his eyes. Oh dear, is he heating up quicker than usual?
"Its alright, really. I just wanted to ask if there was anything wrong lately. Uh, like your Yang energy?"
"It's nothing to worry about.. Recently, my Yang energy has gotten stronger over the past few weeks and I've been trying to restraint it as much as I can." He confessed, clearing his throat in the process before lifting one of his hands up to grab his iced drink.
With a tilt of a head, you hummed in response. "I don't know about you, but I think that's something to worry about. Any explanations on how it gotten stronger?"
"No, sadly. I'm still trying to find the reasons to it, still no luck. But that's not what matters now, we still have a commission we haven't done yet."
"Wait what? I
thought we finished them all already!"
"Ah.. about that, its not really a commission but instead, clues and information's on spirits I've managed to get a hold of."
"And who did you get it from?"
"Xingqiu, he truly is a good friend, isn't he? With this much research and clues, we'll surely find a good one amongst these papers!" With a small and gentle smile, he sends it towards you. Placing the papers right in front, your eyes scanning through each information given.
'A Blue haired demon destroying a cart of popsicles in Qingce Village?'
"..of course." Ending the topic with a sigh, you took a sip of your water, watching as the sunset slowly get overtaken by the moon and stars. Chongyun did the exact same thing as well, watching as the skies split apart to show the bright moon.
Oh dear, did he managed to catch feelings for you during his travels? He could feel his heart beating.
Touching his face with his hand, he felt the heat slowly becoming more apparent. Sneaking a glance of you near him, his eyes softened.
How would he even confess to you? It was hard confessing without feeling so mushy and awkward, but now, since his Yang energy gotten stronger, it was impossible to even spit the words out at all!
It was in a perfect scenario already! There was barely any customers near, the night sky, with you by his side. It was all set. All he had to do was tell you and everything would be complete!
With a shaky hand, he gripped the glass before sighing. 'Alright, all I have to do is tell them before it's too late!'
Feeling his cheeks heat more than it did before,
He then sputtered out his confession.
"[ y.n ]. There's something important and urgent I need to tell you." Grabbing your attention immediately, you snapped your eyes towards Chongyun. "Yeah? What is it?"
With both of your eyes interlocked with one another, your heartbeats beating in a synchronised beat- you felt like this was a dream. This exact scenario that went through your head before.
His comforting yet sharp eyes staring directly at you with such intense passion, you felt like you could melt at the sight of it. The street lights and lamps that illuminate his face, and the blush plastered across his face was enough for you to replicate the same expression.
"[ y.n ] , uhm.. I.."
"Yeah?"
"Uh, I...."
Oh, well, this wasn't going as planned for him was it?
Nervously gulping, he averted his eyes from you. Watching you stare at him with a blush apparent on your face was enough to make him feel heated up and embarrassed.
Raising his hands, he gripped them together for support. "I..." He spoke, slowly turning his words into incoherent words, mumbling silently to himself before the heat finally got the best of him.
Immediately noticing how red he've gotten, you hastily replied to him to calm down. Grabbing his hand by the action, and gently letting him take hold of the iced drink himself.
But alas, it only worsened as he realized you were holding his hand for a mere second.
"Chongyun!" You yelled out, quickly getting out of your seat before grabbing ahold of him by the arm, the wind blowing in slightly to prevent him from falling over quickly.
Settling him back to his seat in the Wanmin restaurant, you sighed. The blush still visible in your face. The fire behind you cackling as footsteps from another person suddenly is being heard.
Giving your full attention to the entrance, your shoulders tensing up in anticipation, as you waited patiently. The footsteps growing louder and louder, only to be relieved that it was Chef Mao.
"Hey! Didn't know you two were still here, I was about to close up the restaurant." He grinned, walking inside the restaurant as he immediately went tidying up.
"Oh, we were just watching the sunset. I guess we've stayed for too long." You chuckled, Chef Mao could only laugh in return.
"Wayyy too long. Well, you might need to ask for some help if you need to lift a man up." He replied, his words motioning to Chongyun. His back faced to you as he placed the utensils back to their places.
