This man is fucking talented ๐ฉ
Oh my god!!! He is seriously beyond talented! I love his little freak out moments the best too! He plays demented and twisted characters, but in real life he seems to be so soft and sweet. And tame!
My favorite freak out will forever be Charles Blackwood. His little bounce and shout! I love him so much

OMG, he's gonna work with Justin Kurzel? And finally do a film in Romanian with one of the top directors? These are the riches this award season will bring. Trophies are fun and all, but I'm more excited that he's getting these opportunities. Go, Seb!

โSebastian Stan has above all become that familiar face for many fans of the Marvel Universe, that of a mutilated, frozen, ex-American soldier turned ruthless killer. Itโs James โBuckyโ Barnes Iโm talking about, of course. Sebastian Stan has been donning the Winter Soldierโs costume for ten years now in the Captain America film series, the Avengers, and other TV series. But itโs above all, because he succeeds in conveying the pain, doubt, redemption, and above all, hope of this broken man caught up in the torments of his past.โ
Iโm so glad they are acknowledging the talent it takes to play Bucky. Sebastian is finally getting his flowers.

INTERVIEW: Sebastian Stan on Curiosity, Confrontation, and His Oscar Contenders
Sebastian Stan has had a wild twelve months that I strangely found myself a small part of.
Stan received critical acclaim and awards attention for two films: A Different Man, where he played an actor with a facial disfigurement, and The Apprentice, where he played a young Donald Trump. Both performances are intricately detailed and precise, evading stereotypes and caricatures amidst shifting themes and tones. They also encapsulate a common theme in his work that I first noticed in Fresh: exploring charactersโ darker impulses that others either miss or deliberately ignore. Despite their acclaim, both films struggled with distribution and promotion, with The Apprentice facing lawsuit threats and industry hesitance to engage with the film. He went viral after revealing that he couldnโt participate in Varietyโs Actors on Actors series because other actorsโ publicists didnโt want them discussing the newly-elected president. (My tweet describing the situation as reprehensible went viral, too.) Despite the blowback, Stan remained upfront and outspoken, fashioning himself as a fearless, principled artist during a fraught political and cultural moment.
Stanโs unique position and detailed approach to his work were reinforced in my interview with him for AwardsWatch, conducted days after he won the Golden Globe for A Different Man and before his Oscar nomination for The Apprentice. It was a full circle moment of sorts for me, after advocating for A Different Man since seeing it in April, interviewing Matia Bakalova for The Apprentice, and meeting director Aaron Schimberg following a screening in New York. During our conversation, I sensed that he wanted to meet his moment in time responsibly, emphasizing how important curiosity and empathy were to the human condition. Given his challenges in releasing and promoting his films, I also sensed, through our few interactions, how genuinely moved he was by the support and recognition heโs received. (Case in point: he was incredibly generous with his time when he didnโt have to be.) Itโs near-impossible not to be thrilled for him and the acknowledgment of his talent and thoughtfulness.
My goal in publishing this interview in full is for others to sense what I have about Sebastian Stan over these past twelve months by giving him the space to share his journey, in this awards season and in the larger context of his complex career.
[NOTE: This interview has been slightly edited for clarity.]
Itโs an embarrassment of riches to say you are in two awards-contending films, The Apprentice and A Different Man. What has the experience been like for you this season?
Itโs been very surreal. You never really know the outcomes of any film when you go and make them. Youโre always just hoping they turn out well, especially if theyโre shot under crazy circumstances, which both of these films were. A Different Man was 24 days, still in COVID, in New York, and it was just running and gunning to try and make the day, every day. And [Aaron] was trying to shoot it on film, and he had these beautiful one-take shots, which required everybody in the crew to be on the same page. And then The Apprentice, Iโve been trying to get going since 2019, and every time we got close, it fell apart. [So] you hope people will watch it. And when you get into this wild time that is the fall, where youโve got so many films coming out and major studios contending like Netflix, Amazon, and Apple, and everyoneโs got their horses in the race, so to speak, you donโt know if your movie will cut through.
A Different Man had an interesting journey. Itโs amazing because Aaron and I kept saying, โLook, somehow weโre at the Gothams, and then the Gotham thing happened.โ Or, โWow, weโre at the Globes,โ or, โWow, we got to Berlin.โ There were all these signs that this film was connecting with people, but it felt like we always had to be the cheerleaders to A24 about it [and say], โLetโs keep going.โ
With The Apprentice, it had no marketing. When we finally got the movie from, basically, not being almost censored, we had two and a half months of trying to get the film out with any marketing, like billboards on Sunset Boulevard or anything like that. So when you get to the Globes, and Iโm sitting there, and Iโm going, โWow, this actually happened with both of these films,โ you canโt help but feel grateful because this is the win. This is probably as good as itโs going to get. And then, obviously, anything that happens after that is an amazing moment, but in terms of getting both films seen, it helps to have those moments.
How do you feel after winning the Globe? Iโm sure thereโs probably some vindication or celebration of the fact that this film you championed was recognized in the first major event of the season.
It was incredibly gratifying for many reasons. One, for the film and getting more attention to it. Two, for the filmโs subject matter. Itโs not an easy, simple film. Itโs beautiful, complex, funny, and tragic and speaks to such big questions and themes. When you look at films like that, there arenโt a lot out there. You want to encourage people like Aaron Schimberg to keep working and making them, for people to keep looking at Adam Pearson as an actor first and not as somebody with a disfigurement, and to envision him in [other] ways. I think thatโs what this movie does so brilliantly; for that purpose, itโs amazing.
For me, at 42 years old, having been around and doing this for 20-somewhat years, youโre always hoping that youโre going to be up there someday and thank some of these people. I couldโve been up there for an hour, you know? So many people have contributed to my life, and you just want to highlight everybody. But it was a nice moment for my mom and the close people in my life.
But then it was scary becauseโฆwe woke up the next day, and 24 hours later, these fires were happening, and suddenly, we were in a different world, and weโve been in a different world since. Itโs been hard to look back at that because itโs been crazy watching so many people lose their homes, people that I know.
Hopefully, everythingโs been okay for you.
Yeah, everythingโs okay. Fortunately, everyoneโs okay, but there are friends and people we know who have lost their homes and everythingโฆor just the entire neighborhood, especially in the Palisades area. Itโs really difficult to wrap your mind around it. Mother NatureโฆI donโt know if thereโs anything more humbling than that, right? We all end up being put in the backseat, and none of it really matters at that point. Weโre all in the same boat, you know? But hopefully, weโll get a little bit better today.
