In the collection "Biographical and genealogical research on Francis J. Kinloch" from the South Carolina Historical Society archives, there was an 8-page mini biography of Francis Kinloch written by his granddaughter Sarah Lewis Lesesne (née Simons). Sarah was the daughter of Franics's daughter Anne Cleland Kinloch, who married Colonel Keating Lewis Simons. Included in this biography is a physical description of Francis Kinloch.
He is described as "tall & slender with delicate features, black hair & eyes, and a most agreeable expression of countenance." He also had "brilliant powers of conversation" and "was very fond of raillery."

Those in italics have five or more pieces of usable visual, written, or audio propaganda already. If you have any visuals like photos or videos, or if you have something to say in words, submit it to this blog before round one begins on June 25th!
If you don't see a name you submitted here, it's because most or all of their career was as a child/they were too young for the cutoff, their career was almost entirely after 1979, or music was something they only dabbled in and are hardly known for. There are quite a few ladies on the list whose primary career wasn't "recording artist" or "live musician," but released several albums or were in musical theater, so they've been accepted.

David as Benedick in Much Ado About Nothing (the first time he did it, that is!)
David Tennant fans are aware of 2011's brilliant Much Ado About Nothing, in which DT starred as Benedick, alongside Catherine Tate as Beatrice. Filmed at the Wyndham's Theatre in London and directed by Josie Rourke, the production was recorded and offered on Digital Theatre.
But did you know David had played Benedick before?
Yep - he sure has!
It was in 2001, a full decade before his production with Catherine.
Beginning in 1999, BBC Radio 3 launched Shakespeare For The Millennium, an ambitious project to dramatize seventeen Shakespeare productions in four years.
The project was done in collaboration with BBC Worldwide, which emphasized it wanted to take a contemporary, innovative approach to the Bard. It launched on 12 September 1999 with a Shakespeare discussion panel, and a new production of Hamlet -- starring none other than Michael Sheen as the Dane!

On 23 September 2001, BBC Radio 3 broadcast a new production of Much Ado About Nothing as the Sunday Play, with David in the lead role as Benedick and Samantha Spiro as Beatrice. Adapted by Sally Avens, it featured an introduction (as had all the previous productions in the Shakespeare For The Millennium series) by Richard Eyre, the former Director of the Royal National Theatre.
The production also starred a few other recognizable names. There was Chiwetel Ejiofor as Claudio, Emilia Fox as Hero, David Swift as Leonato, Julian Rhind-Tutt as Don John, and David Haig as Dogberry.
All original music was composed and performed by Simon Oakes and Adam Wolters.

Here's a review of the prodcuction!

Much Ado About Nothing was commercially released by BBC Worldwide as part of the BBC Radio collection series in 2001.
The sleeve notes of cassettes and CDs of the production include a scene-by-scene synopsis, a full character analysis, and an essay on interpretation from the director Sally Avens.

Almost four years later, in November 2005, BBC One broadcast a television series called ShakespeaRe-Told, a set of four adaptations of Shakespeare's plays. Each play was adapted by a different writer, and all were relocated to the present day.
The first to be broadcast - on 7 November 2005 - was a modern-day version of Much Ado About Nothing starring Sarah Parrish and Damien Lewis...and Billie Piper and Nina Sosanya and Olivia Colman!
You can watch it here:

Six days after this television broadcast - on 13 November 2005 at 7:15 pm - BBC Radio 3 re-broadcast the audio version starring David and Samantha in its 'Drama On 3' slot.

Fast forward to August 2020.
The BBC released a set of four BBC Radio Shakespeare collections: Histories, Comedies, Tragedies, and Roman Plays. Much Ado About Nothing was included in the collection of Comedies, and became available as an Audible digital download.

If you want to listen, you can find this collection a lot of places. It might be at your local library or on Overdrive, on Google Play, or as an Amazon Audible book.
Or, ya know, just go here:

Longtime crowd favorites (streamed at least three times) are marked with a single asterisk.
Why isn’t [specific actor/video] on this list?
The video is currently marked not for trade.
We haven’t gotten to it yet.

There's something particularly off-putting about the video or actor.
How can I get a copy of a video listed here?
There's a list of publicly available bootlegs here, and there are many other adaptations on the Phantom Retrospective channel. Otherwise, contact @glassprism (or another trader) for a possible trade, or check her website for info on which master(s) to contact.
For general stream info, please see the Saturday Streams FAQ.
On to the list!

