(I basically ripped off an annunciation I saw in Urbino) (yes that green stuff is supposed to be wildfire, it looks like a bunch of plants).

12 Days of SanSan Event

Welcome all to the 12 Days of SanSan Winter Event! Above, please find the 12 Days of SanSan 2024-2025 Daily Prompts!

Rules & Participating:

Every one who signs up will have the opportunity to select the prompts they are most interested in and be assigned a prompt no later than November 24. Prompts may be fic, poetry, art, comics, whatever you want! Please put forth the effort you need to to make this product something you are proud of and something that our little fandom can enjoy.

Both SFW and NSFW prompt fills are allowed and welcomed. Prompt fills can be posted in discord, on twitter, bluesky, or tumblr, but should ALSO be posted on AO3. (Collection link will be posted soon.)

If your fill involves NSFW elements, especially any content that would warrant a warning on AO3, we ask that you tag appropriately as a matter of courtesy.

One prompt fill will be posted a day, beginning on 25 December 2024 and ending on 5 January 2025. The specific day that your fill is due will depend on the prompt; for instance, 'Sleighride' will be due on 25 December, and 'Singing & Hymns' will be due on 4 January. A calendar with creators, prompts, and due dates will be posted no later than November 25. If necessary due to other obligations, you may post one to two days in advance. We ask that you do your best to post on time to keep the fills coming and the season bright.

Prompts that include '&' do not need to hit both! For instance, if you get prompt 5 "hot Drinks & Mulling Spices," you do not need to include the spices, as long as you include hot drinks! (And vice-versa!)

You may sign up to fill more than one prompt! Folks who are working to fill multiple prompts will be given first consideration when assigning prompts as a sign of gratitude.

The "Sansa reminds Sandor of his sister" motive that some people try to hitch to his character really just flies in the face of his actual attachments to her, doesn't it? Sansa reminds Sandor of himself. He sees the little boy who used to love knights in this girl who's been swept up by the same romanticism. He sees his abuser in her abusers, the much larger knight(s) beating on the helpless child. He sees how she is betrayed by every level of authority that should have saved her and remembers his father's neglect and Tywin and Robert's apathy for Gregor's crimes. He's protective of Sansa because he was Sansa.

And GRRM's design, that one of the strongest warriors in the series, a fearsome and cynical 6'8" guy who's "muscled like a bull" and has the face of death itself, sees himself in this soft and effeminate teen girl, and empathizes with her because he was an abuse victim too, is INFINITELY more compelling than "Oh yeah I bet she just reminds him of his sister," who he's never mentioned and who we know literally nothing about. Way to unnecessarily water down a character, you couldn't have ignored the black and white text more efficiently if you tried.
