France is the most famous tourist destination in the world for multiple reasons. Besides its natural and cultural beauty, France has an extensive background of intellectual strength. The country’s universities are well known for offering excellent education in various fields, attracting students from around the globe seeking a France Study Visa.
In French universities, there is a wide range of programs that are both standard and unique, ranging from arts and humanities to science and engineering.
Now you can ask why you should study in France. There are many reasons why one should study abroad in France, such as an opportunity to join a top university and be fully immersed in a language and society that is known worldwide. Living in a globally-minded community would enhance your education and broaden your perspectives.
But before relocating to France for higher study, students must complete the application process for a France student visa. In this piece of guide, we will discuss about the significant things to take care while applying for student Visa for France.
Here are nine important things you should keep in mind when applying for a visa to Study in France:
1) Right Business School or University
Getting into the right school sets the stage for your future academic and career goals. France has many well-known business schools and universities known for their creative programmes and high academic standards.
International students benefit from Studying abroad in France even without taking the IELTS or any English test. This makes visiting France easier for non-English speakers, making it a popular college destination.
2) Best Suitable Program to Study
For a fulfilling educational experience, it is important to look into programmes that match your academic interests and job goals. Many programmes in France are designed to meet the needs of international students. Business programmes are very common. Master of Management (MIM) degrees in Finance, HR, and Marketing prepare students for worldwide success.
Also, choosing an 18-month programme gives you plenty of time to focus on your studies and look for student jobs. In France, many schools offer internships or part-time jobs that give students important real-world experience and the chance to meet new people.
3) Your Documents Checklist
Visa applicants must pay great attention to every detail and have all the necessary papers. Documents that are often needed are:
Proof of being enrolled: A letter from the school you want to attend stating that you have been accepted into a programme.
Statements of money: Proof that you have enough money to pay for education, living costs, and other costs related to the programme.
Coverage for health insurance: Proof that you have full health insurance that covers your whole stay in France.
Passport that works: Check that your passport has two blank pages for visa stamps and is valid in France.
You must carefully examine the list of materials the French study abroad consultant or office provides to ensure the application procedure runs smoothly. For further details explore France VFS Checklist by Edugo Abroad, we are a top Europe education consultant located in India.
4) Post Study Work Option
Knowing what jobs, you can get after finishing school in France is important for planning your future career. France has policies are good for international students who want to find work after graduation. For example, you can stay longer to look for work or go to school for longer.
With the temporary residence card, students can stay in France and look for work for up to 24 months after graduation. During this time frame, graduates can work full-time in any area without needing any other work authorization. Additionally, graduates from French schools may be able to get a "Passport Talent" visa, which makes the transition from student to job easier.
5) Employment & Job Opportunities in France
France's strong economy and wide job opportunities are good news for skilled workers in many fields. Foreign graduates can employ their talents and knowledge in technology, healthcare, finance, and hospitality.
Make local connections and check your school's internship or job placement programmes to boost your chances of finding meaningful work in France. Speaking and writing French well can increase your work prospects and help you integrate into French culture.
6) Settlement Options with Family After Study
Everyone needs to know the visa rules of Student Visa for France from India and how to reconnect with family if they want to live in France permanently or bring family members. Family reunions and long-stay visas for dependent children and spouses are available in France.
To reconcile with your family, you must have a stable salary, a suitable home, and enough health insurance for everyone. Planning and talking to immigration officials or lawyers can speed up family reunification and help your loved ones adjust.
7) Diplomatic Relationship of France with India
France and India have diplomatic links, including working together, sharing culture, and making strategic partnerships in many areas. High-level visits and projects led by leaders like Prime Minister Narendra Modi have strengthened relations between the two countries and encouraged them to work together in areas like defence, science, education, and more.
These diplomatic ties help Indian students learn in France through academic exchange programmes, scholarships, and cultural projects. The fact that there are Indian societies and cultural groups in France also helps Indian students get used to living in a new country.
8) Affordability of Cost in France
Even though France has a high standard of life and a world-class school system, you need to know how much it costs to live there to prepare your money. The cost of living varies by city; Paris costs more than other cities.
Lodging, transportation, food, medical bills, and personal expenses are crucial. Live in student accommodation or shared apartments, travel the bus or train, and cook to cut costs. Another way for international students to get money is to look into scholarship programmes, part-time jobs, and financial aid programmes.
9) Choosing the right Application & Visa Advisor
Applying for a French student Visa can be difficult, especially for international students who don't know how French immigration works. Selecting a reputable application and visa consultant or guide can be very helpful and supportive during the application process.
When hiring an advisor, consider experience, name, success record, and cost and service transparency. A skilled advisor from France visa consultants in Ahmedabad will help you gather papers, fill out visa application forms, schedule visa interviews, and address any concerns.

Red, White & True: Houston [3/?]
Tumblr media
Characters/Pairings: Steve Rogers x curvy Millennial Female!Reader Word Count: 3.4k Summary: Things are shifting in just the ten days since realigning the campaign strategy to keep you and Steve on the trail together and to sharpen some of the policies and messaging. You're starting to hit a new stride as you make a stop in Houston, and the city also affords you a unique opportunity to meet with a former President and First Lady.
Content/Warnings: marriage of political convenience, slow burn, brief political discussion of climate change
Notes: This takes place in a post-Endgame scenario where Steve stays and generally most of TFATWS happened.
POLITICAL NOTES: It's been a big week with the 2024 election. This story - while a romance - revolves around a presidential campaign, and so there will be political policy incorporated, but I am not inviting political discourse. If you don't agree in regards to anything in the brief section climate change policy, that is okay but I do not want to hear about it.

[SEPTEMBER 17 - Houston]
The Houston heat hits you like a wall as you step off the campaign bus, the air thick and heavy with humidity. You blink against the bright Texas sun, grateful for the large sunglasses shielding your eyes. The crowd gathered outside the community center is already substantial, a sea of red, white, and blue signs waving in the afternoon heat.
Steve steps off the bus behind you, and you feel his presence at your back, solid and reassuring. You turn to him, offering a smile that's part genuine, part for the cameras you know are capturing your every move. He returns it, his hand coming to rest lightly on the small of your back - a gesture that's become second nature for public appearances, yet still sends a confusing whoosh through your stomach each time. But you push through and ignore it as you both wave to the cheering crowd.
"Ready?" he asks, leaning in close enough so you can hear over all the noise.
You nod, taking a deep breath. "Let's do this."