I really hope so. Now, getting into your career and these films, do you see any similarities between the two roles of Edward/Guy and Donald Trump?
I do because, to me, I feel like they are two different forms of narcissism, two different forms of extreme narcissism. When I think of narcissism, I think of denying and suppressing who we really are and inventing another person. If you want to look at psychological terms, you call it the super-ego. When the distance between your true self and this other invented version youโre putting forward continues to grow because youโre constantly suppressing and lying about yourself, you have to create a bigger and bigger lie. It starts to have consequences that affect you and the people around you.
Edward is a singular person in his own world, [while Trump] happens to be a political figure who is meant to be a leader and an authoritative figure, meant to be an example to other people. His reach and how he inspires certain people goes much, much further. Iโve always seen both films as a denial of reality and a loss of humanity. Thatโs what the Trump story is to me. Itโs what happens when you completely abandon empathy and morals and are only trying to fuel and feed this one particular need, and you have no regard for consequences that affect other people. Everythingโs transactional as long as he can keep his lie alive.
What I see in Trump is a very broken, pained, paranoid, insecure little boy. I donโt say that to simply go, โYes, heโs human, and you should feel bad for him.โ I also say that to highlight the flaws that might get in the way of this person having power, moral authority, and so on. I donโt know if thatโs the person I would necessarily trust, you know? Even in these horrific fires, instead of offering solutions, heโs sitting there and using whatโs happening in California to serve his story and narrative, point fingers, and assign blame. Itโs horrific to me.
With Edward, he feels that heโs made a mistake denying or suppressing himself, but heโs not connecting with that, and, as a result, he ends up becoming kind of a monster himself. Everything revolves around what has been taken from him, but he never assumes responsibility for the fact that he surrendered rather than someone having taken it from him. There are these complex themes that I think are relatable and interesting, and I donโt know if people connect that with those two movies, but I was able to speak about them for the last few months.
What I find fascinating about your career, and correct me if Iโm wrong, is that I think youโve selected characters who have some form of inner darkness beneath the โSebastian Stan of it all.โ I think youโve done a great job communicating that darkness and how it manifests and festers in different ways. Sometimes itโs loud and funny and exciting, like in Pam and Tommy, and sometimes it can be dark and insidious, like in The Apprentice, Sharper and Destroyer. Is that something youโve been actively seeking?
I think I have been curious about gravitating towards things that feel complex or I donโt quite understand right away because I find thatโs how people are. I think sometimes, when we have discomfort with certain films, the pity of that discomfort can translate into ignoring something altogether because โI donโt want to go there.โ Sometimes, itโs something we havenโt confronted yet or donโt want to confront. To me, one of those is that we are not perfect people. People are flawed and are all susceptible to going in very different ways.
I think we all walk around with some version of an angel and a devil on each shoulder. Every day is a decision we make to go out in the world and either hurt or try to help somebody, even in a small way. Like, you go and get a cup of coffee, and maybe you smile at the person, or you donโt even look at them. Weโre conscious of things; weโre not conscious of things.
Iโm always trying to learn more about myself. I donโt think of any roles as particularly reflective of me, necessarily, but I like surprising myself. I think thatโs what Iโm supposed to do as an actor: keep exploring humanity and its diversity. I love when there are these roles that feel closer to the truth, that itโs not always black and white, that itโs not always just a good guy and a bad guy. Itโs complex. Unfortunately, there are very good people in the world who donโt have the tools and sometimes end up hurting others. There are also sometimes psychopaths that can reflect one good quality, and you wonder if somebody in their life had supported that quality more, would it have been different? I think thatโs whatโs interesting to me: just how big the scope is in terms of being a human.
Digging into the films themselves, we can start with The Apprentice; I spoke with Maria Bakalova last month, and she told me โ and I was blown away by this โ that the scene where Donald breaks down after Fred Juniorโs death was largely improvised. Iโd love to know how you conceived that moment.
I think that was an experience thatโs so reflective of my process and how I approach this work. You can go home at night and do all this preparation. You prepare for months before and hope you get there, and you surrender to the director, the other actors, the moment, the scene. You envision things sometimes going a certain way, but almost nine out of 10 times, they donโt go that way. Thereโs something else happening, and itโs always about staying open to that.
In the script, there was always this moment with Donald being alone in the bathroom and breaking down, and then Ivana walks in and finds him and he quickly cleans himself up and says, โNothing happened.โ We shot it a couple of times, and there were takes where that happened. Then there was another take where, in the moment, I froze, and that was the truth of the scene. Maria walked in, and I knew we werenโt shooting the scene we were supposed to. But we still stayed in it and explored what happened. Fortunately, as was the process with the whole movie, Ali kept rolling, and thankfully, it carried us into the bedroom. We got into bed, and she put her hand on my hand. And then suddenly, all that [emotion] started to happen in that moment. Then I jumped and punched the wall, which didnโt make it into the film, but you had this moment before, which did.
Thatโs the beauty of this work, what I love about it. If you stay open, thereโs a way it can go where you didnโt see it going that ends up being closer to the truth. And you want it always to be as close to the truth as possible.
What aspect of Donald Trump were you most excited and scared to explore?
Itโs a really great question; thank you for asking that. I feel actors have to stay curious. I think the creative language is more powerful than any language we have on this earth. No matter where we come from, what we believe, how we were raised, or what language we speak, itโs the one thing that I feel, human to human, we can get to if we can allow ourselves to stay curious.
For me, I thought, โI really want to let me try and find out who this person is.โ Going back in time and looking at some of the early footage [of him], I saw a vulnerability and insecurity there that I didnโt know existed, that seemed to be buried down deep underneath this pile of bravado, this carefully curated, Clint Eastwood-like, Zoolander stare down that weโre getting. There was a real person there at one point. I wanted to know more about that and how he became what he became.
I think what scared me the most was, knowing that heโs so well-known and in our faces everywhere, that I felt it was almost near-impossible to get anyone even to spend two hours trying to figure out who this guy was. Heโs been done so many times. There are so many caricatures and impressions of him, and these mannerisms that he has now, the way he speaks, the lips, everythingโฆ I had to pick and choose how to filter that out through two hours so that people could connect with and believe in the reality and not be disconnected because of what they know.
What helped was that, when he was younger, he was less. There was a lot less of what you see now, those things that have built over time. His voice didnโt sound like he does now; his mannerisms werenโt as specific. That was the challenge and fear, just knowing that if I do a little too much too soon, Iโm going to lose everybody. Iโm just going to be thrown in there as just another kind of impression.
