The sun is already setting by the time they finally get back home.

Nightmare yawns as he leans heavily against Dust as he watches Killer open the door.

Killer sighs and grins “Home sweet home.” And he walks straight towards the closet to search through it for something. Probably clothes.

Cross nods and turns towards Dust and him and smiles “I will get a bath running for him. You still got him?”

Dust hums in acknowledgement. Nightmare isn’t too surprised. The meeting went on for forever and Nightmare is also tired. He has no doubt that Dust is even more tired as he actually had to interact with everyone and made sure people left Nightmare alone.

Cross shoots them another smile before going inside.

Horror cleans up the things they took along as he goes to warm up some food. All preprepared for this because they all assumed it would run late.

Dust walks inside and joins Nightmare in the kitchen as he waits for Cross to shout the bath is ready.

Nightmare watches as Dsut leans back in the chair and breaths deeply. He looks so tired.

Nightmare feels bad about having wanted to do this whole thing. Sure it made sense to reintroduce him and cement his whole standing and what happened… but it tired his dads out so much… He is being a bother again.

He pushes his skull under Dust’s and mutters “Sorry.”

Dust hums confused and looks at him. waiting.

Nightmare looks down and tugs on the hoody. It was Dust’s old hoody, something about making sure he looked obviously tinier and younger by having him wear that. Nightmare doesn’t care too much. It is comfy and it feels and smells familiar. He loves it.

Ngihtamre manages to find his words “You are all tired… because of the meeting… sorry.”

Dust blinks and snorts as he nuzzles his skull “Not your fault.” And just holds him.

But… they had to have the meeting because of him. Doesn’t that automatically make it his fault?

A few heavier steps and Nightmare feels Horror’s hand pat his skull. Horror speaks softly “We needed to do this meeting either way. No matter the extra reasons. It was the right thing to do concerning what happened with you and Dream. The fact we are tired is to blame on those in the meeting who would not stop asking stupid questions.” Horror sighs with a smile as Dust snorts and nods his agreement.

Nightmare blinks and leans against Dust. He should have known they wouldn’t blame him. They never do. Yet it still surprises him.

Cross walks into the room and smiles “Bath is ready.”

Nightmare frowns at them “Don’t you guys want to bath first?” He can wait a bit longer. The itch on his spine isn’t that bad yet.

Dust just looks unimpressed at him before getting up. He shoots Cross a small smile before Dust takes Nightmare to the bathroom.

Nightmare can already smell the scents of his favourite soaps and feels himself relax a bit. Dust takes care to help him out of the clothes and Nightmare can see a small pile of clean clothes by the side. Seems like that is what Killer had been looking for.

Dust hums as he looks at his spine.

Nightmare waits patiently as his feet are already allowed in the water and he hums happily at how warm the water is.

Dust nuzzles his skull “Going to remove the bandage.”

Nightmare nods as he waits. It is still uncomfortable but it doesn’t hurt as much as it used to anymore. He knows that Dust will be careful and try his best to make it hurt as little as possible and that he will make it better. So Nightmare stays still and lets him remove the bandages.

Dust hums and softly checks his spine “It looks irritated… Why didn’t you say anything?”

Nightmare blinks. Huh… had it been that bad? Nightmare looks down and sees that the whole of his spine is inflamed and red looking “oh…”

Dust’s hands are gentle as he checks everything.

Nightmare tries to think back but ends up just not being able to remember if it really hurt badly “I didn’t… Notice? It is strange but it just doesn’t hurt as much anymore… any discomfort is just easy to ignore?”

Dust frowns “you don’t need to ignore your pain Nightmare.” the hands help him into the water and Nightmare’s breath hitches as he feels his spine act up for a moment before it settling back in bearable again.

Nightmare hums and leans into the hands helping him clean-up “I didn’t mean to? It just kinda… it doesn’t hurt that bad anymore so I guess I just accidentally ignore it? Other stuff was more important today and I focused on that instead.” He didn’t mean to ignore his discomfort. It just happened because stuff was more important today and-

Dust hugs his skull and mutters “Your comfort is more important than some stupid meeting. We only really needed to show our faces. Next time, just tell us even if it gets slightly uncomfortable okay?”

Nightmare blinks and nods as he leans back.

Dust hums and helps him cleanup before helping him out of the water again. He dries him off gently. Dust takes the time to take care of Nightmare’s spine. Nightmare can feel him put on some healing cream on it before putting on clean and new bandages. After that Dust helps him into his warm and soft pyjamas.

