isn't that sweet, i guess so, aaron hotchner
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
summary: in which you reunite with your big sister's best friend, aaron hotchner for the first time since you graduated high school, and headed off to university. the last time you'd seen him you'd been a seventeen year old with a massive crush, now you were a special agent with doctorates and degrees. when the BAU is paired up with your unit during a case, you find that unit chief aaron is completely different from the aaron you'd looked up to growing up, but for good reason. one thing that never seemed to change though, is how he seems to know you better than anyone else, which is unlucky for you considering he's married with a baby on the way. pairing: aaron hotchner! x cia! female reader category: fluff x crack content warnings: none really? made up case details. mentions of bombings, murder, death, terrorism. there's an age gap of about 7 years between r! + hotch and this takes place in s1... idk it's just a bit of word vomit surrounding hotch finding a woman that's not haley attractive. no cheating though, cause it's literally fleeting, but reader is a bit smitten. author's note. i've got hotchner brain rot, and find myself with thousands of ideas that i never can bring myself to write. the girls that love him can be a bit... scary lol. they do not play about him, but whatever... he's on my mind so here we are.
it''s been so many months omg. i went to basic training and officially became an army girl! now i'm in italy now learning how to be a paralegal (which makes me even more equipped to write badass women with legal knowledge yum!) anyways... i'm sort of back, my schedule is packed, but i'm gonna get back into writing because i've missed it so terribly. xx
He hears you before he sees you. Your voice, despite the years that resided in between the last time he'd heard it hadn't changed much. It had gotten a bit deeper, a sign that you were no longer the bubbly teen he'd last seen you as, you were older, an adult now. Still, there's an undeniable giddiness that rested beneath your words that took him back to days when you were being chased off by your big sister for hanging around too much and "being way too obvious"
Obvious about what? Aaron had never quite figured it out, but he knows it's you nonetheless. You're standing in the middle of the Langley Headquarters, the Central Intelligence Agency office. The last Aaron had heard about you, you'd been on assignment in Qatar, but that was nearly eight months ago. Jobs that required FBI Agents and CIA Case Officers to overlap were usually gruesome, and despite how polite your tone was, he could still place a level of sternness.
"If we're dealing with some sort of cluster, the last thing we want to do is proceed haphazardly." you're speaking to a group of about ten counter-terrorism operatives, voice low so as not to disturb the other pods of agents working. "That said, over the last month there's been a bombing a week in the areas surrounding the capital." you're muttering just as the team is finally breaching the threshold of your particular pod. The building was bustling, flooded with bodies working on what Aaron was certain were different cases.
One of the agents, a man about your age seems to notice the new group, and clears his throat. You turn, eyebrow raising as you take him in. "I'm sorry?" you question as if the noise was some offensive remark made. The agent, whoever he is, seems to freeze up, eyes wide as he points forward in the general direction of the team. Aaron hears Elle's quiet little snort, and wonders how the two of you will manage to work alongside one another. Elle was - or better put, she could be quite volatile. And it seemed the way you'd spoken to your subordinate had already managed to put a sour taste in her mouth.
"I hope we're not interrupting." and you're finally turning, eyes fluttering directly to Gideon. You don't acknowledge anyone else on the team, only Gideon, head tipping to the side just slightly. Your lips push together, eyes then moving to the clock that rested on the desk nearest you.
"Not interrupting, but you're late, and we can't afford to wait around for the F.B.I. to finally give a damn." and your tone isn't snippy at all, but it's clear that you're passionate about your job, and this case. It makes sense that you're in the position that you're in. You turn back to your team, hands clasping together, "Everyone, these are the Bureau agents we were promised." you motion to them loosely. "You'll all be expected to work with them, not against them." you're back to pretending the profilers aren't there, he's not offended.
He can tell though that the others aren't sure how to take you. "This isn't the time for a balls match, and I don't care how long you've worked where." your eyes shoot across the entire group, resting sternly on the same man who's cleared his throat earlier. "They're here because they've mastered the art of getting into the mind of sons of bitches like these. In layman's terms we need them, and I expect you to give them the respect they deserve," it's then that you finally look back at them, eyes sweeping over the group.
Aaron sees it when surprise crosses your features, it happens when you finally lock eyes with him, but you hide it in an instant. "W-We can expect the exact same of them." everyone notices the sudden waver in your tone, but your face is so set they've got no time to unpack it. "I don't want to hear about any of you getting beside yourselves because you're too egotistical to accept a different opinion. Our goal is the same, so for now these are your comrades, and you'll treat them like you'd treat any cadet coming out of Peary."
You sound so official, and Aaron thinks that's partly due to the fact that you were one of the youngest in the room, which came with a certain level of scrutiny, which in turn meant you had no room to show any ounce of uncertainty. You couldn't give them any reason to believe they could undermine the authority you'd been granted. "We clear?" you ask, and you've regained some of that regality to your voice, and Aaron finds that leadership suits your character.
It's not until your team has offered their affirmatives and you've issued a handful of tasks that you finally turn back to the team. Your eyes sweep over the entirety of the line, deliberately passing over Aaron, and he wonders if that's deliberate. "Welcome to Langley." you start your introduction, "My supervisor said you guys would be here an hour ago." you admit, and you don't sound inherently snippy, but it's clear their perceived lack of punctuality was a bother.
"Our apologies, we came as soon as we were cleared." Jason is saying, and Aaron is certain all minds are running directly to Erin Strauss. She'd always had an affinity of making things way more difficult than they'd ever needed to be.
"That's alright, I'm just glad we've finally got your brains in the building." and you extend a hand, a polite (but still closed-off) smile residing on your face. "Jason Gideon, right?" you question, and he's accepting the gesture gingerly. "I'm Case Officer L/N, I'll be your point person while my supervisor is away." and you're looking at the clock again. "They should be landing within the hour, I'm sure he'll be looking forward to meeting you all." you proceed.
"This is Doctor Reid." and Gideon is addressing Spencer, who offers a small wave that you reciprocate. "This is our technical Analyst Garcia.." and he motions to her, the blonde beaming vibrantly at you. She's a walking ray of sunshine, a brightness that's needed in the profession. You offer your own sort of bright greeting, "And these are SSA's Greenaway, Morgan, Jareau..." and before Jason can move to introduce Aaron, you're offering the first real smile of the day.
"Hotchner." you complete Jason's greeting, smile deepening just slightly. "I'm actually quite familiar, we go way back." and Aaron feels every set of eyes to his left and right snapping right to him. He sees Derek's smug little smirk and JJ's perturbed eyebrow raise. He's not in the mood for questions though. "Follow me, we tore apart an office to make space for you guys." and you're walking, and the team is at a loss. Most of them seem to have no clue how to respond, but Derek does, he always does.
"We go way back?" he mimics cheekily and Aaron's eyes can't help but to roll. Elle and Jennifer are releasing similar snorts, clearly amused at the entire situation. Aaron doesn't know why they're so hellbent on trying to see something that wasn't there. It wasn't like you were some mysterious woman from his past. You were the kid sister of his childhood friend, basically a neighbor. Still, he couldn't deny that the feeling that stirred up alongside the familiarity was not lost on him.
"Let's just focus on the case." Gideon is muttering, and Aaron doesn't think he's ever appreciated the old man more.
It's barely a few moments before Aaron's being pulled from his head. The space that had been allotted to the team was nice enough, it would do for the time being. You watch them appraise the space, hands clasped in front of you like you were waiting for their reactions. "Thank you, it's perfect!" he breaches the first conversation between the both of you, and your eyes seem to light up, shoulders jumping at the not-quite praise. He notes then that you must not get a lot of 'good jobs' from your superiors.
"It's the least we could do, honestly." and you shrug slightly. "My boss won't like that I'm saying this, but we're really backed against a wall here." you lower your tone a bit. "If your team wasn't available, we'd be in a bind." you admit, and Aaron is familiar with the sentiment. His team did a lot of good work. "But, if I'm honest, I am kind of surprised to see you in the midst of the fray." you pivot, showing off all your pretty teeth as Aaron's lips quirk involuntarily.
You'd always been a vibrant person, the kind that could pull the sun out from behind storm clouds. That was something no amount of time could help him forget, and as you let your smile reach your eyes, the crinkle reminds him of a time before all the death, violence, and trauma he'd become accustomed to with the life he'd chosen for himself. "I'm hoping it's a bit of a happy surprise?" he says, because despite the circumstances, this was still you of all people.
"More than a bit." you reply instantly. "Honestly, the circumstances are God-awful, but it is nice to know that the 'little Aar Hotchner' that used to sit in our kitchen for breakfast, is the unit chief of an entire FBI unit." you say, and Aaron knows whether they want to be obvious or not, the team are eavesdropping, minds split between starting at their work, and hoping for a bit of insight into who their boss had once been. He'd deal with the fallout of that later.
"Little?" he says unconvinced, as you breathed out a small laugh.
"Okay, maybe not so little at all." you correct yourself teasingly. "I just- I can't believe that I'm actually seeing you again." and your head tips to the side like you're actually just coming to the realization.
"Yeah, you were a ghost for a bit there after your graduation." and it hits you like a ton of bricks. The last time you'd seen Aaron Hotchner it had been when he'd shown up to your high school graduation. Eighteen year old you, who'd been more than eager to leave Virginia behind and start your real life. That was almost ten full years ago.
"Yeah." you agree with a small nod. "Wow." and you exhale through your nose. "Unit Chief Aaron Hotchner, I wish I could say I was surprised, but honestly you've always been the bossy type!" you tease before you can really stop yourself, and it catches you both off guard when Aaron actually laughs.
"I guess I could say the same thing about you. You know, I almost didn't recognize you coming in. Being in charge though... it suits you." and this causes you to brim with nervousness, a nervousness you hadn't felt since you were a kid. You knew you were good at your job, you'd fought hard to get it, and you would do anything to maintain it, but it didn't come with a lot of friends, or congratulations, or even just a small bit of encouragement. It was a thankless role.
Somehow Aaron saying something so minute was enough to set all your doubts and second guesses about yourself at ease. Something that he seemed to have never grown out of practice with.
"Thanks, Aar." you say quietly, and you look like you want to say more, but then your phone is buzzing in your pocket, and you're pulled back into a different headspace. The kind that had no time for laughter, for catching up, or anything outside of business. You check your phone, head pivoting to look at that big clock on the wall, and you sigh.
"Everything okay?"
"My boss is running late, won't be back until tomorrow. Which means this is now officially my case." you express, and Aaron understands your plight. The sudden pressure, the way you must have been nervous.
"That's what we're here for." he reminds you politely, treading lightly. "So you won't have to do this one by yourself." Aaron continues, as you blink away your awe. "And like I said, leadership suits you, you'll probably have the whole office in shape in no time." he offers you more encouragement, and you wonder how it could be possible to leave someone behind, and come back to them holding the same amount of space in your heart.
"Thank you." you let out a tired exhale. "I should go. I was expecting him to handle a few things, but now that it's on me... I have a lot more work to do." and you open and close your hand, flexing your fingers as you shuffle awkwardly. "I'm sorry-" you begin, and Aaron is waving you off, face pinching up in a way that was not quite like him.
"Don't. It'll give us time to think." and he's speaking for the team, who he knows don't need much to find a breakthrough.
"Right. It was-" and you look like you're not sure if you want to continue. "It was really good to see you again, Hotchner." and you stumble a bit as you take a small step towards him. "Just-" and you blink a few times. "Let me know if you need anything." you express, "Anything at all." and the emphasis isn't too lost on him as you beam up at him like you were remembering every last thing you ever recalled about him.
It takes you a second to note that the rest of the team is zoned in on the both of you, and you're immediately making your smile drop, taking a step back. "Uh-" you extend a hand, motioning to the entire group. "All of you." you offer, "If any of you need anything, my office is just up there!" and you point across hq to a large office surrounded with glass doors looking out into the bullpen. "Thank you again for your help." and you're looking at Hotch again, an almost sorrowful look on your face as you offer a smile before you take your leave.
Aaron finds it impossible to pull his eyes away from you, because you were so completely different from who he remembered. But some parts were still the same. He blinks away these thoughts, mostly because the loudest thought in his mind is of Haley and the baby they were expecting. But what were the odds that you of all people would be here. He catches the intense stare of Gideon, and both his eyebrows jump. Jason had a way of reading people like no one else.
He doesn't want to know what he found as he examined Hotch. So instead, Aaron beelines towards Morgan and Reid, hoping to hover long enough to get his head back in the game. If they notice the way his eyes would scan the office every so often, if only to catch a glimpse of you, they say nothing.
So he doesn't say anything either.

LOOKING GOOD - LN4
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
summary : fewtrell!reader <3 her brother leaves her alone with lando for less than five minutes and she manages to make her childhood friend blush.
listen up : no warnings!! a small blurb to get me back into writing bc i stopped for a day and am now lost.
word count : 634
⋆。‧˚⋆
My brother doesn’t usually annoy me this much, but today he’s really making me angry. He said we would have a brother-sister day (aka we go out for lunch and shit talk while he pays) but I’m standing in a studio instead.
He’s talking to Lando who’s having photos done for a new LN4 drop or something. I check my phone again but am soon looking up again when I realize Lando and Max are now standing in front of me
“I’m gonna go change!” he throws me a hoodie, “I told you i’d get you free shit!” Max walks away as I eye the hoodie.
It’s the same dark green that Lando has on, but mine has a 4 on the chest and various little patches on the arms. I raise a brow at him but he talks first.
“Thought you’d like that one. You look good wearing my number.” I suck in a breath at his flirtatious tone. He’s got a mischievous smirk painted on his face as I rest my hands on the jacket.
“Did you do this to make up for not having the frat boy life you were destined for?” His smile doesn’t falter, just sits down next to me and rests his arm around the back of my chair.
“Sorry I've stolen Max away, today.” I can feel his fingers tap against the chair.
I sigh and shrug, “I get it. Best friend over his loving, stunning, iconic, caring, younger sister.”
Lando laughs a bit, turning his head away. When he does, it makes me realize I haven’t heard him laugh in a while. In fact, I haven’t seen him for months.
His tan is the same which is ridiculous and I fight the urge to ask him if he spray tans. But as my eyes catch on his hair, I swallow.
His curls are defined and cut into a mullet. I’ve always thought I hated them until I saw Lando’s haircut. He’s got his usual bracelets on and when I’m looking at them I get distracted by his hands.
Sometimes it’s really hard to ignore the fact that this man is the same absolute nerd I grew up with. He and my brother used to terrorize me and now Lando’s words are more teasing if anything.
I know he likes the way we talk because everytime I see him, he willingly starts a conversation with me even though I take every chance to bully him.
He blinks and my gaze is pulled back to my lashes, then his eyes. Fuck, those eyes. They’ve always been my favorite part of Lando’s appearance. Is that weird?
You could argue that they’re brown in the dark, but as soon as the sun hits you realize that they’re not specifically one thing.
Right now they look green as ever, the color in his hoodie bringing it out. I don’t realize he’s looking at me until he blinks again.
“Look,” Lando sighs, “If you’re gonna make a jab at how I have my name embroidered on my hoodie-” I let out a small scoff and he stops. “What?”
“I was gonna say you look really good.” I say simply as his jaw basically drops.
I think I've finally found a way to silence Lando Norris, and get his cheeks pink.
Max walks back in, his new Lando swag on display as I stand.
“I’m gonna wait in the car.” I smile at him and as I walk past my brother, I look back to Lando. “Thanks for the hoodie, Norris.”
He’s watching me walk away, a confused look still on his face. I bring my hand up and wiggle my fingers at him. I hear my brother start to yap loudly as the corner of Lando’s mouth quirks.

✩₊˚.⋆☾⋆⁺₊✧ ➛ My Masterlist
─────── ─ ˚˖𓍢ִ໋🦢˚─ ───────
It was your free period so you've decided to go to the library and catch up on your other lessons. You were the only person there, so everything was perfect; it was quiet and the atmosphere was just right. The peacefulness surrounded you like a warm embrace─ it was relaxing and comforting.
Suddenly a loud bang from the doors and paddles of feet could be heard from across the room.
Well, so much for peace and quiet.
You didn't even have to check who it was that made the noise. You already knew who it was, correction who he was.
"Guess what y/n/n~" Oscar beamed─ Jumping at the seat next to you.
You flickered your eyes from your book to his. Slowly examining his whole figure.
He had this goofy grin plastered across his face and his smile widens even more as he speaks, you can practically hear the joy radiating from his voice.