You shook your head in disagreement, despite the fact you knew he couldn't see you. "Nono, it's alright. I think I can bring him to Wangshu Inn with no problem. So, How about I help you clean up, Chef Mao?"
"If you say so, and of course, I couldn't say no to that, even if I wanted to!"
Chongyun awoken with a groan, his hands immediately shielding him from the sun rays that sneakily came through the window binds.
"Huh..? Where am I?" He muttered to himself, eyes blinking twice, before he sat upright. Taking a quick scan around his surroundings, he immediately knew where he was.
"Wangshu Inn. But why am I covered in-" his sentence was cut of by the sight of you sitting down on a chair, your head laying on top of the bed. Your lips curling slightly downwards probably from the dream you're having.
Eyes widening slightly, he took the peaceful image of you in his mind. You looked so graceful sleeping,
despite your messy hair that managed to look quite fluffy to touch. The soft rays of light shining through, your body illuminating softly, giving you such an angelic aura. It almost felt like a dream to him aswell.
With a smile, he patted your hair, running his fingers through your hair. Even if it was tangled. Before placing a small yet gentle kiss on top of your forehead.
He doesn't remember anything that had happened to him during that night, like all the memories have been swiped away from him in a millisecond.
But, he was greatful to have a peaceful morning with you finally in it this time.

The Apothecary
(Hawks x Reader)
100% inspired from this beautiful artwork I found on pinterest ^^
This is my first time publishing any of my fics. I hope it’s enjoyable.
*Skimmed for any mistakes but I may have missed a few*
Words: 2.5k
———————————————
"Tell me something birdbrain. Did you come here in search of a remedy or did you come here to snuggle with my owls?" You scold aloud, brow lifted at the scene before you. It temporarily drew your attention away from the herbs you were blending for the person in question. If he really even needed them that is.
The man was bent over, hovering over the counter and barely burying his entire face into the soft plumage of Gamma's snowy collar, rubbing his nose into its depths, small chuckles resounding from him in his own apparent delight. Simultaneously, Thaddeus perched himself daintily onto the golden locks of his hair, managing to keep himself in place as the man's head moved about beneath him.
What shocked you is that they seemed to be genuinely enjoying his company, whereas they hardly acknowledge your existence throughout the day. It was much unlike how they'd usually act whenever someone walked into the shop. As soon as they heard that little bell chime from the entrance, both birds would take off towards their high perches on opposite ends of the room, making it in their best interest to avoid anyone new.
You didn't mind, nor question their habit. They only preferred your lone company either way, though they'd hardly show it. Much like you'd rather be with their company rather than some other person.
On that slow, peaceful evening, you'd discovered that maybe you don't know your beloved companions as well as you thought. For some reason, Hawks was some sort of an exception to them. Much more than an exception, at that.
For crying out loud, he was snuggling into Gamma and cuddling her as if she were a puppy! And she was letting him.
And Thaddeus. Thaddeus' behavior baffled you on an entirely different level. That was a bird who never permitted you any petting privileges, any time you'd insinuate a head rub, he'd screech at you and fan his wings. Very territorial, he was. At least you thought he was.
Yet here he was, God damn nesting in the hair of a complete stranger as if he'd known the man for years. As if you weren't the one who took him in when he was but a weak, fraile hatchling on the brink of death.
"I think your owls like me." Hawks chuckled, his huge crimson wings ruffling giddily when Gamma had begun to coo at his nuzzles, adoringly.
Jealousy. Blatant jealousy is what you felt. You weren't even going to attempt to hide it. You've tried endless times to get those birds to see you as their loving caretaker, showering them with love and treats and sating their every need, but to no avail. If anything, you think they see you the way a caged tiger would view its neglectful keeper, just a source of food.
You huff out a breath, subconsciously putting in more effort to mash the herbs together with the mortar and pestle than you wished.
Hawks noticed your subtle change in behavior. The way you slammed a small jar onto the counter, flicked off the cap, and aggressively shook out whatever was inside onto the cutting board. Or maybe it was the way you were mashing those herbs with a force that made him wonder if they'd somehow wronged you.