Youโve spoken about growing up in Romania during the collapse of the Soviet Union, experiencing political unrest and dissent. Did any of those personal experiences shape your performance of Trump or how you approached the film overall?
Yeah, totally. I think this idea about the American Dream that I, my parents, and everybody else in Romania at the time were dreaming and talking about was what I was trying to explore with [the film]. Itโs about Trump and Roy Cohn, but itโs also about this ideology. What does it really do to a person? I think we see this over time. There are plenty of examplesโฆ if you look at Elon Muskโฆ he keeps growing stronger and bigger, and thereโs this idea of power corrupting absolutely. You can make your own thoughts about what heโs become, but thereโs something about this American Dream.
When I came to America, my mom said, โWeโre here now, and Iโve sacrificed my life, and you have to make something of yourself because youโre going to have this opportunity that so many kids are not going to have. Youโre lucky that we got this far.โ This is something that 100% helped me, but itโs complicated. I hear that; it drives me, but I also feel this burden of responsibility and this pressure of, โWhat if I fail? What if it doesnโt happen? How do I deal with this?โ
I find that many people in this business, and Silicon Valley and Wall Street, you see people getting more money, accumulating more things or more awards, or they get there, and itโs never enough. Thereโs always something else, so they have to get another thing. If youโre nominated once for one Oscar and donโt get nominated for another 10 years, then youโre in the โone-time-only club.โ
This is, to me, part of the story of The Apprentice. When is it enough, and what does it do to a person? So I think my journey through Vienna and coming here and trying to understand what it means to be an American, growing up in America, 100% influenced me with that part, and probably also drove me to do it.
Moving to A Different Man, the first thing that struck me was how you retain Edwardโs physicality while playing Guy while also performing what Guy imagines being a person who never had a physical disability or disfigurement is like. Could you walk me through that process?
On a technical, scientific level, our muscles hold memory. Itโs why, sometimes, people talk about improving posture and how standing up straight and walking into a room can influence mood, and thereโs a lot of research into that. So, even though youโre dying your hair, losing weight, going to the gym, or [doing] whatever else to feel like you belong more, it doesnโt necessarily change the muscle memory that you carry. There are certain things and traumas over time that will always be there. You may still react to something the same way years later, depending on how much work youโve done.
For me, [there was] trauma that came from the prosthetics and walking around the city. When I was walking around, I was so self-conscious. I felt people walk by me. Some would look, some would ignore me, but everything in my body was telling me to go in. All I wanted to do was go into myself, get through that street, and get to my destination as quickly as possible. So, as a result, I was walking a certain way, and I felt powerlessness, and I realized that was not going away for Edward.
Edward changes his physical appearance, but heโs never confronted any of the things he feels most in pain about on an internal level, so those things will continue. He might get better and go, โOh, wait, people donโt look at me that way anymore, so I can actually be this guy.โ But when heโs not conscious of it, heโs just falling right into who he was because there was no growth there for him.
It was also important for me to keep certain things about him that were recognizable from an audience standpoint that theyโll see later. I love what you said because I donโt think many people have picked up on Edward as Guy is Edwardโs idea of what he should be like as an โable-bodied person.โ
The other piece that helped me was speaking with this amazing woman, Elna Baker, who wrote a book about losing nearly 100 pounds. She lost all this weight, and suddenly, she was walking down the street and noticing men and women looking at her. She was finally the person she envisioned herself to be or felt she was. Over time, she started to miss her old self, to the point where she was missing people gawking at her and how heavy she used to be. I thought it was so interesting that this transformation for her didnโt ultimately pay off as she had hoped, that the inner peace, calm, and self-acceptance were not there. She talked about how there were things that she could do that she had never done before, but they werenโt fulfilling her in any way.
In a similar way, I think Guy ends up going down this path that he thinks will supply him with all these things that heโs watched other people have for years, but itโs actually made his life quite boring.
For me, one of the yearโs best scenes is when Guy watches Oswald do karaoke and then watches the audience react to Oswald in a way that Guy doesnโt expect. Iโd love to know what you were thinking at that moment because it was gorgeously acted, and you were communicating rank devastation through your eyes.
I appreciate that. I never really thought at that moment about how much that scene would ultimately mean. But I think itโs the first time Edward is confronted with this reality and denial of self in a very real way. A lot is happening there. I think heโs fascinated and curious. I think heโs looking for validation. I think heโs hoping that other people will judge Oswald the way heโs judging Oswald in that moment because judging Oswald helps keep his own lie alive.
At one point, he sees these two girls laughing and feels, โOh, theyโre laughing. Okay, good. I made the right choice. Theyโre laughing as they should because they would laugh at me.โ But actually, you donโt even know if theyโre laughing at Oswald. So I think itโs a lot of fear and fascination, and he can no longer run from what heโs been denying, which is, โOh, this couldโve been me. I couldโve owned myself, and perhaps I wouldโve been fine.โ I think heโs dealing with that, and from that point on, it starts to grow until the end of the movie, when he murders the physical therapist. It keeps growing because of the desperation of trying to maintain the lie of, โNo, no, no, I did the right thing,โ and it continues to spiral out of control.
That scene is about somebody whoโs in total ownership of themselves, which, by the way, I feel Adam is like in life, which is incredible. And then you have somebody who unfortunately realizes theyโve made the biggest mistake of their life.
Iโm glad you brought up Adam because his performance is extraordinary, and I wish it were being recognized more this season. But you did thank Adam in your Golden Globe speech for โhis trust.โ How do you two work together to establish that trust, and how did it manifest on screen?
I think with anybody youโre about to go into the trenches with, we met before, and kind of sussed each other out a little bit, and I just felt, โThis is going to be great. This is going to work out.โ We were both on the same page about what we wanted here. With Adam and A Different Man, I really felt that he was going to be this lighthouse for me, in terms of trying to understand how to approach this and how I should, in a way, best represent him. I was really in service to him and Aaron.
There was a lot of conversation around how he grew up, his childhood, and his experiences, what he encounters daily online. When we go back again to what we said at the beginning about the loss of humanity, sensitivity, and empathy thatโs transpiring online between people, how we attack other people anonymously. Itโs like, where do we get that from? Maybe people in power are giving permission to do that, you know? So, the fact that Adam can go out there every day and outwit any of these people and that heโs had to do that for so much of his life is very inspiring and shows how brave he is.