God that smile is just so contagious, it matches so well with his angelic tone.
The look that you gave him definitely screams 'uninterested' but of course that's only the expression you show him.
Unbeknownst to Oscar all the deep feelings you want to further express to him.
You softly put down your book to the side and diverted all your attention at the man sitting beside you.
"What? Is there a reason why you look awfully like an idiot right now?" You answered, acting all cold and mundane as possible.
Oscar rolled his eyes and gently nudged your shoulders. "Why do you always frown like that, you know, you're way prettier when you smile."
And why do you always make my heart go crazy with those words??
You shrugged nonchalantly, "it's because you're super annoying and not very smile worthy."
"Ha Ha, real funny y/n, you crack me up" Oscar said sarcastically making you giggle softly. "Anyways, i have good news."
You stopped and raised your brows─ signaling for him to continue.
He took the hint and continued what he was going to say, "You know how I've been courting lily for the past few months now?"
Your smile soon fades and your demeanor quickly shifts as you try your best not to falter.
The reality was quick to weigh down on you. Crushing and crumbling your heart with each truthfulness.
From out of sight, you were gripping your thighs to stop the tears from going down, so much that it will probably bruise later.
You rolled your eyes jokingly, "I remember, only because you wouldn't stop talking about her, you lover boy" you spoke weakly─ punching his shoulders playfully to make it seem that it hadn't affected you.
"what about it?" You asked, even though you know where this conversation was heading.
Oscar couldn't contain his excitement and happily blurted out his words, "SHE FINALLY SAID YES."
Your lips subtly quiver and your eyes start to gloss. You knew where this was going so why does it hurt so bad?
"Wow uhm..i am so happy for you osc" you croaked, feeling your voice crack a little.
"I just feel so lucky to have her" Oscar sighed─ the smile on his face says it all.
He then went on and on about how she said yes and what he felt at the time. He was so busy talking about his feelings that he couldn't see yours.
You were smiling, yet your eyes tells another story.
He kept on talking, saying just how happy he was. "And then when she said yes, my heart just stopped beating and everything was in slow motion"
That's what i feel everyday with you.
His voice seemed to blend in the background and all you could hear was the ringing silence of loneliness.
You nod your head every now and then to what he was saying, despite not listening to what he was actually rambling on about.
You then abruptly cut him off and stood up, "uh i am sorry Osc but, i forgot that me and alex have this thing."
"What is it? Maybe i can help?" He offered, his eyes softening at your sudden reaction.
God, don't look at me with those eyes.
You shook your head and averted your eyes, ignoring his looks of concern. You didn't want him to see you like that. Not like this.
Don't fall for it y/n, he's just concerned as a Friend.
Without saying a word you quickly grabbed your things and scurried away from him. Leaving Oscar confused and dumbfounded.
...
You hurriedly ran to the nearest rest room─avoiding all the people that were in the way. Not wanting them to take a glance at your now tear eyed face.
As soon as you close the cubicle door, your whole body just went limp. Not having any energy anymore.
And you were now balling your eyes out on the ground─ bitting your lips, to stifle the cries that were escaping from your trembling mouth.
You were stupid enough to think that there was something going to happen between you and Oscar. It's your fault, for falling at his rosy sweet words, even though you knew deep down inside that he only meant that as a friend.
...
Short cause it got deleted ON MY FIRST DRAFT. Hope u enjoyed tho

Alastor x reader I've written randomly to vent about a shitty situation I'm currently living
Tumblr media
Summary : a new guest you knew from your past life arrive at the hotel, she was that one person who bullied you throigh high school, but she mooks too angelic to be guilty
Code : E/n (ennemy/name)
Tags : fem reader, etablished relationship, angst for the most part, there will maybe be a part 2, mentions of bullying, reader is TRAUMATIZED, english is not my first language, may have some inaccuracy about the show since I'm just projecting, and of course probably ooc characters
It wasn't a bad day, at least not in a place like hell, it was even quite nice, charlie was babbling about a new team bonding activity as usual, and it was nice being with your friends, until around 2 pm...when a new guest arrived...
Oh you remembered her...from high school, so pretty, so popular, she was you best friends ! You should have been overjoyed to see her down here !
Well...not exactly, because she wasn't your best friend anymore, you hardly bear to be in the same room as her, of anger, from your history and how your friendship ended...but also of fear and dread...
You were both teens back then, you and eager to have many friends ! You had your own group of friends, and she was a separate individual, spending her time with her boyfriend often, that's okay by you, you were happy for her, and when that boy left her you welcomed her with open arms ! You became best friend soon, even inseparable ! You heard her badmouth you to your friend group from time to time, but she told you it was okay, it was "to know who was fake" then, one by one, your friends ghosted you, but you had her, she was there at least, making new friends, each time you introduced her they left soon enough, you thought that maybe you were the problem and stopped trying, your best friend was there after all
Until a boy came along, love at first sight for you, he had everything ! He had so much...your best friend wanted him too...and with that, she had him, when you called her out she called you an homewrecker and a toxic friend getting in the way of her relationship, that ended badly and an argument followed, while you stayed on the down low, she texted your few friends left, and any new friends you managed to make telling them how awful you were, so you ended up closing your media althogether, moving away, and never hearing about her ever again
And there she was, she didn't really looked different from her time on her, a round face and blond hair, she didn't looked like she fitted in hell, but you you were different, your body jointed like a doll, mocking your life as the puppet of those who wanted to play you, but if not your appearance, your personnality changed, you were more confident, your boyfriend was a powerful overlord too ! No, not boyfriend, he proposed a month ago after all, he was your fiancee now, and you had friends, through thick and thin, you knew they wouldn't buy into her lie at least !
Having an hard time to breath you sucked it up, maybe she wouldn't recognize you ?
Wrong
How wrong
"Hello ! Welcome to the hazbin hotel ! Guys this is our new guest !" Charlie started with her usually cheerfulness
"Hi everyone ! My name is E/n, I barely arrived in hell ! And I figured that if I could, I would want to be redeemed ! After all everyone deserves second chances !" The girl said back
Her voice hasn't changed, neither her tone, that fake nice tone you used to hear every day, here, one again in flesh and blood, not through a phone, not through class, but..here...
Breathing harder than ever, you only went back to reality when husk called out to you
"Hey ? You seem weird, like you've seen some ghost ?" His tone nonchalant as always showed half concerns, but for him, it was a lot
"A glass, of whiskey, or vodka, whatever you got, strongest you got please"
"Wowowo...alright, that's not your type to drink, what's up...?"
"I-I...I know this girl...she...listens, I can't be in her presence sober, I knew her from where I was alive...we had...some bad conflict...she did some awful things to me, and I got bad issues after that...I said some mean things to her too, we were kids, but since then I'm scared I'll lose all my friends again !"
Husk just nodded at my whispered rant, trying to calm myself, I didn't even insisted on a glass and went straight to my own room since alastor and I didn't shared one yet, not before marriage he said
Later that day, angel vaggie and charlie passed by my room, concerned by my absence, I told them everything, how I ended up abandonning the notion of making friends when I was alive, the calls, the insults, they looked at me with compassion, charlie said she believes that she could have changed, and even if I doubted it, I wanted to believes it
Alastor arrived to spend some quality time with me, dancing on old jazz music far from my time, reading a book, basking in silence with each others
After a while, I thought I could talk about E/n with him, he was my fiancee after all ?
"Al ?" I started, unsure
"Yes my dear ?"
"You know about that new guest at the hotel ?"
"Ah yes, what a cultivated lady, quite entertaining, she was really into songs from the 1980s not my style at all, we had a long discussion about music genres, she's actually quite against modern technology and that picture show"
"Oh...so...you like her company ?"
"She is not insufferable if that's your question"
Finally you decided against your first idea, perhaps she had changed in the end ? Perhaps a new friendship was possible ? With healthy fondation, you could get your bestfriend back !
Wrong again
You revealed her the next day who you were, well, used to be, what linked the two of you back in the living realms, for others, nothing changed, but for you it was subtle, for exemple she never interrupted anyone, but when it came to you each time your mouth opened she would cut you out
She was such a charmer too, a quality you envied her, her audience was captivated, and soon even alastor was her aquaintance, he presented her rosie of course ! Just like he did for charlie !
And just like he did for you...
Rosie found her delightful, and from your tea parties at 3 with her and alastor, became 4, adding E/n
A comment about your appearance back in high school, an embarassing moment you had, a silly crush, every single detail of your life was used to mock you, even your crush on a video game character
Soon you always found excuses to avoid going to the tea party, and spend most of our time outside of the hotel, feeling akward in her presence
You tried talking about it to charlie or maybe vaggie, to no avail, they said how nice E/n was and how much progress she was making, if they weren't saying you sounded silly thinking that in these 3 weeks she took your place, you still felt like it...
And it all confirmed when, after a whole day of searching for everyone, they finally came back to the hotel from shopping...without you
"Finally you're here toots ! We tried searching for ya before going but you weren't anywhere !" Angel started, holding many bags in each arms
"What do you mean ? I was in my room all day ?"
"Wait you weren't out ? E/n told us she saw you leave ?"
"Oh I'm sorry my eyes deceived me...next time I'll still check your room !" As everyone looked sorry I couldn't help but see it, even for a second...
She smirked...
Of course she did, she never changed
This started becoming common occurence, either the others left you behind, or you could leave the entire day without them noticing, and at some point, angel, husk and sir pentious started to distance themselves from you
"Hey angel, hum...you wanna hang out...? Go to a club, or drink with husk, just spend some time betweens pal ?"
"Sorry sweet cheeks, but we're partying with E/n tonight and...she doesn't feel comfortable around you..."
"Wha ? Angel what are you talking about ?"
"She told us about it, about the two of you, hos jealous and manipulative you were, you even tried to make her dump her boyfriend, that wasn't cool of you, I don't want to take side on this, but if I hang out with one of you, I'd rather not force her to be with the other for both your sanities"
"Oh...ok"
That's all you could have mustered, because what was there to muster, you were in hell, all the proof you used to have were on your previous phone in the living realm, but even if angel and the other favored her, mayne your fiancee could understand your side ?
Gently you knocked on alastor's hotel room as he called you to come in, he was currently eating his dinner, a...fresh venison...but you shook your head lightly, taking a sit across the table
"Al, can I vent to you for a bit...?"
"What is it my dear ? But please, spare me your story with E/n, as much as I love a good gossip, the young lady did you a favor by never taking vengance in the living realm, I wouldn't want the two of you to get in troubles once again"
"Al, please it's serious, she's telling lies about le ! And you believes her ? I'm your fiancee ! She's in hell as well !"
"And so are you, and so am I, I am not interested in knowing the why who is were, but I admit your little querrel is...quite entertaining !"
"So your fiancee see her ex bully...and all you think about is entertainment ?"
"Well, ma chère (my dear) as far as we are all concerned, without proof, both of you could be the liar, it's about, who's able to convince the public, just like on a stage"
Alastor's half sadistic smile didn't amused you, you just sighed, getting up, wamking slowly toward the exit of his room, if even your own fiancee, the man you loved refused to believes you, who would ?
You couldn't see alastor's curious expression as you left, he just wanted to prolounge the fun and not outright gives you the solution, but seeing you give up almost made him that for once he screwed up badly

AUDACITY: Toto Wolff x Wife!Black!Reader
TW: CURSING, YELLING
Tumblr media
The hectic race here in Monza had finally come to an end and it is now time for the post-race interviews. One by one, the drivers were asked questions about what happened during their drive and what they think could've been done differently; however, a specific question a young driver had pissed off the wife the Mercedes AMG Petronas F1 Team, Y/n Wolff as she march her way in front of the man, blocking the journalist's sight of him.
"Could you please repeat that question you asked?" Y/n asked to make sure she heard the man right. "I asked if he felt that since he hadn't been winning any races for Christian, if he thought that maybe his time here in Formula 1 is running out?" the man asked once again, this time with a bit of fear for what the shorter yet feisty woman had to say. "So, I wasn't hallucinating, I heard you correctly! Now let me educate you on something here since you seem to lack the knowledge! A driver's career doesn't just end because they've been constantly not making it to the podium, sure he hasn't been winning yet he did a damn good job at keeping himself in the top six and THAT should be praised considering the state of favouritism going on in his team. Next is to address the fact that yes, we all know that Christian Horner is an impatient man when it comes to certain things, however he would never be that foolish to let Sergio go and if he was, he would pay for it dearly at my hands as I would personally burn his headquarters and garages to ashes, not leaving a pinch of paper for him to start over from. Mark my words, as whatever it is that you call yourself, the post-race interviews are for questions about the race and shouldn't go to the extent of you putting doubts into any driver's mind. BE WARNED THAT THIS IS YOUR FIRST AND LAST WARNING AS YOU ARE WALKING ON THIN ICE SEEMING THAT I COULD'VE HAD YOUR CAREER ENDED ON THE SPOT. Now apologize!" She shouted in anger that someone who should've been able to be trusted to ask sensible questions was actually a complete idiot out for nothing but starting chaos.
"I'm very sorry Sergio, I didn't think my words would have been taken that seriously" said the man as he was on the verge of tears, out of fear that he almost lost his job due to a foolish question. "It's ok, no hard feelings. Just try not to make this mistake again or best believe she'll be back for you" Sergio said as he went over to hug the man, being in shock himself.
Toto had been doing an interview with his drivers, when George noticed what was about to happen and tapped Lewis on the shoulder. They both called for Toto's attention, where the trio along with their journalist, watched on as Y/n gave the visibly shaking man a piece of her mind. After that was done, the lady interviewing them decided to ask "So Toto, you've obviously seen what your wife had just done. What would your reaction be to her for this?" the journalist smiled as she awaited an answer from Toto who as himself looks genuinely scared. "My question is What the fuck do you all want me to do?! I'm not getting involve in that! The last time you all had me interfere, I was unable to sleep on my pillows for a month!" He replied in a panicked tone as Lewis and George were the only two who knew what his "pillows" meant. "Dude, you've got to be kidding me. You still call her breasts pillows? How comfortable could they be?" George asked in amusement that his boss was still obsessed with his wife's boobs. "Trust me Russ, they are very comfy, I've also added and new pair. The ass" Toto said making everyone, including the journalist laugh. "Alright, so I see you're unable to help the guy out, that's all the questions I have for you three. Have a nice rest of your day" the woman said as they replied, "Same to you."
Unbeknownst to them the cameras had still been filming LIVE and they manged to capture the response which sent the world into a spiral at the fact that such a giant of man's weakness was being able to sleep on his wife as it now became the biggest thing to tease him of whenever he did something he wasn't supposed to.

Bad Idea Right?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Pairings: Ex!Joe burrow x Ex!Reader Warnings:Alcohol use, situationship, mentions of sex Summary- What happens when y/n gets a text message from someone in her past that her friends are not fond of? Her friends tell her not to go but it can’t be a bad idea…. right?
Tumblr media
Who would have thought I would end the night with him, In his bed cuddled with him like we are together. Should I regret it? Probably. Do I regret it? Hell no! Have you seen this man he is literally a walking hercules and who am I to block an opportunity that I was given. Anyways, you may be asking, "y/n what the heck are you even talking about?". Well let's go back to earlier in the day where everything started.
Tumblr media
My friends and I were talking about throwing a party and I couldn't be more excited. I needed something to get my mind off of him. Me and Joe are kinda rocky when it comes to a relationship. We broke up about two months ago. Usually when two people break up they dont talk to each other, buttttt me and Joe have been sneaking around for the past two weeks. No one knows about this, not my friends, not his friends just sneaking around like two teenagers.
As we all sit on my couch we start talking about party details, y’know the time, who to invite the food, all that good boring stuff when out of nowhere melody says this.
“Well since we're talking about personal invites I don't think you should invite Joe y/n”- Melody
“Why would I invite Joe? We're done. Over” I said lying through my teeth knowing that we were still hooking up.
“I'm just saying you seem to be tense each time you see him. Like that one time we were watching tv and his Bose ad came on. You looked like you saw a ghost.” She says laughing.
“I was Just shocked at his dance moves, I thought I taught him better when we took that dance class.” and that was true we did take a dance class but let's just say, Joeys not dancing for a while.
“I wasn't the worst i've seen but also not the best”- Kaylee says while  writing something down.
OK! Can we stop talking about my ex, kinda getting weird.
“Ok but just know Joe Burrow is not allowed through these doors.” Melody says in a serious tone.
“Got it Not allowed through the doors.” I say looking at her.
