you asked for soft thoughts *cracks neck* thinking of you comforting sejun during rehearsal dinner because earlier at the venue for rehearsals he (being the clumsy loser he is) got startled by the pastor rounding the corner he pushed him into the water fountain… so now he’s just thinking that he will mess up during tomorrows ceremony, you reassure him that even if he messes up it won’t matter cause you’re marrying the love of your life. all in all, the reception goes without a hitch! it’s at the reception he topples over the cake while trying to cut it 🥹

he literally WOULD need comforting he's so nervous. during rehearsal everything is going okay (he's literally just standing there he can't mess up) and his best man is by his side just noticing how fucking down bad he is and how his hand is shaking. he tries to hide it by clasping his hands tightly but he fails. suddenly his suit feels itchy and like it fits him wrong. he's questioning whether he even looks half decent because how the hell did he end up with someone as gorgeous as you, he can't even compare :(

and on the way to the church hall where the rehearsal dinner will be after you had run through all the actual service stuff, he gets so scared when the pastor tries to friendly wrap his arm around his shoulder to congratulate him 😭😭😭 he apologizes profusely because his survival instincts kicked in or something cause why did he push the poor guy into the fountain in the front 😭😭 sejun is just way too nervous :(

his brain is racing a mile a minute and he needs to get back by your side immediately because you're the only thing that keeps him calm </3. when you're finally eating dinner, he was supposed to be seated across from you, but he forces one of your bridesmaids to switch with him because he needs to be next to you 😭😭😭😭 he'll hold your hand under the table to try to calm himself down :( you think he's so endearing, you can feel his hand shaking and how warm it is <//3 you just know his brain is just thinking through everything. he knows he's gonna cry tomorrow but more than that he's worried he'll trip or stutter over his words or something will go wrong. he probably has to have a pep talk with his mom after rehearsal dinner cause even she can see that he's stressing from across the dining hall

then comes the actual day of the wedding and the only thing keeping sejun sane is his groomsmen making sure he's calm. they're hyping him up and making sure he looks sharp and not a single hair is out of place. he feels confident as he walks up to the chapel but he loses it IMMEDIATELY once he sees all the flowers and decorations because everything becomes so real. he cries even before the service starts. when the music starts playing and its his time to walk down the aisle and wait for you, he's using his 4-7-8 breathing to keep calm and panicking even more cause his heart rate is NOT FUCKING SLOWING DOWN LMAOKSJDKS

but he gets to the alter and all he has to do is stand. he can do that, right? wrong. he cries so much as soon as you start walking down the aisle. seeing you in your dress for the first time is so surreal. he loves you so much you're the most beautiful person he's ever met both inside and out and he thinks the love he holds for you is gonna swallow him whole at any point. during the entire service he's a wreck of nerves and love and everything just feels so REAL and he's so so happy and emotional. his best man has to keep holding a box of tissues the entire time because sejun cries again and again and again throughout the pastor's talking about marriage and love and being forever united. seeing him so emotional gets you emotional too :(

during vows he's the worst. he's crying, laughing, stuttering. all the words get caught in his throat but he manages. his vows are super sweet and heartfelt, so so endearing just like him :( all the guests find it so funny how he's the more emotional one on the day since the bride is usually the one to feel overwhelmed for her big day, but sejun just can't help it. he's yours for the rest of his life and the thought makes his brain short-circuit cause he's so in love.

sliding the ring on your finger and finally getting to kiss you is the best moment of his life. his tears are long gone and he's all giggles and smiles by now. he kisses you so nicely with a dramatic dip and everything. when he pulls apart you're both laughing and the guests are all clapping and cheering. his dimples will not leave his face because he can't stop smiling for the rest of the day.

he's no longer in any danger of crying during the reception but he cannot top smiling and he can't be separated from you at all. if you want to greet guests, you'll have to drag him along with you because his hand is permanently stuck to your waist now. he's so dashingly handsome with his bright eyes and smile, finally able to call himself your husband.