I wanted to understand how one gets to that point. I knew that [Adam] was very different from Edward, but it was also about creating Edwardโs past and background. Unlike Adam, who fortunately had a really strong support system with his mother and his family, all we know is that Edwardโs mom had passed, and we donโt really know what else transpired. There are many cases that I found researching online of people with disfigurement or different kinds of disabilities who had been abandoned, orphaned, or never had that support system from their families. So, it was interesting, but I felt that whatever I was going to do would always have to be in step with Adam and, of course, Aaron.
One last question to wrap up: what do you want people to take away from these two films?
I still feel, and I was saying this on Sunday night, that there is discomfort around these subject matters that confront us on a level weโre afraid to go to. I think both films do that, and I hope people donโt turn the other way. I donโt believe itโs always ill-intentioned towards disability and disfigurement. I think sometimes people are curious, but theyโre afraid of being curious, and theyโd rather just look the other way and not confront anything. Iโm saying this as someone whoโs learned that from Adam. Curiosity is okay. Itโs okay to be interested. Thatโs why I had a little kid come up to me when I was in the prosthetics and was very okay and engaging because that was pure curiosity. There was no judgment yet.
At the same timeโฆthere were times when Adam and I were trying to do press together, and we couldnโtโฆ theyโd rather only have me. There were things like that that are still not ill-intentioned, but they didnโt want to go there because they didnโt quite know how to deal with [the situation]. As a result, nothing happens.
With The Apprentice, obviously, thereโs fatigue and a lot of emotions, and none of that is wrong, but we have to be conscious of that part that leads to fear and indifference. Iโll hear people go, โIโll watch this after the election.โ Well, the world might be very different by that point. It feels a little bit like kicking the can down the road and not confronting reality.
I think this is a unique situation becauseโฆ weโre confronting something as itโs happening. Weโre not waiting 5-10 years after weโve digested everything. We can look back at the mistakes we made and [whether] that was the right call, and I think thatโs what put people in the hot seat. But as I referred to the creative language, itโs about staying curious and open to keep us informed, human to human.
Thereโs a lot that both of these films are talking about: narcissism, empathy, the loss of self, and acceptance. Youโre not necessarily going to get these things from Wikipedia, your email, a news channel, or somebody else telling you on TikTok. Youโre going to get that from experiences with other people. When youโre having kids growing up, especially now, with phones and laptops that theyโre basically chaining us to, human-to-human connection and empathy are something we have to keep protecting and nourishing. We can do that through movies, books, and art. Not AI algorithms that feed a certain kind of โselective free speech,โ but things that reflect how complex [life] is so that we can have an experience. Thatโs valuable.
I was lucky enough to be in two complicated films that I think were confronting people in certain ways. Weโve been seeing that some people got it, and others arenโt ready for that yet, but Iโd rather be on that side than the safe side.

Capturing Chemistry
The morning light filtered through the large windows of the studio, casting a warm glow over the expansive space. The hum of New York City traffic buzzed faintly from outside, blending with the low chatter of the crew setting up for the day's shoot. Y/n adjusted her camera lens, her mind focused on the task ahead. This wasn't her first high-profile job, but there was something about today's assignment that had her stomach fluttering with anticipation.
Sebastian Stan.
The name alone sent a ripple of excitement through the team when the booking was confirmed. He was a Marvel actor, beloved by fans for his portrayal of Bucky Barnes, and known for his disarmingly charming personality. Y/n had photographed celebrities before, but there was something different about Sebastian-something that made her palms sweat and her heart race just a little faster.
Y/n took a deep breath, shaking off her nerves. Today was just another shoot. She was here to do her job-capture the essence of Sebastian Stan through her lens. The concept for the magazine spread was a mix of rugged and refined, meant to showcase both Sebastian's A list Hollywood actor persona and his softer, more introspective side. She had prepared extensively, studying his past work and thinking through poses that would bring out something new, something that hadn't been captured before.
The door to the studio swung open with a soft creak, and Y/n glanced up just in time to see Sebastian enter. He was casually dressed in a navy sweater and jeans, his hair slightly tousled as if he'd just rolled out of bed. There was an effortless grace to his movements, a kind of quiet confidence that immediately drew the eye. But it was his smile-a genuine, boyish grin-that caught her off guard, making her heart skip a beat.
"Good morning, everyone," Sebastian greeted the room, his voice warm and inviting, with a hint of that unmistakable charm that had made him a fan favorite. His eyes scanned the space, finally landing on Y/n. She straightened instinctively, feeling a wave of self-consciousness wash over her as his gaze settled on her.
He walked over to her with a purposeful stride, his smile widening as he extended his hand. "Hi, I'm Sebastian," he said, his tone casual yet engaging.
Y/n shook his hand, trying to ignore the electric spark that shot through her at the contact. "Y/n," she replied, her voice steady despite the fluttering in her chest. "I'm the photographer for today's shoot."
Sebastian's eyes sparkled with amusement, his grip lingering just a second longer than necessary before he released her hand. "Y/n... I've heard about you," he said, his tone playful yet sincere. "They say you have a real talent for capturing the soul of a person in a single frame. I'm looking forward to seeing if that's true."
Y/n felt a blush creeping up her cheeks, a mix of flattery and nerves. "I'll do my best," she replied, her professional demeanor slipping slightly under the warmth of his gaze.
"Oh, I have no doubt about that," Sebastian said with a wink, his voice dropping to a conspiratorial whisper. "But just so you know, I don't make it easy on purpose."
Y/n chuckled, shaking her head as she tried to regain her composure. "I'll take that as a challenge, then."
His smile widened, and he took a step closer, lowering his voice as if sharing a secret. "You know, I have this little problem... Whenever I'm in front of a camera, I find myself getting distracted. Usually by something-or someone-much more interesting."
The way he said it, with a playful lilt in his voice and that mischievous glint in his eyes, sent a shiver down Y/n's spine. She was used to dealing with celebrities-actors, models, musicians-but Sebastian's attention felt different, more personal. It was as if he wasn't just being polite; he was genuinely interested in her, in who she was beyond the camera.
"Let's get started," Y/n said, breaking the moment before it lingered too long. She turned back to her camera, adjusting the settings with slightly shaky hands. "We've got a lot to cover."
As the crew moved into action, Sebastian gave Y/n one last lingering look before heading to the set. "Looking forward to seeing what kind of magic you can work, Y/n," he called over his shoulder, his tone teasing but laced with genuine curiosity.
Y/n took a deep breath, steeling herself for the hours ahead. She wasn't about to let a little flirting throw her off her game. This was just another shoot, and she was a professional. But as she glanced back at Sebastian, now standing in the center of the set with that same easy confidence, she couldn't help but feel a thrill of anticipation.
