NEET-UG 2024 Verdict: Supreme Court to Announce Detailed Judgment on Exam Cancellation Plea Today

Supreme Court of India is set to release its detailed judgment on Friday, explaining its decision not to cancel the NEET-UG 2024 examination.

New Delhi: The Supreme Court of India will release its detailed judgment on Friday, explaining its decision not to cancel the NEET-UG 2024 examination. This follows the court's rejection of a plea for a re-test on July 23. Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud emphasized the significant repercussions of conducting a fresh exam, noting that it would impact over 24 lakh students who had already taken the test. He highlighted that such a move would disrupt the admission schedule and cause cascading effects on the medical entrance exam and its subsequent counselling process.

Meanwhile, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has intensified its probe into alleged irregularities surrounding the NEET-UG 2024 examination. On Thursday, the CBI filed its first chargesheet, charging 13 individuals under various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) including sections 120-B (criminal conspiracy), 201 (causing disappearance of evidence), 409 (criminal breach of trust by public servant), 380 (theft in dwelling house), 411 (dishonestly receiving stolen property), 420 (cheating), and 109 (abetment).

Names Of NEET Paper Leak Accused The chargesheet names the following accused: Nitish Kumar, Amit Anand, Sikander Yadvendu, Ashutosh Kumar-1, Roshan Kumar, Manish Prakash, Ashutosh Kumar-2, Akhilesh Kumar, Avdesh Kumar, Anurag Yadav, Abhishek Kumar, Shivnandan Kumar, and Ayush Raj. The case was initially registered at Shastri Nagar Police Station in Patna and later transferred to the CBI on June 23. To date, the CBI has arrested 40 individuals, including 15 apprehended by Bihar Police, and conducted searches at 58 locations.

Last week, the CBI revealed in an official statement that the NEET-UG 2024 question paper was illicitly accessed from the Oasis School in Hazaribagh on the morning of May 5. The key figure behind this act was identified as Pankaj Kumar, also known as Aditya or Sahil, one of the masterminds in the case. The theft was reportedly carried out with the connivance of the Hazaribagh NTA City Coordinator cum Principal of Oasis School and the Centre Superintendent cum Vice Principal of the same institution.

The investigation is ongoing, with several other suspects already in police or judicial custody. The CBI has stated that supplementary chargesheets will be filed as further investigation into these suspects and other aspects of the case progresses.

"Custody Battle Resolved in Favor of Biological Mother: Petitioner Wins Habeas Corpus Petition"

In a landmark decision, the petitioner secures custody of her three minor children after a heartfelt plea to the High Court.

In Habeas Corpus Writ Petition the petitioner sought custody of her three children from her late husband's step-son and step-daughter-in-law. The High Court, led by Hon'ble Mr. Justice Saurabh Lavania J, ruled in favor of the petitioner, the biological mother, based on several key points:

1. Biological Parent Preference:

The court emphasized that the biological mother is generally best suited to care for her young children unless clear evidence suggests otherwise.

2. Welfare of the Children:

The court prioritized the children's welfare over legal technicalities, stating that the welfare of the children is of paramount importance, referencing cases like Syed Saleemuddin v. Dr. Rukhsana and Ors. and Nithya Anand Raghavan vs. State (NCT of Delhi).

3. Circumstances Post Father's Death:

The petitioner claimed she had no support after her husband's death and was best suited to care for her children, opposing the respondents' claim that she left the children voluntarily.

4. Legal Precedents:

Several Supreme Court judgments reinforced that habeas corpus is a valid remedy in child custody cases to ensure the best interests of the child.

5. Islamic Personal Law Consideration:

The court referenced the case of Sahil and Another vs. State of U.P. and Others, which under Muslim personal law, entitles the mother to custody of minor children unless specific disqualifications apply.

6. Equitable Powers of the Court:

The inherent equitable powers of the court were invoked, underscoring the principle of parens patriae, mandating the court to act as the guardian of minors and ensure their welfare.

The court concluded that the petitioner, as the biological mother, is best suited to care for her children. The minors, who were present in court, were entrusted to her custody. The respondents, however, were given the option to seek visitation rights through appropriate legal channels.

6th Hindi Cinema Samman for 2022 at 15th Global Film Festival Noida

New Delhi: One of the most prestigious Cinema Awards of the country under the name and banner of Hindi Cinema Samman Samaroh took place during the 15th Global Film Festival Noida 2022 under the Chairmanship of renowned international film, television, and media personality of the Republic of India Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios & Chancellor of AAFT University of Media and Arts.

2019年のインド映画祭、IMW（インディアン・ムービー・ウィーク）にて上映の「フライングジャット」も話題のタイガー・シュロフさん主演作「MUNNA MICHAEL」を妄想ポスター化してみました。 デザインはケビン・ベーコン「フットルース」が元ネタ、というかほぼそのまんま、です（惹句もほぼ同じ）おヒマのある方はググって見比べてみてください。

で、元ネタに忠実なだけにデザイン上での工夫はあんまり無くて（タイトルも原題そのままだし）わりかし力を入れたのが劇中の使用曲のタイトル 「MUNNA～」そのまんまの曲名だとインド感ありありなので、そこは洋楽風アレンジをほどこしました。

「フットルース」が８０年代の洋楽ヒット曲満載の映画なので、この妄想ポスターでもいかにも「皆さまご存じ、あの曲ですよ！」てな感じのタイトルにすべく、時には歌詞の英語字幕から発想して、なんなら既存の邦訳洋楽のタイトルをそのまんまパクったりもして、あと「フットルース」的にとても大事なケニー・ロギンズ感を醸し出したりして（何それ）ありそげでキャッチーな感じのを考案。 なんとなーく上手いことで来たのでトドメに「リズムムービー84'」などとシレっと大嘘をのっけてこれにて仕上げ。

そんなこんなでイイ感じに80'S感あふれる妄想ポスター完成しましたとさ。

ときにこの「MUNNA MICHAEL」公式のポスタービジュアルにあるタイガーさんのポーズとそもそものタイトルから、マイケル・ジャクソンに関係した何かの映画のように思って観始めたら、なんか、そこはあんまし関係なかったような気が・・・（そもそもムキムキのマッチョが大暴れしてる時点でマイケル感ないし）