The two of you make your way along the line of the crowd, shaking hands and exchanging greetings as you go. You've gotten better at this part over the months - the constant smiling, the brief but warm interactions, the way to make each person feel seen and heard in just a few seconds. Steve, of course, is a natural at it, his charisma and sincerity shining through with every handshake and small bit of conversation.
As you near the entrance to the community center, you spot a group of young people holding signs about climate change and renewable energy. Your eyes meet Steve's, and you see the same thought reflected there - these are exactly the voters you've been trying to reach.
Without missing a beat, you veer slightly off course, heading towards the group. Steve follows your lead, and you can practically feel the collective intake of breath from your security detail.
"Hi there," you say warmly as you approach. "Thank you, we’re so glad you came out today.”
"Thank you for being here," Steve adds, his voice warm and genuine. "I see you're passionate about climate change. That's something I care deeply about, too."
A young woman with curly hair and bright eyes steps forward. "We appreciate that, but we've heard a lot of politician talk before. What specific actions will you take to address the climate crisis if elected?"
You exchange a quick glance with Steve, impressed by the young woman's directness. This is exactly the kind of engagement you've been hoping for.
"That's an excellent question," you begin, "and I'm glad you're asking it. Steve has developed a comprehensive plan to tackle climate change, including immediate steps he'll take in the first 100 days."
Steve nods, picking up where you left off. "We're committed to a systemic overhaul of energy sources and infrastructure along with transitions and expansion for public transportation. We know that infrastructure is an opportunity - not only to address climate change, but to transform the economy by creating job opportunities as we build and transition away from coal, gas, and oil. It will also address the severe need to update existing power grids that are failing.
"But it's not just about policy and output right now," Steve continues, his voice passionate. "It's about creating a sustainable future for your generation and those that follow instead of just talking about it. But as we talk, we want to work with young leaders like yourselves to make sure your voices are heard in shaping these policies - you’ll be living with them longer than the rest of us."
You watch as the young woman's expression shifts from skepticism to cautious interest. "And how exactly do you plan to do that?" she asks.
"Well, for starters, we're here listening to you right now," you say with a smile. "But Steve plans to create a Youth Climate Council that will have direct input on policy decisions. We want to bring fresh perspectives and innovative ideas to the table."
Steve nods in agreement. "And we're not just talking about advisory roles. We want to create pathways for young people to enter public service and take on leadership positions in environmental agencies."
The group exchanges glances, clearly impressed by the specifics and taking Steve more seriously for not brushing them off or placating them quickly in a picket line.
Steve presses further, "What specific actions do you think are most critical? What solutions have you seen proposed that resonate with you?"
The young woman looks slightly taken aback, clearly not expecting to be asked for her input. But she recovers quickly. "Well, you mentioned it, but we need to transition away from fossil fuels much faster than current plans allow. The movement for offshore wind farms should be accelerated - especially on the East Coast. And we need to protect vulnerable communities who will be hit hardest by climate change."
Steve nods encouragingly. "Those are excellent points. In fact, environmental justice is a key component of our climate plan. We're proposing initiatives to ensure clean air and water in all communities, especially those that have historically borne the brunt of pollution."
Another young man in the group speaks up. "What about jobs? My dad works in the oil industry. He's worried about losing his livelihood if we move too quickly on clean energy."
Steve turns to him, his expression thoughtful. "That's a valid concern, and it's one we take very seriously. We're not looking to leave anyone behind in this transition. Our plan includes a comprehensive job retraining program for workers in fossil fuel industries. We want to create new opportunities in clean energy sectors, so people like your dad can be part of building a sustainable future without sacrificing their livelihoods."
You nod, adding, "We're looking at ways to incentivize companies to retool their existing facilities for clean energy production. It's not just about creating new jobs, but also about transforming existing ones."
The young man seems to consider this, nodding slowly. "That sounds... promising. I'd like to learn more about that."
Sophia and Bucky begin to press in, signaling that you need to move along to get into the actual event.
"We're limited for time here, but we’d be eager to discuss more details," you say, reaching into your bag and pulling out a business card. "Here's my contact information. Please reach out soon, I mean it.”
You and Steve then get ushered inside, hand in hand.
Later that night, you get a rare opportunity, and one you’ve been excited but also nervous for since it landed on your schedule the week before.
Former President and First Lady Matt and Helen Santos have invited you to their Houston home for dinner and drinks. It’s not a public appearance, so that takes some of the pressure off, but you're still acutely aware of the significance of this meeting. The Santos administration remains widely regarded as one of the most successful in recent history, and their endorsement - even an implicit one - could be a game-changer for the campaign.
Beyond that it's a chance to learn from a couple who've been through the crucible of a presidential campaign and life in the White House.
Tumblr media
Helen Santos greets you at the door, her warm smile immediately putting you at ease. "Come in! We're so glad you could make it," she says, ushering you inside.
The interior of the home is tastefully decorated, a blend of modern and traditional styles that feels both impressive and comfortable. You spot several family photos on the walls, reminders that despite their status, the Santos family is just that - a family.
Matt Santos appears from what you assume is the kitchen, wiping his hands on a dish towel. "Welcome, you two," he says, shaking Steve's hand and giving you a brief hug. "I hope you’re hungry! It’s humble, but I’m putting the finishing touches on my chili."
“Don’t let him fool you,” Helen says, “he’s anything but humble about it.”
“Sorry, did I forget to mention the recipe won a blue ribbon before I got into politics? Because it did, so it wasn’t a biased award,” he clarifies.
You all laugh, and the warmth and welcome these two generate in those first few minutes is remarkable, and something that truly soothes your heart in ways you didn’t know you were hungry for.
As you settle into the Santos' comfortable living room, Helen offers drinks. You accept a glass of wine, grateful for something to occupy your hands. Steve opts for water, ever the responsible candidate.
"So," Matt says, leaning back in his armchair, "how's the campaign trail treating you? I remember those days - exhilarating and exhausting in equal measure."
Steve nods, a wry smile on his face. "That's an apt description. It's been... intense. But rewarding."
"And how are you two holding up as a couple?" Helen asks, her eyes kind but perceptive. "The campaign trail can be brutal, especially on a relationship."
You glance at Steve, unsure how to answer. Your relationship is still mostly for show, but you've grown closer over the past few weeks. Before you can formulate a response, Steve speaks up.
"It's been an adjustment," he says diplomatically. "But we're figuring it out."
Matt nods knowingly. "Helen and I had been married for years before we ran, and it was still a challenge. I can't imagine doing it as newlyweds."
You smile, trying to hide your discomfort. "It's certainly been a unique experience," you say, opting for honesty. "We're learning a lot about each other very quickly."