(although yes he fumbles a bit during the cake cutting only because he's so excited!! it's both your favourite flavor and he loves food so much so the cake was always the second biggest thing he was looking forward to after finally tying the knot with you).

ok gonna make a masterpost rant on my thoughts / hopes for #hakyeonsolodebut bc he’s coming back soon and i know hwang sejun follows me personally so 

1. pre-release digital single

option 1: summer

song: ok i know someone at that fuckass company is gonna be like “omg you should totally do a ballad” so i thought what if we didn’t have to suffer and it was just a little teaser for the album like dream and free tempo and hyuk’s songs were and not the main song? if we have to get a slow song, rather than a ballad i want something soft and sweet like choco chip cookie.

outfit: a mix of the ceci photoshoot and big issue, oversized shirts but less pink and more.. sparkly? i’m seeing stickers on his skin and glitter on his hair but idk that might be a vision for another time. anklets if we’re doing a beach thing. hair curly and parted so his eyebrows show a little (put some glitter on them like aoa cream king) maybe even some novelty hair clips

m/v: aesthetics..... the overused 3:4 aspect ratio solid color background with some objects in front omg.. but i’d eat it up for hakyeon honestly if it was more pastel and told a story. cutesy nostalgic with a girl maybe so he can trend for being boyfriend material again. balloons, very colorful, sunny summer-like, 

option 2: autumn

song:  i know vixx generally don’t do trends (thank god they never did beat drop chorus noise /barf) BUT, and hear me out, CITY POP is kinda on the rise and his #aestheticcore ass would GO ALL OUT. yukika - neon is like, representative intl stan choice but it is actually amazing. i can see hakyeon going upbeat retro but in my mind the prerelease single is a slightly faster ballad over a vaporwave/futurefunk/citypop instrumental (can you tell i don’t listen to that cringe shit). i can also see some trot elements being thrown in that suit fit hakyeon’s voice 

outfits: imagine this picture but with highwasted brown pants instead and a much flowier white/blue shirt with like puffier sleeves? maybe an extra button undone. then a beret (!), huge fucking dangly earrings, and his hair styled wavy like for the big issue magazine. black shoes with a high heel because fuck you or whatever these shoes are called because fashion. 

m/v: yeah i want it melancholic and rainy and dark and him singing to a stand mic late at night reminiscing.... the night sky.. stars.. starlights.. get it?

option 1: sexy

song: if hakyeon went for a sexy concept, and i could totally see him do cunt very well, bass down low and heavy, something like shinhwa’s first love (!!!), hashtag’s freesm, sujeong’s tiger eyes, OR something with a western pop influence: poison, give it up to me, or even hara’s midnight queen

but the ideal? this song is everything i could ever want for hakyeon’s solo debut. the jrock-pop-dance-edm influences are brilliant, it’s fast paced and hot and leaves plenty opportunities for what hakyeon does best, and that’s stare at a stage camera seductively. 

dance: mm a lot of hip work and some flowy arm movements. a little contemporary dance break for hakyeon to flex. female and male back up dancers falling over him/fighting for his attention/serving as his chairs (which he did already lmfao). also that thing where one person moves from stage left to stage right and the dancers behind them copy and freeze in various poses/wave choreography. ALSO there’s a smirk and panting and a growl in this song... if no one got me i know hakyeon’s facial expressions got me!

outfit: THIS gay ass shirt is the ONLY choice wtf!!! taemin move promotions inspired but with higher wasted pants to suit hakyeon’s body type. no necklaces either, maybe gloves, dr martens... the highlight of this outfit would be his arms and lipoma <3 in an ideal world id ask for a little red gradient lip too but whatever, the eye makeup can go crazy instead

m/v: literally let’s bring it back to 2012 give me a box set and 50% dance shots 50% head shots i don’t give a fuuuck!

m/v:  a whole storyline set in like the 50s in which hakyeon is a bartender/cleaner at a cabaret club and he stares wistfully at all the performers on stage and imagines himself up there and practices and then the climax of the song has him receiving standing ovations and as the song closes he’s like jolted from his daydream :’)

Seungwoo:

His eyes watched you carefully as Seungwoo followed you around the room, hiding behind the corner of the bedroom to catch you.

As you passed Seungwoo he jumped out, making you jump back as his arms wrapped around your waist. “Surprise,” he laughed as your breath hitched in your throat.

“You idiot,” you scolded, trying your best to wrestle out of Seungwoo’s grip, but he was far too strong for you as he kept a hold of you.

“I’m sorry, it was too good of a chance,” he told you.

“Why do you always scare me like that?”

Seungwoo struggled to hold back his laughter as you continued to gasp in surprise. “It’s just so easy for me to scare you, I can’t help myself sometimes.”

“I hate you,” you muttered under your breath, only making the laughter that came from Seungwoo behind you even louder as he got the perfect reaction.

After a few moments an apologetic kiss was placed to the side of your head, “don’t stay mad at me, I didn’t mean to make you jump so bad.”

“You definitely did, I know exactly what you’re like.”

