Tahiti, isola della Polinesia francese. De Roller è l’Alto Commissario della repubblica transalpina e rappresentante del governo sul territorio. CO - AQUARIC COMMUNAL

Food Industries : Phase 3.1 + 3.2 

Concept : To merge the two worlds together , blue and green .

Protocol : CO - AQUARIC COMMUNAL is designed  especially for the fishermen to allow those small population of the village to be able to keep the tradition of fishing of since 100 years ago, to preserve this traditional culture to the future generations .  

The CO - AQUARIC COMMUNAL project will create a better relationship connection between humankind and aquaric sealife by understanding them more , preserving them for future generations and keep this marvelous natural scenery alive forever.

The CO - AQUARIC COMMUNAL is inspired from coral reefs that grows like a tree structure with geodesic domes in the upper and lower part. Domes are designed to effectively use the space effienctly , to allow the visitor to experience at maximum view. With the big core located at the middle , able to watch around in 360 degree and control every situation.

The structure is designed to located in the middle of the deep ocean away from the shore is because of the nutrition that the sealife farm must be able to receive from the ocean. So that the fish that are farmed are able to grow in the perfect nature environment and also in faster rate.

This aquaric space is organized mainly in three functions which are self - aquafarming of various species including octopus, for the fishermen ‘s self sustainability for their family , followed by eco tourism , to create a spatial experience for vistiors to come and explore the new blue world and learn about the fishermen , and followed by the last is to recreate , to fill the gaps , to reculturing the blue ocean by regrowing and helping the ocean to create a better ecology system. And also to create the connectio between the two world , between green and blue.

The dome structure is designed in hexagonal geodesic structure as it has the most efficient structure to use to tesselate into a two-dimensional spaces which is usually hexagonal and also hexagonal shape helps in reducing greenhouse gas.

Education center in the top two floors , giving the knowledge of fishermen ‘s history and how the aquaculture project with help the future generation.

The structure is also inspired from the panoticism theory of control people in the form of centralized room in the middle of everything . Moreover most of the parts are designed in glass to allow the full vision of exploring the remarkable view.

Core structure is designed on the outside in the form of net which is as biorock structure which helps the coral reef to grow in faster rate. And in the interior coral , the space is designed in spiral form to allow people to walk and experience the view of the deep blue ocean.

Using pneumatic architecture , the eyeball in the hotel section is designed in a circular pneumatic structures using strong laminated fibreglass, nylon, or polyester, coated with polyvinyl chloride (PVC), silicon rubber or Teflon for weather protection, the electronically welded components are tailored to define the building shape.

The space is 180m in width and 200m in height , this can fill people more hundreds people at a time. Width of the spiral pole structure  is 20m.  With panoticism concept the center dome is able to control the other four domes effienctly.

In this spiral structure , this allows visitor , tourists to experience at maximum concentration by walking down the spiral stairs. Also even the transparent elevator is available for people who does not want to walk down.

The concept of creating a better living space for japanese fishermen by constructing the aquafarming in the sea and create and eco-tourism for visitor to understand more of fishermen , to create a self - sustainability for funaya family ( having their own income of producing fish themselves ) and recreating the new ocean by releasing parts of the fish aquafarming , returning them back to the nature, to repopulated the sealife. And most importantly the link between green worldd and blue world.

In the town of Ine there are unique buildings called funaya, and a lifestyle which is centred on the fishing and farming industries has been carried on since olden times. Funaya span along 5km of the south-facing Ine bay, 230 houses are currently in existence, and people are in coexistence with the sea before their eyes.

Ine is known for its rich fishing history and the distinct looking funaya (boat houses) which dot the bay line. These waterfront buildings are typically used as garages for boats or storage, while the owner’s residence is usually situated just across the road, behind the funaya.

The unique Ine buildings which have existed since the 1700s were at first storage houses for wooden boats built for hanging up fishing nets. The current funaya were repaired along with the change of the times, the first floor is a combined boat garage and workspace for fishermen, and the second floor is used as a living area.

The scenery of the these 230 funaya standing in a row can only be seen in the town of Ine, and an original Japanese landscape which has not been turned into a tourist attraction can be found here. The structure is designed to located in the middle of the deep ocean away from the shore is because of the nutrition that the sealife farm must be able to receive from the ocean. So that the fish that are farmed are able to grow in the perfect nature environment and also in faster rate.

As times passes, nature will change these big structure into a coral reef as a whole where this creates a gigantic habitat for fish and other sealife , leading to a better and enrichment of sea condition. Recreating a better ecology system , just the ship that sink in the ocean for many years.

CO - AQUARIC COMMUNAL creates a spatial condition for the marine life , recreating the blue habitat from what it is being destroyed by humans , renovating into a much better and happier place for fish and other sealife. Futhermore , this is not just for the marine life alone but this space also creates a spatial experience , a new oceanic kind of , a blue world experience where they have never been before in human history. A space that creates a better link , a better bond between humans and fish , the green world and the blue world , merging together to create an understand and  live together which it has to be. Susanoo , God of the sea , never told us how beautiful her blue world was , how precious and impressive their fish cultural world look like. And here it is the project that bring the blue world back from the destruction of overfishing . This also creates better economy for the Ine fishermen as they are self sustainable , able to survive their family and at the same time , helping the Susanoo to rebuild the new blue world.

