Absolutely! Next weekend I'm in Indiana for Indiana Comic Con. Beyond that, this is what I'm scheduled for. El Paso Comic Con - April 12-14 Yellow City Comic Con - April 19-20 Palmer High School Craft Fair - April 27th Sabaku Con - May 24-26 Duke City Comic Con - June 14-16 Anime El Paso - June 22-23 Denver Comic Expo - July 4-7 Ama Con - August 3-4 Las Cruces Comic Con - August 17-18 Colorado Springs Comic con - August 23-25 Saboten - Aug 30- Sep 2nd Salt Lake FanX - Sep 26-28 Kadabra Con (In Corpus Cristi) Oct 4-6 Anime Banzai - Oct 18-19 I haven't gotten accepted into any of the November or December shows yet, but overall this is my list! It's possible it might change, depending on if I get off waitlists or not. Most of these are a lot more local for me, since flights have gotten so pricy. Doesnt mean I won't fly though, if the show is good! If anyone has any suggestions for shows to check out though, let me know! Some are so big I can barely chance to get in, like I've been applying to Anime New York and NY Comic Con for years, but I do my best to get into shows!

世の中クソだな and its many translations

世の中クソだな seems to be Adachi's most popular line. When people at Sabaku Con told Mitsuaki Madono that they like Adachi, he responded by saying this quote.

The line originates from the flashback the player sees on December 7th inside of the TV where Adachi shoves Saki into a TV:

"The world/society is shit", "The world/society sucks", etc. Let's not mince words or be delusional about this character: This guy tries to force himself on a (16-17?) year old high schooler, shoves her into a TV knowing she'll die, he says this line to complain about her, then goes on to talk about his own high school life.

The English localization took the cues from these lines before and after and turned it into, "This world's gone straight to shit", implying that there was once a time when the world was Not Shit. I think that's a great rewrite. Cause in this context, it does not sound like a statement about society or the world, but comes off more like, "Why, back in my day, high school girls would gladly bend over and suck off a police officer". Cringe ass boomer energy. You know he walked uphill (both ways) to school during blizzards too.

The line got slightly modified and reused as his quote for P4U2, with the merch for the game saying, "This world is shit as always". (I totally own a mug with this on it.) The "gone to shit" bit being rewritten seems appropriate cause the context for it is gone. Instead, in P4U2 and his cameo in Persona 5, it seems to be removed from its context about being used to complain about high school girls, and used as a general statement about society and the world at large being dogshit. Like how we just go, "Society." (His Joker alt colors in P4U2 help.)

Amusingly, it seems to get translated differently whenever it shows up lol.

In Persona 4 the Animation, it was written in English on the episode titles. I assume it was chosen as an episode title because of the quote's popularity from the game.

It was translated in the official Crunchyroll subtitles for Persona 4 the Golden the Animation as:

The re-use of the quote is how you identify Adachi by his cameo in Persona 5, and it got re-translated here into a more one size fits all phrase:

As mentioned before, it's totally on a mug released for P4U2 too.

I'm sure there's a few I'm missing here lol.

Hooonestly... It's too late to just pick one way to write it in English. I hope it continues to be translated differently every single time it shows up. Adachi better show up in Persona 3 Reload as a cameo character at Iwatodai Station and say something about the world or society that sounds vaguely familiar.

Al llegar a la habitación, había 5 chicos sentados, pero al momento en que se abrieron las puertas su atención se fue directo a la rubia recién llegada, algo que le molestó a la pelirroja quien hace unos minutos atrás era el centro de atención de esos chicos.

—Perdón. —la rubia de ojos aguamarina entró a la habitación sin mirar a nadie más.

—Bien… —Tayuya se encontraba notablemente molesta por la interrupción.

Siempre que llegaba ella se robaba la atención. No entendía por qué, no le veía lo especial.

—Como decía, de parte de la escuela de Konoha, les queremos dar la bienvenida. —una sonrisa se dibujó en su rostro.

—Muchas gracias. —sonrió de igual manera el único rubio de los cinco.

—Esperamos no haber sido inoportunos a nuestra llegada. —dijo el chico con la piel más blanca.

—De hecho, sí lo fue, ¡pero no se preocupen!, todo bien. —habló la pelirroja, tratando de verse amable.

—Discúlpenos, pero nuestro tutor nos había dicho que ya había hablado con la señorita directora. —la voz del pelinegro se hizo sonar.

—Debe de haber un error ya que no nos avisaron nada de todas maneras. —soltó una pequeña risita—Pero ya les dijimos, no hay problema.

—Ahora pueden retirarse. —un peligris de ojos cafés dio por acabada la reunión, dejando ir a los cinco chicos.

Cuando los demás jefes de grupo se disponían a volver a sus actividades, una pelirroja se le acercó a la rubia.

—Muchas gracias por tu presencia, Tema—la voz de Tayuya le resultaba un tanto insoportable—. Nos hiciste quedar mal y con los de intercambio ahora.

—Oye, me dijeron que también se acababan de enterar, así que no fui la única, Tayuya.

—Muy a tu conveniencia no fue tu culpa, ¿no?

Las dos chicas se pusieron firmes, una frente a la otra, mirándose a los ojos.

—Chicas, tranquilas. —de repente alguien se había puesto en medio de estas—A todos nos tomó por sorpresa.

—No la defiendas, Shira.

—Basta Tayuya, —el chico de cabellos grises se quedó mirando por pocos segundos a la pelirroja de su lado derecho—y mejor ve a seguir monitoreando los pasillos, eso se te da muy bien.

La mencionada trató de retar con la mirada al chico, pero, aunque lo venciera él seguía estando por encima de ella.

Suspiró con pesadez. —Bien, lo haré. —giró los ojos y salió de la habitación.

—Gracias de nuevo, Shira. —agradeció la rubia.

—No tienes porqué, conozco muy bien el temperamento de mi hermana.

—Pobre de ti que la tienes que aguantar tanto aquí como en casa. —por un momento se arrepintió de haber dicho eso.

Pero en respuesta hizo reír al chico.  

—Tienes razón.

Ver la sonrisa de Shira provocaba algo en la rubia, algo que no sabía cómo describirlo.

¿Cosquillas? ¿Emoción? No sabía cuál era la palabra.

—Bueno, es momento de ir a casa, ¿quieres que te acompañe?

La pregunta hizo sobresaltar un poco a la Sabaku.

—No debes porqué, ¿qué hay de tu hermana?, todavía no sale de clases.

—Ella sabe cómo llegar a casa, no me necesita. ¿Entonces?

—Bueno… —sonrió internamente.

Well, I can't actually speak on anything. Rach unfortunately is also the only person I feel actually sorry for. I do genuinely still love her and I'm so sorry that I have to drag her into this, but I gave her two years to change her mind. I knew it wouldn't, she picked DC and he isolated her on purpose to get her away from her family and friends. She grew up Back East and moved to TX and DC got his hooks into her. He convinced her to move out to California (her studio is about 5 minutes away from DC Douglas's downtown studio city apartment) and despite her barely being able to survive. He did that with Peyton (the other girl he's doxxing) who decided against it (thank god) and then his former girlfriend who I will not be naming under any circumstances was also brought out to California, but that time from Florida. (Victor was actually very close friends with her at the time!!!) Not LA, but another college nearby so they could visit. That girlfriend also the one that he brought out during Sabaku Con 2015 explicitly so we could have xtc and go to strip clubs and have a threesome. At the Erotic Fanfic panel at Sabaku in 2015 someone asked what was bad for him. He pointed to me and his GF at the time in the second row and said, "Well she's here right now!"
