I've got two AUs so this depends on which one you mean, they're both equally neglected :')

The first one is my Scorchedclaw AU, in which Firestar is born as a she-cat to Yellowfang and Jake. She is Brokenstar's half-sister but the timeline is pushed a bit back and Brokenstar takes over Shadowclan early, in this AU he doesn't exile Yellowfang but she leaves on her own after she sees what a tyrant he becomes. She seeks refuge in Thunderclan who strips her of her medicine cat rank once she reveals she's carrying kits but lets her stay. Scorched is born in Thunderclan and as far as everyone is aware she's a clan born so she's not as much of an outcast as Firestar was but she is still kind of isolated by some cats. The prophecy is a bit different too and there's actually another besides 'the fire will save our clan' that involves Brokenstar and Scorched. He was Yellowfang's first punishment for breaking the code, her second punishment is the prophecy that one of her kits will end up killing the other.

She wants Scorched to be ready so Tigerclaw becomes her mentor, honestly the whole AU is still kind of underdeveloped.

My second AU is even more underdeveloped. In here everything's the same except Jake had a sister named Maple. She used to be a kittypet like him but like Firepaw she was drawn to the wilderness. Unlike him tho, she never joined a clan so she lived most of her life as a loner, because of that she's very attached to her family and used to frequently visit Jake's kits. Once Firepaw leaves to join Thunderclan both Maple and Nutmeg are concerned about him so Maple goes to look. She finds Thunderclan to make sure that he is alright but Bluestar offers her to join too.

At this point Firepaw is just an apprentice and hasn't done anything noteworthy, he and Maple are similar in appearance so Bluestar starts to wonder if the prophecy could be about her instead of him. Maple is also ginger but she is easily the biggest cat in Thunderclan, maybe in all the clans, because of her Maine coon genes, and with the whole war with Riverclan over sunning rocks going on Bluestar can't waste the opportunity. Maple wants to look after her nephew, especially since he is leading the most dangerous life out of all his siblings so she decides to stay, partially because she also likes the idea of stability that comes along with having a clan.

Maple and Firepaw are the two protagonists of this AU but I'm still thinking of how they'd be interfering with plot. I'm honestly doing this mainly for my own entertainment

Hello Grey! I'm a bit new to your blog but I saw you give out some name advise and I was wondering if you could help me out a bit.

I'm doing an AU where Firepaw is biologically Yellowfang's kit and a she cat. There are a lot of other changes but this is the one that sparked the whole idea. Her name was changed to Scorchedpaw and I'm really struggling when it comes to coming up with a suffix. I usually don't have so much trouble but I don't want her name to stand out more than it already does in a world that is surrounded by mostly traditional names

I was thinking about Scorchedclaw after Tigerclaw who is her mentor (I remember that sometimes apprentices are named after their mentors like Sandstorm) Scorchedtail (Because her tail is mostly gray) or Scorchedbark.

I would really appreciate any advice, pointers or other suffix ideas

Hello there and welcome to the blog! I’m afraid being new puts you at a bit of a disadvantage re: understanding what I do here. While I’m happy to give my thoughts on names, this is a traditional blog and my advice always follows the traditional system way of doing things. If you’d like to learn more about what that is, I can definitely recommend taking a look through the guide-lines, since that explains most of the core tenets of the style. 

In the traditional style this blog uses, prefixes are always for appearance and suffixes exist to recognise a skill or significant personality trait of the cat. Because of this, I’m afraid I don’t think I’m going to be able to provide the kind of feedback you’re looking for. 

The prefix scorched- doesn’t really work within the naming conventions of traditionalism (unless it’s for a name-change name), and the suffixes you’ve suggested either have no meaning in this system (i.e., -bark) or are given for inappropriate reasons (i.e., -claw after a mentor, -tail to , instead of acknowledging a skill or merit of this cat). 

Again, if you’d like to understand more of what this style is and why some people like to use it, you’re very welcome to look around this blog and take whatever you like from the resources! But if this particular style and approach to Warriors naming/world-building isn’t actually interesting to you or isn’t really what you want to use, then I’m sorry but I’m probably not the person to talk to about your story. I wish you luck with it, though!

What would Leafpool and Squirrelflight look like if Scorch and Longtail had them together in that Beastar's AU? They are bound to have a unique look since their mom is a Kangaroo/Bat and their dad is a leopard.

Ayyy sorry I'm replying to this a bit late but it took me a while to draw them

I imagine that Leafpool takes a lot after her father in this AU. She can almost pass as a big cat hybrid which are probably more common than herbivore/carnivore hybrid. Her tail is the only thing that shows her Kangaroo heritage besides the herbivore teeth (ignoring the fangs). Like Scorchedclaw, Yellowfang and Jake she is a herbivore and wants to be a surgeon. She wants to operate on both carnivores and herbivores since she doesn't have any desire to eat meat. Under her armpits is a wing like membrane that is similar to Scorch's own wings but unlike her mother Leafpool can't use them to glide since they are too small.

