Muzan’s only weakness.
Talking to a strange individual every night for months now made you start to feel a little more for the handsome man who calls himself Muzan. But after leaving you alone for so long made you doubt that he ever felt anything for you.
Flufftober prompt: “You love me?” “Always have.”
Pairing: Muzan x gn!reader
I really hope this is the prompt you meant @aethien11-blog , I wasn’t really sure! But I hope you enjoyed this, I’m always so nervous when writing for mutuals XD. If you didn’t like this or meant another prompt, please let me know and I’ll definitely write a different one!
You first met Muzan after he had saved you from a creepy man followeing you through the park. He offered you his coat for warmth and company to walk home with, but that walk quickly became longer and longer, choosing one detour after another just to keep talking. This gentleman claims to be a divorced, wealthy businessman who has a sickness that keeps him from leaving his home during the day. He has a pale complexion and beautiful dark hair, his eyes a rare reddish colour and his nails well kept and sharp. He is intelligent, well-mannered and mysterious, his presence alone causing tingles across your whole body. That tingling moved you to ask him for another meeting the following night, and the night after that, and the night after that.
Muzan brought you a gift everytime you two met; beautiful flowers, beautiful hand-crafted vases he claims to have received from a colleague, food that he never ate himself, clothes that are more expensive than your existence and jewerly fit for a shogun. He is spoiling you, truly, and all this man wants in return is a piece of your time and your grateful smile. At first, you believed Muzan is just buying favours from you just to bed you in return, but he never attempted to do such. He never even tried to kiss or touch you in any ways, always kept a respectable distance and continued to be the nicest gentleman. Perhaps he doesn’t want a relationship, or at least that’s the impression he gave you while sitting on your porch only to talk to you the whole night.
But his last visit was three months ago, so what do you know? Nothing. Muzan never opened up to you in any way, only interested in your boring life and never talking about his own. You barely even know the man you were missing so much.
The first night of him not showing up, you were incredibly worried for him. Perhaps Muzan ran into trouble and needs help, but after the second, third, fourth, tenth, twentieth night of him not returning, you stopped sitting outside in the cold, alone, waiting like a pathetic dog awaiting the return of it’s owner. You felt ashamed for missing him so badly, even though he left without ever saying goodbye.
Until one night, a soft knock lured you to the front of your house. Opening the door revealed the man you were thinking about for three months straight. He was dressed in his signature black suit and his white, freshly ironed pants. A small smile spread on his face. Muzan presented a small but neatly arranged bouquet of flowers. He was acting like he never left.
“I hope I haven’t upset you for leaving you alone for so long.”
He took a single step forward, standing in your doorway. His presence felt oddly calming and your heart started to flutter. It felt more full, as if a piece that was previously missing now filled the hole. You couldn’t help but smile and take the boquet out of his hands. His pale hand lifted slowly and cupped your warm cheek.
“I wasn’t sure you were going to return…”
Muzan lifted your head, making you look at him. You saw something soft behind his eyes while he looks at you. You felt his finger gently brushing over your cheek. His touch made you feel something you buried after the first week of him not returning— hope for love.
“You believed I wouldn’t return? I apologise. I should’ve notified you about my leave.”
His voice was warmer, quieter, softer than the last time you heard it. Much gentler. It made your mind race and thoughts return back to the question you used to ask yourself during the nights you waited.
“Do you even care for me, Muzan?”
Your question made his finger stopped moving against your skin. He stared at your face, the shine in his eyes dimming. His other hand slowly lifted to cup your other cheek, angling your face slightly. His fingers brushed your hair strands to the side while Muzan admired you silently without saying a word. Warmth pooled inside your stomach in anticipation.
“I do. I care for you greatly. I beg you to believe me.”
Muzan took a deep breath. He averted his eyes for a moment as if collecting his thoughts or preparing to say something that heavily weighs on his own heart.
“I love you. I love you so much.”
His voice was quiet and shaky. You saw how vulnerable he looked and how much it took him to say this. Your heart felt like it was about to burst out of your chest and a huge smile spread all over your face. Your hand brushed over his chest, feeling his racing heartbeat. Gods, he’s so nervous, yet he looks so confident and casual. His hand wrapped around yours.
