Even ever since you knew about what Barbatos has become, you did not wish to leave your birth nation. Strange, yet endearing, that you had such a strong connection to your homeland that you didn't want to leave even while you knew that your archon had been corrupted with a mind full of malice and power and then... nothing. Destruction and despair, but you preferred to endure than run away. Scared and stunned, you ran and ran like a chased criminal from the wind. You had went out to buy some apples, but suddenly you felt like the breeze has been after you. You felt like this for a while, every single time you stepped foot out of your home, like something was chasing you, a strong desire to make you it's possession filling in it's blood.

But the wind blew so hard this time, it knocked you on a tree and you passed out. About time, because you've been losing sleep lately, you though before blackening out. You suddenly wake up and... You feel strange. Your head hurts, but you're on a soft bed. But you try to get up and...what is that you feel? Restraints? Chains locked in your ankle on the bed.

You realized you could only move to reach the corners of the small room. The chain attached to your ankle was starting to hurt, but you didn't notice that. More importantly, you were scared. You didn't know what was going on. Who was the one that chained you, restrained you, in a place you've never been before? You hear a faint laugh in the distance. Malicious laugh... sending shivers of terror down your spine.

The one climbing up the stairs to the little room you were currently in was no one other than the Anemo archon himself. Your eyes widen. You can't believe you got into this situation.

However, his words have no impact on you whatsoever. You're extremely curious on how he's going to react.

"Aww, but what if I tell everyone that I found it first and that I'm more worthy of recognition. What are you going to do? Huh, Leon?"

You immediately knew you went too far when you felt his hand grab your leg and pull you off, and when as soon as you got up, you saw him slide behind you with a swift movement and wrap his strong, muscular arm around your neck.

He leans near your ear. You keep a tight hold on the item, holding onto it for dear life. You hear his heavy breathing and his voice roughening, as his huge arm feels so tight around your small neck you almost feel like you're going to pass out. His tall figure holds you up in place firmly, your feet not touching the ground anymore. You sway your legs slightly and let out a little whimper. Even though you can barely breathe, you can't say that you didn't want this to happen. He smiles and whispers near your ear.

You let out an audible breath, looking in his direction. His grip is tight, but not too tight, just enough to keep you conscious.

Your head is spinning, and your heart is beating rapidly. Your fingers release the item and it falls to the ground. You nod your head eagerly, letting out little whimpers and short breaths.

You figured that the man was relatively tall and blonde, with blue eyes, since, well, you caught him glancing at you from his balcony while he was in his. You noticed once that he stopped by your door and was about to ring your doorbell before shying away and retreating to his own apartment.

Until one day, you two coincidentally bump into each other while getting out of your apartments. You saw Leon with his police uniform. It was clean and seemed relatively new.

Leon stared at you with a really big blush on his face, unable to place your attractiveness into words. He was just looking at the gorgeous man in front of him, flustered. He reached out a trembling hand to wave at you.

"G- good morning...uh..your...name?"

You smile, feeling the friendly urge to introduce yourself. "I'm y/n. And you are, Leon Scott Kennedy, right? I've heard about you."

You hear the Uber arrive, late at night, in front of the house facing yours. You peek from your window and see Leon getting out of the car and in his house. Your room lights are open, and you swore that the second he left the car, his gaze immediately turned to your window.

The next morning, your doorbell rings. It's him, and he's standing in front of your door, looking extremely embarrassed. He apologizes for bothering you, and after you say that it's alright, he makes a statement.

"y/n, I have something to tell you."

Your heart freezes. Is this the moment you were waiting for? For him to admit his feelings? You smile at him.

"I- um... I..."

He stops into his tracks. He looks like he's having a panic attack, his face being red all over while he's mumbling to himself, not being able to take his eyes off from your handsome face. You approach him and smile widely at him. Your smile is filled with genuine care, it makes him go crazy inside.

"Leon, I would like to get to know you better. Can you give me your number?"

He freezes. It feels like he's trying to get over the shock from your statement. With a trembling voice, he stutters and starts writing down his number on a small paper.

"Oh! I- oh my- uh...sure!"

You chuckle. Music to his ears. Your smile. He wants to see it every day. He wants to make you happy but he is just too shy to say it.

You decide to take the conversation further.

"I would also like to go out with you, Leon. If that's okay, of course."

You hear a gasp. He cannot believe his ears. Everything he aspired for a week now is coming true. He can't contain his happiness. You see a huge smile form on his flushed face.

His voice is filled with genuine happiness and love. He looks into your eyes like he has never seen anything more captivating in his entire existence. He nods at you continuously and speaks to you with the most excited voice ever.

He says this last word while shaking, like he can't believe it's happening. You smile and reach out to run your fingers ever so slightly across his soft cheek.

"Of course. Have a great day, and take care."

After this encounter, Leon couldn't be happier. And honestly, you couldn't either. You await for his text, prepared to welcome him as the most beautiful chapter of your life.