Dust picks him up and take shim back to the kitchen where some food is waiting for him already. Nightmare yawns as he just leans against Dust. He honestly doesn’t even want to eat. He just wants to lay in bed together with his dads and watch a movie. Nightmare doesn’t even care which movie. As long as he can lay between them and feel safe.

Still he eats. Horror gets sad when he can’t eat so Nightmare doesn’t like to skip meals.

He rubs his sockets as Killer picks him up. Nightmare looks at him confused before looking around. He likes Killer holding him too. But hadn’t Dust been doing that?

Killer notices and grins “Dust is getting cleaned up and ready for bed himself.”

Nightmare takes a moment and sees that Killer is in his own sleeping wear and he takes him to the nest.

Nightmare hums and leans against Killer as Killer moves blankets and pillows around before sitting down with him. Nightmare turns fully towards Killer and just pushes as close as he can. Killer grins as he lays in the pillows with him “There. All comfy. Ready to sleep?”

Nightmare shakes his skull even as he yawns “No…” another yawn “Want everyone here.”

Killer nods “and they will get here quickly.” A soft nuzzle to his skull.

Nightmare hums as he leans against Killer. He is starting to fall asleep but forces himself to stay awake.

Killer just keeps holding him as he lays back with him.

Some movement and a soft voice “Is he asleep?” it is Cross!

Nightmare turns and goes to answer but yawns instead.

Cross looks guilty as he smiles “Sorry. Didn’t mean to wake you up.” Cross rubs his skull.

Nightmare hums as he leans into the touch “Not asleep.” He yawns again “Wanted to wait.” Wait for them all to be here. Snuggle together and… and…. Something else but Nightmare isn’t sure anymore.

Cross nods as he lays nearby “Like this? This better?”

Nightmare nods and a moment later Dust and Horror join them too. They say something about having to clean up and lcok up but Nightmare doesn’t care much.

They are all here.

Nightmare snuggles close to someone, Horror he thinks, and closes his sockets fully. Finally. Time to sleep.

His dads are all there and all have contact with him in some way. Nightmare can feel and hear them all near and knows that no one will hurt him when they are nearby.

Even if Nightmare isn’t sure on everything he is sure of that.

Safe and sound.

And so he goes to sleep. Tomorrow will be another day in their lives with their farm and homework. Things will go back to normal.

Their normal. In their home.

And that was it. For now. The story has ended. The group has their home. They tied up their lose ends. and Nightmare trusts and lvoes his four dads more than anything.

They are happy. And that is the perfect ending for them.

I still think about how good season 1 of The Wilds was. We could have had it all.

i will never get the regulus hate and him getting reduced to a death eater when he was only 17 when he died. he was still a CHILD!!!

sirius ran away from his home when he 15, two years younger than regulus when he has died. before that, sirius bore the brunt of the hit. he ran away because he had no other choice. he would've died in that house, they would have let him rot. sirius didn't abandon regulus, he was a teenager who needed to escape a home which hated him viciously.

but some of you seem to forget that regulus was also a kid. I'm not saying I'd do what he did, but as a younger sibling, i understand his actions. in his perspective, in his 'little brother' perspective, the only person he loved left him. the only person who protected him left. and maybe that thought was a bit selfish, selfish in the same way sirius leaving was. but he was now alone, and the single target for his mother's vehement hatred. because for his mother, maybe regulus wasn't as hated as sirius, but he was a reminder of her failure of a son. the unresolved, twisted grief and anger and hatred that she felt for sirius translated towards regulus. he was alone in that house, seeing the consequences of leaving.

he knew what would happen, then why would he leave? a year later he's in his fifth year and he knows he can't leave or he'll have no one. not sirius, not his family. so he believes what his parents tell him, and he praises the dark lord and he takes the dark mark as his parents want him to. as he sees his friends and family do. regulus joins the death eaters and sees a determination that he can't find in himself. almost no one seems like they were forced here like he was. they want to be there. they believe in their cruelty. he realises he doesn't.

regulus black died on his first mission where he defied the dark lord because he was sure he would have nothing to come back to.

because that was difference between them. sirius had james, he would always have james. regulus had no one.

Okay, maybe this is just me, but the fucking whiplash from the way Sandra Lynn and Jawbone are with Adaine over Fig or Kristen is so crazy to me. It's gotten to such a point that Emily called it out in this last episode. Like, you're telling me that Sandra Lynn can acknowledge that the bad kids have helped raise each other and fulfill emotional needs their parents haven't, but can't put together that there might be a fucking reason Fig is protecting Kristen and Adaine created a simulacrum? Jawbone, as both a guardian and counselor, just let it go that a highly competent rouge capable of finding the rouge teacher straight up admitted (1) she wanted to murder Kristen and (2) she is upset at Fig for keeping her from getting close? All this after years of being obsessed with the bad kids?