“I'll just let him in the backyard” I say in my head.
Tumblr media
Getting ready for the party I put on my outfit and did my makeup. As I'm putting on my mascara I get a facetime. I look at the screen and immediately knew it was joe as his contact name is “LOSER NOT WORTH MENTIONING🩷” showed up. Reluctantly I picked up the phone.
“What?” I say in a aggravated tone
“Well hello to you too” Joe says, rolling his eyes on the other side of the phone.
“What are you doing?” he says, trying to change the vibe of the call.
Getting ready-i say in a sassy tone.
“For?”- Joe
“My party”-y/n
“And i didnt get an invite?” joe says with that cocky smile on his face
“Didn't think you needed one considering we were not really together”- I say side eyeing him so hard you could feel it.
“Just because we're not together doesn't mean we cant be friends”- joe
“If this is what you call just friends I would love to see what you do with people you hate.” i say laughing
“You know what i mean” - Joe
“Friends dont have sex nearly every night and talk to each other the way we do.”- y/n
“Well friends also don't hide things from each other” Joe says, placing the phone down so I could see him.
“I didn't invite you because you are not allowed to come, you are not exactly on my friend's good side right now.”- y/n
My friend did not like Joeto much after the shit they had heard about him from endless phone calls to late night gossip sessions at the house. He didn't hurt me like cheat or anything. He is actually a nice guy but anyone who plays mind games and gaslights is a no no in my friend's book.
“Nothing new, I wasn't on their good side when we were together.”- Joe
“But since I can't come to you, how about you come to me?”- Joe
“And why would I do that?” I genuinely asked because who was he to think I would leave my own party for him.
Because we can't get enough of each other no matter how hard we try we both know that we will all go back.
And Joe was right, no matter how hard I tried to move on, no one seemed to understand me like Joe does. He knows everything about me. He accepts me for who I am and vice versa. Still sad we didn't work out due to commitment and trust issues. I think when the time's right Joe and I will be perfect for eachother.
“Well I'll think about it.”- I say
“Good, let me know when you decide.” - Joe
Tumblr media
I was having the time of my life. My friends made sure I didn't even think about joe. So much that I forgot to even remind him if I was coming or not.
In the middle of taking group shots I feel a vibrate coming from my hip.
LOSER NOT WORTH MENTIONING🩷- u still coming??
“Don't do it.”-Kaylee says, looking over my shoulder.
“Who said I was?”
“You didn't say that but the look on your face said otherwise.”
“Okay but would you pass up a chance to just go back to your ex for one night.”
“One night more like two weeks but she didn't need to know that right now.”
“No I wouldn't, he cheated and I'll be damned if I go back to him just to disrespect myself again.”
“Well I won't if i will make you happy.”
“Good”
Okay sooo im going to his house. You guys may say I have little respect for myself but all the respect leaves my body when I see that man. You get in a room alone with Joe Burrow and see how long you last without being all over him. Plus, can't be that bad of an idea right?
Tumblr media
With my luck the rain decided to pour harder and completely drench me. Rushing to my car I hopped in and started it. I quickly texted Joe back telling him I was on my way. Thankfully The drive from my house to joes is not that far at all. Getting out of the car rushing to get to the front door as the rain came down on me. When I kid you not to say this man is a QB he is not quick on his feet off the field. I literally took him forever to open the door.
Walking in the house I'm immediately tackled into hugs and kisses . After a while pushing wavy from him I decided I needed to put my clothes somewhere because wet clothes just don't feel comfortable.
Eventually me and Joe decided to chill on the couch and talk for a while. And lets just say after the talk and cuddles the door was locked to that bedroom and that's how we got to this morning
I woke up to like a million texts from my friends asking me why I disappeared in the middle of the party and I just told them all that I didn't feel well and went up early to sleep. Looking over left I see Joe sleeping with his arms wrapped around me. Part of me felt bad for lying to my friends about going to sleep early but technically i did lie i said I was sleep I just didn't say where.
Tumblr media
hey guys! I'm gonna try to start putting out more fics . I chose to do this as a fun hobby and I just don't want it to feel and chore or job but if you want to request fics you are welcome to do so 🩷

"We're her favorite uncles"|| Joe Burrow x reader
Tumblr media
•pairing: Joe Burrow x reader
•prompt: no prompt, requested by @anda-the-panda
•summary: You and Joe take baby Josie to meet her uncles
•warning: dad joe, newborn baby, crying, mentions of pregnancy, lots of fluff<3
Pulling into the parking lot of Paycor stadium, you couldn't help but smile. Today was the day you and Joe would finally be introducing Josie to some of her uncles, AKA, Joe’s teammates. Just like you and Joe, the guys have been patiently waiting to meet sweet little Josie ever since they found out you were pregnant with her. Once in a spot close enough so the two of you wouldn’t have to walk too far, Joe put the car in park and unbuckled his seatbelt, you doing the same. The two of you stepped out of the vehicle, excited to go inside and introduce the newest member of the Burrow family. Joe grabbed Josie, who was peacefully sleeping in her car seat while you made sure to grab her diaper bag. It took Joe a moment to get Josie’s car seat undone from the backseat, careful not to disturb his sleeping daughter. Once Joe got the carseat out from the car he walked around to the front of his car, there you stood waiting for your two loves with a soft smile.
Joe smiled, “You ready?" You nodded, "Yeah. I’ve been ready since she was in my belly." you smiled, stroking Josie’s soft cheek as she slept. Joe smiled at the gesture, placing his hand on the small of your back as the two of you began walking towards the doors of Paycor. Upon walking into the stadium, you were greeted with an unusual silence.
"Huh," you hummed, "I wonder where everyone is?" Joe smiled slightly, looking down at his sleeping baby, "I think I know where they might be..."
You glanced up at him, "You know something I don't?" He shrugged, smirking slightly, "maybe." You shook your head, following Joe through the stadium. Joe was always full of surprises. but of course you still love him. As the two of you walked through the stadium and got closer to a conference room, you could hear Zac Taylor giving the guys a speech.
"Now that Joe's gone with his new baby, I need you all to step up before he gets back for the championship game. I need your best effort. I get it, we all have shitty days, but-." Zac stopped when he heard gasps throughout the conference room. Zac rolled his eyes and snapped, "Guys! Focus, please-."
"They're alright Zac," Joe spoke, a soft smile on his face as the two of you walked into the room. Joe looked amongst his joyful teammates. A bright smile appeared on your face as you saw that the conference room was full of some of Joe's teammates. The room was decorated with light pink balloons and a sign that read "Welcome Baby Burrow". It warmed your heart knowing everyone was just as excited as you and Joe were about your baby girls arrival. Zac turned to see what all of his guys were gasping and smiling about. His face immediately softened as he saw you and Joe, who was carrying the small bundle of joy in a carseat. "Hey guys, welcome back Joe," Zac smiled. His tone soft was soft as he spoke, careful not to wake Josie. You and Joe walked further into the room, standing next to Zac. You smiled and reached out to give the head coach a brief hug, "Thank you for putting this together Zac." He hugged you back, squeezing you softly as he said, "Of course." Zac pulled away from you and turned to Joe, pulling him in for a brief hug as well.
Joe nodded at Zac as they pulled away from each other. He cleared his throat and looked at all of his teammates, "Hey guys, thanks for coming in today. I've been pretty busy with the new baby, but I promised you about five months ago that you guys would be some of the first people to meet her." Joe glanced at you and flashed you a warm smile to which you returned. "So, with that being said, there's someone Y/n and I want you all to meet." You smiled as you watched Joe carefully take Josie out of her car seat. She grunted and squirmed around a bit at the feeling of being moved, but she soon relaxed when she realized she was in the comfort of her daddy's arms instead. Joe made sure to support her head as he gently held your daughter against his chest. He slowly walked over to his teammates, who all wore smiles of anticipation. "Everyone, this is our daughter, Josie Burrow" Joe proudly announced to his teammates. Ja'Marr stood from his seat and peered over Joe's shoulder. "She's so cute I might cry," he laughed, keeping his voice quiet. "Me too bro, me too," Tee replied. You swore you could see the receiving duos eyes well up with tears as they looked at the tiny baby girl in their quarterbacks arms.
"Trust me," you laughed, "Joe has cried multiple times over how cute she is," you said, putting your hand on Joe's shoulder. "Guilty," he replied with a chuckle, "but look who's talking?" You hummed, smiling sweetly down at your daughter, "you got me there." You stood next to Joe, watching his teammates smile in awe over little Josie. You had never seen so many grown men excited to see a baby before until today. It was such a sweet sight, especially when Sam held Josie. Josie is a small baby in general, but she looked like a preemie sitting in Sam's muscular arms.
"Who wants him next?" Sam asked, looking at his teammates. Tee cleared his throat, "May I?" he looked at you and Joe for approval. You nodded, "Of course! Uncle Tee has to get his Josie snuggles at some point."
Tee grinned at you before carefully taking Josie from Sam. Josie squeaked quietly as she got comfortable in Tee's arms. He looked like a natural as he held her.
"Hey," Ja'Marr spoke, acting as if he was offended, "What about me? Uncle Ja'Marr needs his Josie snuggles too." Ja'Marr asked, clearly joking. Joe chuckled at his best friend, "Don't worry, you get to hold her next."
You chuckled at the guys and turned your attention back to Tee and Josie. "Hi Josie, I'm your uncle Tee," Tee cooed, looking down at the baby in his arms. Josie snuggled further into Tee's arms, instantly getting comfortable, "I remember you when you were just a little thing in your mama's belly." You smiled. It didn't seem that long ago that Josie was just a little peanut growing in your womb.
"Y/n, I gotta say, you and Burrow made one cute baby," Ja'Marr said, peering over Tee's shoulder. "Thanks 'Marr," Joe said with a smile. It was true. You and Joe did make one cute baby girl.
"Well I think she looks just like her daddy," Logan said with a smile as he looked down at Josie. Tee nodded, "Hell yeah she does," he looked down at the baby, and up at you and Joe, "Oops. I didn't mean to curse."
Joe chuckled, "It's fine, she's heard worse," he smirked down at you. Your eyes widened as you lightly smacked his bicep. "Joe!" The guys snickered, clearly amused by what Joe had said. It is true though, Josie has heard worse, but nobody needs to know that. Tee handed Josie off to Ja'Marr, a giddy smile on the mans face as the newborn was placed into his arms. "Oh she's so tiny," he said softly, "Coach, you're next." He said, nodding at Zac. Zac just nodded, a small smile on his face.
"How are you feeling Y/n?" Tee asked, pulling you into a hug. You hugged back him back humming, "Great. It's good to get out of the house and see everyone."
"When's leave over for both of you?" Ja,Marr asked, hesitantly pulling his gaze off of Josie.
"I have a while," you replied, "my boss was very generous with my maternity leave." Tee nodded, turning his attention to Joe. Joe cleared his throat, "I should be back by the championship, but it all depends on how my girls are doing. Family comes first." You smiled and wrapped your arms around Joe's middle. You would never ask Joe to leave the guys during such a big game like the AFC Championship, but you appreciated that he was willing to miss it on order to make sure that you and Josie were OK. Ja'Marr had handed Josie off to Zac, who you swore teared up as soon as she was placed into his waiting arms. Josie snuggled closely against Zac's chest, laying against one of her small arms that was propped against the black material of Zac's shirt. "Hey sweetheart," he cooed, "it's nice to finally meet you. I'm your Uncle Zac. I'm sure your daddy has complained about me a lot while you were in your mommy's tummy," he looked up at Joe with a teasing smile as Joe just rolled his eyes and laughed softly at his words. Zac continued, whispering as he said, "But I promise I'm not as bad as he makes me seem. I'll be your favorite uncle someday, trust me."
You giggled softly, watching with a smile as Zac spoke to your daughter. He was so good with kids, which wasn't surprising since he has a few of his own. Even though he seems cold on the field or at practice, Zac is such a great guy. Zac looked up from Josie to look at all his players, "See guys? I'm already her favorite uncle."
"No, I am," Tee said. Ja'Marr punched his arm, "Ow! What the fu-." he yelped. "You wish it was you," Ja'Marr said, cutting Tee off before he could finish his sentence. Sam cleared his throat, "I hate to break it to you guys...but I think Uncle Sam is her favorite. I got her to smile when she was only a day old."
"Uh, Sam," Joe began, "that was just a reflex from-." Sam held his index finger up, "Shh, shh. Just let me have my moment, dude." Josie started to whimper and squirm in Zac's arms. A few "awes" were heard as Zac started shushing her and telling her that she was alright. However, Josie's soft whimpers soon turned to wails that broke your heart.
"Wow, good job coach. You made baby Burrow cry," Tee said, patting Zac's shoulder. "Higgins, shut up," Zac whispered, looking up at the wide receiver with a pointed look. You couldn't help but chuckle at their exchange. Oh how you've missed seeing these guys.
"Here sweetie, I'll give you to mommy," Zac said as he handed Josie over to you. The infant was still crying and showing no sign of stopping until you or Joe solved whatever was ailing her. "You know, she hasn't fussed at all until now since we've been here," said Joe as he pulled a bottle out from the diaper bag, "I think she likes it here."
"He's just happy because we're here," Ja'Marr cheekily grinned. "Yeah," Tee nodded in agreement, "we're her favorite uncles. Which means, Josie girl doesn't have to worry while she's with us. We got her."
"Thank you guys," you smiled, thankful for all the love Joe, Josie, and you have received from all of the guys since you announce that Baby Burrow was on the way. "She doesn't have a lot of biological uncles," you glanced down at Josie, a soft smile on your face as you spoke, "but she's got a whole bunch right here."
Joe quickly came back from warming up Josie's bottle. He walked back into the room and held the bottle out for you to grab. You walked closer to him, taking the bottle from his hand as he carefully took Josie out of your arms. He brought the nipple of the bottle down to his baby girls mouth. Josie latched on and immediately started suckling away, happy to have some warm milk in her belly. You and Joe both looked down at your baby girl with happy smiles on your faces. You heard a sniffle, which caused you and Joe to luck up. You saw Zac wipe at his eyes. "Coach?" Joe asked, furrowing his eyebrows. "Are you OK?" You asked, concern evident in your voice.
Zac nodded, laughing slightly, "Yeah, yeah I'm good. I'm just," he took a deep breath, releasing it before he said, "I'm really proud of you, Joe. I'm proud of you both. You have a beautiful little family," he whispered the last part, a genuine smile on his face. You and Joe had never seen Zac get emotional like this before. You looked up at Joe, frowning slightly as you saw tears well up in blue his eyes. Joe handed Josie off to you and walked over to Zac, the two embraced each other. Mumbled whispers could be heard as the two shared an emotional hug. It meant a lot to Joe that his head coach was proud of him for something that wasn't football related. Joe looked up to Zac in many ways, fatherhood being one of them. Soon, all of the guys joined in, hugging as a team. The Bengals bond is such a wonderful thing that you are so honored to be apart of. Now, your baby girl gets to be a part of that, too.
"Y/n, join in," Tee smiled, gesturing for you to join, "I would, but I got a baby to feed," you chuckled, nodding down to the infant in your arms. "You and Josie are a part of this family too, come on," Logan said, ushering you over. You looked down at Josie and smiled, she looked back up at you with her big, beautiful blue eyes as she ate. "You heard him peanut, let's go." you spoke softly to your daughter. You walked over, securely holding Josie against your chest as you were brought into the group embrace. You felt a squeeze on your back, so you squeezed back. You all pulled away, going back to where you were standing before. Joe and Zac pulled away last, wiping their eyes. Zac clapped Joe' shoulder and nodded. Joe walked back over to you and Josie. You offered him a warm smile, to which he returned.
"Hey Y/n, can I take her?" Sam asked, softly. You nodded, handing her off to Sam. Sam held Josie in one arm, using the other to hold the bottle she was halfway done with. "Thanks," he smiled, before cooing down at the baby.
You nodded, turning to Joe and pulling him into a tight hug. "You OK?" You felt him nod against you, "Yeah, I'm great. Just really happy." You smiled softly, "I love you Joey." He hummed, "I love you too."
You squeezed him gently before letting go and placing a kiss on his cheek. Sam had finished feeding Josie, despite all the complaints from the other guys. There were about five others who wanted to feed Josie, but Sam kept her all to himself. After talking with everyone and passing Josie around one final time for about another half hour, you and Joe decided it was time for you to leave. Josie would be due for another feeding, and you had left her other bottle at home, so you didn't really have a choice to stay longer. You hugged the guys and said your goodbyes as Joe strapped Josie into her carseat. Joe then took his turn to say his goodbyes. As you walked out of the stadium, you and Joe had one arm wrapped around each other's back while you held Josie's car seat in your other hand.