Seungsik:

A squeal came from you as you found yourself being pulled back as you went to walk into the bathroom, feeling yourself hit Seungsik.

He hugged you tightly from behind as you caught your breath from his sudden appearance. “Happy birthday,” he whispered after a few moments, kissing your cheek.

“Thank you,” you laughed as Seungsik trailed several kisses along the top of your shoulder too, “you were still asleep in bed just then.”

“I wanted to get up with the birthday girl,” he joked.

“You’re not leaving my side, are you?”

Seungsik’s head shook proudly in response to you, “I want to spend all day with you so that I can make as many memories as possible on your birthday.”

“I’m interested to hear what you’ve got planned for today,” you chimed, looking back to Seungsik as you tried to get a couple of spoilers out of him for your day.

He knew you better though as he remained tight lipped. “You’ll just have to wait and see, but I promise that you’ll love it.”

“Good, that’s the only thing that matters to me.”

Sejun:

You turned around as you heard the bedroom door opening, knowing that there was only one person it could be as Sejun walked into the room.

He was drawn to you straight away as he noticed you wiping underneath your eyes. “Y/N, are you alright?” He quizzed, walking over and coming up behind you with a hug.

“I’m alright,” you responded, looking away from Sejun as you tried to hide the fact that you had got teary eyed from Sejun as he studied you.

“Do you want to be honest with me now?” Sejun asked.

“It’s nothing, no need to worry.”

His brows furrowed as he carried on watching you, “there must be something going on if you’ve got upset, I can tell that you’ve been crying Y/N.”

“Don’t worry,” you tried to tell Sejun again, but his head shook as he squeezed tightly around your frame, determined to get to the bottom of what was upsetting you.

A soft sigh came from him as he tried once again, “don’t shut me out Y/N, just talk to me, whatever it is I can help you out, right?”

“It’s not that big of a deal, I guess it’s just work.”

Hanse:

The sound of someone yawning in your ear made you jump as Hanse suddenly appeared behind you, resting in tightly against the crook of your neck.

He knew that you were watching him as you reached back and took a hold of his hand. “I’m so tired,” he grumbled, searching for a little comfort from you to make him feel better.

“Why don’t we head to bed if you’re tired?” You suggested with little left that you needed to do for the day, “then you can get some rest?”

“But will I be able to cuddle you like this in bed?” Hanse enquired.

“I’m sure that we can figure it out.”

A slow nod of the head followed from Hanse as he continued to back hug you as you led him towards the stairs. “Have I ever told you how comfy you are?”

“Now I know you’re definitely tired, you’re being nice to me,” you couldn’t help but tease, even managing to bring a sleepy laugh out of Hanse behind you.

Hanse’s head shook as you reached the bottom step, “I can be nice to you, sometimes, and not only when I want something too.”

“Once or twice you might’ve been nice to me.”

Subin: 

You tried to walk past Subin as you noticed him in the room, but he was too quick, snaking his arms around your waist and capturing you against his chest.

You kept staring forwards, not responding to him at all. “I hate when we fight, do you think we can talk and figure this out?” Subin asked you, pressing a kiss against your cheek.

“I guess,” you frowned, still giving very little to Subin as you spoke in a barely audible whisper, “we can’t carry this on forever, can we?”

“I’m sorry for all that I said to you earlier,” Subin quickly told you.

“I’m sorry too, it was uncalled for.”

Slowly you began to relax in Subin’s hold as you broke down the walls that you had up around you. “I probably deserved what you said to me a little bit.”

“It was still mean,” you noted, resting your head back slightly against his shoulder, “I should’ve been the bigger person and just ignored what you said to me.”

Subin smiled as he listened to you scold yourself, “I think we can both agree that we should put this behind us, don’t you think?”

“Yeah, I definitely agree with that idea.”

Byungchan:

A chuckle came from you as Byungchan came up behind you and hugged you as soon as he found you in the room, resting his chin against your shoulder with a smile.

As you looked back to him, Byungchan couldn’t help but laugh too. “I’m so happy to be home, I missed your hugs so much whilst I was on the road,” he whispered to you.

“I missed your hugs more,” you insisted as you rested your hands against Byungchan’s that were against your stomach.

“I just want to stay here all day now,” Byungchan admitted.

“We’ve got things to do though.”

A groan came from him as he pulled you tighter into your chest, “are you sure that all of those boring things can’t wait for another day?”

“As much as I’d like to stay cuddled up with you all day too, we’ve got jobs to do,” you reminded him, “maybe we can stay like this once we’ve got everything done.”