Meanwhile, they see Adaine as this competent, low-maintenance, emotionally mature adult instead of recognizing that she was taught from an early age that adults would not meet her emotional needs?

How I react to the characters' art style evolution:

Season 3 is absolutely gorgeous

Yuta's relationship and position in the BCC is so fascinating to me and such a good storyline

Because if you think about it, he was already there before Claudio, Pac and Marina. Mox and Bryan created the whole thing together alongside Regal, and then Yuta proved himself worthy of learning the BCC way. While Regal was still in there, as the third member, fourth if you count Regal, of the BCC. And yet, even though he's one of the early members, they still treat him like the kid

And maybe, it's the fact that he's the youngest, therefore still has things to learn or maybe because he had a story with the Best Friends and OC but it's so fascinating how in comparison of time, he's been part of the BCC for way linger and yet Mox still doesn't trust him 100%

Which is even crazier because it's just shows how well Jon knows Yuta. Jon, who bleed with him the ring, before he was accepted in the BCC. Jon who said he wanted to teach Yuta about wrestling. Jon who sacrificed a match in order to save Yuta. Jon, who knew well enough Yuta wasn't going to betray Bryan. Jon, who in a way has spent a lot more time with Yuta than Bryan. Jon, who's been quite patient with Yuta for not joining him yet and still hopes he will.

And then you look at Claudio.

Claudio is fully devoted to Mox but more open and friendly toward Yuta. He teaches Yuta more, and they've spent a lot of time as champions together. Claudio has never raised his voice or hands to Yuta, always letting him express himself. He reassures Yuta that he'd never steer him wrong and will always be by his side.

While Claudio is loyal to Mox, he's equally supportive of Yuta. It's probably why Yuta never looks in Jon's way but always looks at Claudio.

Narumi Gen:

Witcher/Hunter and counterpart/companion of Soshiro Hoshina. They both initially travelled to the mountains to find a rumored dragon's den to slay said. His skills are very much resembling what a witchers can do, and he is remarkable in swords art, but also a formidable sourcerer for fight related magic and enchantment. Hoshina lacks the skill for advanced spells. They have an unspoken agreement to help each other get better with the skills the lack. He also prepares most of their potions.

Mina Ashiro:

(OK, listen Reno bb, pls don't cry, I promise you get your own ref sheet, I already made some scribbles as well!! She just shoved herself into my brain last night, and I liked it, so I simply had to do this! (~￣³￣)~ I'll make it up buddy <3)

I very much loved the idea of her being a long gone friend of dragon Kafka, that gifted him his human form and influenced his life so much. It suits the story sooo good!! But I kinda was sad she wasn't part of the current story anymore... ಡ ﹏ ಡ Well yeah, that's what I thought about yesterday while working on Narumi, got to bed, and at like 2 am a word hit me like a rock and I was fcking wide awake..

Banshee... ╭( ๐_๐)╮omg, that's gonna be awesome, I'mma make her a banshee like Sylvana and she's gonna be there and has to rediscover the world, since she was gone so long.

sfhfsdldkjthat's what I did. She is a banshee now, lol. A half-elf banshee, might I add. Revived by a necromancer in a very complicated ritual. So basically - welcome to season 2 of this AU of ours I guess? The necromancer in question (oh my, who could it possibly be, I ask? It's ma gurl Rin, of course) contacted Kafka and his party, with the intention to perform a ritual on Mina's grave to free her soul, which is still clinging to earth because of a later discovered act of betrayal that 'caused Tachikawa to fall when their enemies arrived. (smth like this, I dunno, I didn't think this part through a lot, lol)

For performing the ritual she needs, amongst other things, detailed information and a contribution of someone that was close with the deceased. After finding Mina's grave and corpse deep down in the catacombs of Tachikawas ruins they start the ritual. Kafka needs to contribute a scale and some details about Mina in the past, that the necromancer incorporates into the ritual. To everyone's suprise she also adds her own blood. The necromancer reveals her true goal to not free but capture Mina's soul and obtain her powers. But something goes wrong (maybe because of Kafka interrupting the ritual now, or smth idk) and instead Mina is revived as an undead soul with a new (but slightly unfinished) body. Because of the contributed blood she is bound to her summoner for as long as it takes her to find and free the part of her soul that is in fact still captured somewhere on earth. (Oh no - so Kafka gets his bestie back, that is also basically immortal :| And I def. have in mind some enemies to lovers bullsh*t here with the banshee and her necromancer, lol sorry not sorry)