Helen leans forward, her expression sympathetic. "I'm sure it's overwhelming at times. The scrutiny, the constant demands on your time and energy. It can be a lot to handle, especially when you're still getting to know each other."
You nod, feeling a wave of relief at her understanding. "It is overwhelming," you admit. "But it's exciting, in its own way. We're building something together, not just as a couple but for the country."
Steve reaches over and takes your hand, giving it a gentle squeeze. The gesture surprises you, but you try not to let it show. "She's been incredible," he says, his voice warm. "I couldn't ask for a better partner in this.”
Helen regards you both, her expression warm but serious. "I hope you don't mind me saying this, pulling out my First Lady moment already, but I've been watching you two. Not just tonight, but throughout the campaign. There's something there, between you. A spark, a connection. Don't lose that in all the craziness of the campaign."
You feel your cheeks flush slightly, caught off guard by Helen's perceptiveness. You wonder if she’s speaking in general or if she suspects yours is a politically arranged marriage. You glance at Steve, who looks equally surprised.
Matt chimes in, "Helen's right. The campaign is important, but at the end of the day, it's your relationship that will sustain you through the challenges ahead. Trust me, if you make it to the White House, you'll need each other more than ever."
Steve nods, his expression thoughtful. "We appreciate the advice. It's not easy to find that balance."
You squeeze Steve's hand, grateful for his honesty. "We're working on it," you add softly.
He pulls your hand casually into his lap and envelops it in both of his. You can't help but feel a small thrill at the contact, the very normal expression of intimacy that speaks of a more comfortable and normal connection, and you love the way his large hands hold yours. This feels like something that could be real, on more days than this.
Helen smiles warmly. "That's all anyone can ask. Now, who's ready for some of Matt's famous chili?"
As you move to the dining room, you can't help but feel a mix of emotions. The Santos' warmth and wisdom have touched something deep within you, reminding you of the very real human element at the heart of this political whirlwind.
Over dinner, the conversation flows easily, touching on everything from campaign strategies to favorite books. You find yourself relaxing, laughing at Matt's stories from his time in office and Helen's witty comebacks.
As the evening winds down, Helen pulls you aside while the men are engrossed in a discussion about foreign policy.
"Can I give you some advice?" Helen asks softly, her eyes kind but serious.
You nod eagerly, grateful to glean even more guidance from someone who's walked this path before.
Helen takes a deep breath. "The hardest part of being First Lady isn't the public scrutiny or the demanding schedule. It's maintaining your sense of self in the midst of it all. Don't lose yourself in the role, in the campaign, or even in your marriage. Remember who you are and what you bring to the table."
You feel a lump form in your throat, touched by Helen's words and the understanding behind them. "Thank you," you manage to say. "I... I'm trying to find that balance."
Helen smiles warmly. "I can see that. And from what I've observed, you're doing a remarkable job. But it's a constant effort, believe me."
You nod, absorbing her words. "How did you do it? Maintain your identity while supporting him and taking on such a public role?"
Helen's eyes grow distant for a moment, as if recalling a memory. "It was hard," she admits. "There were times I felt lost, like I was just an extension of Matt's presidency rather than my own person. I learned to carve out spaces for myself - my own initiatives, my own passions. And most importantly, I made sure Matt and I had time just for us, away from the politics and the pressures."
You feel a pang in your chest at her words. You and Steve barely have time alone, let alone time to just be yourselves without the weight of the campaign.
Helen smiles warmly. "This journey you're on - whether or not he gets elected - it's meant to be shared."
You nod, feeling a mix of gratitude and uncertainty. "Sometimes I feel like I'm still getting to know him, even as we're presenting this united front to the world."
Helen's expression softens with understanding. "That's not uncommon, especially given your unique circumstances. But I see the way he looks at you when you're not watching. There's admiration there, and something deeper. A lot of people in this country get married, but not every married couple has that for each other, and even some of the ones who do don’t realize the treasure they have. Don't be afraid to explore it. Grow it together."
Your heart skips a beat at her words. Could she be right? You think back to the conversation you overheard back in that hotel conference room in Cleveland, Steve's hesitation, his fear of letting you in. But also his words of praise, the gentle touches that have become more frequent lately. Could there be more there than just a political partnership?
Before you can respond, the men rejoin you, Steve taking his place beside you, and his hand comes to rest gently on your lower back. "Ready to head out?" he asks softly. "We've got an early start tomorrow."
You nod, and the four of you initiate your goodbyes.
“Thank you," you say, turning back to Helen, hoping she understands the depth of your gratitude. "For everything."
She pulls you into a warm hug. "Any time," she says. "And I mean that. Call me if you ever need to talk, about anything."
You and Steve finish your goodbyes and make your way to the waiting car. The evening has given you much to think about, not just about the campaign, but about your relationship with Steve.
The car ride back to the hotel is quiet, both of you lost in your own thoughts, but you realize it’s a comfortable silence.
Arriving at that night’s hotel, the silence lingers all the way until you enter the elevator, Steve turns to you, his expression thoughtful. "That was enlightening," he says softly.
You nod, feeling a mix of emotions - gratitude for the Santos' wisdom, hope for what could be, and a lingering uncertainty about where you and Steve stand. "They're incredible people," you reply. "So generous with their time and wisdom."
Steve hums in agreement. The elevator doors open, and you two head down the hallway to your suites, right across the hall from each other.
Normally, this is where you'd say goodnight and go your separate ways - Steve to his room, you to yours. But you hesitate, because tonight feels different.
"Helen gave me some really good advice," you say.
Steve looks at you intently, his blue eyes searching yours. "Oh? What about?"
"About maintaining my sense of self through all of this. And... about us."
"What did she say about us?" Steve asks.
You hesitate, suddenly feeling vulnerable. "She said... she sees the strong connection between us, and that we shouldn't lose sight of it in the chaos of the campaign."
Steve's expression softens, a mix of surprise and something else you can't quite read. He takes a step closer to you, close enough that you can feel the warmth radiating from his body.
"And what do you think?" he asks, his voice low and gentle.
Your heart races as you look up at him. "Steve, I..." you begin, but the words catch in your throat.
He reaches out, gently tucking your hair behind your ear. The touch sends a shiver down your spine. "I know," he says softly. "I've been... distant. Guarded. And I'm sorry for that."
The truth is, you know you’ve been guarded, too. And you’re not sure you’re ready to risk anything with exploring more. Not only do you both need to be focused for the campaign, but you locked your heart in a box, and you don’t know if opening it will be a mess that you can face right now.