Byungchan reluctantly nodded as you looked back at him again, “were you always this mean to me before I went on the road?”

“Stop being so dramatic now that you’re home.”

 It was early in the morning, although you should have really been up and about already, when you were woken up by a lot of loud banging and voices coming from your kitchen.

You reluctantly pushed back the blankets and slipped your feet into your uggs before making your way towards the noise.

To say you were not prepared for what you walked in on was an understatement. Sejun had completely redecorated the kitchen with what looked like baking ingredients. You couldn’t believe that one person could make such a mess in such a short amount of time, especially since the cake was still not in the oven.

“Sejun, what are you up to?”

You cautiously made your way towards the dishevelled man, who turned to face you, flour in his hair and eggs covered his apron. You couldn’t help but giggle at the sight. He looked completely lost at what to do, which only made your heart swoon.

“I’m trying to bake a cake. Emphasis on trying.” He smiled weakly, embracing you in his arms as you closed the space between you.

“Well, if you’re wanting to bake the cake, shouldn’t it be in the oven and not all over the kitchen?”

“Very funny Y/N. Is this the treatment I get for being a domestic partner? Should I stop and not feed you?” He pulled you away from him dramatically, a playful glint in his eyes.

“Feeding yourself more like it.”

He feigned shock as his mouth opened widely with a gasp, his hand touching his chest for extra effect.

“How about we put this in the oven, and I will help you clean up?”

Sejun all but leaped at the offer, quickly placing the cake in the oven and setting the timer before collecting all the dishes and piling them in the sink.

“You wash and I’ll dry?” You suggested, he nodded before you both got to work.

 “Why does it take so long to cook?” Sejun asked twenty minutes later as he stared into the oven forlornly, his head in his hands as he waited for the cake to be ready.

“It’s taking the exact amount of time it should. It’s not the cakes fault you’re impatient.” You teased lightly, prodding his side playfully as his attention left the cake momentarily.

“I am not impatient. I just really want cake.”

“It does smell pretty good.” You admitted, a smile playing on his lips at your words.

Just then the oven timer went off.

Sejun flinched, startled by the noise as he quickly grabbed the oven mitts and went to retrieve his cake from the oven.

“Cake time! Cake time!” he mumbled excitedly to himself as he pulled the cake out of the oven, closing the door with his knee before turning around to make his way to the kitchen counter.

“Be careful, it’s hot.” You warned, noting the steam coming from it in his hands.

“I know, Y/N.”

Sejun didn’t take his eyes off the cake as he took the steps towards the counter, although at the last second he tripped on the edge of the mat on the floor, the cake falling out of his grasp and landing on the floor with a splat.

“No!”

It all happened in slow motion. The cake slipped from his hands before either of you could save it, Sejun instantly screaming and falling to the ground beside it. His eyes looking sadly at the fluffy mess on the floor.

“I’m sorry.” You said, stifling a laugh at your boyfriend’s dramatics. “Is there any way to salvage it?”

“There’s no way. It’s all-in pieces.” He shook his head dejectedly, picking up the remnants of the cake,

“One day, I shall have you.”

“Just not today.”

Sejun turned to glare at you, not finding your humour funny at all. You laughed softly, rubbing his back soothingly, trying to ease the pain he was feeling from the whole situation.

“How about I order us takeaway to make up for the lack of cake?”

“Now you’re talking!” His mood picked up at the suggestion of more food.

You knew the way to his heart was through his stomach, and even though he was upset about the cake, any mention of food could perk Sejun up, and your playful teasing would soon be all but forgotten.

Is This A Date? - Sejun

“Where is everyone?”

You gesture around at the empty seats of the booth. Sejun sighs, looking at the empty seat next to his.

“They all backed out last minute,” he trails, “are you upset that it’s just me?”

He rests his forearms on the table, leaning closer to you, squinting incredulously. You shake your head, laughing at him.

“I’ll go order.”

Sejun stands from his seat, heading over to the cafe counter. He comes back shortly later, sitting the buzzer on the edge of the table.

“Do you think they did it on purpose?” You lean across the table, Sejun’s eyes widen like a deer caught in headlights.

“What do you mean?”

“I mean, how did we go through planning the whole thing, for them to last-minute have other schedules. Isn’t it suspicious?”

You ramble, Sejun starts to speak but is cut off by the buzzer.

“I’ll go get the drinks,” he sighs.

