I found the Holy Mary statue I bought for La Santissima (she wanted it) a year ago. I repainted it because I told Her I that it would've been Her idol. Never finished it. Today I picked it up while cleaning my room and I felt the same embarrassment as that time my poor grandmother said I should've visit her more. I never dismantled Her altar, but I stopped making offerings, and every time I look at it I feel Her smiling and saying "Why did you stop visiting me, child?". And it's weird, because I'm not Catholic and I ritually renounced the Man In The Sky and his blessings. But She's here, somehow. Still waiting.

ROMA. Iglesia de la Santísima Trinidad de los Peregrinos. La Santísima Trinidad. Guido Reni. Óleo sobre lienzo. (1625) La mayor joya de esta iglesia y, que sólo por ella merece la visita, es el lienzo que preside el altar mayor, La Santísima Trinidad, obra de Guido Reni (1575-1642), encargada por el cardenal Ludovico Ludovisi en 1625. Reni es uno de los máximos representantes del llamado barroco clasicista, que buscaban una fórmula de compromiso entre la teatralidad típica del barroco con algunas ideas del Alto Renacimiento. Pretendían imitar la armonía formal en las composiciones y exquisitez de los tipos de Rafael Sanzio, las anatomías hercúleas de Miguel Ángel y el colorido de los pintores venecianos, especialmente, del Veronés. Guido Reni, después de una primera etapa de fuerte influencia de Caravaggio con el acentuado contraste de luces y sombras, pasó a una pintura basada en la claridad del dibujo, en unas composiciones con movimiento pero con escasa perspectiva y en la idealización de las figuras, de lo que es ejemplo supremo la obra que nos ocupa. En este lienzo espectacular, una de sus obras maestras, Reni presenta a Dios Padre como un venerable anciano vestido de pontifical con alba blanca y capa pluvial dorada. Entre sus brazos abiertos aparece el Espíritu Santo en forma de paloma. Más abajo, dos querubines sostienen a Dios Hijo, Jesucristo, muerto en la cruz que está clavada en la esfera terrestre, significando que, por esta muerte, vino la salvación de toda la Humanidad. A Cristo crucificado lo flanquean dos arcángeles arrodillados que adoran, tanto el misterio de la Redención, como la Santísima Trinidad. On Death Cult

I think there’s a misconception between those who follow a more “mainstream” branch of the vast and mysterious Death Cult.

I saw a lot of people approaching this path as an excuse to dress like cosplayers, with bones, feathers and fake skulls made out of resin. Some people approach a Death Cult as an excuse to say that their path is the best because their Gods are the ones who need true worship. They treat Them as special babies in need of special attention, judging every other practitioner from their high seat (and boy, this shit happens in less “dark” paths too). Someone decides to worship Death because chaotic forces are cool and they want to attract Chaos in their lives. Obviously, they have no idea what it means.

I think these people are missing the point of what it means to be a Death Cultist. If you decide to start this path, or if you're forced by the Gods to walk this road, there's one thing you need to understand. The whole point in worshipping Death is Death Itself. When you present yourself in front of Death saying "I'm ready to follow you", you're accepting whatever consequence will come. Working with the Holy Powers aligns your soul with Them, and your life will become part of Their Will. If you decide to work with Death, you'll experience Death.

This doesn't mean that you'll die soon or that you'll lose everyone you love. Something will change in your life, like it or not. You may experience loss, depression, sadness. You may feel lost, detached from this world, not centered. Something may dismember you, mentally or spiritually. You may need to reconsider your whole life, belief, ideas. You may feel that something is rotting inside of you, and you're right. You're dying.

When you experience this, when you accept this, it's time for you to start blooming again. Stitch together what remains of yourself after the process, learn to see the world with your new eyes. Act accordingly with your new nature. It will be hard, but you'll understand Death and Its many faces. If you do it right, you'll be able to shine in a new light and I can assure you, everyone will notice. It won't necessarily be pleasant, though. People will start telling you that you've changed, that there's something different in you. But you need to be true to yourself. If you start listening to those who say "You're not the same anymore", you'll fall.

I still have to find Death Cultists who haven't experienced this. It's not easy, for anyone. Following Death means sacrifice, blood, and tears. To follow Death is to follow what society wants to hide. It's a daily exercise about reflecting upon your own death.

If you want to worship Death, you need to ask yourself "Why?". Why do you want to destroy yourself to allow the Higher Powers to build you from scratch? Why do you want to lose your mind to be able to see what lies on the other side? Why do you want to be something the world hates but needs the most?

