I’ve read and adored plenty of Post-Empty fics, New God Jack fics, etc, but this one blows them all away. I teared up several times reading this–the way sometimeswelose writes Dean’s feelings for Cas, how the confession affects his life, how he copes and changes, is wonderfully cathartic. The love in this is so tender yet powerful. I love the lives that he and Sam create for themselves. This fic feels like a perfect ending for Winchesters and Co., not a perfect world, where everything goes back to how it was, but a new one that they are building for themselves. Well written. This is one of those fics that is going to stick in my mind, I can already tell.

Like she was cool as an ally but there was like no real chemistry between Sam and Eileen. Friendship sure but the flirting/romance felt very forced

Favourite movie/show: UUUUM...gestures weakly to my blog...It honestly depends on the day. Currently I'm trying to get everyone I know to watch DMC and Castlevania Nocturne on Netflix. I've also been revisiting DnDorks 'Business Venture' 3-shot, which I HIGHLY recommend if you want a shorter DnD campaign more heavily focused on roleplaying. Movie-wise, I recently watch Conclave with a friend and it was well worth it.

Just saw a post about how much Jared hated the Samleen arc and Tumblr being Tumblr, it got away from me before I could do anything with it but it just made me kind of sad and pissed off because they started out so organic and good, just two actors who had good chemistry and two characters who seemed like they’d be good friends and I was really into it and then Show decided they had to go and fuck it up.

the jack girlies are seemingly in the trenches all the time because no one understands jack and people in the fandom babify him too much instead of seeing him as an adult character. but simultaneously many think that shipping him with others is not okay because he's only been alive for a couple of years so he's like a minor in some ways? they're divided on this matter I think. regardless of the answer they're strongly against people shipping him with sam or dean or cas, I guess for pseudo-incestuous reasons. and then there's also the huge discourse surrounding him being autistic-coded which makes the babification of his character by the fandom something ableist. point is, from what I've gathered they hate baby!jack fanart and fics with passion

anyways I wonder what other fandom drama I'm missing. what are the midam girls doing. the crowley enthusiasts. the claire enjoyers. the samwena and the samleen shippers ?? what's up with them. what insane discourses and controversial takes are happening in those foreign lands....

Sam was specifically shown to be a wonderful father to Dean Jr. He took him to the park, played baseball with him, and helped him with his homework.

And yet when Sam is "dying," Dean II is shown to have an anti-possession tattoo. The fact that it's on his forearm is both a call-back to the Mark of Cain and a suggestion that Dean II got into hunting through a connection that is not Sam. (It's not in the classic Winchester position.)

That Sam is trying so hard to be a "normal, good father" is what makes it so delicious when he fails. I'm not saying that Sam is a bad person for it. I'm just saying that his tendency to "checklist" his emotional life and dissociate from his darkness to the point of hiding the truth, as he did with Jessica Moore, could be a recipe for disaster, SPN-style. :-)

Dean II in effect becomes an ironic inversion of Sam, while embodying the same complicated emotional interiority n' base personality. If Sam pushes Dean II into "normal," or worse, pressures him into "high achieving success," Dean II's Sam-coded rebellion is to get into hunting.

(And he, like Sam, becomes driven, mean, and overconfident about it.)

And hey, it's my daydream. You don't have to like it.