The shoot began smoothly, with Y/n guiding Sebastian through a series of poses. He was a natural in front of the camera, his expressions shifting effortlessly from intense to relaxed, playful to contemplative. But it was the moments in between the shots that caught her off guard-the way he would glance at her with that crooked smile, or the way he would comment on the lighting or the angle, always with a hint of flirtation that made her heart skip a beat.
At one point, as Y/n adjusted the lighting, Sebastian caught her eye and raised an eyebrow. "You know, I've always thought photographers had the best job. They get to see the world through a different lens-literally. But I bet you see a lot more than most people do, don't you?"
Y/n looked up from her camera, caught off guard by the question. "I guess you could say that," she replied, trying to keep her tone neutral. "It's all about capturing the right moment."
Sebastian tilted his head, studying her with a curious expression. "And what about this moment? Are you going to capture it?"
There was a challenge in his eyes, one that Y/n wasn't sure how to respond to. She lifted her camera, focusing the lens on him. "Maybe I will," she said, her voice soft but firm.
He grinned, leaning slightly forward as if to meet her halfway. "Go ahead. I'm all yours."
The playful innuendo wasn't lost on her, and Y/n felt her cheeks warm again. But she didn't let it distract her. Instead, she snapped the picture, capturing the moment in all its flirtatious glory.
As the shoot continued, Sebastian's flirtations became more frequent, but always light and teasing, never crossing a line. He had a way of making Y/n feel at ease, his humor disarming her usual guardedness. He was quick with a joke, often poking fun at himself in a way that made her laugh, and yet there was always an underlying sincerity to his words, a genuine interest in the person behind the camera.
During a break, as Y/n was reviewing the shots on her camera, Sebastian strolled over, a bottle of water in hand. "Mind if I take a look?" he asked, peering over her shoulder.
"Not at all," Y/n replied, scrolling through the images to show him.
He leaned in close, his shoulder brushing against hers as he studied the screen. "These are incredible," he said, his voice filled with admiration. "You've really got an eye for this."
Y/n turned her head slightly, finding him just inches away. His proximity made her heart race, but she kept her composure. "You make it easy," she replied, her voice steady.
Sebastian chuckled softly, his eyes locked on hers. "I think we make a pretty good team."
The way he said it, with that smooth, almost flirtatious edge, sent a thrill through Y/n. She had to remind herself again to focus on the job, not the man standing so tantalizingly close.
As the shoot progressed, Y/n found herself relaxing into the rhythm of the day. Sebastian's charm was infectious, and she couldn't help but respond in kind. She was used to keeping a professional distance, but with Sebastian, it felt natural to let her guard down, to enjoy the banter and the easy connection that seemed to spark between them.
"Alright, let's try something different," Y/n suggested as they approached the final set of shots. She adjusted the lighting, creating a softer, more intimate atmosphere. "I want to capture a quieter moment, something introspective."
Sebastian nodded, slipping into the mood effortlessly. He settled into a chair, his posture relaxed but thoughtful, as if he were lost in his own world. Y/n moved around him, capturing the subtle shifts in his expression, the way his eyes seemed to reflect a deeper emotion.
It was in these moments, when Sebastian wasn't performing but simply being, that Y/n felt she truly saw him. There was a vulnerability there, a depth that went beyond his public persona. She found herself drawn to it, wanting to understand the man behind the actor.
After the final shot, Y/n lowered her camera, feeling a sense of accomplishment. "That's a wrap," she announced, a smile tugging at her lips. "You were great."
Sebastian stood, stretching his arms above his head. "All thanks to you," he replied, his tone sincere. "You made this easy."
Y/n felt a warmth spread through her at his words. "It was a pleasure working with you."
He stepped closer, his eyes never leaving hers. "The pleasure was all mine."
There was a charged silence between them, the kind that makes the air feel thick with possibility. Y/n could sense that this was the moment, the point where their playful banter could either end as a fond memory or lead to something more.
"Listen," Sebastian began, his voice softer now, almost hesitant. "I know this might be a little forward, but... would you like to grab a coffee sometime? Maybe dinner?"
Y/n blinked, caught off guard by the directness of his question. She'd felt the chemistry between them, sure, but she hadn't expected him to make a move, at least not so soon.
"Are you asking me out, Mr. Stan?" she teased, trying to mask her surprise with humor.
He grinned, his eyes crinkling at the corners in that way that made him look boyish and endearing. "I suppose I am. But only if you're interested."
Y/n considered him for a moment, her heart pounding in her chest. This wasn't just some random guy asking her out-this was Sebastian Stan! A world-famous actor! But in this moment, he didn't feel like a celebrity. He felt like a man standing in front of her, genuine and a little vulnerable, waiting for her answer.
"I think I'd like that," she finally said, a smile spreading across her face.
The relief that washed over Sebastian was palpable, and he let out a breath he didn't realize he'd been holding.
"Great," he said, his smile widening. "How about tonight? I know a great little place not too far from here."
"Tonight works," Y/n replied, feeling a flutter of excitement.
"Perfect." Sebastian's grin was infectious, and Y/n couldn't help but mirror it.
As the crew began packing up, Sebastian lingered near Y/n, making small talk about the city, their favorite restaurants, and the latest movies. The conversation flowed easily, with none of the awkwardness that often comes with first-time interactions. There was a comfort in their rapport, as if they'd known each other far longer than a few hours.
When it was finally time to leave, Sebastian walked Y/n to the studio door. The late afternoon sun bathed the streets in a golden hue, the city alive with the usual hustle and bustle. Sebastian paused, turning to face her.
"I'm really looking forward to tonight," he said, his voice sincere.
"Me too," Y/n replied, her smile warm.
He hesitated for a moment, then leaned in to press a soft kiss to her cheek. It was a simple gesture, but it left her feeling light-headed, her skin tingling where his lips had touched.
"See you later, Y/n," Sebastian murmured, pulling back with a smile that was equal parts charming and shy.
"See you later, Sebastian," she echoed, watching as he walked away, disappearing into the sea of New Yorkers.
Y/n stood there for a moment, her heart still racing, a grin stretching across her face. She'd come to the studio today expecting just another photo shoot. She was leaving with something far more unexpected-the possibility of something new, something exciting.
And as she headed back to her apartment to get ready for her evening with Sebastian, Y/n couldn't help but feel like this was the beginning of a new chapter, one that she was eager to explore.
The city that never sleeps seemed to hum with possibilities, and Y/n couldn't wait to see where this unexpected day would lead her.
