This season of Only Murders in the Building has got to be the saddest one, and I realize now that not only is that because it revolves around the death of someone we as the audience know and love, but because it's the first time an honestly kind and warm character died.

She wasn't cold like Tim Kono, hateful like Bunny, or self-centered like Ben Glenroy. Sazz was nice and cool and a friend who genuinely cares about the trio. She also supported Charles in his endeavors, and she had dreams of helping other kids realize their dreams too by building that trampoline park.

This season hurts, bro. I nearly cried a couple of times. Like, it's a whole season of exploring what it's like to lose an innocent person to murder.

I see people talk about wanting more platonic male-female friendships and honestly that’s just another thing Only Murders In The Building does right. Of course there’s Mabel and her guys. A multigenerational friendship we don’t get to see that often.

But I was actually thinking about Sazz and Charles’ friendship when I started this post. They’re best friends, they’re family, they compliment each other as actor and stunt double. I just really like their relationship. She’s a lesbian. She stole his ex. She helped him make friends. He gave her a shot when no one else would.

It’s so important.

Interesting how they made us think Charles was the original intended target in this season, plus misleading us with the mystery killer, only then to reveal that the actual killer did intended to kill Sazz this whole time, that Sazz had always been the original target from the start. That this time she didn't actually took a hit for Charles, she just took a hit.

the reason that charles is written to be such a good person in the movie script being that sazz wrote it and wanted to honor her “number one” is as adorable as it is heartbreaking, but it also does kind of beg the question of what the fuck sazz’ problem with oliver was.

I don’t know if any of the showrunners actually scroll through tumblr, but if so—THANK YOU!!! Thank you for including Will and Dickie and Winnie in the wedding scene. Even if it was only 30 seconds, it was so important for them to be there.

And the scene with Charles and Sazz made me cry. He needs to spend his money from the movie rights to build her trampoline park.

OMITB s4 finale hit me like a goddamn freight train with the final parts of Sazz's story. As someone who also wants to write something, for her end to be just about that and to be in dedication for someone she loved SO DEARLY is like the ultimate stab to the heart. It was FOR CHARLES IT WAS ALWAYS FOR HIM... ITS ALWAYS BEEN ABOUT HOW MUCH HE MEANT TO HER NO MATTER WHAT BAD BLOOD THEY HAD... SHE CARED SO MUCH AND WANTED TO PUT HIM, THE PERSON, NOT BRAZZOS, AS THE STAR BECAUSE SHE LOVED HIM SO MUCH...