Of course; being him, he'd jumped to a brash conclusion. "Oh? Are you jelly that I'm giving the birds more attention than you?"
You stop your relentless mashing of compounds, staring ahead blankly for a moment before shaking your head. "Don't be ridiculous, I-"
"Awoh, it's nothing to be ashamed of, I completely understand."
"I'm jealous of you, actually."
Hawks blinked in confusion, lifting his head away from the owl's downy feathers and looking over at you.
"Seems like they fancy you more than they could ever me." A half-hearted smile tugged at your lips, the morose tone in your voice was inevitable.
Gamma's wide, intelligent eyes shifted to stare at you. It was like she understood every word you said. Her wings lifted, and with a few swift flaps, she was in the air. You flinched when she landed gracefully into your hair, her sharp talons clenching your head as gently as she could.
Hawks chuckled at how frozen you were in that moment, bringing up a hand to scratch Thaddeus on the chin as he stared. He marveled at the way your cheeks faintly turned a darker shade when Gamma had cooed. She'd began to pick at your head softly in a grooming mannerism.
Thaddeus shifted in Hawks' hair, suddenly growing restless.
"Wanna get closer?" Hawks asked him aloud, rhetorically, obliging to the small hoot he received in response and carefully sauntering over to you, wary of the unstable balance Thaddeus had while being on his head.
By the time he got close, you'd managed to settle Gamma down onto your outstretched bicep, but the stubborn owl only flapped back onto your head. The look on your face almost made Hawks laugh out loud, you were distraught. Torn between salvaging the rare chance at bonding with your companion, and continuing the preparation of a remedy for a paying customer.
He knew how much you cared for those birds, so much that he was willing to let you relish in the moment completely.
The smile on his face was somewhat solemn. "Don't fret witchy. I'm sure I can find some other witch who can cook up what I need."
Your brow ticked at the way he addressed you. "Excuse you. I am not a witch. I'm an Apothecary."
Hawks blinked. "Same difference."
You ignored that. "And even if you could somehow find another suitable Apothecary in the general area, I've been told by several patrons that I am the best of the best." You stated proudly, chin held up high in accordance. "The odds of finding someone more skilled than I are low to say the least."
He always enjoyed how confident you were in your craft. That confidence stemmed from true experience and skill, mastery even. You were right for claiming your profession to be deemed that high of a level, there hasn't been a single time in the past where your restoratives had let him down, no matter what their purpose served. He's glad that your clientele have spread the word of your little place, though they're restricted to hushed exchanges of whispers and secret notes passed in inconspicuous areas, out of the sight of any authorities.
The way you obtained some of your ingredients could be considered illegal if thorough investigation was to prosper, but luckily for you, that was yet to happen. No one was dubious of the little flower shop secluded between two towering office buildings at the farthest corner of the longest street in Kyushu. Hawks wouldn't dare run his mouth about its true nature to anyone, he would much rather heal his battle wounds naturally with one of your blends rather than the harsh steroids they'd stick into his body back at the commission.
"Can't deny that fact." Hawks chuckled, looking at you with apparent appreciation gleaming through his hooded eyes. "You've helped me through some tough calls, I don't think I-" He cut himself off in realization of something.
"I...I don't think I've ever thanked you."
You were quick to bring up the fact that he in fact spoiled you. Tipping you thousands over whatever price you'd ask for, as if money was nothing but a nuisance to him and he needed to get rid of as much of it as possible, it had you wondering if he would flaunt it around so carelessly wherever.
"That's different. Of course I'm gonna pay you in exchange for your meds, I'm not some shitbag. But I've never thanked you before."
Now that you think about it, it's true. The majority of times times he's come here, it's been in an urgent burst through the door, with little time on his hands to so much as greet you. You really can't recall a single time where he's thanked you, since he's usually in such a rush. Here one second, gone the next. His reputation stands firm.
Rarely have there ever been situations like this, where he's able to hang around the shop and wait patiently for you to get his order ready firsthand. You'd looked over your shoulder at him while he was appeasing the owls earlier. He had looked so calm, so sweet and tender in that moment, totally relaxed. It warmed your heart to see him like that.
