The sharp voice plucked the vampire from her thoughts. It was then that she realised that Elenwen didn’t want answers.

She wanted Serana to surrender.

“Escape is futile,” the Thalmor Ambassador drawled with a tut. “No one knows where you are. No one is coming to save you.” She leaned forward and sneered. “You can resist as much as you like, but you will bend, just like all the others did before you.”

Phantom fingers dug and twisted into her dark hair. Her scalp seared. A black altar lingered in her mind’s eye.

“Escape is futile, Serana. You will obey me as my daughter, or you will die for your defiance!”

Her pale fingers clenched into fists, her nails biting deeply into her palms. She had blindly succumbed to the whims of others, once; never again would she bow so easily.

“Do your worst,” Serana challenged in a hiss, her fangs bared. “You won’t have her. And you won’t break me.”

A Moment of Redirection

"Seranaaaa." Elena whined.

Serana laughed quietly. "I’m almost done."

"I’m dying." Elena had snagged a classroom chair, boots kicked up on a desk as her head hung over the back of the chair. "I sound like Runa."

"Yes, you do." She looked up briefly seeing the grin that lit up Elena’s face.

"So if I whined mama instead-" Serana threw a pencil at her and Elena only laughed. "I won’t but are you done yet?"

"If you’d let me work I would be."

"Ugh." Elena grumbled under her breath. "This is what I get for always working late."

"I have an easier time occupying myself while I wait."

"I could but we are at school, and I am pretty sure that’s illegal." Serana set down her pen, fixing her with a look. "What? It’s not like you don’t seduce me at my work."

"It does get you out the door. How dead is your phone?"

"It’s off dead." She poked it forlornly where it sat on the desk. "Traitor."

"This is the only downside to us riding in together." She informed her as she went back to grading papers. 

"Nooo, the downside is I took off work early to spend time with my beautiful wife who has abandoned me." Serana snorted. "I know, I know. Just cause the kids aren’t here doesn’t mean you’re done." 

"You could tighten the screws on some of the chairs. My wigglers won’t appreciate it, but they won’t fall to their deaths."

"Game on." Elena hopped out of the chair, yanked her utility knife from one of her many pockets and got to work. 

Three chairs later she looked up thoughtfully. "I should be mad you just pulled the redirection nonsense on me."

"It worked."

"It did." Elena laughed and started on the 4th chair.

Kaidan and the ldb have been together for a long time, has gone through only god knows how many ordeals, almost facing their demise and well... Kaidan still has no clue of his spouse's name.

Now you know why he always calls you his sweetheart, love, darling, changeling and etc whereas you ALWAYS call him by his name.

Cinnmir’s head snapped up, eyes wide and wild with a frightened realisation. He then sputtered uselessly, his voice briefly entangled in nervous yet desperate nonsense. The redhead hardened her icy gaze and stepped towards him. He flinched.

“Where,” Vigdis iterated dangerously, “is Serana?”

“I—I don’t know,” he stammered out after a hard gulp. “I just did what they told me to do, which was using the poison or whatever it was and giving her to them—so she’s not dead or anything! I’m pretty sure it just put her to sleep for a while, but I . . .”

His words were suddenly reduced to nothing but muffled white noise. Her ears rang; her throat dried; her body went numb.

What had she done?

A pale hand lingered in the peripheral of her vision. Vigdis knew that hand—knew its slender fingers and its cold, soft skin. She could feel it brushing her freckled cheek and raking through her fiery hair, welcoming its frozen sting.

Yet dark blood soon pooled beneath it. The vampire’s perfectly statuesque hand became bloated and decayed. The rotten stench saturated her lungs—and she couldn’t breathe. Vigdis inhaled—

And all she could feel was fire; all she could taste was blood; all she could see was red.

Miraak

honestly accepting he had feelings for the Dragonborn was hard enough and then finding out they have a s/o? He is going through it. He’s mainly filled with anger in some sense mixed with jealousy. He’s constantly going back and forth in his mind from being mad at himself for even having these feelings to being mad at their s/o, in his eyes they will never be good enough for the Dragon born. Miraak is definitely not one to tell the Dragon born EVER though. He tries to contain his emotions so it’s not obvious but if you look hard enough it’s pretty easy to tell. He’s praying for the downfall of the relationship, but also he’s like “as long as their happy I guess but don’t settle for less.” He’s the biggest hater out there.

