Baby photos lol!

Yeah Crestina was ecstatic when she learned that Starlo was dating Pancake. She hoped that Starlo would get a partner, though was a little hesitant with Pancake. Their history is a bit...messy. But somehow they worked it out, and Crestina's just happy.

So obviously that means she gets to do all the things she wants with a hopeful in-law; like sharing baby photos. Starlo came running in from another room when he heard. Pancake compensated by sharing her own kid photos she had saved on her phone. Turns out they were both nerds growing up, pfft!

I was hoping to draw something with Solomon and Orion, make it an in-law series. I still might. I just have a lotta doodles and none fit this fjsjsjs. Enjoy the SILLIES!!

Favorite thing about the other? (Idia about Iris) She's good at being the center of attention even though she's so quiet most of the time. (Iris about Idia) His sharp teeth flashing when he grins while doing something he likes.

Hopes about relationship: They don't have much. They just find comfort in each other day by day. Iris has considered moving to the Island of Woe if she can't go back to her home and live a quiet life with Idia.

Shared vices: Reluctance to engage with others. Shitty sleep schedule/ tendency to neglect their health. Using their interests to distract themselves from unwanted emotions.

Least favorite thing about the other? (Idia about Iris) when she's fine with something when she clearly shouldn't be. (Iris about Idia) his ego showing up sometimes, it can be annoying.

Fears about relationship: Idia is worried that she'll return to her home. He knows it's selfish to wish she'd stay here so he keeps it a secret. As much as Iris is fed up with NRC she doesn't want to leave Twisted Wonderland. She's too attached to the students there including Idia, Ortho, and Grim, but she won't admit that.

Biggest disagreement? They both get upset with each other for not taking care of themselves...

Favorite activity together? (Both) Voicecalls late at night (lris) Watching him work on mechanics, being convinced to try watching anime he recommends. Doesn't matter if she herself likes it or not. (Idia) recommending Iris a variety of his favorite media. At this point he knows her preferences more than she does.

Thoughts on family life? Haven't thought about it a lot. They might make a robot together some point in their lives it they live together after graduation.

Secrets: Idia has full access to Iris’ deactivated art account that she originally created for accepting commissions. He has saved all her art and looks at them occasionally. He deletes any reposted art of hers, mostly because he wants to be the only one who can see them.

It's actually SO much fun trying to imitate the Arcane rendering/painting style?? I mostly eyeballed it for my first try and I think it turned out really good! I still gotta put together an official outfit ref for my s/i but man...I honestly can't stop thinking about them so here's a couple of little sketches as well!! 😭😭 (little lore dump + taglist under the cut!)

They were childhood friends, maybe even sweethearts, but they were definitely close! Unfortunately, my s/i's family fell on some pretty hard times, and she needed to find some kind of work to help support them. Suddenly she didn't have much time for him, and Viktor ended up alone again. They still cared about each other, but they grew apart, and with Viktor eventually moving topside to attend the academy she was left behind.

I imagine that they meet again just a little bit before Viktor meets Jayce when he's paying a visit to the Undercity and they bump into each other by chance. As an adult, she's running a body alterations shop with her best friend (my irl best friend hehe) where they do tattoos, piercings, even prosthetics! Later in the series, the shop is taken over by Silco but the two of them act as a sort of information hub for the Firelights.

I'm still working on some of the lore, like how she ends up meeting Jayce and Mel too and how they all end up dating but Viktor was the first one she fell for 💖 and a funny story that my mom told me once is actually that when I was a toddler she occasionally babysat a neighborhood boy named Victor!! We played together and bcs I was a baby I couldn't pronounce his name correctly so I called him 'pictor' and kinda bossed him around 😂 needless to say I'm using that in my lore!! I don't know something is just so special to me about childhood friends to lovers and I'm cooked aren't I??

slight tw for mention of an ed!! (i'm in recovery though so hopefully it doesn't trigger anyone...)

me and sei after baking!! i tried to make this as realistic as possible -- not every moment and activity is going to be flowers and unicorns, some hit hard, close to home. i used to bake with my mother before i developed anorexia and now, recreating those moments with sei...it's a breeze of cold air. he was with me at my worst and my mind may not be 100% yet, but i know we will get there someday together. just having his support is enough to get me up from bed everyday. and maybe one day, who knows, miguel might try a cookie. the recipe is sacred, after all.

i hope this wasn't too melancholic...

Jokes aside , I’m honestly pretty happy with how this silly little drawing turned out : JB’s design was a bit difficult to draw in this style , but I think the end result looks okay !