Answer this and you'll know if you're ready to walk this path. Be wary and respectful.

Un lugar lleno de monumentos naturales bellísimos, con tantas historias que no podíamos dejar de visitar, ubicado a unos 170km desde Roma, con unas 2 horas aproximadamente en auto.

El lugar preferido por los antiguos romanos para sus vacaciones, vale mencionar que por cuarto año consecutivo a conseguido la Bandera azul que significa que sus playas son de agua nítida, y que están cumpliendo con ciertas instalaciones y condiciones ambientales, siendo un estándar mundial de eco-calidad turística. Son 10 kilómetros de playa que van desde sperlonga hasta la montaña partida o montagna spaccata en el monte orlando donde está esta pequeña ciudad.

Grandes atractivos turísticos que tiene la ciudad, ademas de vistas que no se pueden perder.

Bellísimas iglesias que en nuestro caso pudimos conocer el edifico por fuera ya que los horarios son algo inusuales, en este caso se abrían a las 17h00 al público.

Una de ellas es la iglesia de San Giacomo que fue construida entres 1517 y 1605.

La iglesia de la SS Trinidad que también es llamado Santuario de la montagna spaccata, está sobre el monte orlando, construida en el siglo XI. Construida en un lugar inusual rodeada de grandes bellezas naturales.

Junto a ella está el recorrido al abierto del Viacrucis, visitado por miles peregrinos y creyentes, ingresando  a la montagna spaccata y para acceder a la capilla de la crucifixión, que fue construida en el siglo XIV en medio de una roca que cayó y se fijó en medio de la grieta central; esta montaña que según cuenta la leyenda se dividió en dos al momento de la muerte de Cristo el viernes santo; para llegar a ella se bajan algunos escalones y  se puede ver al lado derecho la huella de la Mano del Turco que fue  dejada por quien fue un marinero turco incrédulo de lo que ocurrió en aquella montaña y al apoyar la mano la roca se hizo muy suave dejando así su huella.

VIACRUCIS

La bellísima Grotta del turco,  se ingresa pasando frente a la iglesia de la y SS Trinidad caminando a la izquierda, se bajan algunos escalones para poder observar un bellísimo color azul del mar Tirreno.

La Chiesa di San Francesco d’Assisi bellissima se le ve a lo lejos, muy imponente la silueta gótica cuando te acercas y disfrutas de cada detalle. En 1222 el Santo Francisco fundo una pequeña iglesia en una de las laderas del monte Orlando, sufrió varios daños como por ejemplo durante la segunda guerra mundial el daño de su fachada externa por causa de una bomba, sufriendo algunas restauraciones a lo largo de todos sus años siendo la ultima muy reciente entre 2004 y 2008. La fachada con un gran portal de mármol, con estatuas de Carlos II de Anjou y Fernando II de Borbón ( quienes financiaron la construcción de esta iglesia ). También se observan 5 estatuas que representan respectivamente a San Bernardo, San Ambrosio, San Francisco, San Agustín y San Tomás de Aquino.

El Santuario della Santissima Annunziata, lamentablemente también estaba cerrada y solo pudimos disfrutar de su fachada e intentar imaginar lo que adentro hubiera podido encontrar. Tiene una capilla de oro o Capilla de la Concepción, con 19 lienzos que representan escenas de la vida de Jesús y María; al Papa Pio IX le encantaba rezar en esta  capilla y es donde se inspiró en la creación del Dogma de la Inmaculada Concepción.

Catedral de los Santos Erasmo y Mauricio y de Santa María Asunta, fue construida donde antiguamente estaba una primera iglesia y que se derrumbo luego de un terrible terremoto en el año 1231. Se puede ver el campanario del siglo XII que esta detrás de la iglesia donde estaba la entrada de la primera iglesia. La estatua de la Inmaculada que se encuentra en la parte superior de la fachada es de hierro fundido.

Y muchísimas otras iglesias que se nos quedaron pendientes pero en vista del horario quedaron para otras visitas, esperando poder entrar a todas estas que quedaron pendientes.

Gaeta un lugar magico no solo por sus playas, por los monumentos, el puerto y su gente, los escalones y las calles pequeñas que nos permite caminar por el centro, subir y bajar por todas las iglesias, y sus calles especiales buscando los diferentes lugares para tomar fotos en mi mente y recordar cada vista.

Sin lugar a duda alguna, Gaeta un lugar inolvidable que deben  visitar.