“You do?”
“Always. I always have.”
The shine in his eyes returned, and yet something darker taking over his expression. The grip in you tightened slightly as he leaned down to you, pressing his lips up against yours. Your breath hitched slightly at the metallic taste of his lips, your hand gripping his shirt tightly. Muzan’s tongue teased in between your lips, asking for permission to go further. He pushed you inside your house, pressing you against the wall of your entrance hall. His hands hungrily travelled down to your waist, giving you a small squeeze and pulling your hips against his. He took the forgotten bouquet of flowers out of your hands and threw them aside for the moment onto a cupboard.
“I love you. Allow me to make up for the times I neglected you.”
🎃
I hope you enjoyed this!! I started writing around three times until I got satisfied with this, this challenge is really hard for me XD. I’ll keep going though, it’s super fun!! Please send in some requests you’d like to see in the future <3
Anyways, make sure to EAT, SLEEP and DRINK enough!!
Take care of yourselves and happy Halloween season <3

Mama's Boy | Part 4
Pair: Jake x neytiri x human reader (trio couple) x sully children's
Warning: Kinda sad, cozy moments, conflict, family problems
Note: This part may be a bit long, but I hope you still enjoy it. I think only one part is left, but we'll see. Do you like the reading to be this long or shorter?. btwI recently opened a KO-Fi…. if you want to leave any tips or support I would appreciate it (it would help me to buy real coffee xD).
AVATAR MASTERLIST | Part 1, Part 2, Part 3, Part 4, Part 5, Part 6(final)
7 years ago… You were quite calm decorating and cleaning your home, neytiri was out for a walk with kiri and baby tuk. While jake had gone out to practice with lo'ak and neteyam. Leaving you alone, and peaceful. But all that quiet was interrupted, when you heard a lo'ak crying. He came rushing in, straight towards you. He was wiping away the tears that were falling on his cheeks. "MAMA" lo'ak whimpers, coming towards you. Throwing himself into your arms, not caring what you were doing. The boy wrapped his arms around your neck, burying his face in your neck. Lo'ak was 7 years old, and already about your height. But that didn't stop his mother from comforting him, and right now he needed it. "Honey…what's wrong? You're hurt" you push him away a little, taking a quick look. You see that he doesn't have any injuries, so what was wrong with him. You hug him again, caress his back. And you cuddle him from side to side. Trying to calm the child down. After a couple of minutes, you feel lo'ak move away a little. You wipe his face a little. "Are you more calm?" you smile at him a little trying to comfort him.
"Yes…it's just that…" lo'ak tries to speak, but stops when he feels his tears coming again. "Calm down love…what's wrong" you speak, you were worrying about whatever had happened, it was really mortifying him. "I was with daddy…practicing my shots with my bow. It was my turn and " lo'ak takes a deep breath. You already knew what the boy was going to say, you gently caress his cheek. "I didn't get it right…and I would try again many times. But dad told me that neteyam was better at archery than me. And that's not true!!!" Lo'ak begins to cry. "Love…daddy only said that for your own good, to make you better" you know it's not right what jake said. You hated it when jake compared lo'ak to neteyam. "No…he said neteyam was much better than me in everything…that I should be like him. And I don't want to be like neteyam, neteyam is ugly" lo'ak yells a little.
"Hey, first neteyam is not to blame for anything…and second, I will talk to your father. But love…don't make a big deal out of those comments. Your father sometimes doesn't think about what he's going to say, okay?" you try to reassure the boy. "Why don't you go and find spider, and you two can play. Yeah?" you say, watching as the boy perks up.
That same night, you and Jake have a big argument. Even neytiri had to step in. She was never on either side. It was so bad, that you even took lo'ak and left the house to sleep with mo'at. Behind you were kiri and neteyam. "You can't take the children with you," shouts Jake in anger. "Of course I can, I'm not going to leave them here with an immature person" you shout back, neytiri was trying to rationalize with you. But she ends up following you, giving Jake a disapproving look.