You nod, picking up your phone, scrolling mindlessly through Instagram. It does not take long for Sejun to return with the drinks, you sit your phone down, thanking him softly. The conversation quickly turns towards talking about his schedules, catching up on things you missed while busy with work. Conversation between you always flowed easily, but today for some reason, Sejun seemed stiffer than usual.

“Is something wrong?”

You inquire, gesturing towards him. Sejun sighs, taking a drink of his coffee.

“It was on purpose.”

It takes you a second to figure out what he is referring to.

“What do you mean, why didn’t they come?”

“I asked them not to,” he pauses, sinking his teeth into his bottom lip.

“I like you,” he concludes.

A stunned silence comes from your side while Sejun picks at the foam cup. His words replay in your mind, “I like you.” It is something you had wanted to hear from him but had pushed away for his sake.

“You like me?”

Your voice comes out much quieter than you intended. He nods, his head tilting towards the table, avoiding your eyes. Butterflies dance in your stomach, you want to return the words, but they catch in your throat.

“I like you too, but,” your tone dips at the last word, “your career.”

A heavy silence falls between the two of you.

“Me being an idol never mattered to you before.”

Sejun breaks the silence. He is right, but your mind and heart are fighting against each other. You take in a deep breath attempting to calm your racing thoughts, a smile spreading across your face.

“Does that make this a date then?”

Sejun laughs, nodding his head: “if you want it to be.”

1:13 am

It was way past midnight when Sejun entered her apartment. He had been hoping to spend some time with her before promotions start but was barely able to thanks to practice and what not. The most he could get was sleep with cuddling her while she was already asleep mostly.

So what he wasn't expecting was her, lying asleep on the couch with all the lights on.

When she heard the ruckus, she stirred awake and seeing him, gave him a huge smile.

"You're back!" She said, getting up, her voice still full of sleep and he nodded.

"Were you waiting for me?" He asked and when she nodded, he was suddenly overcome with this feeling of love for her that he couldn't stop himself from going to her and pulling her in his arms.

"What did I do to deserve you?" He asked in her hair and felt her laugh in his arms.

"You wooed me with your cute face Lim Sejun."

She said and he felt himself chuckle.

When she tried to pull back, he held her even tighter and felt her hands snake in to comb through his hair.

"What's wrong?" She whispered in his chest and he sighed.

"I want to go out with you. Take you shopping, sight seeing. Hell I want to take you on our tours and visit the countries with you and just.

I want to announce our relationship to everyone."

She sighed.

Recently he had been like this. Wanting to tell everyone about them. The company was skeptical but had agreed on the condition that she does.

And she wanted to too. She wasn't afraid of any hate or whatever she'll receive. She was scared for his career.

His group was finally gaining the attention they deserved and she didn't wanted to be the reason for its downfall.

But day by day it was getting harder to make him understand this.

She tried to pull back again when he pulled her closer even.

"I know you're going to say you don't want to. To not harm my career. I know.

Just.

Let me hold you close instead." He said and she nodded.

They don't know how long they stood there in each others embrace in the living room.

They could always talk about the relationship later.

All that was important was that he had her Beside him, someone who would wait for him and will make his heart pound irregularly, someone he wanted to show off to the whole world.

And everything was somehow fine.

“Baaabe, what are you doing?”

A smile tugs at your lips when you hear the slight pout in your boyfriend’s voice. “Looking up how to deal with whiny, attention seeking boyfriends.”, you answer, pretending to read something on the computer screen in front of you. Sejun huffs in mock exasperation. “But you love when I’m whiny.”, he says cheekily and you grin, turning around to face him, gently brushing your lips against his. He smiles, nuzzling your nose. “Wrong. I love you and that sadly entails loving your whining as well.”, you finally reply and he grins in triumph, showing off his dimples. “Well, just for the record - I love you too.”, he murmurs against your lips, before drawing back and stretching both arms over his head, yawning and exposing a flash of his flat stomach. You playfully poke his belly button and he yelps, quickly darting out of reach. 

You just wiggle your eyebrows at him, before turning back to your computer screen. “You’ll be finished soon, right?”, Sejun asks again and you giggle, nodding without looking at him. “Give me about... half an hour. Then we can watch a movie and cuddle all evening, okay? Just you and I.”, you answer and he claps his hands together, sounding happy and excited. “Yes, perfect. I’ll order food and build a blanket fort for us.” And with that, he finally leaves the room. You can’t help but shake your head at his antics, a loving smile gracing your face. 

Yes, your boyfriend might be an attention seeker... but a really cute one.
