Slowly figuring out all the ways to design 3D things and this week’s project is working with TPU to make tiny unicorn horn knitting needle stoppers ☺️. The flexible material means it fits sizes 3-11, and 11 is just the biggest size I have so I think it may fit more? Also I sculpted these in SelfCAD! Pretty proud of that lol

SelfCAD Best AppSumo deal [$49] Complex 3D design made easy!
SelfCAD Best AppSumo deal [$49] Complex 3D design made easy!
3D modeling doesn’t have to be an exercise in trying to mold Silly Putty into a masterpiece. (* after five hours* “It’s a catastrophe. I’m a disaster. Everything is in chaos.”) Learning to draw, sketch, sculpt, and render a 3D masterpiece can take years—and a lot of money—if you don’t have the proper software. If only a single 3D modeling tool allowed you to transform a basic drawing into a…

Browser-based SelfCAD Adds Load of New Features, New Pricing for Education
Browser-based SelfCAD Adds Load of New Features, New Pricing for Education
SelfCAD has been bustin’ solid modeling moves for a few years now, adding feature after feature to their browser-based 3D modeling app. They’ve grown from a basic 3D shape modeler to including features that would make other CAD software sit up and peek over their shades.
Mmm-hmmm.Version 3.0 is in the works but their latest 2.9.1 update has a bevy of updates you’re likely to find useful…

Hi! Have you any tips/tutorial for texturing ? I’m learning blender but I feel like I’m a dumbass at texturing 💀
Hello!! I'm sorry for the late reply. Regarding making textures and models, don't be hard on yourself ✿ I also had difficulties when I first started. I'm still in the learning phase too, trying to improve myself every day. These are things that can definitely improve with time and practice.
There is no single method or program for making textures. It really depends on what kind of model you want to make. You have to find the way that works best for you. Some like to use ready-made and realistic textures. Some do everything handpainted. Some do it more cartoonishly and unrealistic. There are a lot of tools for texturing. Substance Painter, ZBrush, Blender, GIMP, SelfCad, 3D-Coat, etc.
After many trials, I found the most optimal method for myself. I bake ambient occlusion in Blender and transfer this to image editing software. Later I add all the details(colors, handpainted shapes, patterns...), make all the adjustments, and use this texture on the model as a material. Since I make maxis-match items, I try to use shadows and highlights suitable for that style. I draw facial expressions and some shapes myself by looking at the references. I think it's the little details that really make the difference. It seems like nothing changes while doing details at first, but gets much better as it progresses. Trust the process!!🌟and just like in drawing, the more you practice, the more your hand gets used to it and the faster you get.
I apologize if my post is long. There is a lot to talk about when it comes to 3D modeling and its branches. I hope I was able to help a little bit. Thank you so much for the ask!!☆ I wish you a creative and fantastic journey in texturing✨