---
The streets of New York buzzed with life as Sebastian and Y/n walked side by side, their footsteps in sync as they navigated the familiar chaos of the city. It was their first date, a moment Y/n had hardly dared to imagine when she was just the photographer assigned to shoot him for a magazine spread. But now, here they were, on a warm summer evening, with the promise of something more lingering in the air between them.
Sebastian had insisted on taking her to Rubirosa, his favorite pizza spot in Nolita. It was a place that felt like home to him, with its cozy, unpretentious atmosphere and the best thin-crust pizza in the city. The kind of place you could only know about if you'd lived in New York long enough to discover the hidden gems.
When they arrived, the restaurant was bustling, but they managed to snag a small table near the back. The warm, inviting smells of fresh dough, tomato sauce, and melting cheese filled the air, making Y/n's stomach growl in anticipation.
"This place is amazing," Y/n said as she took in the cozy interior, the walls adorned with vintage photos and memorabilia. "I've walked past it a hundred times but never actually stopped in."
Sebastian grinned, pleased that he could introduce her to something new. "It's one of my favorite spots. I come here all the time, especially when I need a break from the craziness of the city. Plus, the pizza is to die for."
They ordered a classic margherita pizza and a bottle of red wine, the conversation flowing easily as they waited for their food. Sebastian was charming, funny, and so down-to-earth that Y/n found herself relaxing more and more with each passing minute. The man she had been nervous to meet as a photographer was now someone she could see herself getting to know on a much deeper level.
"So, what kind of music do you usually listen to when you're editing your photos?" Sebastian asked, genuinely curious.
Y/n smiled, considering his question. "It depends on my mood, but I tend to go for something that keeps me focused. Lately, I've been into indie pop and a lot of instrumental stuff."
Sebastian nodded, his interest piqued. "I can see that. For me, it's all about the 80s. That decade just had so many amazing bands and artists. I can't get enough of it."
Y/n looked at him with a raised eyebrow, a playful smile on her lips. "80s, huh? What's your favorite band?"
"Easy," Sebastian replied without missing a beat. "Depeche Mode. I've been obsessed with them for years. Their sound is just... timeless. And don't even get me started on 'Enjoy the Silence'-that song is everything."
"Depeche Mode is great," Y/n agreed, feeling a connection spark between them. "But if we're talking 80s, I'd have to say my favorite is U2. The Joshua Tree is just one of those albums that I can listen to over and over."
"Now you're speaking my language," Sebastian said with a grin. "That album is legendary. 'With or Without You' is probably one of the best songs ever written. And 'Where the Streets Have No Name'-man, I could listen to that on repeat for hours."
Y/n felt her heart skip a beat, thrilled by the easy connection they shared. "You've got good taste, Sebastian."
"I try," he said with a wink. "But really, the 80s were just an amazing time for music. Prince, Madonna, Michael Jackson-those artists shaped an entire generation."
"You're right," Y/n said, thinking back to her own memories of 80s music. "My parents used to play a lot of Bruce Springsteen when I was growing up. 'Born in the U.S.A.' was basically the soundtrack to my childhood."
Sebastian's face lit up with recognition. "Yes! Springsteen is a legend. 'Dancing in the Dark' is still one of my go-to songs when I'm in the gym. It just gets you pumped, you know?"
Y/n laughed, imagining Sebastian working out to Springsteen. "I can totally see that. There's something about his music that just makes you feel alive."
As they continued their conversation Y/n found herself drawn to the way Sebastian could switch from playful to serious in an instant. He shared stories from his time on the set of Marvel movies, talking about the camaraderie among the cast, the intense training for his role as Bucky, and the surreal experience of becoming a part of such a beloved universe.
"But enough about me," Sebastian said after a while, his gaze softening as he looked at her. "I want to know more about you. What got you into photography?"
Y/n hesitated, caught off guard by his genuine interest. "It's kind of a long story," she said, smiling slightly. "But I guess it started when I was a kid. My dad gave me my first camera when I was ten. He was always taking pictures, capturing little moments... I guess I wanted to do the same."
Sebastian listened intently, his blue eyes focused on her with a kind of earnestness that made her feel like the only person in the room. "That's amazing," he said softly. "You're really talented, Y/n. I could tell just by the way you directed the shoot today. You have a real passion for it."
Y/n felt her cheeks warm under his praise. "Thank you," she said, feeling a mix of pride and humility. "It's just... I love telling stories through my photos, you know? Capturing those fleeting moments that people might not notice otherwise."
He nodded, a thoughtful look crossing his face. "That's what I love about acting too. Getting to tell stories, becoming someone else, even if it's just for a little while. But it's also about those moments in between the lines, the things you don't say out loud."
Y/n found herself admiring him even more. He wasn't just charming and funny; he was thoughtful, with a deep appreciation for the art they both loved.
When the pizza arrived, they both dove in, and Sebastian was right-the Margherita Pizza was incredible. They ate and talked, discovering more common ground. They shared the same taste in music, with a mutual love for 80s music. They even had a few favorite books in common.
"Wait, you're a fan of 'The Catcher in the Rye' too?" Y/n asked, surprised.
Sebastian nodded enthusiastically. "Absolutely. It's such a raw, honest look at the world. I read it when I was a teenager, and it just stuck with me, you know? Holden Caulfield... that guy just gets it."
Y/n felt a warmth in her chest, a sense of connection she hadn't expected. "I felt the same way when I first read it. It's one of those books that just makes you feel... understood."
As the night went on, Y/n found herself relaxing more and more, drawn in by Sebastian's humor and sincerity. He had a way of making her feel special, like she was the only person in the world who mattered. Every time he laughed, every time he flashed that grin, she felt her heart flutter just a little bit more.
"So, Y/n," Sebastian said, leaning back in his chair as they finished their meal. "Do you believe in fate?"
Y/n tilted her head, intrigued. "Fate?"
"Yeah," he said, a playful smile tugging at his lips. "Like, do you think it was fate that brought us together today? That somehow, out of all the photographers in New York, you were the one chosen for this shoot?"
Y/n smiled, feeling a spark of excitement at his question. "I don't know... Maybe. Or maybe it was just luck."
Sebastian leaned forward, his gaze intense. "I think it was more than luck. I think... some things are just meant to be."
The way he looked at her, the way his voice softened when he spoke, made Y/n's heart race. She couldn't deny the connection between them, the chemistry that seemed to crackle in the air. And in that moment, she realized that she was falling for him-hard.
"Maybe you're right," she said softly, her eyes locked on his.