"I think it's safe to say Josie loves her uncles," you smiled. Joe chuckled in amusement, "And I think it's safe to say Josie's uncles love her too."
With that, the three of you walked to the car, ready to head home after a much needed day with the Bengals, or as they like to call themselves, Josie's favorite uncles.

On and Off Duty Whiplash (König&Reader)
CW: minor blood and injury
Tumblr media
It wasn't really something you ever focused too hard on, but it became clear to you how different König was on missions than he was at base, idling away the time.
The first time you met him was when you joined KorTac, on your first mission with the group, and he seemed like he had a powerful personality. Rough, hard, aggressive. If his gunplay was anything to go by, at least. The sharp tone of his orders, getting your small team to form up for a breach. The subtle growl in his voice when he declared the room clear. The lowered pitch when he ordered you directly to take a silent kill. You didn't think you'd ever see his eyes smile.
But first impressions aren't the best at telling you everything about a person. He'd be around you from time to time, checking in and asking how your night was. He was professional, a few words after training or a nod in passing. At first your preconceived perception of him made you think he just preferred keeping things short, since he didn't ask much more than that.
It was when you found yourself talking to some other recruits as well as him that your perception shifted. He didn't say a lot, only really responding with a few words when spoken to directly, but his tone was soft. He didn't keep a tense or intimidating stance as he stood around, and he seemed to bend down a bit around some of the shorter members. Some of the recruits were quite intimidated by him at first, but he always spoke softly and made sure to be friendly and polite.
You paid more and more attention over the first month. Whenever he saw himself in a mirror, he'd take a second to adjust his sniper hood and check that it was clean. His voice was a little higher and quieter around new people, but lowered over the month as he got to know you, and you got to know him. You had asked him upfront about it, and he shrugged and said it was just how he was. There wasn't really any reason to question it beyond that. You had started becoming friends with him, heard him laugh, seen his eyes light up as he smiled under his hood, so you accepted it. It truly wasn't so simple as narrowing a person down to just one aspect of them.
Around base, he would joke with you, laugh with you. He even gave you a nickname. Maus. German for, well, mouse. Because you're shorter than him. “I don't mean it in a mean way.” he had reassured you. “I actually like mice.”
He used it more often over time. You just finished working out after really pushing yourself to beat your personal best, finally calling it quits for the day when you do? He uses it. “You're getting better, Maus. Just don't push yourself too hard, ja?” You're sitting in the cafeteria with your lunch, the stress of preparing for the next mission getting to you? He's sitting down with you, using it. “Just remember to take a breath, okay Maus?” You're heading to bed? He's using it as you say goodnight to him. “Gute Nacht, Maus. Hope you rest well.”
Tumblr media
One mission, you get cornered, knocked down with three AQ taking their sweet time to bask in beating you. Konig heard your cries over comms earlier, and he's in time to help.
In a word, efficient.
In two words, brutally efficient.
You can't help but stare up at him from the floor, your breath a little ragged and your head throbbing from where one of the men thrust the butt of his gun against your skull. You start to recover, propping yourself up on your elbows, as he steps over the bodies to you. He kneels, his hood decorated with blood, and offers a gloved hand to you, slick from a messy knife kill. A small flicker of relief flashed in his hard stare.
He uses your nickname again.
“I've got you, Maus.”
That's just how he was.

Genderbent!Loud Siblings x Reader
Linka groans from the sight of her paper. Her test was marked with an F. She rests her head on the desk, defeated. “I don't get it, Claudia. Usually, I'm a good student but lately it's been all C's and D's and now an F.”
Claudia grabbed Linka’s test paper and grimaced at it. “Ugh, and a frowny face too. Girl, I cannot.” Claudia’s reply made Linka groan even more, disturbing others around them. “If I don't turn this around, I could fail fifth grade!”
“Linka, you can't! If I go to middle school without you, I could fall in with the wrong social group, and get frosted lips, and start being into bubble nails." Claudia shivered.
Linka just stared at her best friend blankly almost lost hope but she remembered she knew someone who could get her to tutor.
That is… no other than Levi!
“No.” Levi refused while staring blankly at his sister. The two siblings are at home. Linka approached her brother the first thing after she came home from school.
“But, Levi!” Linka whined, Levi is the only one who could help her right now as he is the prodigy intellectually among her brothers. With no way out, she tried to do puppy dog eyes at him to try and persuade her younger brother to give in and help her.
“Cute, but you really thought that would work on me? Sorry, Link. Unfortunately I am completely booked. I got math with Lars on Mondays, geology with Lynn on Tuesdays, finger painting with Leon on Wednesdays, et cetera et cetera." He showed Linka his schedule for the rest of the month which made the girl sigh.
“Oh, since you did the puppy eye thing, I’ll give you an advice. I've heard through the tutoring grapevine that some high school students tutor for extra credit.” With that, Levi turned to walk away from Linka.
“Hey, you said the puppy eye thing didn’t work!”
“Oh, pish-posh.” Levi grinned and left. At a distance, he could be heard yelling at Loni about being tardy with the Pre-Cal tutoring session.
Your phone dinged as someone sent you a message about being interested of booking you as a tutor. Finally, the time has come! You’ve been growing anxious about being a tutor. Although this isn’t the first time teaching another student, it’s still nerve-wracking since it’s a stranger this time.
It really wasn’t your idea to offer tutoring sessions but your friend suggested that it might be a good idea to build an image for college applications in the future.
You opened the message and found that you would be tutoring a fifth grader since she’s bound to flunk if she continues to fail the remedial. Your body relaxed a little knowing the lessons would be a bit easier to teach and nothing could go wrong.
You ringed the door bell to what you assumed the Loud Residence as this was the address the tutee gave you. Within a minute, a young girl with striking white hair opened the door for you and gave you a welcoming smile. “Hello, is this the Loud Residence?” you gave her your professional smile you practiced prior.
Her eyes glimmered and gave you an affirming nod. “Yep! You must be my tutor. I am Linka.”
After introducing yourself, she led you to their dining table and set up her textbooks. “I really appreciate this, (Y/n). I have a big multi-subject test coming up, and I need to ace it.”
You smiled at her, “I’m sure you’ll be able to ace it, but after thorough assessments from our sessions of course. So, I’ll do my best to help you.”
“And I thought that angels only exist in heaven.” Linka dramatically says while clenching her fist on top of her chest. You only laughed at her.
“So, I'm like, if you literally don't know the difference between rugby and football— Oh, Linka brought a new girl friend around.” A male voice spoke which caught both of your attention. His tone was a bit playful.
“Loki, get out! Can’t you see we’re studying here?” Linka hissed but the boy never faltered. “Oh really? This is our kitchen, Link. I can do whatever I want.” You turned to look at him as you can feel his presence between you and Linka. He ruffled Linka’s hair, satisfied at annoying his sister.
Must be a family of blondes. Loki has a common blonde hair compared to Linka. He also has a light stubble that complimented that growing smirk of his. He suddenly turned his head and made eye contact with you. “Don’t ogle too much, it’ll be harder to concentrate.” He grinned at you, but instead of being flustered, his comment only irked you.
“Wipe that smirk off your face before I do it for you.” You undoubtedly replied not thinking it through. You only came to your senses when it suddenly became quiet and Loki looked at you dumbfounded. Your cheeks became flushed and felt embarrassed. What were you doing in your first day of tutoring?!
You hanged your head low, mentally facepalming yourself. You’re sure Loki caught on about your reply. “Yeah, right! Give him an uppercut!” Linka instigated.
Yeah… an uppercut…
While looking down, you saw that Loki dropped his phone and handed it to him. “Loki, you dropped your phone.” However, when you looked up, you’re sure that his cheeks were tinted pink or maybe your eyes were just playing with you.
His silence broke Linka from her uppercut suggestions. “Loki, are you okay?”
Loki rubs the nape of his neck and trying to build “I uh… I am… I’m fi—“
“I heard a goose! I call dibs!" A young blonde came into view holding a net, however upon seeing you, he was a bit confused. “What’s a pretty stranger doing in this house?!”
“A what?” Another boy came into the kitchen. He’s wearing a clay mask and has cucumber slices in his eyes. He removes the slices and made eye contact with you. “AAH! MY FACE!”
Yep, a family of blondes. Your claim was disproven immediately when the rest of the siblings came into the kitchen probably curious about the commotion.
Ah… there are lots of them.
All of them started talking at the same time. Unfortunately, you can’t comprehend any of this as their voices became inaudible. You just stared at them amused of how this family caters a lot of siblings.
The one who cleansed his on-going skincare came back and greeted you. “Hey, guys. Oh, Linka, I didn't know you were entertaining. Hi. I'm Loni.” Is this guy for real? He acted as if he wasn't here minutes ago. You can’t help but let out a laugh about his silliness which caught the siblings’ attention.
You became self-conscious when they all stared at you. Their stares made you a bit shy. “Oh, I’m sorry. I’m Linka’s tutor, (Y/n). It’s nice to meet you all.” You nervously laugh.
“Ugh, could all of you please get out? We’re trying to study!” Linka snapped at them but the sibling with a crown pushed a chair between Linka and I, and sat, "It's a free country, Linka. We can go where we want to."
"I'm standing here!" The boy with the net stood next to you while smiling ear to ear. You're now trapped between these cuties. They resemble each other, must be twins.
"The heck you are!" The princely twin retorted, but before any punches were thrown you immediately disputed it. "Boys, I know you're interested in joining Linka and I, but she can't concentrate if eyes are observing her." You grabbed something from your purse
"And mouths yapping" Linka raised an eyebrow at his brothers.
"Yes- wait-, what I mean is she can't focus if there are distractions." You grabbed something from your purse. "Here, I'll give these to you since I'm hoping you'll behave accordingly." You handed each twin a lollipop and gave them a wink.
Their smiles grew wide and immediately shoved it in their mouths. "Roger that!" They saluted and walked away with puffed chests. You turned to the remaining brothers. "We'll just occupy the space for a couple of hours, if you don't mind."
"No problem, Love." A brunette with a faux hawk leaned his arm on your chair gave you a boyish smile. "You can be here anytime of the day. You can even join me on my rock sessions upstair-- Ow! Lane!" On instinct, you leaned your head away when a brunette with braces karate chopped his head. "No, you're not, you just want both of your strings to get attached. Haha! Get it? Strings!"
"Come on, (Y/n)! Let's go somewhere a little less crowded." Linka dragged you away from her swarming brothers. She's clearly annoyed with her brows furrowed.
She led the both of you to the living room and settled on the couch. When she was opening the textbooks, voices were heard outside the house. "The one who catches Geo wins!" The younger brothers were playing in competition with each other, and Linka could see that they were showing off to impress her tutor.
"What are they doing?! They're literally disturbing you. I'm sorry, (Y/n)." Loki sat next to you on the couch and started typing on his phone. His presence made you a bit shy, being this close made you notice his arms' lean muscles, and his full eyebrows. You instantly looked away as he might caught on that you were staring. "Ooh, Linka, you have so many books. What's the story about?" You were caught off guard by a voice coming from behind you. When you turned your head, you saw Loni peeking his head behind the couch. He emits a clean and sweet scent, and he also looks neat.
"I think it'll be better if we went to my room instead." Linka gathered her books and gave the stink eye to her older brothers while escorting you to her room. They only responded with a smirk. Living with ten brothers her whole life, Linka knew what her brothers' antics are all about. They can't even hide that their expressions are living subtitles of their intensions.
After entering upstairs, you saw a brother with an eyeglass interrupting Linka for dragging you to her room, “I need to borrow (Y/n) for a second. I'm tutoring Lexx.” She only gave him a questioning look. You look your tutee with worry, but maybe it wouldn’t hurt to help a little.
“Okay, but I can’t stay for more than 5 minutes. I’ll just explain an specific topic they’re having a hard time with.” Levi stared at you with a creepy smile and made a creepy giggle to go along with it.
“This is called a gluteus maximus, otherwise known as the butt.” Levi pointed his pointing stick at the side of your ass cheek. "Wait, what?!" You jerked away from Levi face flushed from embarrassment. You held your hands up to the level of your bust and backed away. "I'm so sorry, I know it's educational but I think I'm not the the best model-- Oof!" Your back bumped into someone's torso. Before you could apologize you were interrupted, "Don't worry about it, (Y/n). These boys are just getting cheeky." Lane came in and pinched both Levi and Lexx's ears which earned a yelp from each sibling. "Wait, I just made a pun! Get it? Cheeky?" Lane laughed to himself.
"All right, all right, CLASS DISMISSED!" Linka grabs your arm and dragged you away from the scene.
"I'm sorry about that, (Y/n)." Linka opened her door and got scared when a goth kid started talking "I wrote a poem about you. (Y/n). Pretty face. Mysterious eyes. Pretty cool for a living girl. (Y/n)."
"Everybody out!" Lexx screamed at Linka's door. "It's time for The Knight, The Princess and The Dragon. You're the Princess, (Y/n). You don't have to do anything your beauty is enough." Lexx giggled. "Lexx, what did we agree on earlier?" You raised a questioning eyebrow at him. "Oopsies." Lexx nervously laughed and bowed before leaving Linka's room.
"Finally, we can get down to business." Linka rejoiced and set her books on bed. "I'm so sorry about my brothers, (Y/n)."
"I'm sorry too, Linka. I should've been more stern with your brothers because tutoring you is my priority." You apologized too. "It's okay, you just met us. I'm sure you just wanted to help." Linka is so cute and can't help but hug her at being understanding. You girls laughed and continued studying.
Hours later, Linka completed the assessments you provided for her. Surprisingly, she got good marks. "Linka, you're spot-on in all of your lessons. Even surrealist art." Linka looked at her assessment scores in confusion, "It's weird. I thought I needed so much help."
"May I ask what happened the day you failed your test?"
"Well, Mr. DiMartino became the substitute for the day--" "Wait Mr. DiMartino? The hunk teacher in elementary?" You laughed at Linka but she only gave you a questioning look. "Girl, no wonder why you're getting distracted and failing your test. Mr. DiMartino is so hot that girls ogle at him and lost their focus."
"Oh my god, you are so right." Linka must've went through a flashback while you're yapping about Mr. DiMartino "I almost failed too because of him. A piece of advice, try not to look too much and you won't worry about failing fifth grade." You winked at Linka and patted her back.
You arranged your things and Linka escorted you downstairs. "It's all in your head, Link. There's no reason you shouldn't be getting top marks on your exam. Well, I guess you won't be needing me anymore." You gave her a hug.
You could hear the whining from the younger brothers about you leaving while the older ones frowned. "Thanks for having me guys!"
Linka tapped your arm just before you left the door. "Can we still hang out after this?" She looked at you with that puppy dog eyes. you only grinned aat her, "You really thought that's gonna work on me? I am a professionally at that, but since you tried, we can 'literally' hang out." You peeked behind Linka and see the guys smile a little.
I guess these dudes needed a playmate.

Tumblr media
Max Atreides was certain of one thing after initiating a holy war in his name. There was only one way to solidify his claim to the throne after the execution of his house by indirect government orders. He had to marry Princess Y/N of House Corrino, the only daughter of the emperor who had ruled until that fateful day.
“If you are to advance your claims, Duke Atreides, I must insist that you first extend the courtesy of allowing my family to defend themselves with fairness and honor,” the princess said with calm and decorum that characterized her, despite her entire family being trapped on the planet Arrakis.
In her desperation to find a solution that would preserve both her dignity and lineage, she proposed a traditional duel to death to decide her fate.
“My reign shall not be one of tyranny, Princess Y/N. Thus, I deem your request justified in the name of the noble dynasty you represent” the last survivor of the famed House Atreides replied. His firm and resolute tone did little to calm the nerves the princess felt within, though she was grateful that the facial adornments of royal etiquette partially concealed her face. “Furthermore, there remains a blood debt owed to House Harkonnen for the murder of my father.”
In recent months, the princess had heard of Max Atreides and the rebellion he bore on his shoulders. His name was not unfamiliar to her; in the past, House Atreides had been one of the closest allies to House Corrino due to their influence and wealth. Plans were discussed, alliances were forged, and a possible marriage between the two heirs was quietly hinted at within the shadows of the court. However, the rising popularity of Duke Jos Atreides among the empire's most powerful houses led the emperor to reconsider giving his only daughter’s hand in marriage.
