I think there is something to say about Lestat as a mother forced into motherhood who did not want her child (though loved her regardless), who was ceaselessly baffled and occasionally disgusted by the humanity and the monotonousness that was both unique to and shared with her daughter. I've seen Kim Jae Young in dramas before and he's pretty and all that but I certainly didn't remember him. But boy what a force this man is in this drama.

Some roles really are meant for some actors and they not only breathe life into those roles they also make themselves known. It's their time and we start noticing.