His concern brought a smile to your face, how adorable to think that it would trouble him this much. "Hawks, trust me, you're fine. I know you're thankful. The proof is in the way that you pay literally five times as much as I could ever ask you for—more than that at times!"
Yup. That sounds like something he'd do, even he'll admit it. He distinctly recalls throwing a fat stack of cash at you in several of his hurried instances, not even bothering to ask for the price, or check how much was in the stack. He tilted his head aside and stuck out his lower lip in consideration of his own antics.
But that doesn't stop him from genuinely thinking that you deserve way more than what you make. You're taking one hell of a risk every time you sell another product to some shady person. He thinks you deserve to be appreciated more for that fact alone.
"Well, for what it's worth, thank you Y/n. Really, I mean it. What you do means a lot to me, more than I can put into words." He held your gaze with an adoration in his eyes that you didn't quite understand.
You've never seen seriousness cross that man's expression as well as it did right then.
He's perpetually cheerful and carefree, flirty more oftentimes than he should be. It surprised you seeing him so lacking in that notorious, glowing charisma. Maybe you'd go as far to say that in that moment, it looked like true joy was something he'd never experienced before. You couldn't even form words, rendered a gaping fish.
And maybe you would've actually taken his word for it, if it wasn't for you being reminded of the fact that the two of you had two big ass birds on your heads when Gamma and Thaddeus unexpectedly hooted in unison.
You and Hawks simultaneously broke eye contact to glance up at each other's birds, locking eyes with one another again.
It went silent for a few seconds.
Hawks' hard expression wavered hesitantly, his lip twitching in a futile attempt to remain serious. You then snorted quietly, biting your lip, and that's all it took for the two of you to burst out into a laughing fit that made you to bend over to clutch your sides, causing Gamma to flee from your head hastily and settle on her perch, Thaddeus following suit towards his respective stand when Hawks stumbled backwards a bit.
They'd managed to both ruin the moment and save it all the same, made it into something you didn't quite know you needed until it happened. A good laugh, one that had your face heating up and your cheeks beginning to hurt as the two of you only grew breathless with glee, struggling to keep your balance as you pressed your weight onto nearby objects to avoid toppling over.
The old Grandfather clock at the back of the shop had begun to chime, signaling the passing of another hour.
The sound caused Hawks to gradually come back down from his laugh-high. He submitted to that professional state of mind that subconsciously clawed at his back at times like these, once he was reminded of where he was supposed to be.
It was like someone snapped their fingers and all happiness was wiped from his face. Other than the faint pink still dusting his cheeks, it looked like the laugh that the two of you shared had never transpired.
You didn't even need to hear him say it. After you'd wiped a tear of joy from your eyes and regained your breath, you'd whirled around, right back to where you'd left off before.
A strange atmosphere settled into the shop. It grew peacefully silent, the rays of the setting sun stretched generously into the stop, accentuating gliding specs of dust in their path and lighting the room in a warm honey glow.
Hawks rolled his shoulders, wings reaching out to their maximum length in a comfortable stretch, as you bagged his things.
He'd requested a strong set of numbing-based remedies and other blends crammed with sedatives. It reminded you of the prep for some sort of illegal surgery, but you weren't one to meddle in the business of your customers.
You'd turned to hand him his bag, but were surprised when there was no sight of the man where he'd previously been.
It took a few glances around the room, you almost missed him at first, but there he was, standing before the display window, gazing distantly at the outside world under the evening glow.
Sometimes you'd catch a deep-rooted hardship in his eyes that was nearly impossible to detect. A flicker of something more, something lost long ago that he longs to have again. At times it looked like he was carrying the weight of the world in his wings and nobody knew it.
Or maybe your seclusion in your craft has run you crazy and you're just imagining it all. That's way more believable, anyway.
You'd walked up to his side, eyes trained on the lively cityscape. The city never slept, always bustling with some sort of commotion, but it was oddly calm on that evening. Nothing but nature in all its shapes and forms, like the gentle autumn breeze that shook the trees, like the songbirds softly jittering in a musical dialect only they understood, plus the ocasional car that would stroll by barely exceeding fifteen miles per hour.