Everyone benefits in their aspects. Fishermen are able to produce enough fish for their self sustainability for their family. Having enough fish to sell for the economic monetary flow. Moreover this also creates a better tourist attraction in the funaya village and could also become a place for traditional education of fishing techniques and legends for ancient fishermen of Japan. As they are able to self-sustain themselves and curing ocean and helping the Susanoo , God of the Sea , at the same time by farming the fish and later releasing the fish out , back to the nature.

And finally the comparison between the past and future 

The changes that has to be made for the fishermen’s future.

Above view is the one quarter part of the city. l landed on the big long building which is built across the city. The building has several floors which consists of 2 shopping levels, communal space level, car park and garden at the ground floor.There are also several link ways which are connected to different buildings inside the city. l took the link way from top floor to get to my residents.

As I was walking along the passage way , I first arrived at the greenhouse building inside the city. Then I took the spiral walk way down to the floor that has another link way to another building. After I took the second link way , I reached one of the office building. I took the lift to ground floor and exited the building.

Most of the houses here are not higher than 3 floors and very similar in structure. I feel like I was walking inside the maze and afraid of getting lost inside it. But I was told to remember the layout of city from above so that I knew the way around the city and get to my destination without getting lost.  

The rich are mostly occupied at the very top part of the city. Below them are middle class staying and then poor at the bottom. The schools, the shopping area, the market place are located at the center part of the city.

In Eudoxia, the transportation is mainly on foot. Because the cars cannot go inside the streets as the streets are so narrow and there are too many up and down steps and alley.

Languages

Peking duck - Cooking Run

Food delivery is very popular nowadays. It is very easy and convenient to every consumption especially people live in apartment and building. However, food delivery also gives a lot of drawbacks such as causing diseases, contaminated food, and plastic pollution.

To develop the project, I scope down to focus on food delivery costumer, students living in dormitory.

From the observation, most students in dormitory use food delivery service because they have small kitchen or have no kitchen in most case. Also, the food delivery is convenient for eating because they do not have to buy products and cook by themselves which some of them found it is hard.

Therefore, to enhance the situation, my first idea is to provide a common cooking space for students and people living in apartments. I choose Chulalongkorn university dormitory as a project’s case study. To make it easier, I design mobile application named “Cooking Run” for facilitate the use of this cooking space as a marketing and advertising. The application is a first idea of solving every issues I found from my research.

Following the application, I started to design the kitchen which I have an idea from Chulalongkorn left over, the old Pop bus. I design and renovate the old bus in to new cooking bus running around the university. The concept is to reuse the waste and make it valuable.

The bus does not just contain cooking and eating space, it also gives mingle or meeting space to users as they can have a conversation, interaction, and exchanging their knowledge or idea together.

As the bus will run along Chulalongkorn university street, I do not want the bus to be an obstacle and ruin others daily life such as traffic. I design the bus to be able to transform folding in and out to fit the car lanes.

To expand more interesting experiences and societies, the bus can also connect together to create a community space and events. Moreover, on every Friday night, there is a special event from professional chef and guest in order to teach and increase a cooking experiences to audiences. This event will be helpful for people who are not skilled at cooking.

The benefits of the cooking bus can affect on both consumers and environment. The consumers will have better health because of eating fresh food without using plastic containers. The plastic pollution is decreased also.  Moreover, the bus provides a well wastes management, we can reuse the wastes in the right way.

The another important thing is you will never have your dining alone again if you join the our community bus.

Hedonistic Infrastructure

The Nest is an infrastructure dedicated to serve as a safe space for the subculture. Locating in the district on Bonkai, the space aims to function as a joint connecting the controversial subculture to the general public. It also serves as a secondary gathering space outside of the arena where they can safely practice their activity. Additionally, it also contribute to the spiritual belief of the subculture  being a memorial and ritualistic space.

Site The site The site of the building locates in the gateway of the Bonkai community. The space is selected due to it long history and connection with the subculture being a place where people who come from rural area settle to enjoy the sport of cockfighting.

Life The space of life is at the moment of entrance in the building facing the traditional community. It functions as a place where they can safely practice their daily activity of bounding with their chicken and community. The topography of the space allows both human and chicken to coexist with each other through separation of space by landscape. Gathering space and units within the life space are extracted from the elements and scale use within the arena and training space.

Death The death space allows those within the building to journey and observe the whole life cycle of the cockfighting chicken through the horizontal circulation of the building. The final spot of the space appear the ruin of an cockfighting arena which have now been transformed to be a communal space embracing the life of the chicken. The user would then pass through a space where they have a chance to observe and pay tribute to the life of the chicken by hanging their shoulder piece on the world

Facade The exterior facade of the building is a dynamic facade which at a specific time of the day open to allows light and wind to enter the space. The facade itself is extracted from the biological mechanic of a chicken feather.