By the time this occurred, Y/N and Max were already aware of each other’s existence. In their free time, they conversed in the company of the princess’s court and the guardians of the young heir, who would tell them stories of Max’s father’s exploits as a diplomatic ruler. It was a sorrowful day when young Max stopped frequenting the gardens of Kaitain.
She never questioned her father’s reasons, as her upbringing dictated. Yet, Max Atreides remained a fond memory from her childhood. What, if anything, was left of that Atreides she once knew?
Max Atreides, covered in blood after a fierce battle against Lewis Harkonnen—who had been chosen as the emperor's champion to contest the throne—limped towards the royal entourage, where the emperor and his court watched the brutal confrontation. The triumphant shouts of the Fremen celebrating their leader’s victory echoed through the air, heightening Princess Y/N's alarm.
Noticing that the new emperor showed no intention of lowering the weapons he had used just moments ago to take his cousin’s life, the princess, driven by an involuntary force, spoke again:
“The blood debt has been paid. Spare my father’s life, and I will willingly become your wife.”
The relationship between Y/N and her father had always been cold and distant. She was not the long-desired male heir he had hoped to continue the Corrino dynasty, which had cast doubt on the succession in the eyes of the entire empire. Some houses saw this as a unique opportunity to place their last name in the line of succession, but the princess had not concerned herself with this—until today. “The throne is yours.”
Deep within, she silently thanked the universe for Max Atreides’s victory.
Without uttering a word, his heavy breath and gaze so piercing it compelled those present to look away, Max extended his hand towards the emperor, displaying the ring bearing the emblem of his house on his ring finger. All were stunned by this gesture; even the Bene Gesserit, always observant and calculating, could do nothing but watch and ensure the well-being of the imperial princess.
When no response came, Max struck the ground with his foot, creating a thunderous sound that shook the chamber and forced the former emperor to react. He took Max’s hand and slowly placed a soft kiss on the Atreides family ring, thus accepting his defeat and the end of his dynasty. He knelt, followed by everyone in the room—except Y/N.
This did not go unnoticed by the new emperor, who returned her gaze with an unreadable expression aimed at his future empress consort.
(…)
After the army was dispatched to quell those who refused to acknowledge the new ruler and the witnesses to the ascension of a new name to the throne of the known universe had been dealt with, Max Atreides could no longer delay his inevitable reunion with Princess Y/N.
In an adjacent room to the grand hall where the events had unfolded, the princess was trying to calm the royal entourage that remained by her side. She revealed her ability to suppress her emotions, handling the critical situation with calm, while her ladies-in-waiting helped her remove the dozen adornments she was wearing.
“Your Highness, the emperor wishes to speak with you alone,” one of Max’s commanders announced, bursting into the room.
“Of course,” Y/N replied with a touch of sarcasm, though she maintained her courtesy. She could not afford to risk innocent lives over a display of insolence.
With a steady stride, the princess made her way to where the new monarch awaited her, trying to focus her mind and devise a diplomatic strategy that might prevent further outbursts from Max.
“Her Imperial Highness, Princess Y/N Corrino,” announced the guard as she arrived. She entered the room and, with a firm stance, faced Max, keeping a respectful distance.
"In the name of my house, do not question the loyalty of my people, and I urge you to show mercy. I will not dishonor the agreement we made; I only ask that..." Before she could finish her plea, the strong hands of Emperor Atreides seized the princess's waist. She was overwhelmed with surprise, for of all the possible outcomes, this was the least expected.
“The vision of you guiding me into the future has haunted me day and night since I stopped returning to the garden,” Max said, scrutinizing each of her features before continuing. "Princess Y/N, I don’t expect you to understand. Perhaps you can forgive me one day."
Maybe it was the fact that the man who was now holding her as the empire’s most precious treasure had coldly murdered armies and stripped her family of their right to the throne in an instant; the natural response was a loss of confidence in herself.
Max observed cautiously, awaiting his now betrothed’s next move. Many futures lay before them—traumatic deaths, the failure of his cause, and a possible alternative to achieving everything he ever wanted. He could force the princess to submit to him, but that was not what Max desired.
The determination in Y/N’s eyes did not falter. She understood that the emperor was not showing weakness, but strength—a strength that had shaped destiny and now stretched out before them, an inevitable line in time.
“I hope for a peaceful coexistence with you, Your Majesty,” her voice was low but charged with an intensity that Max could comprehend. She could not expect less from a fellow heir like herself. “The torment required to reach this point—I am not innocent. Every pain, every death, the inability to act, makes me complicit.”
Y/N felt the weight of her words, the gravity of what she had revealed. He knew that her family had orchestrated the downfall of his. Though Y/N had no voice or vote in that conspiracy, she felt guilty as if she had perpetuated it with her own hands.
Duke Atreides released her, turning his gaze toward the window offering a desert landscape of the planet. He took a moment before continuing the conversation.
“There’s no need for you to express regret to me, Princess.”
“I only wish to be honest. You mentioned forgiveness first.”
“I wasn’t apologizing for the past.”
She knew that Max’s eyes could see far beyond what anyone could imagine. If the little information the Reverend Mother had shared with her was true, his visions were not mere dreams but premonitions of destiny. The teachings of the Bene Gesserit and her mother made her understand that Max might be the culmination of an entire species' evolution.
And though her conscience resisted accepting that her life no longer belonged solely to her, reality dragged her toward the realization that their fates were irrevocably intertwined. She could only cling to a fragile trust in her future husband.
“Kwisatz Haderach.”
Silence filled the room as they looked at each other, knowing they stood on the brink of monumental change. Max gazed at her intently, his intense blue eyes shining with a mixture of compassion.
“You are the Kwisatz Haderach.”
Slowly, she brought a hand to his face, gently touching Max's jaw, as if to ensure that what she saw was real.
The dilemma in Y/N’s heart was evident. The Max Atreides who had once wandered into her garden no longer existed.
Finally, Y/N nodded, a small sign of acceptance, but enough for Max to feel that the future he had seen was taking hold of everything. With a tenderness that contrasted with the intensity of his previous words, Max drew her close, enveloping her in his arms as if he were protecting her.
“This ends with us,” Y/N murmured, her voice firm and resolute, finding in Max the strength she needed to face the destiny that awaited them.
The destiny he had chosen.

pairing:trevor zegras x drysdale!reader
summary: You and Trevor have been dating for almost 6 months now and have mostly been in the honey moon phase of your relationship. You have yet to get into any fights... until you go out to the bar with the team after their first win of the season.
Masterlist
Tumblr media
You were stood beside trevor at the bar happily celebrating with the team. He was focused on his conversation with John Gibson. You tapped his shoulder to which he brushed you off with his hand.
You huffed walking to the bar to get yourself another drink. You then stayed there for a bit, not long after a large bearded man came over to you, "Hello there darling."
You simply waved to be nice before getting up to head back to the group. The man was quicker though, grabbing your arm.
"leaving so soon?" He asked with a a god awful smirk on his face.
You desperately tried to get Trevors attention but to no avail.
"I have a boyfriend," You said trying to free your arm from the mans grasp.
"Yeah, i've heard that one before, hasn't stopped me," He smirked even more.
"Let me go!" you argued. When the man only gripped your harm harder. You stepped closer to him, kneeing him in the groin. He quickly hunched over relieving your arm.
You went back to the group grabbing Trevors arm, "Trev!"
"what babe," He said annoyed.
You looked him dead in the eye about ready to slap the attitude out of him, "Can we please leave, that guy over there won't leave me alone and I feel so uncomfortable!"
"Maybe in an hour just stay over here," He said turning back to his conversation.
"Are you fucking kidding me?!" You had raised your voice at this point. You angerly walked away. You spotted your brother at the bar getting a new drink.
"Jamie, will you please take me home," You said as your eyes began to slowly gaze over.
"Of course, what happened?" He asked as he led you over to the table to get your jackets.
"I don't wanna talk about it right now, please can I stay at your house tonight?"
He nodded taking your hand and leading you out of the bar.
Once you made it to Jamies apartment you explained what had happened to him.
"I swear, Trevor is a fucking idiot." Jamie said angered by his best friends actions towards you, "I'm gonna call him."
"Please don't Jaim," you looked at your older brother with pleading eyes.
"Alright, you sleep in my bed, I'll take the couch," he spoke softly.
"Thank you," You smiled hugging your brother before heading off to Jamies room.
-----
It had been about 2 hours before a wag mentioned your disappearance to Trevor.
"Hey, do you know where y/n is?" The wag asked Trevor.
"I don't know, she's around here somewhere." Trevor responded.
"We've all been looking for her, she's not here Z." The wag said in a serious tone this time.
"What do you mean she's not here." Trevor now began to worry.
He called you and texted you no answer.
He called Jamie and on the 5th ring it answered.
"What do you want Z?"
"Do you know where y/n is? No one has seen her."
"It took you two hours to realize I took her home? your an asshole Z you know that?"
"Why'd you take her home? Why is she at your place?"
"Are you that fucking clueless? She came to you with a legit problem and you ignored her, you ignored her the whole night."
"I didn't mean too" Trevor tried to defend himself but it was no help.
"Sure you did bud." and with that Jamie hung up.
Trevor quickly called and uber to head to Jamies and talk to you.
Once he arrived he knocked rapidly on the door til Jamie answered.
"She doesn't wanna talk to you." He said sternly.
"Please can I just see her?"
"It's okay Jaim." You said softly standing in the living room facing the door.
"Fine," Jamie rolled his eyes but followed your wishes letting Trevor in.
"I'll be in my room," Jamie said leaving to head to his room.
"baby, im so sorry, you know how I get after hockey games," Trevor argued.
"So your making excuses?"
"No forget I said that, Im so genuinly sorry I didnt listen when you told me about the guy, It was fucked."
He stepped closer to you, grabbing your hands, "Baby im sorry, please forgive me," He said looking at you with pleading eyes, "Let me take you back home."
You rolled your eyes before smiling, "Fine."
"thank god!" Trevor said before leaning down and kissing you. You pulled away smiling.

https://www.tumblr.com/peachhcs/768160196490117120/need-to-know-if-sammy-ever-finds-out-about-what
lowkey want sammy to go off and kevin and break up with him and make sure he deletes the video
part 4! keep in mind that in the other wonder years fics + the fics before will and samy get together that samy genuinely doesn’t know how she feel and doesn’t really figure it out until her and will go to her senior prom together — just to clear up if there’s any confusion about that!
i also totally made this way too long at 2.3k words OOPS but enjoy!! lowkey also gave kevin a small redemption arc bc it just kind of came out as i was writing lmao
au masterlist | previous part
the things will told samy replayed in her mind on a loop like a broken record. she tossed and turned all night thinking about how kevin literally punched one of her best friends all because will tried standing up for her when kevin's friends started saying shitty things. she had an idea of what was being said because she's heard it a few times before in passing and rumors circulating around the school. usually, those things would just roll off her back, mainly because her brothers taught her to not let that type of thing mess with you too much.
and that's what samy did. she always thought tyler was a gross person anyway because of how he was always trying to hook up with a new girl each weekend. the thing that was bugging samy the most was kevin and will getting into a fight over her. their relationship had been a bit tense the past month. kevin kept saying things and samy kept trying to ignore him and denying all of it, but now she wasn't so sure anymore after finding out him and will fought about the one thing that's been making her and kevin's relationship so strained.
"bye guys!" samy exclaimed as she walked the guys out. all of them plus marcie and kevin just finished their semi-bi-weekly friday moving night. it was kevin's first time being invited after him and samy had been talking for awhile. she was excited for him to start bonding with the people she was so close with.
once everyone was out of sight, samy trailed back into the living room where kevin was. the boy smiled a bit, opening his arm up as samy sat back down next to him. the warmth of the blankets returned after standing in the doorway for so long.
"so, what did you think?" she asked nervous but excitedly.
"they were cool," kevin nodded.
"i think they liked you, too. hopefully we can all hang out again soon, or you can come with me to some of their games," the youngest hughes grinned as she squeezed kevin's arm a bit tighter.
"yeah, for sure. you know, i had no idea you and will grew up together," the boy hummed, his tone a bit too light to pick up on any envy yet.
"oh, yeah. we go way back. i've known will since we were babies. he's one of my best friends now," samy grinned and she missed the way kevin's jaw clenched listening to her say that.
"yeah, you two are really close," this time the envy did slip out through his tone. samy caught wind of it and snapped her gaze in his direction.
"what? are you jealous or something?" she laughed a bit, tugging on his arm and still trying to find amusement in it.
"should i be?" his green eyes pierced into her skin and samy slowly understood he was being serious. she dropped his arm.
"no? we've been best friends our whole lives. i've never even seen him that way," the soccer player couldn't even begin to think of will as something other than a friend and she was confused on where this idea was coming from.
"you better tell him and everyone else that," kevin muttered.
"oh, come on, kev. our friends have been teasing us about this since they met us. it's just a joke. we've never even done anything. he's like a brother to me," samy continued laughing in hopes to ease up some of the tension building. although, she did fail to mention how her and will kissed in her bathroom back in april and how something in her hadn't been the same since.
"i'm just saying, hughes. guys can tell and guys can feel when there's other feelings going on," with that, kevin looked at his phone and stood up. "i gotta get going anyway. mom wants me back home."
samy didn't have anything else to say. the thoughts in her mind were confusing her along with her and will's kiss from april and then again at the beginning of the school year. those were all just for fun though, right? she made it clear she was joking and will did too. it wasn't even serious.
"see you later," kevin mumbled before leaving out of the same door everyone else left from ten minutes ago.
since then, samy and kevin kept getting in little tiffs about what was going on between her and will. something would happen that would set the brunette off and he'd bring it up after the fact. samy would just deny it all and tell him he was overthinking it—because it was true. right? there was nothing going on between her and will.
there never would be.
but then there was homecoming. the night samy and kevin went public with their new relationship and the night samy started wondering if things really were changing.
she kept noticing the way will took every chance he got to look at her. his eyes were quite literally glued to her and it sent a funny, but good feeling through samy's chest. she kind of liked the way he was looking at her. and then when the guys jumped in for a few photos, she felt the tight grip will had on her waist and how close he was to her and she also saw the way kevin looked like he wanted to snap will's head off from where he stood off to the side.
and that's when samy started wondering if there was something more there and maybe kevin was right.
but he couldn't be. she didn't like will. he didn't like her. they were friends. nothing more, nothing less.
ryan mentioned something to her that night after she got back. they didn't really talk about it, but he hinted something and she understood what he was trying to say. still though, samy chose to firmly believe that there was nothing going on between her and will.
the youngest hughes was at kevin's house the next day. she knocked a good three times on his front door and then crossed her arms waiting for him to come out. there were heavy footsteps before the door swung open. kevin paused in the entryway, surprised to see samy on his porch.
"oh, hey. i didn't know you were coming over," he smiled a bit, but his smile disappeared when she didn't reciprocate it.
"we need to talk."
kevin glanced around like there were other people around, but when he only saw samy, he slowly shut his door and stepped onto the porch with her.
"okay," the two sat down on the bench his mom had outside. samy knew kevin probably had an idea about what she was gonna say, so she decided to just rip the bandaid off and stop beating around the bush.
"i know you punched will the other night at the game," she began.
the boy's eyes narrowed and then he jumped up like he was gonna take another swing, "did he tell you that? i'm gonna fucking—"
samy grabbed his arm to bring him back to reality, "i was gonna find out sooner or later, kevin. you really thought hiding that from me was gonna work?" she sneered.
"who the fuck told you?" he snapped back.
"why does it even matter who told me? why the fuck did you punch him? if you didn't want him standing up for me, you should've done it first," the girl snapped right back at him. kevin's face twisted.
"well in case you wanted to know, he did confirm he liked you because he'd fuck you too if he had the chance," the brunette grumbled and hearing that made samy's insides twist but not in a bad way.
"so what? that gave you the excuse to punch him?"
"it confirmed what i've known all along and what you've kept denying since we got together," the boy pulled his arm away.
"you could've seriously hurt him, kevin. i don't care how you feel, you don't fucking punch someone because they aren't making you happy. would you punch me?" the soccer player stood up so they were face to face.
"he punched me back just so you know. he actually tackled me to the ground if that makes any difference."
"why are you so obsessed with this? why not just break up with me if you think i like him?" they were going in circles at this point.
