As stated on the institution's website, the INESC TEC "is a private non-profit research association, with Public Interest status, dedicated to scientific research and technological development, technology transfer, advanced consulting and training, and pre-incubation of new technology-based companies".

The video adresses different projects that are being developed by the institution and how serious games can help in their execution. As shown in the video, virtual games are not just for pleasure. The common enthusiasm for digital games can be channeled into something more than leisure. Thus, we enter the domain of serious games.

Serious games are the act of giving a playful nature to activities that are not, in order to try to make them more attractive. They appear as a tool that facilitates participation in the INSEC TEC projects, helping those involved to carry out the proposed activities with greater enthusiasm.