”Oh, you like Taocc? Name every character.”
BET.
edit: I added the vague number of total characters listed. We’re at about 270, and I’m still adding characters.
(*By technicality
**formerly/no longer active/no longer acknowledged by the narrative as existing
***exist as of like ten seconds ago
I will only be including characters recognized as part of Taocc by more than one person. Characters will be vaguely grouped together however the frick I feel like and with only the vague suggestion of transitions. A character must have a tangible role that still has effects at the time of posting to be counted. I’m not counting all the deactivated characters from OG Taocc, for example. For a while I've been trying to find more substantial information regarding Kinloch saving Lord North's son from drowning and how it affected his relationship with the North family and his stance on the revolution. Most sources that mention it give little detail beyond the fact that Kinloch saved Lord North's son. Greg Massey told me that this event supposedly played a role in Kinloch returning to America and fighting on the side of the colonies because his act of heroism didn't garner him any special favors.
As previously mentioned, the collection "Biographical and genealogical research on Francis J. Kinloch" from the South Carolina Historical Society archives includes an 8-page biography of Kinloch written by his granddaughter Sarah Lewis Lesesne (née Simons). It mentions that Kinloch was classmates with Lord North's son at Eton. While bathing in a river, Kinloch saved the son's life. The name of the son is not given, but based on birth years, I would guess it was George. The biography notes that "Lord North was very unwilling that he should leave England he would like to have him able to confer some benefit on him." Lord North then gifted Kinloch with "a Copy of Lord Bacon's works, a silver Inkstand & a Gold snuff box each with an inscription." Kinloch later mentioned the inkstand in a letter to Thomas Boone.
I do still need to access the Kinloch-Müller letters which reportedly document his anger about being slighted by Lord North and his decision to return to America. In the meantime, I was excited to find a little more information (directly from the Kinloch family) about this event.

CORTE DA FORTUNA: A nossa Rainha!!
OCUPADO
COVEN OF THE WHISPERING WOODS: Um bruxo que foi amaldiçoado.

And here it is!!!
“Bridgerton” star Simone Ashley has joined the cast of “F1,” the Formula 1 racing movie starring Brad Pitt.
The movie follows Pitt as Sonny Hayes, a former Formula 1 driver who returns to the sport and partners with and mentors rookie Joshua Pearce (Damson Idris) on APXGP, a fictional 11th team on the grid.
Eagle-eyed fans spotted Ashley with Idris over the weekend at the British Grand Prix at Silverstone Circuit in Northampton, England, where filming continued on the project. Kerry Condon, Javier Bardem, Tobias Menzies, Sarah Niles and Samson Kayo round out the cast for the film, which is being shot during actual Grand Prix weekends as the fictional team competes against the titans of the sport. Details of Ashley’s role are being kept under wraps. The first teaser for “F1” was released Sunday in conjunction with the race, which the film’s co-producer, seven-time Formula 1 world champion Lewis Hamilton, won.
Directed by “Top Gun: Maverick” helmer Joseph Kosinski, “F1” is produced by Jerry Bruckheimer and Chad Oman (for Jerry Bruckheimer Films); Pitt, Dede Gardner and Jeremy Kleiner (for Plan B Entertainment); and Hamilton (for Dawn Apollo Films). The Apple Studios movie is made in collaboration with Formula 1. Ehren Kruger, who worked with Kosinski on “Top Gun: Maverick,” wrote the screenplay. Copper CEO Penni Thow serves as executive producer.

9 Books
thanks for the tag @aristocratic-otterA! I'm so behind on these posts! I love talking about the books I love so I had to do this one first!
series will be a single entry!
My favorite books, in no particular order:
The Lord of the Rings by JRR Tolkien. One of the first long fantasy books I ever read. My copies have accompanied me to university and through every move. Life changing. My entry into fandom. A constant since childhood.
The Simon Snow Series by Rainbow Rowell. Another life changing set of books. I can't tell you how much Simon and Baz mean to me.
The Silmarillion by JRR Tolkien. Yes, another Tolkien book. One I read for the first time at 11 but didn't truly appreciate until decades later.
In Other Lands by Sarah Rees Brennan. Fantasy. Modern times. Snarky main characters. Sign me up.
Boyfriend Material by Alexis Hall. The book that got me out of my 2020 pandemic reading slump, for which I am eternally grateful. Oliver and Luc forever.
The Chronicles of Narnia by CS Lewis.
The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams.
The Lions of Al-Rassan by Guy Gavriel Kay
A Room with a View by EM Forster.
Bonus recs: Anything by Lex Croucher. Anything by Alexis Hall. Rick Riordan's Percy Jackson/Heroes of Olympus Trials of Apollo books. Gaiman and Pratchett's Good Omens.
So tagging 9 people: apologies if you've been tagged already, I'm weeks behind on this.
