Don't forget, Jill's book is out next week! I don't really want to give them my money - still mad about the whole family ministry fiasco - but if the library doesn't get a copy in, guess I'm gonna. I wonder why she chose to use the name Duggar instead of Dillard? I guess for easier recognition but I would've thought she'd do a hyphenate or something. But I hope that means somehow that Derick's involvement in the book is minimal. I would hope he knows that on one's THAT interested in HIS experiences with the Duggars, but Derick sure does love himself, so I guess we'll see.

Wow, the Duggar genes are STRONG in Samuel. He looks so much like Jed, but also Josiah and most of the other littler boys. If you threw him in the middle of the crew during 14 Children, he'd blend right in.

Someone’s Looking for Revenge

The way Robyn Dixon continues to talk about Chris Bassett is the reason why Candiace Dillard Bassett thinks she and Gizelle Bryant are plotting against her.

It’s easy to call Candiace paranoid, especially after she claimed that Gizelle’s support in season 5 wasn’t genuine.

She said it had more to do with Gizelle’s hatred for Monique Samuels than her love for Candiace. She admitted that she was very distrusting of Gizelle.

She knows that the OGs are plotting before every season because she was a part of those conversations in the past. Are they plotting against her?

Candiace did however cry when Gizelle cried and talked about her father who passed away.

Andy Cohen wanted the group to acknowledge that there might still be feelings there, implying that there might be hope for them.

He started the reunion with the intention for the women to take accountability and move forward.

It doesn’t seem like Gizelle and Robyn are fully on board with that.

I will agree with Gizelle on some points at this reunion, though.

The way Candiace and Wendy Osefo acted when she learned about Gizelle’s father, was insensitive.

Wendy claimed that Gizelle had mocked her mother while she had her surgery.

But no one knew that Wendy’s mother had her surgery, and frankly, it seemed like a deflection at the time since Nneka Ihim was talking about the shrine.

When they talked about the timeline with the issues between Candiace and Robyn, it became apparent that Robyn was furious after the reunion last year.

She claimed that Candiace had accused her of being a colorist, even if the whole conversation started with Candiace declaring that she didn’t think any of the women were colorists.

Robyn already had an issue with Candiace before the Juan Dixon situation erupted.

And when Candiace was seemingly asking for Robyn to get fired, she was done.

When Robyn talked about the woman who changed her story every five minutes with a smirk on her face, it hit me that Robyn is after hurting Candiace.

Maybe Candiace has a good reason to be paranoid.

Dr. George Theophilus Walker (June 27, 1922 – August 23, 2018) was a composer, pianist, and organist, who was the first African American to have won the Pulitzer Prize for Music. He received the Pulitzer for his work Lilacs.

He was first exposed to music at the age of five when he began to play the piano. He was admitted to the Oberlin Conservatory at 14 and to the Curtis Institute of Music to study piano with Rudolf Serkin, chamber music with William Primrose and Gregor Piatigorsky, and composition with Rosario Scalero, teacher of Samuel Barber. He received his doctorate from the Eastman School of Music. He taught at Rutgers University in New Jersey for several years.

He taught at Dillard University in New Orleans for one year before entering the Doctor of Musical Arts Degree Program at the Eastman School of Music. He became the first Black recipient of a Ph.D. from that institution as well as an Artist Diploma in Piano. He was awarded both a Fulbright Fellowship and a John Hay Whitney Fellowship. He was the first composer to receive the Whitney Award. He embarked upon another tour, playing concerts in France, Holland, and Italy. After a recital in London in Wigmore Hall that was sponsored by Mrs. Efrem Zimbalist, he received an honorary membership in the Frederic Chopin Society there.

His first major orchestral work was The Address for Orchestra. His Lyric for Strings is his most performed orchestral work. He composed many works including five sonatas for piano, a mass, a cantata, many songs, choral works, organ pieces, sonatas for cello and piano, violin and piano and viola and piano, a brass quintet, and a woodwind quintet. He published over 90 works and received commissions from the New York Philharmonic, Boston Symphony, Cleveland Orchestra, Philadelphia Orchestra, and many other ensembles. He was the recipient of six honorary doctoral degrees.