Serana

Serana also had a hard time accepting her feelings but for much different reasons, she didn’t want to be vulnerable in that way. She had planned on telling the dragon born but she kept on pushing it off mentally going back and forth on wether she should tell them or not. After finding out they had a s/o Serana was sad but relieved she found out before she told them. She was happy they had someone but it was still a lot to deal with. Serana will tell them eventually, but she isn’t asking them out, she just wants to communicate how she feels about them, which is still really hard but she’s less stressed than before. She has an open and honest talk and hopes the feelings go away, she does isolate herself for a bit, just so she can be alone with herself and her thoughts.

Ulfric

honestly I don’t know much abt ulfric but I think he’d just like accept it. He’d be upset for sure but idk I think his confidence would like prevent him from being…distraught? He’s just a little sad by it and like gives himself a pep talk like “you are strong and could have anyone you want. Do not stress.” Idk I don’t know ulfric well bc I don’t rlly talk w him in game so that’s just what I imagined.

"Mhm?" She didn’t look up from her book.

"That’s how I feel right now." She stretched, letting her head dangle off the couch to stare perplexedly at her from under the ballcap. "What exactly did you give me?"

"A brownie."

"No shit, smartass." She laughed. "I meant what the fuck is in it."

"Moon sugar." She shut the book, balancing it and her hands on her tucked up legs and broke into a grin at the play of emotions across Elena’s face.

She settled on indignant. "You roofied me?!"

"Does your head hurt?" She asked with a meaningful arch of her brows.

Elena was quiet a moment. "I don’t think I have one."

"And I did tell you." Serana giggled. "Your response was "fuck it"."

"Such language." She snorted and settled back more comfortably on to the couch. "Wake me up when you go to bed?"

"You could just go to bed."

"No, I can’t." She informed her with a yawn and pulled the hat down over her eyes. "I want cuddles and if I don’t guilt you to bed, you’ll stay up all night with that book."

Can absolutely do dear Dragonborn~

It was a colder evening out by Riverwood, you'd gotten an inn room there for the night since traveling could get tiring when you didn't take the time to sit down...

You'd been in by the fire for a little while before you'd noticed Serana wasn't beside you, leaving the fire you checked your room with no sign of her before heading out the door. Outside you found her, her hood up as she sat by the river gazing up at the stars and moons. There was always a beautiful spark in her eye when she was outside admiring nature, even if the sun tended to annoy her...

You quietly approached, sitting down beside her to look up at the sky with a gentle hum,

"Did you miss the stars when you were in that cave? I think I would have..."

She paused and gave a gentle smile, nodding a bit as she pulled down her hood.

"Its easy to miss simple things like the warmth of a fire and the glow of the stars, even the dogs back at the Dawgaurd are so soft...much better than the hounds back at the castle~"

She chuckled softly as you admired the way her raven hair shone in the moonlight, gently taking one if her hands and holding it with a nod.

"I don't get the time to stop and admire it all sometimes, everywhere I go there's a new enemy to face or challenge to take on...its nice taking a second to breathe and see the beauty of Nirn..."

Serana seemed surprised by how sweet that sounded, happily squeezing your hand and nodding in agreement as she looked from the sky to the river by her feet

"Its a shame the nights are so cold here, I couldn't dream of going swimming during the daylight but I wouldn't want you to freeze to death~"

You paused and laughed, she had a point about the cold but you just hummed softly.

"Me getting cold shouldn't stop you from swimming, aren't you just about immune to freezing anyways~?"

She shrugged happily.

"Well sure, but it's much less fun if I can't swim with the Dragonborn don't you think?"

You laughed and nodded, thinking about it a moment before getting up.

"If I have strong enough frost resistance in my bag we can see about that swim~"

She laughed softly as you headed back into the inn, rifling through your things as you found a couple good rings, a potion, and an old spellbook you picked up who knows how long...should be enough! You used up that book and potion, putting on the rings before heading out and taking off your boots by the river.

"Lucky you, I had plenty, at least enough for this chill~"

Serana snorted softly and took her hood off properly, setting it aside gently as she got to taking off her shoes.

"Look at you always so prepared, that bag of yours is bottomless, did you enchant it or something~?"

You tilted your head side to side and laughed a little.

"Something like that, I guess~"

She laughed a bit at you, letting you help her out of her dress once you were in just your underwear before she playfully shoved you into the river with a splash! You laughed softly and splashed her though as she got in the water herself...seeing her do something she wanted to do with such a big smile made you so happy, happy you freed her and happy that you'd grown so close.

"Hey, Serana?"

You hummed softly in the water as she looked at you with a big ole smile on her face, her little fangs glinting in the light.

"Yeah~?"

You hesitated but smiled softly at her, splashing her with a little bit of water.

"Got you~!"
