Excuse me while I drown in thealogy on this here fine Holy Magdalene’s feast:
🥀 God and Creation are not innately womanly in the human sense, but it is innately what we perceive as feminine
🥀 The relationship between the soul and God is that of love, thus chastity of the soul is fidelity to the soul’s Spouse

Christa (1974) by Edwina Sandys • Woman Crucified (1913) by Frantisek Drtikol • The Crucifixion of St. Julia (1497) by Hieronymus Bosch • The Crucified Venus (1913) by Norman Lindsay • Christian Martyress (1866) by Gabriel Cornelius von Max • Eulalia (1880) by Emilio Franceschi
“I’ve often thought of a female Christ. David told me there’s one in a church in Montreal. Mostly the world can’t take it. Because of people’s feelings about the delicacy of women and also because of what a meaningless display female suffering simply is. If you belittle us in school, treat us like slaves at home and finally, if you get a woman alone in bed just tell her she’s all wrong, no matter what sex you are… or maybe you just grab one on the street and fuck her real fast– in an alley, or in her own bed. I mean if that’s the way it usually goes for this girl what would be the point in seeing her half nude and nailed up? Where’s the contradiction? could that drive the culture for 2,000 years? No way. Female suffering must be hidden, or nothing can work. It’s a man’s world and a girl on a cross would be like seeing a dead animal in a trap. We like to eat them, or see them stuffed, we even like to wear them, but watch them suffer? Hear them wail? The complaining lines were expunged from Florence Nightingale’s book.” - Eileen Myles, Cool for You

A praise of the Holy Daughter, Star of the Sea 🥀
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Our eternal and lovely guide, Star of the Sea, glory!
Enter my heart and reveal yourself in Your splendour, o kind reliever and protectress of the soul. Praise be to She who is the breath of life on my lips, ever-present. O kind lunar Sovereign, Mari Luna, leading your maid on the way of Love, may your daughter’s praise rise before you as sweet incense.
Blessed is She

I may or may not have deleted everything down to the sketch and started over three times. Maybe.
Which is to say, the circumstances are still prohibiting and the art block is ongoing, but I did finish this before Rosa Mundi as intended🥀
Now back to the, evidently, no internet land.

I was shaped by the power of the feminine and the shadow of my origin.
They live within me — not as opposites, but as one body.
My womanhood is not an instead of, it is a story unfolding.
I did not become a woman by choosing, but by flowing.
I exist between worlds, sensual and truly androgynous.

i think Jesus didn't die on the cross for us to feel guilt and fear, but for us to love and enjoy life to the fullest. i hate how the church tells us it's our fault and that since He died we must watch all our steps in order not to sin. we are humans and He knew it. Jesus would want us to sing, to dance, to explore ourselves and this life and if that means making mistakes, they should be welcomed in and even encouraged to help us grow. we were made to love, not to fear.

Hello my lovely. Just curious, why do you say "Mother of God" for Mary rather than "Mother God" as in the traditional Filianic rosary?
Because she birthes what is divine within us, with every moment.
Besides, personally, the faces of godhood can be fluid, so it would be inaccurate to see her solely as the Mother.