"because i wanna keep thinking that i'm wrong and there's nothing between you two. i wanna believe you like me. you keep fucking denying it so i'm choosing to believe you, but every time i'm around you guys i'm told otherwise. why can't you just fucking admit it to yourself, samy? why can't you admit to me that you like him?" now kevin was just pleading for some honesty and as much as samy was supposed to hate him right now, his words stung.
"because i don't like him! i've never liked him!" she yelled at him.
"there it is again. you're lying. i know you're lying. i can see it in your eyes. your tell is that you get defensive when you're lying," kevin pointed his finger right in her face which she pushed away.
"well maybe it's because he's my best friend and has been my best friend since we were kids and i'm just so terrified to lose that! and maybe i just kept making myself belief he didn't like me because then it would save all of us so much hurt in the long run because dating your best friend always goes bad. have you ever liked someone that's so close to you that it just scares you more than anything because you don't wanna do anything that will put you into a position to lose them? i like you, kevin. that was never fake. i think it just..i just tried pushing away other feelings too in the process and it didn't end well," everything all just spilled out and samy dropped back down to the bench while hiding her face in her hands.
a beat of silence passed between the two before kevin sunk back onto the bench next to her. he hesitated for a second, wondering if it would be the right movie, but ultimately placing his hand on her back.
"shit, i'm sorry. i-i didn't mean to.."
"no, i'm sorry. i shouldn't have snapped. i shouldn't have punched will. i shouldn't have done a lot of things," kevin shook his head. "if the feelings were really real, then hurting one another wouldn't be a question. i know it's scary, but i don't think you guys would put one another into a position to lose the other."
"i don't even really know how i feel, but all i know is that i don't wanna lose will just because of some stupid feelings. i also don't wanna lose you either, but i just don't think we work in a relationship. i think i just need to be by myself before i even think about a serious relationship," she met the boy's gaze. it was sad, but he slowly nodded.
"i get it, really. friend then?" the boy wondered and samy nodded. she hugged his side.
"just a few things. don't punch my friends ever again, okay? and can you please delete that video?"
"yes and yes. i promise i won't. i'm sorry i did," kevin sighed as he pulled his phone out so samy could watch him delete the video.
"i'm not the one who needs to hear that apology," she watched as he found it in his camera roll and pressed delete and then went to recently deleted to permanently delete.
"yeah, i know. i doubt will would wanna hear me out though," kevin and samy exchanged a glance.
"if i talk to him, do you promise to apologize to him?" the girl asked and kevin nodded.
kevin caught will a few days later at a community soccer game samy was playing in with her club team. the blonde caught kevin coming towards them, his face twisting a bit but the brunette raised his arms as a surrender.
"i'm not here to punch you again if that's what you're wondering," the brunette mumbled.
"if you're here to start anything you better turn back around right now," ryan cut in because he did not want to deal with another fight.
"i'm not, i swear. i was hoping will and i could talk?" kevin looked over at the blonde who stared at him for a good five seconds before slowly nodding.
"yeah, sure," will said and the two walked a bit out of earshot.
"first, i wanna say i'm sorry for punching you. it was uncalled for and i shouldn't have done that, so i'm sorry. second, the video is completely gone, so you don't have to worry about that anymore," kevin explained and apologized.
"i guess i shouldn't have punched back either," will nodded.
"can we just call it even? samy and i aren't together anymore so you don't have to worry about that anymore," the brunette stared at their shoes.
"i'm sorry you guys broke up," the hockey player rocked on his heels and kevin just shrugged.
"it's whatever. we're still friends and it's not weird or anything. we're good though?" kevin held his hand out as a truce. will stared at it before shaking it and the boys patted one another's backs.
"sorry again, will. thanks for talking," the blonde nodded and the two finally parted ways. will went back over to ryan and gabe who were curiously listening in.
"what was that about? gabe wondered.
"just..apologizing for real. i guess him and samy really did breakup," will explained and he watched his friends' gazes widen in surprise.
"oh shit. i didn't think she was actually serious," ryan mumbled.
"yeah, i guess. at least we don't have to deal with him anymore," the blonde shrugged a bit.
they were right though. kevin wasn't an issue for the rest of the year which meant samy and will were left to figure out what really was going on between them and how long samy could keep denying the feelings she had anytime her best friend was around.

roommates to lovers–friends to lovers–slow burn
suguru geto x fem reader
synopsis: Suguru Geto is your best friend and roommate. After a year of living together, there have been more than one opportunity to throw away your friendship. The question is, would you get lucky as fall in love for the rest of your days?
ao3
🎧🌙🧺📖🕯️🧸🤍
please comment and let me know what you think, i'm very excited about this series 🤍
"Suguru, how does it taste?" You twist your fork into the pasta noodles, hovering the fork over your mouth.
"Maybe if you let me try it, I can give you an answer." Your roommate, Suguru Geto, said flatly. You've been living together for over a year now since you both got "adult jobs" you're able to afford the luxuries of life. Like an apartment and food.
"I've given you plenty of time.” You tap your index finger impatiently on the table. You refused to take the first bite, it always had to be Suguru. It's an unspoken rule.
Suguru rolled his eyes, taking a forkful of pasta and slipping it into his mouth. As he chewed, he nodded in approval. "It's great as always."
You smile to yourself, taking a bite of your pasta. You tried a new recipe today, making your own homemade sauce. Suguru is always down to be your guinea pig when it comes to new recipes. The only reason he doesn't forget to to eat is because of you.
"So, any plans for your birthday?" You ask innocently, when in reality you already planned a surprise party for Suguru at your apartment. You already invited his friends: Gojo, Nanami, Shoko, and Haibara. Suguru didn't have many friends. Unlike his best friend, Satoru Gojo, he is quiet and well spoken. He doesn't think rashly, or act on impulse. Everything Suguru Geto does is well thought out, almost calculated.
"Nope." He put a 'pop' sound at the end of the word. "I plan on staying in and reading the new book I just picked up."
"Ooooh." You're interested in what the book is about. One thing you and Suguru have in common is your love for reading. Being able to escape your reality and dive into another one is a feeling unlike any other.
"It's a thriller, the woman at the bookstore recommended it to me." Suguru sipped his water, taking his last bite of pasta.
"She gives you recommendations now?" You asked, almost in an accusatory way. You switched your tone when you noticed the attitude flying off your tongue. "She's never said 2 words to me."
"Yeah, we got talking the other day when I was in there." He got up to put his dishes in the sink, grabbing your bowl to go with it. "She looked like she needed someone to talk to."
I bet she likes him. You thought to yourself. Suguru hasn't brought any women back to your apartment in a few months, nor has he talked about any women he's interested in. Go figure he would meet one at a bookstore. How... romantic.
You wiped your hands on your apron, getting any residue off your fingertips. You heard Suguru turn on the sink behind you, starting to wash the dishes.
If you cooked, Suguru cleaned. Always.
"Suguru, can you help me with this?" You try to untie your apron, noticing you made a knot.
"Sure." He turned off the water, careful not to waste it. He made sure to dry his hands before his fingertips grazed your shoulder, sending goosebumps across your skin. "Damn, you really made a knot." He pried at the knot, finally getting leeway. His left hand stayed on your shoulder as he pulled one of the ties, letting the front of the apron fall. Suguru reached for the other knot near your waist.
"I can get it." You start messing with the knot.
"Okay miss independent." Suguru stayed close behind you as you struggled with the ties. His eyes could've burned a hole in your neck.
You sighed, admitting defeat. "Fine." Your hands fall to your sides.
"That's what I thought." Suguru's voice was soft as he untied the knot at your waist.
You and Suguru have had a handful of "almosts" together. Almost getting too close. Almost tasting him.
You've both chose to forget every spark between you, for better or for worse.
"For the record, you can still call me miss independent. It has a ring to it." You slipped off your apron, hanging it up on the hook adjacent to the refrigerator.
"Yeah, yeah." Surugu turned around to start the dishes again. You stared at the back of him for a moment, his long black locks cascading past his shoulders, half of the volume of his hair up in a bun. His shoulders are wide as you scan down his body, the muscles of his biceps moving to wash the bowl you were just eating out of.
You snap yourself out of whatever trance you're in, grabbing your lighter to light your "marshmallow fireside" candle. You and Suguru's place was always cozy and clean, almost like the two of you.
It feels like home.
You heard the water turn off, letting you know that Suguru is done with the dishes. "Mm, I love marshmallow." You heard him breathe in through his nose, taking in the sweet marshmallow scent.
"I know, I got this candle for you for Christmas, remember?" You grabbed a blanket from the rattan basket in the corner, snuggling yourself on the couch.
"Speaking of marshmallow." Suguru opened the freezer, grabbing a pint of ice cream that read 'Campfire S'mores'. "I grabbed this after the bookstore. Looked like something you would like."
"You mean we, you know you're a sucker for s'mores."
Suguru smiled as he grabbed two spoons, bringing the pint to the couch. He sat next to you on the couch, offering a spoon to you.
"Thanks, Sugu." You smile, draping the blanket over his lower half.
You spend the rest of the night watching trash TV and eating ice cream with your best friend.

Tickletober Day 20- Tease
This is a 2003 fic! I'm really feeling the tiredness from writing every day, but I think I've got it in me to do the rest of the month. I've been wanting to write for lee '03 Donny for a while, so I guess this is my opportunity!
Lee: Donny
Ler: Raph, Mikey
TW!: None!
"Oh Don!~ I need help with the tv, I think it's broken!"
"Not again, Mikey.. This is the fifth time this week!" The purple-themed turtle sighed, standing up from his desk and walking over to where his brother sat, hand stabilizing his crossbody bag as he jumped down from the platform.
"Let me see what the problem is.." He moved to the back of the many television sets, checking outlets and wires for any disconnections or fraying parts. His eyes narrowed, following a wire to its respective tv, and paused, confused when nothing seemed to be wrong.
"Hmm, I'm not seeing any issues.." he walked back around to where the youngest was, startling as he saw Raph there was well, arms crossed as he looked at the blank screens. "O-Oh, Raph! When did you get there?.."
The elder shrugged. "Heard Mikey over here complainin' 'bout the tvs not workin'." He tilted his head, running a finger along the top of one of the screens. "Thought ya fixed them the other day.." Donny sighed, nodding. "At least I thought I did. Apparently, they keep breaking. I just don't know what's wrong with them."
A whine was heard from the orange-clad. "Are you saying you can't fix it? Donnn, I need tv!"
"Shaddup, Mike. He hears ya.." the sai-user hushed, turning back to his more reserved brother. "Surprised to hear even the all-time genius is havin' a tough time. Too much stress, Don?" the elder teased, but the last sentence has a tone of concern to it. Donatello's cheeks went pink, and he began fiddling with his fingers. "Uhm, I don't know.. Everything's going just fine, so-"
"You sure, bro? You look a little flushed."
The olive-toned mutant stuttered a little. He always did get nervous rather easily.. Mikey scooted over to his genius brother, hands clasped together as he stared up at him with puppy-dog eyes. "Pleeease fix the tv! I'm begging you!"
"O-Okay, Mikey. Stop that, I'm doing my best." The youngest latched onto his leg, clinging tightly onto the limb, leaving Donny to try and step away, unable to do so with the new weight. The nunchuck-user nuzzled into his thigh, still babbling out pleas to have the television fixed. At the contact, the scientist's mouth pulled into a smile, pushing gently at the younger's head.
"Ah! No, thahat- tihicklehes!"
"Please fix it!"
At that instant, Donny crumpled to the ground, still trying to get his brother off of him. "Ooh, you'd better listen to him, Don. He sounds serious."
Mikey didn't let go, pressing his face into the other's knee instead. Donny yelped, kicking out at the feeling. "Wahait! Dohon't, I- Hehey!" Raph had sat behind the purple-themed turtle, snatching his arms up and pulling them above his head. "Get 'im, Mike. I don't think he's listenin' to ya."
Mikey giggled, letting go of the older's leg, only to sit on his waist and poke at his torso. "Pay attention, Donnyyy!" The turtle scrunched his nose up, giggles interrupting his words. "Rahaph, don't emcourahage hihim! Ahah!"
"Encourage what? I'm helpin' ya with yer listenin' skills." The elder of the three teased, leaning into his brother's ear, making him squeak and scrunch his shoulders up a bit. "Noho, you're nohot!"
"Oh, so now I'ma liar. Don't be so rude, Don." The elder darted his arm down, now only using one hand to hold up his brother's, squeezing at the side of his neck. The bo-staff-user squealed, throwing his head to the side and flailing about.
"Hahah! NO- I dihiHIdn't sahay tHAHAT!" He squawked as the youngest began kneading his ribs, twisting and turning to try and fight the ticklish sensation. "Yeah? Then what did ya say?"
Donny's brain was frazzled, the buzzing feeling at his neck and ribs were mixing up his thoughts. He couldn't even remember what he said! "IHI- I fohorgot! Stohop it!" His entire face was dusted a shade of pink, eyes closing at the intimidating sound of his brother's voice.
"That's what I thought."
There was a moment of dead silence, both turtle's hands stopping, before Don saw Mikey share a look with the other. Before he could even utter out an apology, four hands were drilling into his sides. It took only a split second for his now free hands to dart down, but it made no difference to the ticklish agony he was plunged into.
"HAHAHAH! GUHUYS,- SNRK- STOHOHOP! HAAH!"
A loud snort escaped from his mouth, making the youngest snicker as he continued wiggling his fingers into the squishy flesh of his sides, unprotected by a shell. "Gee, Don. Think ya can fix the tv now? I wanna watch some shows with Mikey ov'a here."
The scientist stomped his feet on the hard ground, elbows trying to press down over his sibling's hands to cover himself, but the tickling didn't stop. "YEHEHES! YEHES, IHI'LL TRY TO-HAHA! IHI'LL TRY!"
Mikey groaned, blowing a raspberry in the middle of the elder's plastron. "I don't want you to try, I want the it to work!" Donny squealed during the entirety of the raspberry, curling in on himself and bucking frantically until it was over.
"OHOHOKAHAY! OKAYOKAY! IHI'LL FIHIX IT!"
That got the youngest to stop, but Raph only shot his hands up, squeezing the muscle in the back of his armpits. Donny screeched, face bright red as he laughed, arms slamming down, only trapping the ticklish feeling. "RAHAHAPH!"
"Alright, fine.." The red-themed mutant slipped his hands out of his brother's underarms, hoisting him up into his lap with a bear hug. "C'mere, brainiac.."
Don slumped into the hold, panting slightly as he caught his breath. He moved his head to the side, pushing Mikey away with his foot when he tried to grab onto his leg again. Instead, the nunchuck-user knee-walked around him, and sat next to Raph, who pulled him into the hug as well.
The three smiled, peacefully sitting together for a moment, until Mikey checked the time.
"My show is on in ten minutes!"
The purple-themed mutant sighed. "I'm on it.."

"I can't believe we're doing this." Dean said, walking into the small store at the gas station.
"It's a good case." You argued, holding the door before it closed on you.
"It's a myth." Dean corrected, walking down the aisles. You sighed, following him.
"Maybe. But I owe it to him." You said as your eyes scanned the products on the shelves. "Everything's been a mess lately, I didn't get to spend his birthday with him, my dad's disappeared again, and Carter..."
"Okay, I get it." Dean sighed, cutting you off. "But the Morton House, really?"
"He's been obsessed with that case for years now." You explained, smiling to yourself at the look of concentration on Dean's face, as he was determined to find the chips Peter had asked for.
"Where did your father go anyway?" Dean asked, following you towards the candy shelves.
"God knows." You sighed. "I don't really care."
"Gee, I thought your relationship with your father was perfect."
"No, it's never been. I love him and I've always admired him, but... Carter was right. My father is an expert on the supernatural. I'm sure he knew about the anti-possession charms." You pointed out. "Before Carter attacked us, he started having nightmares, talking about demons, about the faces he saw in his dreams and the voices he heard in his head. And my father ignored him completely. So, it's complicated. My relationship with him is complicated. I didn't see it before, but, come on, abandoning your kids at Christmas? In December where it's not only the ultimate family holiday but also your youngest child's birthday? That's pretty twisted."
"Yeah, but he's your father." Dean said.
"That doesn't make it right." You assured. "You of all people should understand."
Dean frowned.
"What's that supposed to mean?" He asked.
"Come on, Dean. Your father wasn't the perfect example of good parenting either." You answered, looking over the candies.
"My father did his best." Dean answered defensively, but you didn't notice the tone in his voice.