For a moment, they just sat there, the noise of the restaurant fading into the background. It was as if the world had shrunk down to just the two of them, sitting at that small table, sharing a moment that felt like the beginning of something special.
Sebastian smiled, his eyes crinkling at the corners in that way that made him look both charming and endearing. "You know, Y/n, I'm really glad I met you today. I haven't had this much fun in a long time."
"Me too," Y/n replied, her voice barely above a whisper. "This has been... really nice."
He reached across the table, taking her hand in his. The touch was gentle, warm, and it sent a thrill through her that she couldn't ignore. "How about we take a walk? There's this great little park nearby. It's my favorite place to just... think."
"I'd like that," Y/n said, feeling a sense of calm wash over her.
They left the restaurant and strolled through the quiet streets of New York, the city lights casting a soft glow around them. As they walked, Sebastian continued to share stories, his humor and wit keeping Y/n smiling and laughing. They talked about everything and nothing- places they wanted to visit, dreams they had for the future.
When they reached the park, they found a bench overlooking a small pond, the water reflecting the twinkling lights from the city. They sat down, the comfortable silence between them only broken by the soft rustle of leaves in the breeze.
Sebastian turned to her, his expression serious but tender. "Y/n, I know we just met, but... I feel like I've known you forever. Like there's this connection between us, you know?"
Y/n nodded, feeling the same way. "I feel it too, Sebastian."
He smiled, his eyes softening as he leaned in closer. "I don't want this night to end. I want to get to know you more, spend more time with you. What do you say we make this the first of many dates?"
Y/n's heart swelled at his words, and she couldn't help but smile. "I'd like that."
Sebastian's grin widened, and without another word, he leaned in and kissed her-a soft, tender kiss that felt like the perfect ending to a perfect night.
When they finally pulled away, Y/n felt a warmth in her chest that seemed to spread through her entire body. She looked into Sebastian's eyes, seeing a mix of tenderness and excitement that mirrored her own emotions.
"I have to admit," she said softly, "this is probably the best first date I've ever been on."
Sebastian chuckled, a low, pleasant sound that made her smile. "I'm glad to hear that. I was kind of worried I might have come on too strong."
Y/n shook her head, still feeling the lingering softness of his kiss on her lips. "Not at all. You've been... well, perfect, honestly."
He grinned, clearly pleased with her response. "I was just being myself. I'm glad it worked out." He paused, looking around the park with a sense of contentment. "This is my favorite spot in the city. I come here when I need to clear my head, especially after long shoots or when things get a little too crazy."
"I can see why you like it here," Y/n said, glancing at the stillness of the pond and the trees swaying gently in the breeze. "It's peaceful. Almost like a little escape from the city."
"Exactly," Sebastian agreed. "Sometimes, when I'm here, I forget that I'm in the middle of one of the busiest cities in the world. It helps me reset, you know? Reminds me of what's important."
Y/n nodded, understanding the need for such a place. "I have my own spots like this, too. It's important to have a place where you can just breathe and be yourself."
Sebastian turned to her, a curious glint in his eye. "Tell me about them. What's your escape?"
Y/n thought for a moment, feeling a smile tug at her lips. "There's this little cafรฉ on the Upper West Side. It's tucked away on a quiet street, and they have the best coffee in the city. I go there when I need to think or just want to get away from everything. The owner knows me by name, and it feels like a second home."
Sebastian smiled warmly. "Sounds like the perfect spot. I'd love to see it sometime."
"You'd like it," Y/n said, imagining him there, fitting in effortlessly with the laid-back vibe of the place. "It's not as glamorous as this park, though."
"Hey, glamor's overrated," he joked, leaning back on the bench. "Give me a good cup of coffee and a quiet place to think any day."
They both laughed, the sound echoing softly in the still night air. Y/n found herself wondering how it was possible that just a few hours ago, she hadn't even known Sebastian personally, and now, it felt like they were already building something meaningful.
Their conversation shifted to movies. Y/n was pleasantly surprised to find out that Sebastian shared her love for 80s cinema as well.
"You're telling me Back to the Future isn't one of the greatest movies ever made?" Sebastian asked, his eyes widening with mock disbelief.
"Are you kidding? It's a masterpiece," Y/n said, laughing. "I've seen it so many times, I practically have it memorized."
"Same here," Sebastian said, his expression softening. "There's just something about that movie... it captures the magic of that decade perfectly."
Y/n felt a warmth spreading through her chest as they continued to bond over their shared interests. She was struck by how easy it was to talk to Sebastian, how natural it felt to be with him. He was funny and charming, yes, but there was also a sincerity to him that she found deeply appealing.
She felt a connection that went beyond mere attraction. It was as if they were two pieces of a puzzle that had finally found their match. The more they talked, the more she realized just how much she admired Sebastian-not just for his talent and looks, but for his genuine personality, his kindness, and the way he made her feel special.
As the night wore on, the city around them began to quiet down, the streets emptying as the late hour approached. Neither of them seemed eager to end the evening, and they stayed on the bench, wrapped up in each other's company.
"Y/n," Sebastian said after a comfortable silence, his voice thoughtful. "I don't want to rush things, but I have a really good feeling about us. This connection we have... it feels different, you know?"
Y/n looked at him, feeling the same sense of certainty that had been growing inside her all night. "I feel it too, Sebastian. I'm really glad we met today."
"Me too," he said, his gaze softening. "I can't wait to see where this goes."
There was a sincerity in his words that made Y/n's heart swell. She could tell that Sebastian wasn't just talking about some fleeting fling; he was serious about wanting to explore whatever was happening between them.
They eventually decided to head back, walking together through the quiet streets of New York. Sebastian kept close to her, his hand brushing against hers as they walked. Finally, he took her hand, intertwining their fingers in a simple gesture that felt incredibly intimate.
When they reached her apartment building, they stopped at the entrance, turning to face each other.
"This is me," Y/n said, feeling a little reluctant to let the night end.
Sebastian smiled, still holding her hand. "I had a really great time tonight, Y/n. Thank you for saying yes."
"I had a great time too," she replied, her voice soft with sincerity.
He leaned in, placing a gentle kiss on her forehead before pulling back slightly. "So... can I see you again? Maybe we can check out that cafรฉ of yours?"
Y/n smiled, her heart fluttering. "I'd love that."
Sebastian grinned, looking relieved and genuinely happy. "Great. I'll call you tomorrow?"
"Tomorrow sounds perfect," she said, squeezing his hand.
They stood there for a moment, neither wanting to be the first to let go. Finally, Sebastian released her hand and took a step back, giving her one last warm smile before turning to leave.