“The Real Housewives of Potomac” Fans Accuse Franchise Of Colorism Following Latest Episode [Video]

If you were tuned in to The Real Housewives of Potomac’s latest episode, “Beef is Served,” then you would know there is a huge uproar on social media right now, accusing the show of colorism, calling out housewives, and trying to figure out what just happened.

Last night’s episode saw a repeat in the DC area from season 5– violence. However, the “green-eyed” bandits, Gizelle and Robyn, had different opinions from six years ago in which they actually supported the violence and encouraged Wendy Osefo to fight all simply because the housewife read both of them for filth during her sophomore season. Now, the audience sees Gizelle Bryant and Robyn Dixon actually “antagonizing” Wendy, including Mia Thorton.

It all started when Mia cornered RHOA’s alum, Peter Thomas, about his “beef” with Wendy in a deal where he was waiting on Wendy to get back to him. When in actuality, Wendy showed the receipts, she was waiting on a response from Peter about when she could see the site of the location. Either way, the episode is filled with Mia gaslighting Wendy the whole dinner, in which Mia decides to bring up the drama with Peter at the table. Wendy wasn’t having it and checked Mia real quick, saying, “I don’t have beef with men,” which set the whole argument off.

Not only did Mia throw a drink at Wendy, but she attempted to hit her with her purse and broke her own nails, which were bleeding. Not once did Wendy engage physically–only verbally, yet Mia was comforted by Robyn and Gizelle. When in fact, in season 5, Gizelle felt so threatened by Monique Samuels after her altercation with Candiace Dillard that she hired security guards. Robyn and Gizelle both intentionally iced out Monique. And as Karen Huger says, “two wrongs don’t make a right,” which is why she stayed very neutral in both physical altercations. Anyways, the show (excluding the Grand Dame) has a long history of standing with light-skinned women and turning on brown and dark-skinned women, i.e. Monique, Candiace, and now Wendy.

And fans are noticing quickly:

What’s most shocking about last night’s episode is Robyn’s constant narrative that Wendy is “antagonizing” Mia when Robyn whipped out her phone to record the altercation (she was only zooming in on Wendy, though).

Mia showed her true colors in the episode and faced backlash as she responded back to a now-deleted comment saying she started the fight. She backpedals yet again, she backpedaled a couple of weeks ago after cameras caught Candiace’s husband, Chris, not staring at her–but on his phone. She said he was staring at her sexually on the show, then tweeted that same night that she was insecure.

On the bright side, Wendy has been receiving an outpour of love from fans, viewers, celebrities, and other housewives.

Why is it that these two situations could cause two different reactions from especially the Green-Eyed Bandits when all the rest of the fans sees is a double standard?

I was surprised by the way Gizelle Bryant and Robyn Dixon reacted to Mia Thornton’s behaviour in Miami, especially by them blaming Wendy Osefo for Mia’s reaction!

Fans has been criticising this show for years for their colorism and while Gizelle, Robyn and Ashley Darby deny it, the fans, Wendy and Candiace Dillard Bassett sees it clearly.

There’s different treatment of the darker skinned women than for the fair skinned women. And with these two altercations, there’s a clear double standard!

And frankly, what else can be the reason for their different reaction to this situation? 

I understand that Gizelle and Robyn don’t like Wendy, but wrong is wrong!

It’s not understandable for them to defend Mia’s behaviour while they had such a strong reaction to Monique Samuels back in season 5.

Gizelle hired a bodyguard (!) and wanted nothing to do with Monique anymore after that fight.

I can understand that they view the winery fight as more violent than this situation because it was so intense and dramatic.

However, at the end of the day it’s still a physical response to a verbal fight.

Robyn accused Wendy of antagonising Mia to fight her, but Mia threw a drink at Wendy for no reason. Is Wendy supposed to sit there and take it?

No, she’s just as riled up as Mia is! The only difference is that one used her words while the other one lashed out in anger.

It’s the same with Candiace and Monique. Candiace used her big mouth to defend herself while Monique lashed out at her and came back for more!

Seeing Gizelle of all people blame Wendy for provoking Mia’s physical reaction makes me realize that she condemned Monique just because she didn’t like her.

Mind you, Gizelle doesn’t like Mia either, so she must really detest Wendy for justifying and defending Mia!

And it made me sad. Wendy had no friends to support her.