But you do think there’s a possibility you could have more connection without risking messy feelings.
So you ask, “We’re building a good partnership in this, aren’t we?”
"We are," Steve agrees, his voice warm. "You've been incredible through all of this. I meant what I told the Santos’s - I couldn't ask for a better partner."
You feel a flutter in your chest at his words, but you push it aside. "I was thinking," you say carefully, "maybe we could try to spend a little more time together. Not more campaign events or strategy meetings, but... just us. Getting to know each other better."
Steve's expression softens, a small smile tugging at the corners of his mouth. "I'd like that," he says quietly. "I think we could both use a friend who’s also in the eye of the storm of all of this."
You nod, feeling a mix of relief and nervous anticipation. He has Sam and Bucky on this campaign trail with him, but their roles are not the same, not giving speeches or being asked for comments.
"Maybe we could start with a meal a day? Just the two of us, no campaign staff or memos or prep."
"It's a date," Steve says. Then quickly adds, "I mean, not a date-date, but... you know what I mean."
You can't help but give a small laugh at Steve's flustered correction. It's endearing to see this side of him - the man behind the polished candidate facade.
"I know what you mean," you assure him with a warm smile.
Steve nods, looking relieved. "Good. That's... good." He pauses for a moment, then adds, "How about breakfast tomorrow? We have that early flight, but we could grab something quick before we head to the airport."
"Sounds perfect," you agree. "I'll meet you in the lobby at 6?"
"It's a plan," Steve says, his smile reaching his eyes in a way that makes your heart skip a beat.
You both linger for a moment, neither seeming eager to end the conversation. His eyes are so blue, and when you're this close, and he just looks at you like that, your chest tightens in a pleasantly uncomfortable way that you're not ready for but can't pull away from.
Thankfully, Steve clears his throat. "Well, I guess we should get some sleep," he says, taking a step back. "Big day again tomorrow."
You nod, feeling a mix of disappointment and anticipation. "Always. Goodnight, Steve."
"Goodnight," he replies softly.
You unlock your hotel room door and step inside, your mind racing with thoughts of the evening - the Santos' advice, your conversation with Steve, and the promise of breakfast tomorrow. As you get ready for bed, you can't help but feel a glimmer of hope for what's to come, both for the campaign and for your relationship with Steve.

SURPRISE CAMEO FROM THE WEST WING! If you're not a fan of the show, I didn't think it would be a problem - they're just a former Presidential couple. But if you ARE, then I hope you liked seeing them! I'm deep into my every-few-years (every four) rewatch and haven't bumped into them yet, but I'm about to...

Dylan M Test, Illinois inmate Y64675, born 2003, incarceration intake August 2024 at age 20, scheduled for release June 2039
Attempted Murder
In April 2024, one of two men charged in a September 2023 stabbing in a parking lot at a hospital pled guilty.
Dylan Test waived his right to a jury trial earlier.
Assistant State’s Attorney Josh Jones told the Court that a negotiated plea had been reached. Test agreed to enter a guilty plea to attempted murder, a Class X felony that typically would have a sentencing range of six to 30 years. However, Test’s sentence will be capped at 20 years. Charges of armed violence, a Class X felony, and aggravated battery, a Class 3 felony, would be dismissed as part of the negotiation.
Test was sentenced to 18 years incarceration.

For You Masterlist | Main Masterlist
Sunday, September 20, 2015
“I’ve got one more for you,” Marta hovered outside the patient room, a file folder in her hands.
You groaned.
“Another one?” You asked. “Shouldn’t we be done for the day by now? Shouldn’t we have been done for the day an hour ago?”
“I’m not any happier about this than you are,” she replied. “I’m the one who’s been pulling double duty all day because Andrew’s out…”
“And I’m the one who’s had twice the patient load because the entire QZ has the flu,” you sighed before you pinched the bridge of your nose. This wasn’t helping either of you. “Alright, just… Please tell me this is the last one.”
“Last one,” she said. “Doors are locked.”
“Speakeasy after this?” You asked, opening the folder.
“I would but Brian and I are going to a friend’s place tonight,” she smiled, almost sheepishly. “Sorry.”
“It’s alright,” you sighed. “I just need to get a life….” You glanced down at the intake notes. Just stitches and antibiotics, on order from FEDRA. “This looks basic, why don’t you head on out. I can finish up here.”
“Really?” She asked. You just nodded and she squealed a little. “Thank you so much!”
You tried to not be jealous of the fact that she had a life to go home to. In all reality, you shouldn’t be upset about staying late at work. It’s not like you had anything else going on. Once Tommy left the QZ and Andrew and Jess started spending more time just the two of them while she was down for the count because of her pregnancy, you pretty much spent your time not at work at home, doing a lot of nothing.
“I need a hobby,” you muttered to yourself before making your way down to the exam room where your last patient was waiting for you.
You knocked once on the door and gave the patient a moment to answer before you opened it, reviewing the intake notes as you did.
“Hi there,” you said, looking up from the file. “I’m….”
Your voice trailed off. Joel was sitting there, perched on the end of the exam table, his eyes ranging over you.
“Don’t think you need to introduce yourself, Kid,” he said, giving you a wry half smile.
You looked back at the file. In the name field was just J.M. - FEDRA. You frowned and looked back at him.
“FEDRA sent you in?” You set the file down on the counter before going to wash your hands. “Why, did you pick a fight with a guard?”
“No,” he quirked his jaw. “Just some equipment on sewer duty.”
“Lucky you,” you said, pulling your chair up beside the table. You sat down, closer to him than you’d been since you’d been almost blown up before Tommy left the QZ. “Well, I’m sure you’d rather see anybody else but I’m afraid there’s something going around and I’m the only doctor who’s here right now. Since you’re here on FEDRA orders, I can’t really let you leave and come back another time…”
“S’fine,” he cut you off. “It’s not… I don’t mind. That it’s you, I mean.”
“Oh,” you said, a little taken aback. You tried to hide it as you pulled on your gloves. “Well that’s… good. Why don’t take off your shirt, looks like the injury is on your stomach?”
“Yeah,” he said, unbuttoning his top. “They put a bandage on me there but said I’d need stitches and shit to keep it from gettin’ infected.”
“Yeah, I feel like dying from an infection that doesn’t turn people into monsters in this day and age is a bit of a raw deal.”
Joel snorted and shrugged out of the shirt. You saw a bandage, stained with blood, near his belly button. You winced a little, even though you’d seen so much of Joel’s blood at this point you thought you should be used to it. But it never got any easier, knowing he was putting himself at risk, knowing he was in pain.