"Really?" You raised your eyebrows, turning around to face him. It was there that you realized you were touching on a sensitive subject. Dean's look exhibited unease as well as conflict. As if one part of him knew you were right but the other one was fighting to defend all of John Winchester's actions. "Forget it. I'm rambling." You tried to fix, turning you gaze back to the candy shelves.
With the wheels still turning on his head, Dean reached his hand out to grab what you were looking for.
"Oh. Thanks." You smiled as you held the packet of lollipops he handed to you. You then lifted your gaze to meet his green eyes, but Dean merely nodded as he walked past you.
The tension between you was not only due to the conversation about your fathers. Since your encounter under the sheets your relationship had become a constant push and pull. You exchanged touches, caresses, kisses and even shared a bed every now and then when you slept. But you did all that with several words left unsaid. With your feelings still hidden behind the walls of protection you both put up around yourselves and your hearts.
After Dean paid for everything you grabbed, you walked back to the Impala in a tense silence. That distance between you did't go unnoticed by Sam and Peter as they watched you get back into the car.
Peter smiled as he caught the chips Dean tossed toward the back seats, happy to see that he had found his favorite.
"Okay, let's get this over with." Dean sighed, starting the car.
Something that none of you expected, and that annoyed Dean even more, was to find out that at the Morton House there was already a group of 'ghost hunters' trying to make a name for themselves by filming a real live ghost. You needed the place empty for the hunt, so the Winchester brothers and you grabbed your fake badges and entered the place with Peter following close behind.
"Freeze! police officers! don't move!" Dean yelled as the three of you spotted two figures at the end of the hallway.
Like two frightened kids, those two figures began to scream in fear. You rolled your eyes as you approached them.
"All right. All right. All right. Take it easy, take it easy." Sam tried to calm them down.
"Let's see some identification." Dean spoke in a commanding voice.
"Come on. Let's see some I.D."
They nodded quickly, clutching their cameras as they pulled out their wallets to show their ID cards.
"What—are we under arrest?" One of them asked.
"We are unarmed." His friend said.
"Oh, god. Oh, god."
"Hey, hey. Relax, okay?" You told them as you looked to their IDs.
"Hey. Wait. I know you." The one with glasses said.
"Yeah, sure you do." Dean scoffed.
"Yeah. Whoa, hold on a second. I know both of you, guys. Yeah." He insisted, pointing his camera at Sam and Dean.
"What?" His friend turned towards him.
"Yeah, huh."
You frowned, looking at Sam and Dean seeking for an explanation.
"Holy shit!" Sam cursed as he looked at the guy with glasses more closely.
"What?" Dean turned to him with confusion.
"Uh, West Texas... the... the tulpa we had to take out. Those two goofballs that almost got us killed... The hellhounds or something?"
"Fuck me." Dean whispered as he recalled that hunt.
"So you know them?" You looked at them in disbelief.
"I know them too. You're the Ghostfacers, aren't you?" Peter said, peeking out from between Dean and you.
"Yeah. Hellhounds didn't test that well." The guy with glasses admitted. "Are you a fan?"
"Nah, you guys are idiots." Peter stated.
Ed was taken aback by his sincerity as he gave the kid a bitch face.
"Ed, what's going on?" The other guy pointed the camera at his friend.
"They're not cops, buddy. No, not at all." Ed answered him.
"Ed, Ed, you had a partner, too, didn't you? A different guy?" Dean asked him.
"Oh, yeah, yeah."
"Is he around here somewhere?"
"He's running around, chasing ghosts."
"Of course he is." You whispered to yourself in exasperation.
"Okay, well, listen, you and Rambo need to get your girlfriends and get out of here." Dean commanded.
"All right. Listen here, chisel chest, okay?" Ed stood in front of Dean, trying to play tough. "We were here first. We've already set up base camp. We beat you."
Dean nodded, turning his gaze towards Sam and you. Peter raised his gaze to him, waiting for his reaction.
"They were here first."
"Mm hmm." Ed nodded without noticing the irritation in Dean's voice. Then, in the blink of an eye, Dean grabbed Ed by the collar of his jacket. "Oh, god."
"Ed..." Dean started.
"Yeah?" He gulped.
"...where's your partner?"
"Uh... he's upstairs. He's upstairs." He replied in a trembling voice.
"I'll go get him." You announced, ready to head for the stairs. Dean let go of Ed and grabbed you wrist, holding you back.
"We don't split up." He declared.
Seeing the seriousness in his gaze, you nodded without arguing. You really didn't what him to get anymore angrier that he already was.
"Eh... Um, sorry. She is?" Ed pointed towards you.
"Your worst nightmare if you don't get the hell out of here." You answered.
"Well, we can't do that, okay? Not yet." Ed said, walking out of the room you were in and heading to the living room.
"What are you doing in the Morton House, Ed—on leap year—what are you thinking?" Dean asked as he followed him.
"We're here to spend the night, okay? It's for our TV show."
"What? Great. Perfect." Sam sighed.
"Would you stop with that?" You pushed the camera that Corbett was pointing at your face.
"Nobody's ever spent the night before." Corbett said as he pointed the camera towards Ed.
Peter frowned.
"Uh, actually, yeah, they have." The kid said, gaining their attention.
"Uh, we've never heard of them." Ed argued.
"Yeah, you know why? 'Cause the ones that have, haven't lived to talk about it!"
"Oh, come on, I don't believe you." Ed scoffed. "And why is a five-year-old talking to me?"
"I'm fourteen, jackass."
"Look," Sam spoke, pulling papers out of his duffel bag. "Missing-persons reports going back almost a half century. John Graham stayed on a dare, gone. Julie Wilkerson, gone. There are tons more. All of them came to just stay the night through, always on a leap year. The only body they ever found was the last owner, Freeman Daggett."
Ed frowned, looking at the papers.
"These look legit." He then admitted.
"They are legit. Look, Ed, we ain't got much time here, buddy. Starting at midnight, your friends are going to die." Sam said right before a bunch of screams and footsteps rush down the stairs. Dean and you turned around pointing your guns and flashlights towards them.
"Oh, my god! Oh, my god! Oh, my god! Oh, my god! Oh, my god! Guys! Guys! Oh, my god! Oh, my god! We got one! Corbett! Corbett, we saw one! We saw one!" The first one to enter the living room grabbed the camera Corbett was holding.
"Get outta here!" Ed looked at him with excitement.
"It was a full apparition! It was like a class four. It was a spectral illumination! It..." He explained.
"That's Harry, the other idiot." Peter whispered to you.
"It was amazing!" The girl that followed Harry exclaimed.
Harry nodded full of excitement as he was about to say something else, but then his eyes landed on Sam and Dean.
"Hey, aren't those the fuckers from Texas?" He asked.
"Yes." Ed confirmed.
"And who are they?" Harry looked over at Peter and you.
Peter smirked and took a step forward before you could answer.
"Ghosts." He said with a playful grin. The frightened look Harry gave him back brought a chuckle from the boy's lips.
Dean rolled his eyes.
"All right, let's have this reunion across the street, guys." Dean said, trying to get their attention.
"Crap. What are you guys doing here?" Harry asked.
"Come on, come on. We'll get you ice cream—our treat. What do you say? Let's go." Dean tried again but no one paid him any attention. In fact, they all started talking at the same time as they gathered around the laptop placed on the table in the center of the living room.
"Look at this. Look, look. Ed, Ed. No. No. Look at this. Okay, honest-to-god proof, all right?" The girl accompanying them said before showing some of the footage they got.
"You have to be kidding me." Peter muttered, standing next to the group of idiots.
"Yeah. No. Not kidding." Harry assured him.
Although annoyed by the situation, Sam, Dean and you moved to stand a few steps behind them so you could look at the images on the laptop screen.
"What kind of reading did we get?" Other guy asked.
"Uh, it was a 10.9." Harry answered.
"10.9?" Ed asked in shock.
"Yeah, it was 10.9. It was almost 11. I came out, and I was like, 'what's going on?' And I was like—wait, watch this. Oh! He got blasted. It was crazy."
Feeling Dean's hand gripping you wrist gently, you followed him and Sam to stand by the stairs, far enough away from the group to be able to talk without being overheard.
"Think we were off on this? I mean, that was just a death echo." Sam stated.
"Yeah, but what's it doing here? Did anybody get shot here?" Dean wondered.
"No, not that I could find."
"What's a death echo?" A voice spoke from behind you, making you turn to find the other cameraman standing near you with his camera pointed at your face.
You sighed before answering.
"Look, we got a problem here. That ghost ain't it."
"What's a death echo?" He insisted.
"Echoes are trapped in a loop, okay? They keep replaying how they died over and over and over again, usually in the place where they were ganked. It's about as dangerous as a scary movie." Dean explained with exasperation.
"So maybe the echo's not dangerous, but maybe something else is." You looked at him.
"You're right." Dean nodded before walking back into the living room. "All right, we need to get out of here, guys. Come on. Let's go. Let's go. Let's go. Pack it up."
"Guys, time is running out!"
"We're moving!" You stated, grabbing Peter's hand as Sam and Dean pushed the other towards the house door.
"What about all of our equipment? What are we gonna..." The girl asked.
"Lots of fun. Let's go." Dean said, not playing attention to her or what the other were saying.
"We got more material. We got all kinds of stuff. We'll make you guys recurring guest stars." Harry tried to bargain. You shook your head, pushing him to keep walking while your other hand kept clutching onto your little brother's.
"Wait! Wait!!" Ed yelled, making everyone to stop. "Where's Corbett?"
"Don't know, don't care." You answered, eager to get your brother out of there while beating yourself up for listening to him and bringing him into the house.
"No man left behind." Ed stood his ground.
Before you could say anything an anguished scream was heard form the distance.
"That was Corbett." Ed stated.
"That was Corbett! Corbett!" Harry yelled his name.
"Corbett! it's okay!" Maggie screamed, running upstairs with Ed and Harry before Dean, Sam and you could stop them.
"We'll get him! Go back!" Dean told them but they didn't listen.
"Guys! Fuck!" You cursed, clinging to your brother's hand.
"Let go of me!" Peter complained, pulling his hand free of your grip. "I'm not going anywhere."
The cameraman soon followed them forcing Sam, Dean and you to go after him. Corbett's cries for help could be heard throughout the house along with the screams of his friends trying to find him. You found them in a hall of the second floor right where they had seen and recorded the first echo.
"Hey! Hey! Hey! Come on." Dean walked toward Ed as Corbett's screams echoed through the house, slowly fading away.
"He's not here." Peter assured, pointing his flashlight down both sides of the hallway.
"All right. Let's go. Let's go." You urged Maggie and Harry as you pushed them toward the stairs.
"No. No. No. But that's Corbett. No, that was Corbett." Harry insisted, trying to pull away from you, but you held his arm tightly. "Didn't you hear that? He said... He has to be here."
"Look, buddy, I'm sorry about your friend, but...." You couldn't finish your words when a prick of pain shot through your head. You put your hands up to your head and crouched down, letting out a small cry of pain.
Dean came to your side, holding your shoulders and looking at you with concern. "Are you all right?"
Looking at you with confusion and concern, Sam then noticed how a hand clutched at his arm. Lowering his gaze, the taller of the brothers met Peter, who was trying to steady himself as his face formed a grimace of pain.
"What the hell is going on?" Ed looked at the two of you with confusion.
"We need to get out of here." Dean replied, intertwining his hand with yours as he pushed Harry and Maggie toward the stairs. "Go, go, go, come on."
Once you reached the living room, the ghostfacers gathered around their laptop once again, trying to take in what had just happened to their friend and looking for a way to find him. Peter and you leaned against the old staircase bars, trying to steady themselves while Sam and Dean watched you with concern and complete confusion.
"Oh, god, what's happened? Oh, god. He's gone. He just disappeared."
"Okay, let's just go through all the angles. Let's go through all the cameras we have."
The pain in yours and Peter's heads slowly diminished with each passing second. Dean's alert eyes examined you carefully as his hand remained intertwined with yours, soothing your pain.
His other hand moved over to your left cheek, forcing you to lift your head so he could look into your eyes. Your skin had paled and dark circles had appeared under your eyes. Your temperature had dropped drastically, to a worrying point. You could feel Dean's touch warming you and providing you with some comfort. As if he were your lifeline, helping you to breathe.
Next to you Peter didn't seem to be suffering as much. He felt the headache and the drop of temperature, but much less than you did. He could still stand without holding on to the stairs and his breathing was regular and steady,
"Well, it's 12:04. You good? You happy?" Sam complained without realizing the bad state you were in. "'Let's go hunt the Morton house,' you said, 'it's our Grand Canyon.'"
"Hey!" Peter exclaim, pushing him back. "It was my idea. Leave her alone."
"Okay. No need for fighting." Dean warned, holding Peter by the shoulder. "Sam, it's really not the time."
Despite realizing how bad you were feeling, Sam was more concerned about his brother more than anyone else in the house.
"You got two months left, Dean. Instead, we're gonna die tonight!" He exclaimed in frustration, throwing a chair against the house door. You gasped at the loud sound, clinging to Dean's hand.
At the sound of wood cracking, the group of ghostfacers turned toward them.
"Whoa! What the hell is going on guys?" Spruce, the cameraman asked.
"I'll tell you what's going on. Every door, every window, I'm guessing every exit out of this house—they're all sealed." Sam pointed with frustration.
"But w-why are they sealed?" Maggie frowned.
"It's a supernatural lockdown, okay?" Dean sighed, looking back at them as he felt you getting a little better. "Whatever took Corbett doesn't want us to leave, and it's no death echo. This is a bad mother, and it wants us scared."
"Or it just wants us."
As Maggie said that the sound of the EMF detector went off.
"Uh, guys, the camera's fritzing again." Spruce informed them.
"Whoa. Whoa. Guys, the EMF's starting to spike." Ed added. "This is a big one!"
"Everybody, stay close. There's something coming."
Following Sam's orders, everyone stood in a small circle, looking around the room. It was then when a ghost appeared in the middle of the living room. Dean let go of your hand, but Peter quickly replaced him. The boy wouldn't admit it, but he was scared. Maybe it was your older sister instincts, but noticing how your brother clung to your hand, you soon began to feel much better. You body temperature stabilized, you breathing settled down, and the headache disappeared.
"Whoa!!!"
"Is this the same echo you guys saw earlier?" Dean asked.
"No, it's a different guy." Harry answered in a trembling voice.
"Multiple echoes? What the hell's going on?" Dean looked back at his brother and you.
"Beats me." You replied, not having a real answer for him.
"Okay. All right. All right. All right." Dean repeated several times as he walked toward the apparition and started to yell at it. "Uh, hey, buddy! Hey. Hey. Wake up. You're dead! Hello?!"
"What's he doing? What's he doing?" Harry looked completely lost about what was happening.
"It's rare, but sometimes you can shock an echo out of its loop if you can talk to the part of the ghost that's still human, but usually you have to have some kind of connection to the deceased." You explained to him.
"Come on! Wake up! Be dead!" Dean continued yelling at the apparition, but then it flicked and turned around.
"Do you really think that's gonna work, dumbass?" Peter let go of your hand, feeling much braver now that he saw Dean yelling at that echo.
"You guys hear that?" Harry asked as the sound of what sounded like an engine echoed through the house.
"What's that sound?" Ed asked at the same time.
"Snap out of it, buddy, huh? Come on, what are you waiting for? You're gonzo! You're dead!" Dean yelled to the apparition before a bright light shone on its face. As that light got brighter, the sound of the engine grew louder, this time accompanied with a car horn. Suddenly the ghost was hit by this invisible vehicle and went flying backwards, disappearing.
"Where the hell did it go?" Harry asked, looking around the room.
"Okay, I don't know about you guys, but I'm out of here." Peter said, taking a step toward the door.
"Didn't you hear the part about the supernatural lockdown?" You asked, pulling him close to you. "Don't leave my side, Pete, or I swear to God..."
"Okay, I get it." He scoffed. "But what the hell was that earlier? I felt as if my soul was leaving my body. It was cold and there was a lot of despair and..."
"I know, I felt it too."
"Why? They sure as hell didn't feel it." Peter pointed to the rest. "Why did we?"
"I..."
"That is a really good question." Dean admitted, coming to your side. "Any theories on that?"
You shook your head.
"Maybe if we go back upstairs." You shrugged.
"To the floor where that idiot disappeared?" Peter asked in disbelief. "Yeah, good idea." He scoffed as he rolled his eyes.
