a/n: just a short very rushed post TT (might turn it into a full fic teehee i love this idea) - I'll post my pending fics soon, one of them probably in a few hours cuz i js got home from uni n it's almost 8pm :3

The first time Abby saw you in the WLF’s medical bay, she couldn’t help but stare. You were standing over someone’s arm, stitching them up with practiced efficiency. Your face was calm, expression unreadable, and while you didn’t spare anyone more than a glance, there was something magnetic about you. Something she couldn’t place.

She knew she liked girls, knew it the same way she liked guys. It wasn’t new. But you? You were.

Maybe it was the way you carried yourself, unapologetic and unbothered by the chaos around you. You were nice enough when you needed to be, but there was a cold edge to your words that made people straighten up when you talked. Abby wasn’t sure why, but it made her want to keep watching.

The first time she came to see you, Manny was at her side. He was rattling on about how she could’ve dodged better during their patrol when Abby cut him off with a laugh. "It’s just a scratch." But it wasn’t just a scratch. She’d made sure of that.

You didn’t say much as you cleaned the cut on her arm. Just a quick "Sit still" when she fidgeted and a sharp "You’re not going to get far if you keep being reckless." Abby’s heart did something stupid when you said that. It felt like you’d seen right through her.

And maybe you had, because she found herself in your med bay again not long after. Then again. Each time, the injuries were small but deliberate—a scrape here, a bruise there. Enough to warrant a visit, not enough to stop her from heading back out.

"You keep showing up here," you said one day, not looking up from the gauze you were wrapping around her knuckles. "You’re either careless or stupid."

Abby smirked, ignoring the way her chest tightened at your tone. "Maybe I just like your company."

You glanced at her then, your expression unreadable as always. For a second, she thought you might laugh, but instead, you just shook your head and finished the bandage. "Try not to get hurt again, Anderson."

She didn't make any promises.

Seeing the reactions to the Orlok & Ellen relationship is when I realized that gothic romance is really being disowned these days to simply portray it as the worst forms of abuse. Seeing people often say that Wuthering Heights and Jane Eyre aren't romances was already a big clue, but seeing firsthand how people must receive gothic romance with the recent release of Nosferatu hits me even harder. Not only is media literacy dying, but a genre of literature and romance seems to be dying as well.

You thought you fucking did something by not voting, well guess what, this is partially your fault. You allowed this to happen. By not voting for Trump’s opponent, you let him win. I hope you’re fucking happy with yourself. Good fucking job.

Now everyone will suffer the consequences of your actions. Not only you americans, but people outside of the US as well.

You thought you stopped a genocide supporter, but you allowed another one, who by the way is much much worse, to come into power (AGAIN). You keep talking about how the system needs to be changed or whatever, and you joke about overthrowing the government, and that votes change nothing. Yet you don’t do anything. You want a revolution? Then fucking start one. Come on, change the system. Overthrow the government, go ahead. “Both candidates are evil and I don’t want either to be president!” THEN DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT.

Oh, you don’t actually want to do that? It sounds scary and impossible to achieve? Then you better at least fucking vote next time. Make a difference.

I know I'm mostly unashamedly thirsting for Abby on here, but like lemme be soft for a minute. Can you imagine her lying on your lap after a long day, running your fingers through her hair as she snuggles closer to you. You can feel her hands tightening her grip on your thigh as she looks up to you with those pretty eyes, all lovestruck and sleepy. Her lips would slowly turn into a small smile, and she would whisper, “I love you so so much,” before reaching up and softly kissing you. She would grab the throw blanket that barely covered her and slowly drift off to sleep, leaving you to trace little shapes on her muscular shoulders and wondering how lucky you are to be able to call someone like Abby Anderson yours.