Blood was a good distraction, though, when you thought about it. Joel without his shirt had always been a weak spot for you. Blood was one way to keep you from focusing on things you shouldn’t. Like the fact that his chest was broad and firm and you knew just what it would be to rest your head against him there and listen to the steady thrum of his heart as you fell asleep.
“I’m going to remove the bandage, OK?” You said, looking up at him through your eyelashes. You watched the bob of his Adam’s apple as he swallowed. He just gave you a single nod and you pulled down the bundle of gauze and tape to expose a jagged cut that dipped into the muscle of his abdomen. You hissed a little in sympathetic pain. “What’d you do, Joel?”
“Had to jump to dodge an out of control truck,” he said. “Ended up landin’ on something sharp. Hurt like a bitch but… had worse.”
“Had worse is a damn low bar for you,” you said, gingerly examining the wound. “Good news is, this is even cleaner than I expected. Actually, you’re cleaner than I expected, you don’t smell like you were on sewer duty.”
“Yeah, well, figured patchin’ me up wouldn’t do much if I was covered in shit,” he said, voice beaten down by the misery that was QZ life. It was a tone you knew well. “Showered before I came.”
You nodded slowly.
“I’ll numb you up and get this all closed,” you said, sitting back from him. “Go ahead and lie back for me while I get set up.”
You gathered what you needed and came back to find Joel flat on the table, his hands folded over the base of his chest. The cracked face of the watch glinted in the florescent light and you tried not to think about how his arms looked bare. You hadn’t seen his arms bare in so long.
You cleared your throat and pulled the chair back up alongside him and changed gloves.
“Small poke,” you said as you injected the local anesthetic. He grunted but stayed still. You gave it a few minutes to kick in before you gently prodded the wound. “Feel that?”
“No,” he said.
You nodded and set to work, flushing out the wound and aligning his damaged skin to stitch it closed.
“So,” you said after the silence was heavy in the room. “How’ve you been since Tommy left?”
His body tensed a little.
“Fine,” he said gruffly. “Just a bit quiet around the apartment.”
You nodded slowly, focusing on your stitching.
“I hope you’re not just sitting in there all alone,” you said, half teasing half serious. “Even you need social contact now and then.”
“M’fine.”
There was something in his tone that made you feel like he was not, in fact, fine. As much as you tried to forget, you carried so much of the intimacies of Joel Miller within you. How he looked when his face was relaxed in sleep, how he felt when he held you like you were the only thing he had left in the world, how he sounded when he was in pain. He sounded that way now.
“Are you?” You asked, lifting your eyes from his stomach to look up his body to his face. His head was raised just enough to look back at you.
“Not your damn business what I am or what I’m not,” he snapped, lowering his head back to the exam table. “Leave it.”
“I’m just…” you paused as you finished the last stitch. “I worry about you sometimes is all. I know you don’t have a lot of people, Joel, and…”
“I’m not your fuckin’ problem,” he bit out, sitting up so fast that you shocked back from him. “I don’t need you pokin’ around my life and fuckin’ it up anymore than you already have so just leave it, alright!”
“Alright,” you said quietly, tears pinching at the back of your throat.
“You done sewin’ me shut?” He snapped. You nodded, still trying to resist the urge to cry. “Good.”
He snatched his shirt up and stalked out of the room, not even stopping to put it on.
You took a deep, shaky breath, staring at the place where Joel had just been. You tried not to think about how, for just a few minutes, there had been a quiet intimacy there like there had been with him before. How he felt comfortable and safe beside you, where you could run your fingers over his skin and see where his hair was starting to gray.
You gave yourself a few minutes to calm down before you started cleaning up, trying to focus on getting home so you could curl up in a ball in your bed where you were warm and safe, even if you were alone. You were starting to clear the tray of tools when you realized the syringe of penicillin was still there, shiny and full.
You’d never given him the antibiotics.
“Shit,” you muttered, voice wet.
You set it aside and finished cleaning up before grabbing a bottle of pain killers and an oral course of antibiotics and setting out to Joel’s place.
He answered quickly, all but ripping the door open and looking surprised to find you there when he did.
“What do you want,” he snapped.
“You still need antibiotics,” you said quietly, fighting to not flinch back from him. You held up the small bag with the syringe, bandages and pills inside. “You left before I could give them to you.”
He quirked his jaw but stepped aside, opening the door wide enough for you to come in. You set the bag down on the table and started taking off your coat.
“Didn’t say you could fuckin’ stay,” Joel said, voice still sharp.
“I figured you’d want me having full range of motion with my arms when I’m sticking you with a needle,” you said harshly before closing your eyes for a moment, forcing yourself to calm down. “I need to get at the wound again so… shirt off.”
He ground his teeth but obeyed, pulling the shirt off. You sat down at the table and got the syringe ready and he stood beside you there and you had the strangest urge to kiss his stomach. You pressed your lips together instead.
“If you didn’t run off this would probably hurt less,” you said. “But the anesthetic might be wearing off already so… small pinch.”
You pressed the syringe into his skin and pushed down on the plunger. He flinched once and that was it.
“Just going to bandage you up,” you said, not waiting for a response.
“Why’d you come here,” Joel asked as you taped the bandage over his damaged skin. You looked up at him, frowning. His eyes were on yours, deep and warm and chocolate brown.
“You needed…”
“Don’t give me that,” he cut you off. “You could have fuckin’ left it, told you enough times that I don’t want shit to do with you now so why are you really here? Not like FEDRA was gonna come and check and make sure I was on their ordered drugs so what is it?”
“Do you really think I’d just let something happen to you?” You asked quietly. “You might not care if I live or die anymore but I care about you. I’m always going to care about you.”
You didn’t wait for.a response. You looked back to his stomach and finished taping the bandage in place before taking the pills out and setting them on table before getting up and pulling your jacket back on.
“Instructions are on the bottles,” you said. “Take all the antibiotics, every last one, I don’t care if you’re feeling well and your cut is magically healed, still take them. Change out the bandages every 24 hours for the first few days, come by the clinic if there’s a lot of blood or discomfort. Pain medication as needed. I’m sure you’ll just sell whatever’s left…”
You grabbed the now empty bag off the table and turned to go to the door but Joel’s hand closed around your wrist, pulling you back around. You frowned, looking at where he was touching you before looking back to him.
“Joel…”
“You really think I don’t care about you?” He asked, voice heated. “You really think I don’t give a shit? Hm?”
You shrank back from him as much as you could while he held you in place, his grip on you tight.
“Joel…” you said again but he cut you off.
