Kylie Rothfield presents: Never Loved Somebody
Touching lyrics and message here
Tumblr media
Kylie Rothfield is a force to be reckoned with.
It’s no wonder her unique, soulful voice caught the ears of Alicia Keys, who described her as “a blossoming, powerful flower with so much heart, so much talent, so much emotion and vocal power”. Kylie is also an accomplished songwriter and guitarist. in 2015, Kylie signed her first publishing deal and has had her songs placed on ABC, NBC, MTV and E! Network.
instagram
She has also been endorsed by Epiphone Guitars and has recently been featured on Epiphone.com, SheShreds, Bustle, Billboard and Rolling Stone for her performances. “Kylie absolutely blew me away. She interprets songs like a true artist and she could sing ANYTHING” - Faith Hill. Kylie will be continuously touring and recording new music throughout 2019.

starting my healing journey
The last month or so has been really hard. I’m in one of the worst depressive episodes I think I’ve ever been in. And that seems so ridiculous; I know that anyone who sees what my life is like would tell me that I have nothing to be depressed about, but they don’t get to see what’s going on in my head and in my soul. They don’t see all the scars, all the holes, all the places where I feel like I’m falling apart at the seams.
I heard a song today on a random Spotify radio station I made, and it hit me in a pretty profound way. So I decided to get back on tumblr and use this as my healing journey journal.
Thank you to Anna Clendening for writing this song.
“Now I'm slowly sinking, caving, try to fight it but I can't breathe Chest is heavy, hands are numb, I'm tired but I can't sleep Choking on my pride, my tongue is tied and now I find myself reaching out for help I could really use your help right now Fight or flight, I feel I don't know how to stand on my own or which way to go”

The Lyrics had burned within me for years - during a really toxic and abuse relationship I had suffered through, with a partner who did not only, not understand my depression and mental illness - but also pushed me to the limits of my very existence. After I had broken up, I spent some years reflecting and healing and this song has been one of those written during that healing period ^^
I am not sure why this song gets the "most" attention everywhere I share it. [Most meaning, more than the usual 50 views or so] I always wonder if it's just the Algorythm of Websites like Youtube (likely) or if it's actually something about the song itself. It has been kind of the same for Soundcloud - although the last song I posted there (9 years ago) had the most - Hommunculus
Any opinion about why this song reflects so much with people, would be appreciated :)