"Do you have any others?" You raised your eyebrows. Peter stayed silent. "That's what I thought."
"Okay. She is right. Let's go." Sam said.
You and Dean nodded before following him up the stairs with Peter by your side.
"Guys, there's no records of any of this here." Peter informed you as the ghostfacers followed you. "No one got shot here. Obviously, no one got run over by a freaking train."
"Stay close." Sam told the group.
"Did the echoes take Corbett?" Maggie asked as soon as she got his attention.
"Yes. No. I don't know." Dean replied. "We don't know what's doing what here; that's what we're trying to figure out, okay?"
"Look, um, death echoes are ghosts, okay?" You explained. "Now, ghosts—they usually haunt places where they lived or where they died."
"Except these mooks didn't live or die here." Dean added.
"Right."
"So, what are they doing here?" Maggie asked pointing at them with her camera.
"All right, seriously, does looking at this nightmare through that camera make you feel better or something? I mean..." Dean stoop to look at her.
"Um...I, uh... Well, yeah. Uh, yeah. I think so." She nervously admitted.
"Oh."
Following Peter and you, as you led the way, the group entered what appeared to be an old study. If the house was scary that place was even scarier, especially with the heads of a stuffed bear and deer hanging on the walls.
"Look at this." Sam said, holding up broken framed certificate he had just found on a shelf. "Freeman Daggett, house's last owner, officially commended for 20 years of fine service at the Gamble General Hospital."
"He was a doctor?" Dean asked him.
"Janitor."
"This looks like his den. When'd you say he died—'64?"
"Yeah, heart attack."
"What are these, c-rations?" Maggie asked. Looking towards her, you spotted a box full of non-perishable food bags typical of the military.
"Yeah, army-issued, three squares—like a lifetime supply." Dean answered her.
"Oh, come on, guys. This is ridiculous. I mean, how the hell is this supposed to find Corbett, huh? We should be digging up the friggin' floorboards right now." Ed said with frustration.
"Dude, I'm sorry, but I think your friend is already dead." Peter replied with an earnest look on his face.
"Peter." You called him out.
"What? It's the truth."
You shook your head, raising your gaze to Ed. "We'll find Corbett, okay? But first we need to know what we're up against."
Frustrated and somewhat upset by Peter's statement, Ed nodded his head at your words. Suddenly a loud bang interrupted the room when Dean opened a safe. Turning around Dean came fase to face winter an EMF reader. Harry held it in his hands standing just next to him. But has Dean gave him a bitch face he backed of quickly. Letting out a sigh Dean took the safe and carried it over to the table before opening it.
"Crap. Crap. Taxidermy." Dean mumbled leafing through files in it. "Okay. You said Daggett was a hospital janitor?" He looked up at his brother.
"Yeah." Sam nodded.
"Ewww. Got three toe tags here—one, death by gunshots, train accident, and suicide."
"Ewwwwww!" Sam, Peter and you grimaced.
"What?" Harry frowned, completely oblivious,
"Well, that explains why all the death echoes are here. They're here because their bodies are here... somewhere in the house." Sam explained, but they still looked completely lost.
"Daggett brought the remains home from the morgue. To 'play'." You clarified, watching the realization flit across their faces.
"Ewwwwwwwwww!!!!! Ugh!!!!!" They grimaced.
"That's nasty, dude." Spruce commented next to her.
"Right." You nodded when the EMF in Harry's hand went off. "I thought you were playing attention to this." You complained, snatching the device from him to take a closer look of it. "I got an 8.6 and climbing fast."
"Something huge is coming. Look. Something big is coming." Ed whispered dramatically, pointing his camera towards the EMF.
"It's past 1, you guys." Harry said, looking at the time.
"Okay, I take back what I said before. I really hope your stupid friend is alive, because I really don't want to die here." Peter muttered towards Ed as you all gathered together to form a circle, pointing your flashlights everywhere in the room. Frowning, the man looked down at the boy. "Ghosty, ghosty. Take them, I've got a lot of life ahead of me. I've been a bit of a little bit naughty, but really I'm..."
"Will you shut up?" Dean cut him off as he clenched his jaw. "Nobody move! Hold on. Hold on. Stay quiet."
"What's happening?" Maggie asked between panting breaths.
"You know, Dean, you're the one who should shut...." Peter's voice disappeared into thin air leaving you with an uneasy feeling.
"Peter? Peter?!" You called out to him, but the boy had completely disappeared from the room. And he wasn't the only one, after blinking a couple of times, you witnessed Sam vanishing in front of your eyes.
"It's really cold in here." Ed said by your side.
"Harry?" Maggie called his friend.
"Sam?" Dean turned on his heels, looking for his brother all over the room. "Sam???"
"Where'd he go?" Spruce asked.
You reached down, picking up your brother's flashlight from the floor while Dean did the same with Sam's.
"Sam!!!!!!!!!!"
"Peter!!!!!!!!!"
Dean and you yelled at the same time.
─── ❖ ── ✦ ── ❖ ───
After calling Sam, Peter and Corbett's names for several minutes, you started to fully take in the situation your guys were in. And specifically the one you were in. It was all your fault. If you hadn't listened to Peter's pleas to go investigate that house none of this would be happening. Peter and Sam would be fine and the fear of losing them forever wouldn't be haunting you.
You felt even worse seeing Dean's overwhelmed and upset face. His little brother was everything to him and now because of you he had been kidnapped by a ghost. Sure, you'd been in situations like this before, but what if this was the final one and you couldn't find them.
"I can feel you blaming yourself all the way from here." Dean's voice snapped you out of her thoughts.
"That's because it's my fault." You pointed out.
"No, it isn't." Dean walk towards you. "And it's not Peter's fault either, or these idiots." He said, referring to the ghostfacers, who to your luck and privacy weren't with you two at the moment. "We're gonna find them."
"Do you really believe that?" You looked at him hopefully.
Dean nodded.
"I'm not walking out of here without Sammy and that little demon you have for a little brother." He assured, moving a little closer to you. An amused smile peeked over your lips, calming your nerves and making way for a much warmer, more comforting feeling. Only this one wasn't due to Dean's closeness and charm but something else you weren't sure you could put your finger on.
"What's the matter?" Dean asked at the slight change in your face.
"I don't know." You murmured, lowering your gaze to the floor. "I think I can feel him." You admitted, meeting Dean's green eyes once again. "I feel Peter. He's alive."
Despite his doubts, Dean nodded without questioning you.
"Well, let's find them before that changes."
You nodded slightly, ready to speak again but an argument in the room next to you interrupted you. Dean sighed in frustration, turning to walk into the room, where he found Maggie, Ed and Harry.
"What the fuck are you doing?!" Dean exclaimed braking Harry and Ed's fight. "Cut it out! We're down by three people."
Turning around back to you, Dean yelled his brother's name once again, leaving the room with you by his side.
"Come here." You grabbed his wrist, pulling him toward Daggett's office.
"What? What's wrong?" Dean looked at you in confusion.
Harry, Ed, Spruce and Maggie soon came in after you, afraid to be alone in the house.
"What are you doing?" Harry asked you as you looked through the files in the safe.
"Daggett was a Cold-War nut, okay? He was—he was an amateur taxidermist. He liked to slow dance with cadavers, and all he ate were c-rations, so what the hell are we looking for?!"
"Horrible little life." Maggie said.
"Yeah, a lonely life... A Cold-War life." You noted, thoughtfully.
"What are you thinking?" Dean looked at you as his shoulder brushed yours when he pressed his chest against your back to look at what you were holding.
"He was scared." You thought out loud. "He was scared... he was scared."
Without further explanation you dropped the paper in your hand and rushed out of the room.
"Scared of what? What? Where are you going?" Harry asked as he, Dean, Maggie, Ed and Spruce followed you.
"Guys like Daggett back then, the ones who were really scared of the Russians—they built bomb shelters." You explained walking down the stairs. "I'm guessing he's got one. I'll bet you it's in the basement."
"Sweetheart, you are a genius." Dean smiled as he walked after you.
Suddenly, the door behind them slammed close, separating you and Spruce from the others.
"Whoa!"
"Whoa! That is not funny!"
"Um, who closed the door?" Spruce asked, looking back at the hunter couple.
"It did." You answered as you watched Dean tried to open it back. "It wants to separate us."
"Ed! listen to me!" Dean talked to the door.
"What?" He asked from the other side.
"There's some salt in my duffel. Make a circle and get inside."
They paused for a minute.
"Inside?" Ed frowned, sharing a confuse look with Harry.
"That's stupid." Harry said.
"Inside your duffel bag?" Ed asked towards Dean.
"In the salt, you idiots!" Dean snapped.
"Oh, okay. Yeah. Yeah."
Shaking your head in disbelief, you continued walking down the basement stairs with Dean and Spruce close behind.
As you descended, you felt how your connection with your brother grew. You could sense that he was scared, even though he tried to cover it up with his usual humor and sarcasm. Your racing heart mimicked his in a somewhat magical way. It had to be, because you were sure that no normal person was able to feel their siblings the way you were feeling Peter right now.
"Hey, can I ask you something?" Spruce asked Dean as they walk behind you.
"What?" Dean grunted as he looked for the bunker door.
"Earlier, you guys were talking and Sam—he said you had two months left?"
"Yeah, it's complicated." Dean sighed. "A while ago, Sam..." He paused, looking at the camera Spruce was holding. "No. No. No. I'm not gonna whine about my fucking problems to some fucking reality show. I'm gonna do my fucking job."
"Is it cancer?" Spruce insisted.
"Shut up." Dean grunted once again. "You hear that?"
You nodded, moving closer to him. "Yeah."
"Is that music?" Spruce asked.
"Yeah, it's coming from behind this wall." You pointed.
"All right, stand aside." Dean turned to you and handed you his flashlight. At the touch of his skin brushing against yours, you felt your connection to Peter disappear and be replaced by a wave of warm feelings for the older Winchester. But as soon as you took a step back, placing yourself next to Spruce, those feelings vanished and Peter's fear came flooding back.
Dean single-handedly pushed back a cabinet away from the wall, revealing a door right behind it.
"Wow, you're strong."
Tired of his comments, Dean turned to him and flashed a middle finger.
Opening the door to the bomb shelter wasn't difficult given Dean's strength and the fact that the door wasn't fully closed.
"Peter!!" You exclaimed before shooting Daggett's ghost. As he disappeared, both you and Dean approached your respective brothers and untied them from the chairs. Peter and Sam were sitting around a table decorated for what appeared to be a birthday.
"Oh god." Spruce whispered as he looked around the room through his camera screen, seeing the decorated table and the old corpses sitting around it. Recognizing the last and newest corpse as his friend. "Oh, no, Corbett."
Peter called your name in a frightened whisper.
"I'm right here, buddy. I'm right here." You whispered back, hugging him against your chest and pressing kisses on the top of his head. Peter's arms wrapped around your waist tightly, pulling you closer as the fear slowly faded out of his body.
"Come on. Let's get out of here." Dean said, laying a hand on your shoulder.
Noticing his touch against your clothed skin, you pulled slightly away from your brother and looked up to meet Dean's evergreen eyes. For a few seconds you didn't respond, yet you nodded, standing up and taking your brother's hand in yours to walk out of the bomb shelter and back to the basement.
"What's this Daggett guy's problem anyway?" Spruce asked.
"Loneliness." Sam replied.
"What, he's never heard of a Realdoll?" Dean scoffed.
"No, no, no, Daggett was the Norman Bates, stuff-your-mother kind of lonely. I mean, that's why he lifted these bodies from the morgue, threw himself a birthday party, except they were the only ones who would come. Anyway, so, at midnight, he sealed them in the bomb shelter and went upstairs and OD'd on horse tranqs."
"How do you know this?" You frowned.
"'Cause he told us." Peter answered.
"Oh. yeah. Okay, so now that he's dead, what? Same song, different verse, trying to get people to come to his party?"
"Pretty much, yeah. Stay forever." Sam sighed while you opened your shotgun to add two more bullets.
"Are those real bullets?" Spruce asked.
"It's rock salt." You answered, cocking the gun. "Ghost's favorites."
Dean's slamming a metal pole against the basement door caused Peter and Spruce to startle.
"Seriously? You're still shooting?" Sam scoffed, noticing Spruce's camera.
"It makes him feel better. Don't ask." Dean explained.
"Ah, hell, guys. Get in your ghost-role thing. Something's coming." Spruce spoke as he saw the camera flickering.
Turning towards him you saw how Daggett's ghost appeared by his side and knocked him to the ground. Without missing a beat, you aimed your gun at the ghost and pulled the trigger on a steady shot that made Daggett disappear.
"Take it easy." Sam helped Spruce up. "You all right?"
"Behind you!" Spruce exclaimed. But Sam didn't have enough time to react before Daggett threw him against the wall, doing the same with Dean, Peter and you before any of you could do anything. "Uh, guys..." Spruce panicked when Daggett's eyes fell on him. "This is bad—very bad."
Peter crawled across the floor to try and reach your gun when, suddenly, Corbett's ghost appeared behind Daggett.
"Corbett?" Spruce asked, but he didn't answered, just attacked Daggett. As the two ghosts touched each other, both vanished in a burst of light. Everyone covered their eyes quickly, as Peter and you felt a small deja vù about the night when you confronted Ophelia.
Between low groans of pain from the hit they had taken, Peter, Dean, Sam and you got to your feet, finding that Spruce was already standing next to you. Having retrieved his camera he was now pointing it back at you once again.
Exhausted from that damn stupid reality show, you were about to take it off his hands, but Dean and Peter beat you to it. The former covered the lens with his hand while the younger one pushed Spruce out of his way.
"Seriously, man, you need to put that camera down. Your stupid show is garbage. No one will watch it." The blonde kid grunted. After being kidnapped and almost killed by a ghost, Peter wasn't in the mood to be nice.
After Corbett attacked Daggett the house quieted down more or less. Sam, Dean and you just had to burn the remains of the bodies and everything would be over. The group of ghostfacers didn't question that, as they claimed to have read a lot about how to put a ghost to rest. You couldn't help but narrow your eyes as you heard Ed and Harry tell you that, not really sure if they were being truthful or if they were just trying to act smart so they wouldn't come off as idiots who didn't know what they were supposed to do.
─── ❖ ── ✦ ── ❖ ───
It was rare for Peter to be wrong about something. The boy was usually right about almost everything he said, but this time he was wrong in assuring that Ed and Harry's show wouldn't succeed. Seeing everything they got on camera, including truly supernatural things like real ghosts appearing and disappearing in front of them, was enough material for them to go viral on the internet. But you and the Winchesters couldn't let that happen.
"So, guys, what do you think?" Ed asked when the episode ended. "Are you alright?"
Dean sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose.
"You know, I kind of think it was half-awesome." You answered.
"Half-awesome? That—that's full-on good, right?" Maggie asked with a smile.
"Yeah, um, I mean it's bizarre how you all are able to honor Corbett's memory while grossly exploiting the manner of his death. Well done." Sam said while Peter slipped a device into a backpack under the table. A device whose purpose was to wipe out every tape and hard drive they had in their headquarters.
"Yeah. It's a real tight rope you guys are walking there." Dean commented.
"Nah, that's reality, man." Ed stated as he saw you rise to your feet. "Yeah, Corbett gave his life searching for the truth, and it's our job over here to share it with the world."
"Right. Well, um, our experience, you know what you get when you show the world the truth?" You crossed your arms and raised your eyebrows. They shrugged.
"A straitjacket. Or a punch in the face. Sometimes both." Dean answered.
"Right." Sam nodded.
"Oh, come on, guys, don't be 'facer haters just because we happen to have gotten the footage of the century." Harry smirked as he pointed to the monitor.
"Oh yeah." Ed nodded.
"You got us there." Dean smiled, playing along.
"Yeah."
"Yeah, well we'll see you guys around." You smiled before leaving the ghostfacers headquarters with Peter and the Winchester brothers walking after you.
"Did you do it?" Dean asked Peter once you reached the car.
"Oh yeah, those idiots would never see it coming." He smiled.
"That's my boy." Dean smirked.
Peter rolled his eyes while Sam and you shared an amused look at Dean's response. A small smile tugged at your lips seeing how they were warming up to each other.
"Electromagnet wiped out every tape and hard drive that they have."
"The world just isn't ready for the Ghostfacers." You chuckled.
"It's too bad. I kinda liked the show." Peter admitted as he got inside the car.
"It had its moments." Sam shrugged while Dean started the car.