“You think I don’t care if you live or die?” It took you a moment to realize that he didn’t sound angry. He sounded… hurt? Offended? Both? “Jesus…”
“You’re hurting me, Joel.”
He scowled but dropped your wrist.
“After everything I’ve done,” he snapped. “After everything we’ve been through, you think I don’t fuckin’ care?”
“Why would I think you care?” You tried to sound mad but you just sounded hurt, your voice quivering. “All you’ve done for years now is tell me how I hurt you, how you wish you’d never met me, how you don’t want to see me again! Even when you’ve done something that you say is for me or because of me you act like your obligated to me in some way but you’re not and I wish you’d just leave me alone! I can’t keep doing this with you, I’m so tired of being your burden, Joel!”
You tried to turn to go but his hands were on you again but on your shoulders this time, his fingers digging into your flesh there. His eyes searched yours for half a moment before he pulled you sharply to him, his hands flying from your shoulders to your face to tilt your head to just the right angle, gripping you tight and desperate, before his lips crashed into your own.
It took you a second to fully understand what was happening but your body responded before your mind. It might have been years since you last kissed Joel but your lips knew his. They conformed to his like the familiar ground they were, giving to the hot press of him as he licked into your mouth.
You moaned and wrapped your arms around his waist, forgetting, for a moment, that he was injured. He hissed in pain and you tried to pull back but his grip on you grew tighter, fingertips pressing into your skull. Your body curved against his and you were suddenly acutely aware that he was shirtless, that you could feel his skin on yours if you could just take your own shirt off, too.
His hold on you eventually loosened and he pulled back from you, the brown of his iris almost entirely swallowed by his pupil now as he panted for breath. His thumbs traced the arch of your cheekbones.
“I care,” he said, voice hungry and low. “I care more about you than about any other person left on this godforsaken planet…”
“Joel…” you were breathless, heat and tension pooling at your core.
“And I’m tired of tryin’ to stay away from you.”
He pulled you back against him, gently that time. His lips were soft on yours, his tongue tracing the seam of you until you opened for him. You could properly taste him now, the mint of his toothpaste and the bitter tang of liquor and the familiar flavor of his skin. You drank it up, needing it like water. His hands left your face, sliding down your body to your waist. He pulled at your shirt, separating from you just enough to pull it up and over your head, taking a moment to look down at your body, an expression of almost reverence on his face as he panted for breath.
Joel tugged you toward him again, his mouth quickly finding yours, as he unhooked your bra. He slid that off your body, too, and cradled you to him.
You moaned into his mouth, you couldn’t help it, as your arms went around his neck. His skin was everywhere, so soft and so warm and just like you remembered. He felt so good against you, like home, and the ache of missing him flared to life inside your chest, sharp and cruel.
Part of you knew you should put a stop to this now, before it went any further. He was only going to push you away again, just like he had after Boston. It was only going to hollow you out and leave you feeling more desperately alone than ever.
But you couldn’t resist him. You’d missed him too much over the years, he was too much a part of you to ever dream of pushing him away. You needed this. You needed him.
You let him guide you toward the couch, his fingers prying at the button of your jeans before pushing those and your underwear down your body, too. You stepped out of them and your shoes together before Joel gently lowered you, completely bared to him, to the rough, aging fabric of the couch. You watched as he stood over you, your eyes wide, as he opened his own pants, freeing his cock and swiping his thumb over his leaking tip before stroking himself in long, slow strokes.
“Tell me you want this,” his voice trembled. “We can stop right now…”
“I need you,” you cut him off with a needy whisper. “Please.”
He didn’t need any more prompting. He shoved his pants and underwear down before he nudged your legs apart and settled between them. He gripped the root of his thick, heavy cock and trailed his tip over your leaking slit, moaning as he did.
“Missed this wet little pussy,” he notched his head at your entrance before thrusting halfway inside you with a short, sharp stroke. You gasped at the stretch of him, your back arching and fingers scrambling at the tattered upholstery. “Fuck, still so fuckin’ tight. Gotta be fuckin’ dripping for me or I’d never get inside you…”
He pulled back just a little, his thumb finding your clit and pressing into you there, working you in a slow circle. He thrust back into you, a little further this time.
“You get this soft and hot and wet for anyone else?” He asked, a possessive edge to his voice as his eyes ranged over your naked body. “Or you save that just for me?”
“Just for you,” you didn’t care that you sounded desperate and pathetic. You just needed him inside of you, filling you totally. “It’s all for you, I’ve always been all for you.”
“You all mine, Baby?” He asked, pulling back and thrusting deeper. “This little pussy all mine?”
“Yes,” you rocked your hips up against him but he pressed down on you, holding you in place and making you whimper. “Fuck, please…”
“How about the rest of you?” He asked, his hand leaving your clit as he lowered himself onto you. His skin was on yours, the plush swell of his stomach against you, his chest tight to your own. His hand came up to brush your hair back and cradle the crown of your head, his thumb tracing over you there. His eyes searched yours and, for the first time in years, you saw the Joel you’d fallen in love with so long ago. The quiet strength of him, the gentle care, the fierce love, the raw and aching whole of him there with nothing holding him back. “Want all of you, want that so much more than your perfect fuckin’ pussy…”
“Joel…”
“Say you’re mine,” he thrust deeper and you keened at the feel of him inside you, so close to having all of him within you where you’d known he belonged from the first time you’d taken him into yourself. “Tell me I’m not gonna lose you.”
“You’re not going to lose me,” you breathed. “I promise, you can’t lose me.”
He pulled back a little and you whimpered at the loss.
“Say you’ll let me protect you,” he thrust in, almost to the root this time, and held himself there. Your channel tightened around him.
“Joel,” you were having a hard time remembering how to say anything but his name, that single word the most vital one you’d ever known. “Please…”
“Tell me,” he ground himself against you, his skin on your clit, his cock pressing into your most sensitive places. “Let me take care of you, protect you. Say it.”
“You can protect me,” your hands found their way to his shoulders, nails digging into his skin there. “You can take care of me, I promise…”
“Let me love you,” he pulled back again but it was his words and not how he was moving inside you that made you gasp. “Say it. Tell me I can love you, that it’s safe to love you.”
You reached up and gently traced his hairline before threading your fingers through his curls, your eyes on his.
“I haven’t been the one stopping you from loving me,” you whispered.
“I never stopped,” he rocked himself part way into you again before pulling back. “Always loved you, always. But I need it to be safe, I can’t love you without it destroyin’ me if it’s not. Please, baby. Tell me. Tell me I can love you.”
