Today's the first day of spring and I thought a drawing of Princess Mononoke would be a perfect fit for this day! Also, I never ever want to draw a wolf again... or fur.

Lady Eboshi is so cool because sooooo many people would write that type of character as a man and the fact she's a woman is just. A detail about her, it's not treated as unusual by the narrative at all

the more he thinks about it, the more stressed out he's getting! what a legacy, what a mess that his parents made! but, mabosstiff is there to comfort him- mabosstiff was always there, even when there was no one else- i'll be okay, he whispers into the boss pokemon's fur (and the warmth is comforting, isn't it. he has a feeling that the only warmth he'll be met with soon will be artificial). he gets a soft woof from mabosstiff in return. i've been there before. i'm not the kid who died down there. i'm not even the person i was when i went back ...

but the mystery still looms over him. last time he went, his body ... he changed. he was a livewire then- ready to burst from the energy and the stress and the memories- and it turned out that he hadn't been human in a long time. how many nights since had he pondered his own existence? no one else had noticed the difference... he had a pulse still, he could eat and cry and bleed-

what would change this time? would anything change? did he want anything to change? too many questions. it's too much to think of all at once. so he breathes, buries his face further in mabosstiff's fur- it will be okay. he'll keep telling himself this, and maybe it will be true.
