blue: pjo mention red: legendborn cycle mention black: jst in general i honestly don't care much about the shipping portion of books. like, pjo; there are a lot of other interesting plot points than ships and pjo's never been just about romance yk? it's about so many other things. sometimes, shipping ruins shit for a fandom, especially when people are out here harassing people for harmless ships. when i say harmless ships, i mean ships that don't have pedophilia, zoophilia, incest, and more. scarily enough, there are plenty of ships like that I'm gonna choose not to tag or comment because lowkey interacting with people who scream at you for not liking their ship is something way too common in the fandom. also, legendborn. this book series has a lot going for it (if it can get better after bloodmarked..) but i see a lot of people only focusing on the shipping portion which is very strange to me. this book is about representation and ancestry and finding your roots, not about which boy bree should kiss. i mean, is the romance cute? sure. but let's stop shoving aside the actual plot for it also, mind you, the amount of people i've seen getting attacked for not being a big fan of canon ships is insane. some people think canon is some kind of holy grail, and that changing it is akin to sacrilege and I just do not get it. why does canon matter if some guy says “I’d prefer it to be like this”, and it's still an innocent ship? it’s just an excuse for people who clearly need to go outside to say “uhm actually you’re having fun wrong 🤓, leave this fandom now, you don't deserve to be here”. but also, mind you, if someone makes an anti post of your favorite ship or character /or/ a pro post of your least favorite, stop going after them. damn. scroll past. even block them if you want. it's not difficult. people are entitled to their own opinions and they can choose for themselves what characters they like and dont like. would you like to be attacked for liking/disliking a character? of course not. literally no one wants to wake up to that. TL;DR: sometimes, shipping can ruin a fandom, especially when people harass people over it, and canon doesn't have to be followed, and sometimes anti/pro really isn't that deep when it comes to book characters

hearing the door unlock, you quickly pull your hood up. tucking your hair away behind your neck. looking over towards the door from your position at the island, you see the boys trampling up the stairs, lazily pulling suitcases up behind them.

once they told you that they were touring in october, you immediately turned hesitant. you worried that they were going to miss halloween. but matt promised you, that he wouldnt miss your favorite holiday for the world.

and he kept that promise. barely.

though the tour ended on the 22nd, its still took them a while to get back to boston. which now deems today the 29th of october.

standing up quickly, you smile at the boys. matt immediately lets go of his suitcase, and runs up to you. embracing you in a well missed hug.

he giggles lightly, and presses a kiss to your forehead. pulling back his expression changes. matt knits his brows together, "your hair?" he smiles curiously.

pulling your hood off, you reveal your hair to be a maroon-ish red. you and matt decided to go as jack skellington and sally for halloween, but you told him you were going to wear a wig. but plans changed in the month he had been gone.

you smile brightly at him. "gotta play the part!" you laugh.

he runs a hand through your freshly dyed hair and laughs. "i love it." he meets your eyes before looking back to your head. "you look stunning."

playfully rolling your eyes, you smile. "guess we gotta shave your head!"

his expression immediately drops, "no." he sternly says.

earning a giggle from his brothers.

Wonka (2023)

Wonka has a few instances of strobe effects that are very sudden and severe, but also very brief, never lasting more than a second or two. One of these involves a piece of machinery moments after the end of a flashback that introduces a parent. Another flashback has some severe lightning-related strobes.

All of the camera work is very smooth in this film, but there are moments of extreme heights, flying, and spinning, none of which last very long.

Flashing Lights: 7/10. Motion Sickness: 4/10.

TRIGGER WARNING: One person makes gagging noises at every mention of a specific word, and briefly comments "I've been sick in my mouth" after one of these incidents.

MONROE: I don’t know what the form was in Robbery Squad, but over here, we do things by the book.

MONROE: He lied to me, and that’s not a clever thing to do.

Chris falls foul of Andrew when he threatens a prisoner, endangering Matt as custody sergeant. I’m reminded of School of Hard Knocks, where Frank does the right thing by not lying to Andrew, and gets his support in return. I doubt Andrew would’ve supported Chris either way in this situation, but he definitely didn’t help himself by underestimating Andrew and choosing to lie.

Andrew calls Chris ‘Sergeant Deakin’ in this one, which is an intentional reminder of his busted down rank, I’m sure.