“You can love me, Joel,” you said softly. “It’s safe. I’m safe.”
He kissed you, his mouth claiming yours and he pressed all the way inside you then, making your back arch and legs go tight around his hips. You moaned against his lips as he held himself deep within you for a moment before pulling back again.
It might have been years but your body knew Joel’s. You knew just how to take him and he knew just how to make you come, his hips grinding down into you when he was fully seated inside of your tight channel, making his cock tease your most tender places while his hips worked your clit. He fucked you deep and hard and greedy, like he couldn’t get enough of you, like he wanted to lay claim to all of you.
The tight band of pleasure inside of you wound tighter and tighter until it snapped when he was pressed deep, your walls fluttering over him. He moaned against your lips and fucked you through it, never slowing, never letting up, making it so your orgasm never really subsided. It just rolled into building the next one until he pulled his desperate and needy mouth from yours.
“Not gonna last, Baby,” he ground himself deeper, as if to make his point. “Where -”
“Inside me,” you panted. “I need to feel you, please don’t leave, please, inside me, please…”
He kissed you again, fucking you a little harder and faster, driving the band of pleasure tighter and higher until you felt him press deep and pulse inside you, triggering your next orgasm.
You came with him, your pussy rippling over him as he throbbed, emptying himself into you.
His body went slack for a moment before he propped himself up on his elbows, his eyes returning to their normal color. They looked over your face for a moment before locking onto your own and you had a moment of fear that the walls would go up again. That the cold, disconnected Joel who had taken over since he’d come to the QZ would be back. But his eyes stayed soft and open and warm, his large palm still cradling the top of your head.
“Tell me you meant all that,” you whispered even though you were afraid of what the answer was.
“Oh, Baby.” He leaned forward and pressed his lips to your forehead before trailing his nose over your own. “I meant every word. I promise.”
You smiled, looking into Joel’s eyes and realizing that, even though you were still stuck inside the QZ, you were right where you belonged.

You groan, hands trying to hold onto the burning cement underneath you. It's a waking call the moment your nails— usually short, now quite long and sturdy— grind against the floor and you shiver. It feels like you've been hit with a basketball.
"Uh," a voice takes you out of your misery. Not really, but it serves as a distraction. "Is everything okay?"
Before your eyes, you can see a face you hadn't seen in months. He looks younger, like there's less weight on his shoulders.
Park Wonbin looks great. Only, he's staring at you like he's worried you might break, which means you probably don't look as good.
You nod, a little dumbfounded. Last time you heard from Wonbin, he had gone back to his dark hair and was teaching a dance class all the way in LA. You were proud of him for following his dreams; despite four years of university, he became a professional dancer with ease.
Still, you have missed him, so you let him help you up.
"Thank you," You rub your eyes, taking in your surroundings. It's sunny, and the campus you had left behind a few months ago stands tall before you. You blink as confusion sweeps through your body and takes hold of you. "What the hell..."
Wonbin, always a worrier, leans toward you. "Is something wrong? Does something hurt? I can get someone from health—"
"No! No, it's fine," you reply. "Thank you, anyway. I think I just hit my head, maybe."
"What? Then I definitely need to get someone from health," he rambles. "Wait here!"
He turns, ready to head over to wherever health is. Something paints itself inside your head: your freshman year orientation week, and the moment Sungchan introduced you to your boyfriend and his roommate. The way that simple moment turned your life around.
Nothing makes sense, and if you squint a little, you're almost sure you can see Intak in the distance.
"I'm okay! I swear," you call, but he doesn't stop. "Park Wonbin!"
That gets him. He stops, tilts his head before turning around. As he walks closer, his phone lights up on his hand, and the date screams at you. Red lights.
It makes no sense.
"How do you know my name?" Wonbin asks. Your mind is stuck on the date, though. "Oh my God, are you a stalker or something?"
"What? No!"
"Then how..." he trails off, like he's suddenly realized something. "You're Shotaro's sister! Oh, does he talk about me? Is that why you know me? I remember we ran into each other last year, when you were visiting! I panicked for a second."
You mumble, hoping he won't hear: "How do you talk so much, seriously..."
"So, what does he say?"
Your phone starts ringing in your pocket, a song you've always had for your brother as a ringtone. You grab the device, surprised at the way it feels so unnatural in your hand. It's been a while since you've held this model. With a grimace, you show the caller to Wonbin.
SHOTARO 🦇🌟, it reads. Wonbin smiles and lets you walk a few steps away.
"Hello?"
"Yah, your boyfriend is bothering me," Shotaro says as a greeting. You frown.
"What?"
"Dongmin is following me around, asking where you are."
In the background, you can hear a boy go: "My name is Taesan!"
Taesan, it sinks. Oh my God, Taesan. He switched universities before your third year, and you haven't heard from him since. His voice makes a knot appear in your throat.
"I'll be there in a second," you manage to say. "Tell him I miss him."
Shotaro fake gags. "I am not doing all that."
You laugh, but don't force him. Shotaro hangs up, and when you look at the phone, the same date from Wonbin's screen stares back at you: September 2024. You feel dizzy, but you don't let yourself process it. Instead, you go back to Wonbin and grab your backpack from the floor.
"My friends are looking for me," you let him know. "Thank you for helping, really."
He smiles. "My pleasure! Anything for Shotaro's little sister."
With a slight bow, you hurry towards the place of meeting you had assembled with your friends during the first week of university. It stood in place until your graduation. They're there, speaking to each other. Intak is coming from the other side, throwing an arm around Gyuvin and smiling big at his friends he left behind for a second.
They look well. Taesan looks well.
You start running.
"Taesan!" You call, your eyes filling with tears. You don't know if it's happiness or melancholy. Still, the moment he turns around, you throw yourself into his unprepared arms and send both of you to the floor.

By now, you're sure this is a very elaborate dream. Shotaro's still living in that old dorm building with Sungchan and Eunseok, and you can smell the food the moment you go inside. Eunseok is half sitting, half laying on the couch, watching old reruns of Running Man on the TV.
"YN!" Sungchan calls from the kitchen. It's an open floorplan, so you've got a great view of him wearing a KISS THE CHEF apron over his pajamas. The smile takes over on its own. "My mom dropped us food, and she made your favorite. I'm convinced she thinks your birthday is every month."
"She just likes me," you reply. "Maybe more than she likes you?"
Sungchan frowns, swinging the wooden spoon he's using to stir the food, and Shotaro moves you out of the way before sauce can get on you.
"Don't be a child, Chan."
"She started!"