As Y/n watched him walk away, she couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement for what the future might hold. She had no idea where this newfound connection with Sebastian would lead, but she knew one thing for sure: tonight was just the beginning of something truly special.

A Marvelous Surprise
Iโd always thought that my life was pretty perfect. I had everything I could ever want: a supportive family, great friends, and a boyfriend who was not only incredibly talented but also genuinely kind. My boyfriend was none other than Oscar Piastri, the Formula 1 driver who had taken the world by storm. But, as I found out one sunny afternoon at the racetrack, sometimes even the perfect life has a few extraordinary surprises.
The day started like any other Grand Prix day. I was in the pit lane, surrounded by the clamor of engines and the frenetic energy of the race day preparations. Oscar had been busy with the team, and I was making my way through the paddock, trying to stay out of the way but still soaking in every moment of the high-octane atmosphere.
I had my usual race day ritualโcheering for Oscar from the best spot I could find and, if I had a moment, catching up on social media. My love for Marvel was well-known among my friends, and they had teased me about it endlessly. Every interview I did where I gushed about my favorite charactersโBucky Barnes, played by Sebastian Stan, and my all-time favorite actor, James McAvoyโwas met with knowing smiles and playful jabs.
Oscar had heard it all, of course. He was always so patient with my endless Marvel monologues. I had even been lucky enough to attend a few fan events, where my excitement for superheroes could be fully unleashed. But nothing could have prepared me for what was about to happen.
The race was in full swing, and Oscar was driving brilliantly. I was on the edge of my seat, my eyes locked on the track, when my phone buzzed with a new message. I glanced down to see a text from Oscar: โMeet me at the hospitality suite after the race. I have a surprise for you.โ
My heart racedโnot from the thrill of the race, but from the anticipation of Oscarโs surprise. The remainder of the race felt like it dragged on forever. When Oscar finally crossed the finish line, victorious as always, I couldnโt wait to see him.
After the post-race celebrations, I headed to the hospitality suite. The area was relatively quiet, a stark contrast to the chaos of the pit lane. I entered the suite, expecting to find Oscar waiting with a small token of his appreciation or perhaps just a sweet gesture to celebrate his win.
What I saw instead took my breath away.
The suite was filled with the unmistakable aura of Marvelโs finest. There, standing among the elegant furniture and decorations, were some of my absolute favoritesโChris Evans, Sebastian Stan, Elizabeth Olsen, Scarlett Johansson, Robert Downey Jr., James McAvoy, Evan Peters, and Anthony Mackie. They were chatting amongst themselves, their faces lit with amusement as they turned to see me enter.
My jaw dropped. My eyes darted between them, not quite believing what I was seeing. I stumbled into the room, feeling like I was walking through a dream.
Oscar stepped up beside me, his grin as wide as ever. โSurprise, YN!โ he said, his eyes twinkling with mischief and affection. โI know how much you love Marvel and James McAvoy, so I thought Iโd arrange a little meet-and-greet.โ
I couldnโt form words. I just stared, blinking rapidly. Chris Evans noticed and chuckled. โI think we broke her,โ he said, leaning toward the others.
Elizabeth Olsen came over, her smile warm and genuine. โHi, YN! Iโm Elizabeth. Weโve all heard so much about your love for Bucky Barnes. Itโs great to finally meet you!โ
Sebastian Stan, ever the charming Bucky, approached with a wink. โHey there. I see youโre a fan of my alter ego. I have to say, itโs always amazing to meet someone who appreciates Bucky like you do.โ
James McAvoy was next. My heart skipped a beat as he extended his hand. โItโs a pleasure to meet you, YN. Iโve heard youโre quite the fan. Your enthusiasm is contagious.โ
I shook his hand, barely able to contain my excitement. โJames, I canโt believe itโs really you. Youโve been my favorite actor for as long as I can remember.โ
Evan Peters and Anthony Mackie joined in, their smiles infectious. โSo, YN, whatโs it like having Oscar Piastri as your boyfriend?โ Evan asked playfully. โIs he as impressive off the track as he is on it?โ
I laughed, still trying to get my head around everything. โOh, absolutely. Heโs amazing.โ
Scarlett Johansson then stepped forward, her presence commanding. โYN, Iโve heard so much about your passion for the Marvel universe. Itโs wonderful to see such enthusiasm.โ
We spent the next few hours in a whirlwind of conversation, photo ops, and laughter. I felt like I was floating on a cloud. Oscar watched with a knowing smile, clearly enjoying the joy his surprise had brought me.
I chatted with each of them about their roles, my favorite scenes, and even got some behind-the-scenes stories. Chris Evans regaled me with tales from the set of the Captain America films, while Robert Downey Jr. shared funny anecdotes about his time as Iron Man.
When it was time to say goodbye, I was reluctant to leave. I hugged each of them, my heart full of gratitude and happiness. โThank you all so much. This has been a dream come true.โ
As I walked out with Oscar by my side, I felt like I was walking on air. โYou really outdid yourself this time,โ I said, leaning into him.
Oscar kissed my forehead. โIโm glad you enjoyed it. You deserve every bit of happiness.โ
The ride back to our hotel was quiet, filled with comfortable silence and shared smiles. I knew Iโd be reliving every moment of the day in my mind for a long time. The memories would be a cherished part of my life, thanks to Oscar and his incredible surprise.
As I finally settled into bed, I found myself replaying the dayโs events. It felt like I was living in a Marvel movie, where everything came together perfectly in the end. I had my superhero dreams come true, and it was all thanks to the love of my life who knew me better than anyone else.

Told you so...
I've been saying this for a little while now. He's only a couple of roles away from an Oscar.
Sebastian Stan was nominated for two Golden Globes for The Apprentice and A Different Man.
I saw A Different Man a couple of weeks ago, and honestly, he was amazing in the role. He brought a vulnerability to Edward that immediately put me on his side. As it progressed and things unraveled in ways he couldn't have anticipated, he played the second half of the movie with a desperation (the character) and artistry (him) that was truly impressive. I was glued to the film from beginning to end, and believe me, not just anyone could have pulled that off.
I saw The Apprentice this past week (I'm not getting into politics here). Here, Sebastian lost himself in the role, and it took me about 5 minutes to forget who was playing the main character.
The Apprenticeย is controversial, but A Different Man, I couldn't recommend more.
The man is a great actor and he will be getting his flowers some day soon. He's talented, he takes risks on roles, and he approaches the roles (love the characters or hate them) fearlessly.