Squirrelflight on the other hand looks a lot like Scorch if you ignore her build and tail. Unlike Leafpool she is a carnivore who struggled in the past with her urges to eat meat. She never devoured anyone but had a history of hurting herbivores by accident. As she gets older she learns to control herself and holds sessions to help troubled carnivores such as herself. Squirrelflight is also quite athletic, she likes hiking and doing sports.

I tried to make them look like both of their parents while still keep some of the key elements from the books (like Squirrelflight's tail).

For those who are new Scorchedclaw is my AU version of Fireheart and this is a beastars AU of my AU lmao.

Decided to draw Longtail and Scorch in my beastars AU because I have nothing better to do (this is a lie I have like 30 missing assignments)

Longtail really doesn't know when to shut the fuck up which got him punched. He is like a full meter taller than Scorch but in this AU she is the organizer of the boxing club and the national champion so she can beat his ass anytime.

Anyway made some fanart of the "let's go" Rustpaw AU by Maltose cat on youtube. The au is actually pretty interesting and I like the idea of exploring literally any clan other than Thunderclan

Here I am again with some new bs

This is a scene that will happen a bit later on but I decided to keep the original fight with Longtail. Since Scorchedpaw is clan born in this AU (Her father is still Jake but nobody knows that) most cats in Thunderclan don't really have a problem with her, they eventually even warmed up to Yellowfang.

There is just a few cats who dislike her based on her lineage alone, those cats are Darkstripe, Longtail (he doesn't care that Yellowfang is from ShadowClan, he dislikes her for other reasons and by extend disliked Scorchedpaw) Patchpelt and Smallear.

When Scorchedpaw becomes an apprentice she gets Tigerclaw as her mentor, he is pretty open minded to training her as she was born in ThunderClan but he is still very harsh like he was with Ravenpaw. He grew to dislike her because she was very hard to handle and pathetic at hunting, he was trying to make her less of a "disgrace" but the more he pushed her the more she pushed back.

Longtail saw this as an excuse to mock her like he mocked Firepaw in canon and she reacted like Firepaw did. (So basically they had a brawl in the middle of the camp) Tigerclaw was pleasantly surprised that Scorchedpaw was able to hold her own against a fully (although young) trained warrior despite having no prior battle training and after everything settled (with both her and Longtail being punished) he began to teach her battle moves.

Turns out Scorchedpaw responded much better to encouragement and had a real knack for battle training which made Tigerclaw more eager to train her.

Longtail still gets that nick in his ear, he's also a very salty bitch

Autumn

Brokentail and Scorchedclaw aren't exactly friends but they are some type of companions. After he lost his sight, he began to heavily rely on Scorchedclaw who was oftenly assigned as his guard. Sometimes when they're both in a good mood they lay together and Scorchedclaw describes their surrounds to him while he would listen in silence

Also if you didn't notice, I decided to add a gray patch to adult Scorch, as she ages more and more of her fur will begin to take that grayish tone.

There is like 13 fully coloured drawings in this which absolutely destroyed my hand

Our girl Scorched gets really easily attached and had a lot of crushes over the time lmao. I wish I could add more she cats in this but these were the only characters I could think of that were not that much older than Scorched and interesting

I think I was pretty obvious about shipping Longfire even if I never said it outright lmao so here's a shipping template for Scorch and Longtail

Idk if they will be an endgame in my AU but I definitely appreciate the dynamic

For anyone who's new, Scorchedclaw is my version of Fireheart who's mother is Yellowfang

I head canon that Longtail is one of the tallest people in Thunderclan, at least in the Human AU. He is a lanky bitch tho so it doesn't really make him intimidating. There are a few characters taller than him, like Tigerclaw (226 cm) and Lionheart (208 cm)

For people worried about the age gap they have in canon and in the series- y'all should chill a bit.

A) they're cats who are adults when they're 1 year old

B) When Firepaw joined Longtail was a new warrior so he is probably just a few months older (considering that apprentices usually become warriors when they're around a year old and Firepaw is 6 months old at the start of the series) as long as people don't ship them while Fireheart is an apprentice I don't see a problem

C) Age gap relationships are canon and they're everywhere, Goldenflower and Tigerclaw. Ferncloud and Dustpelt, Thornclaw and Blossomfall, so honestly as long as they're both warriors/adults I couldn't care less

D) I love me some enemies to lovers

Brokentail and Scorchedclaw have a complicated relationship, on one hand they dislike each other purely on the basis of morals but they also have a strange almost-friendship going on. Scorchedclaw is oftenly assigned as his guard when she doesn't have any other duties, mainly because he behaves around her. Unlike most of his guards she never picked on him and even helped him get around which is why he causes less trouble for her. Scorchedclaw doesn't like him in the least but feels a certain guilt and a sense of responsibility (after all they're half siblings, even if he doesn't know it)

They end up creating some kind of bond, not as friends or siblings but as companions which will be explored in this short comic I'm making