You giggle. It feels so real, way too real. You let yourself sink into the dream as Shotaro guides you to the couch, settling against the armrest and letting you sit beside Eunseok, who pulls you closer to him. You have to fight the laugh as you catch the glare your brother sends his way.
"What do you wanna watch?" Eunseok asks, letting you get comfortable against him. "You're clingy, Jesus."
"You hugged me first," you retort. "Can we watch Interstellar?"
Your boyfriend's favorite movie is leaving your lips before you even realize. Shotaro shoves you a little, further into Eunseok's arms.
"You hate that movie," he says.
It's sort of true. You don't hate it— never did— but... it was never your taste until your boyfriend forced you to watch it almost every weekend. Then, it became something that wasn't about the movie but rather about him. If this is a dream, you'll let yourself really sink into pleasure.
Eunseok puts on the movie, and you silently watch the beginning with slightly teary eyes. At some point, Sungchan brings food to the living room table and you all sit around it, chewing on tteokbokki and letting Shotaro feed you samgyeopsal. The atmosphere is warm, cozy.
You feel at home.
"Today I'm the age you were when you left..." the TV is speaking, but it has become static over your ears. You remember the first time you watched this scene with your boyfriend, letting him lean into you as he teared up.
Most of all, you remember giggling at him and calling him baby. For the first time, you called him baby.
"What did you call me?" Anton had said through the tears. His voice was tight, but he was smiling. "Say it again, please."
"I called you your name," you tease.
"No! Say it again, please."
He'd been looking at you like a puppy, overexcited and so happy it ached. You laughed louder. "Okay, baby."
Then, Anton had hugged you so tight you couldn't breathe. "I'm your baby? Yeah, I am. Of course I am."
"God, are you talking to yourself again?"
You blink, standing up too quickly. The three boys that surround you startle, and they just watch as you run into the hallway that leads to their rooms and lock yourself into the first one. You've forgotten which room is whose, but you think this is Sungchan's: it's got the basketball trophies, and the pictures of him and his family.
There's a knock on the door. Shotaro's voice comes through. "YN? Are you okay?"
You don't reply. If this is a dream, you think. It's time to wake up. Closing your eyes tight, you cling to your thighs until it burns. Once I open my eyes, I'll be back in Shotaro's room, and I'll be older than I've ever been. You do: you open your eyes, but you find yourself still in Sungchan's senior year room.
You start panicking. It's hard to tell where the panic came from, but it takes over within seconds. Images of the last time you were awake start flashing by: the hospital, the river. Anton, Anton, Anton. 3:45. You throw your jacket off and on the floor beside you, hearing the way something in your pocket clangs against the wooden planks.
With shaky hands, you sink your hand into the right pocket of your jacket. There, nestled between receipts and a packet of tissues, lays a watch. You take it out.
It's cracked exactly where Anton's watch had been last night, and the metal is scratched in the same places. It reads 3:39, like the world is messing with you. It tells you the watch died before he did.
You let out a sob.
"YN, I'm coming in." Eunseok's voice drags into the room from underneath the door. "Okay? I just need to make sure you're alright."
"Mhm," you hum. It's weak, but you believe he heard, because he comes inside. Carefully, he walks towards your shaking body, and he drops beside you. "Is this a dream?"
"Huh?"
"This? Is it a dream?" You repeat yourself. "It has lasted for so long."
Eunseok looks worried. "This isn't a dream, YN."
You look at the watch, broken exactly how it had been last night. You feel the weight of him leaving your side crash against your shoulders, and you regret ever letting him leave your bed that morning.
"Hey, a kid in our floor has the same one," he points to the watch. Eunseok is clearly trying to distract you from your rising panic. "He said he got it in—"
"— in New York," you finish for him. "He got it in New York, yeah?"
Eunseok makes a noise of agreement. "Do you know him? His name is Lee Chanyoung, but he goes by Anton."
"Seok," you whisper. He hums, and you pinch your arm before saying the next sentence. It hurts. "I think I'm in the past."

달토끼 (literally MOON RABBIT, officially THE RABBIT ON THE MOON) is the first full album by FABLE YUHAENG, a subunit of fictional boy group FABLE. Released on September 23, 2024, it is the first of Fable's vaguely seasonal albums to be released on time with the corresponding holiday. Like the majority of their recent releases, most of the album's production was done by ANDREW. Unlike the majority of their recent releases, half the songs are trot songs.
The album's title track, 찐이야 (JJINIYA), was promoted for three weeks and received one music show win, much to everyone's surprise. The second half of the album contained solo tracks by each of the four members who made up the subunit: KIYOUNG, ANDREW, HAKSU, and BYEONGHWI. Haksu's solo song, PEACHES, was also a nominee for a possible music show win, in an even more surprising move.
TRACK LIST
001. 찐이야 (JJINIYA)
002. Weekend
003. 오늘 걷기엔 딱 좋겠다 (A Good Day to Walk)
004. 옆집오빠 (Boy Next Door)
005. 칼틔근 (Leave Work on Time) - Kiyoung
006. SPEAK OF THE DEVIL - Yejun
007. Peaches - Haksu
008. Do or Die - Byeonghwi

ERA NOTES
Not a single yapper in this lineup. Which means any and all questions about why Mingeun and Intak weren't there and why this couldn't have been a full group comeback went unanswered. New kpop unsolved mystery just dropped.
At the album's showcase, Andrew made a vague, unscripted comment about something never happening again. Fans took this to mean the subunit, and their sales skyrocketed on the third and fourth days after release.
They hung up the hanboks for once. A few people cheered. The styling themes were "campus crush" and "bringing your boyfriend home for Chuseok to meet your parents for the first time."
The line distribution was still uneven, despite there only being four of them. It's Haksu's world, and the rest of us are just living in it.
They all made major contributions to the "best of fable live vocals" compilations. Haksu always has to sing over the backing track, so he was obnoxious as usual. The choreography was fairly simple and they did every performance with hand-held microphones. They're singers who sing!!
Each album came with half a deck of Fable-themed hwatu cards. Fans had to buy both versions of the album to complete the deck. They hosted a few events where they played Go-Stop with fans under the watchful eye of a metric fuckton of staff.
There was absolutely no mercy. Kiyoung was very good at the game and caused a few fans to leave the cafe in tears. He later apologized via social media. Haksu was extremely competitive, though he tried to tone it down. Andrew was extremely competitive, and he made no effort to hide it. Byeonghwi was the most casual player, and therefore the most popular.
Overall one of their more positive eras, despite the promoting Japanese culture controversy and the promoting gambling controversy.
