funny thigh I went through lately... the story behind why I made this headcanon is last year I was role-playing in character ai then I had that one rare rps with howdy everything was OK till the sweet boyo opened up to me he is a trans-fem which made me got surprised by that then she asked me to do a make up for her which ya can see where this go sooo since that time I couldn't shake that idea so yeah the voices went too loud so I had to make it real

- Henry had issues coming to terms with it at first but now he’s very supportive with a few mistakes

- Larry was the very first person to find out, his response was the same to finding out Sals “mask” was a prosthetic

- Ashley found out second but was the most supportive person ever (trans ash trans ash trans ash)

- Travis fr couldn’t tell Sal was AFAB at all in highschool and by the time they were adults he didn’t give a shit

There’s something so profound about the queer joy that comes from a simple shopping spree with your best friend who is a part of your found family.

I’m going back to school soon. So this is probably one of the last outings we will be able to have before I go back. And it was genuinely so much fun.

Started at Sally’s to get hair dye to renew my calico dye-job, went to five below just to sorta fool around and see what was there (got some eyeliner and makeup remover), then pop shop where again we kinda just fooled around, then Michael’s to get some fabric dye.

Something that was honestly so fun was at Micheal’s, all of the “summerween” stuff was out. On purpose or not, the decor was very much in the colors of the lesbian flag, and though it’s something silly and coincidental, in that moment I felt seen (while my empty wallet cried).

And there’s just…nothing that compares to just having a fun day out shopping with your found family, fooling around and window shopping for a couple of hours.

I am incredibly lucky and privileged to have an amazing biological family, and an amazing found family, and I know that.

But god damn the unparalleled queer joy of hanging out with my best friend who has supported me throughout all of my struggles, who was the first person I ever came out to, who is the shoulder I know will always be there for me, the sister that I never knew I needed, is absolutely unmatched.

And for a moment, I almost scolded myself for letting myself feel this happy and joyful in a trying time like this. But it’s okay, it’s perfectly normal to let yourself enjoy the little things, enjoy the time you have with your loved ones, enjoy silly little shopping sprees with your best friend.

Maybe I’m just sappy because I’m going back to school in a few weeks and won’t get to do this as often? But I just felt like getting my thoughts out there, because I know many others like me have been feeling down and scared for the future. But I think an important thing to remember is that we’re alive. We’re alive and we can make a difference and we can experience joy and hope. As long as we’re alive and still fighting, and our spirits aren’t yet crushed by the people who want us gone, there is hope. Let yourself enjoy the little things, so your soul doesn’t die inside and you can continue fighting <3

Tldr: I love my best friend, my biological family, and my found family and though things have felt bleak for a while, it’s necessary we allow ourselves joy and happiness so we do not give up hope and we do not lose this important fight.

Dreamer(15):*places down a large box* yes I don’t mind! I outgrew all of these so I want to give them to you and have you chosen your new name yet?

Sam: no I haven’t but I was thinking Sally my aunt told me that if I was born a girl my parents would have named me Sally it means princess in Hebrew

Dreamer: hmmm Sally Rosenberg that’s a beautiful name (i changed Sally’s last name to a traditional Jewish last name)

Sam: thanks but it’s not set in stone though I have a whole list of names

Dreamer: have you come out to your aunt yet?

Sam: dreamer you know I come from a extremely traditional Jewish family I’d probably get kicked out and disown of I ever thought of wearing makeup or dress I have a duty to do and it’s to continue my family’s bloodline

Dreamer: you can still do that as a girl and if you get kicked out you can live with me
