I saw some other people doing this, so I figured I'd give it a go. My art summary for 2024! (Yes, I know there are nice templates to use for this. No, I dont know why I didn't use one. Maybe I just like making things hard for myself. Shush. I might go back and remake this using one later.)

For the first time in, I'd say, about 10 years, I actually managed to draw at least one thing every month! In fact, I drew far more than I thought I did! I just stuck to adding my Scarlet Hollow and StP fanart this time around, but maybe next year, I'll post some of the Silent Hill and Dungeon Meshi art I've been keeping to myself. We shall see.

I went ahead and made a summary for last year as well. I had meant to do this way back in January, but due to life getting in the way, I wasn't able to.

2023 Art Summary

You can really tell around September of last year that my motivation had tanked to the point where I wasn't drawing much of anything aside from sketches. I struggled with a lot of that this year as well, so I was really surprised to find I was drawing more than I previously thought.

hydrogen cars are a fascinating case of industrial conservatism reaching a sort of Irish elk point where "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" is actually capable of breaking things all on its own. They can be adapted from existing ICE parts with minimal trouble... in theory. They can comply with tightening emissions requirements, especially CO2... in theory. They can provide for a post-oil future... in theory.

In practice, electrolyzed hydrogen is inherently absurdly energy-inefficient and nothing but oil production has hydrogen as a large-scale unused byproduct; fuel density is stupefyingly low on account of hydrogen being the least dense substance in nature at STP so you better make peace with a fuel tank half the size of a car; and without some kind of additive that completely fucks any chances of passing emissions standards, raw H2 will eat through any tanks, pipes, and ultimately engines you stick it in over the course of a few years. (It's so non-dense, and the molecules themselves so small, that it habitually slips through molecular-scale gaps in solid matter one molecule at a time, getting stuck, widening holes, generally raising hell; embrittling parts exposed to H2 gas worse and worse until they fail.)

Toyota in particular is absolutely in love with the idea, not least because they've sunk a shitload of money into making good hybrids, the industrial design expertise and tooling from that don't transfer readily into electrics, and they're pretty sure if they politely ignore global warming it'll go away

I'm a little pissed off because I saved up for quite a while to buy a nice 3 in 1 packer (pack, play, stp), and it's... disappointing.

The older model had really good reviews, but since they released the new model, they stopped selling the old one. I assumed that the new model would at least not have lost any function from the previous model, but it has. The previous model was a packer and stp at all times and had an insert for 'play' mode, but you could still use it as an stp with that insert in, and you could pack with it as long as you were okay with it looking a bit hard. The insert was easy to put in without having to remove the whole packer. You could just slide it in real quick and move on. It also had a feature that did require a bit of setup but would allow you to simulate ejaculation.

The new model doesn't have the ejaculation feature at all. And the thing itself is basically a penis shaped bag, which does look very realistic and feel decently realistic, but the pack, play, and stp modes are all achieved by using different 'cores' that you put in the outer skin. So in order to switch between different functions, you have to fully remove the packer from the harness, take out the core that's in it, and put in the one you want to use before returning it to the harness.

So if you want to use it for pack and play, you either have to pack hard or accept that you're going to need 5-10 minutes to get it switched over. And if I'm going to do all that anyway, I might as well have saved myself some money and just bought a normal strap-on.

Worse is if you want to use it as a packer and stp. Packing with the stp core looks and feels unrealistic. Even through pants, it doesn't have the right shape. But what's the point of having a super realistic penis stp if, in order to use it, you have to fully remove your pants, take the harness and packer off, take the packing core out, put in the stp funnel, then put the harness back on. What, am I supposed to go into a bathroom stall, do all of that, then go back to the urinal, take a piss, then go back into the stall to reverse that whole process? And that's not even mentioning that the opening of the stp funnel is really small and difficult to use.

And, perhaps most importantly, for me, the packer core is shorter than the "skin" it goes in. So you can either not put it in all the way and have a realistic base to shaft transition but a flat and deflated tip. Or you can put the core in all the way and have a good-looking and feeling shaft and head, but the base is bent at an impossible angle that clearly shows that it's fake.

I've spent the last month going through the website trying to figure out what I'm doing wrong, trying to figure out how to rig this thing to work better, and it just doesn't. I'm pissed that I spent over 300 dollars on this.l, especially since the older model was so highly recommended. It seems so bizarre to me that they would have such a well-regarded product and then just tank it.