Your gaze drifted back on Hawks, who has yet to notice your presence beside him.
Sometimes I wonder what goes on in that man’s mind, what challenges the relentless day brings him, and how he manages to come out smiling in the end.

Our fight to vote
There are 26 days left until the election and I am going to be speaking on this alot until then.
If you follow me you know that I think it is an honor and privilege to vote. Not so many years ago our ancestors fought and many died for this right you and I now have.
Years ago they had all kinds of road blocks to stop people from voting such as literacy tests, because they knew many could not read. They had grandfather clauses, as in if your grandfather voted you could but many blacks were slaves, so this kept them out of the voting.
If you had a felony, you were disenfranchised. There were taxes placed on voting, and many poor people couldn't afford to pay these taxes and so they could not vote. There were understanding clauses, to see if you could understand the legal terms, many poor people could hardly read let alone understand legal terms and could not pass these tests as well. And women well, women had no rights at all, we were just properly of our husbands. All of this was so they could hold on to power, the power they felt was for rich white men.
Women didn't get the right to vote until 1920, Native Americans didn't get to vote in every state until 1962.
Imagine that, we steal their land and then make them wait until 1962 to vote on a land that was theirs, yeah, that is some kind of shit!
Blacks didn't get the right to vote until 1965! And that was after many years of fighting and being killed for that right. Yes, you read that right only 55 years ago!
They did all of this to target communities so they could hold on to the power. This was common all over the country but in the south it was the worst.
By 1940 only 3% of blacks in the south were registered to vote.
It wasn't until the sixties when the protests finally gave black people the right to vote.
And yet they are still trying to keep our voices from being heard. Did you know that in 2013 the Supreme Court knocked down one of the pillars of the Civil rights movement by saying the areas covered by the voting rights act changed but the law has not kept up.
Capital states and counties that the voting rights act had regulated, could now change their election laws without federal pre clearance. This meant that half of the United States enacted new restrictions on how people voted. This also meant it gave them free reign to make it harder for people to vote.
They had the power to close 1688 polling places and between 2012 and 2018 and lines grew longer. With Black and Latino voters waiting 45% longer than white voters, seriously does this even make any sense? Why? Because they don't want us to have a voice just like back before 1920. They want all of the power, they don't want to know what women, Blacks, Latinos, Native Americans, Asians or any other people of color or poor white people have to say because it doesn't benefit them and their causes.
Then they started talking about voter fraud in 2017, because they figured if you have no transportation to get to the polls on that one day when most of the world must work then they would start to take away your way to vote by mail.
When Trump was elected he got a commission together to look into all of this "voter fraud" but 8 months later he disbanded them because they couldn't find any fraud.
One analysis found that in 3 vote by mail states, they only found 372 suspicious cases out of 14,600.00 ballots. So that tells you they are only trying to do this to suppress votes, to not let our voices hear. The elderly who can't get out, the single moms who must work to feed their families and can't get off in time to vote. The poor who would have to find a way miles away from where they live to vote. Anything to make it harder for many to vote.
Here is a startling fact, did you know most countries besides us have elections on weekends and in a few, voting is more than a right, it is a duty, just like jury duty.
And another huge thing is that almost all of them make voter registration entirely automatic. Wow, what a concept! Imagine that, making voting easier?
And why can't we do this? We already know the answer to this question, because politicians who are getting pay offs, politicians who sit on high benches for life with big benefits don't want any of this to change, are you kidding? They like that the good ole boys are still running the show but one thing that they have forgotten is that we are the voice of this country. We have the power to change things, and so we need to vote, to run for office, to speak out for change because change starts with one person. One person like Rosa Parks that finally had the courage to say enough is enough. We need to be that one person, we need to change this broken system, we need more people that look like us to take charge and make changes.
So today my friends remember we only have 26 more days left and I am begging you to go out and vote… to make a change.
We need to change all of this, to find out more go to vox.com/vote.
"Be the change you want to see"
"And just when the caterpillar thought his life over...he turned into a beautiful butterfly"