Present day…
"mom…can you help me with this?" asks neteyam, approaching you. He was holding a pretty feather ornament. "Sure come here sweetie" you speak, inviting him to sit down in front of you. You get up from the floor, to now work on his hair. The whole family had gotten up early to finish packing, almost everything was ready. But there were more things to pack, now that they had spent time in the metkayina clan. As you worked on neteyam's hair, you noticed how the scar from his wound had healed, but it was still there. "Honey…I'm glad to see you are healing" you speak, listening as neteyam laughs but then goes silent. "mom for a moment i thought i was going to die and never see you again" neteyam says. Lo'ak was sitting on your left side, he heard what his brother said. He quickly tapped him on the shoulder. "Bro…don't say that" lo'ak didn't like to talk about it. You on the other hand felt sorry, you almost lost one of your babies and you weren't there. You wrap your arms around his shoulders, and give him a hug. The tightest hug you can. "I would have found a way to see you, you know that right?" you speak, watching as the boy turns to look at you. "I know mom…that's why I stopped worrying" neteyam laughs a little. Settling down so you can continue to work on his hair.
Meanwhile tonowari was on his way to the sully's marui, that same morning he woke up early and discussed his decision with ronal, the woman strongly disagreed. She did not like the idea of having a human in her clan. But she had to support her partner's decision. Tonowari quietly approached the entrance of the marui and stood in silence. To his surprise, he had the scene that lo'ak was trying to explain to him the night before. Neteyam was sitting, while you were combing his hair. Lo'ak sat next to you eating a piece of fruit, while laughing with kiri. The children looked so happy around you, they felt safe. He walked in a little, causing his presence to be noticed by jake. The whole family looked at him. "tonowari…is something wrong?" asks jake, finding the man's presence in their home strange.
"I came here because I want to talk…to the whole family" says tonowari, looking at you quickly. I had to admit, your presence was strange. "Come in," says Jake. Everyone turns their attention to the man who had now sat down. "Your son…lo'ak" tonowari points to lo'ak quickly. Jake looks at him with concern, what lo'ak must have done now. Swallowing hard, praying it's nothing bad. "The boy talked to me and I must say he was mature enough to stand up for his mother" tonowari says.
"I'm sorry if he said something he shouldn't I" jake started to apologize, but tonowari raises his hand to pause him. "He didn't do anything wrong…in fact he convinced me. I accept that human stays between us" tonowari says, lo'ak looks at you and smiles wide. Holding your hand tightly. "Are you serious?" jake couldn't believe what he was hearing. "Yes…I can imagine how bad it must be for the family not to have a member in it." Tonowari can see how everyone in the family gets excited. "But I have one condition," Tonowari says, staring at you. "Yes tell me…whatever" you speak, tonowari is surprised. For the first time he was talking to you face to face, he must admit you were very beautiful. And he could notice some features you shared with your son, lo'ak.
"I will give you a testing time. You will have to live as a metkayina, swim, fish, work as a metkayina. You will not be anyone's burden, and you will earn your own place here in the clan, that's for sure," says Tonowari. He was serious, you only had one chance. If you did something wrong, or made a mistake it was all over. "Don't worry, I will do my best. I assure you I won't cause any trouble," you say. "They're going to love her," says Kiri excitedly, getting up from the floor to hug you. This news makes the whole family happy. Tonowari says goodbye and leaves. The whole family is silent for a moment, analyzing what had happened. This was a lot of information, for such a short time. "Mom…you are staying here!!!" says lo'ak, the boy is so excited. He was about to cry. The only family member who hadn't said anything was jake, he was still sitting in the same position.
"Lo'ak…why did you go talk to tonowari and not say anything to me" jake sounded upset, in fact he looked upset. "Jake" neytiri starts talking, she already knew what jake was going to come out with. "Dad it's just that you had argued with him and I wanted to fix things" lo'ak tries to explain his point of view. "You know this could have ended worse" jake says, you pick yourself up off the floor. Making a noise like 'ha'. Jake looks at you in surprise. "I can't believe it, your son has done something wonderful. And instead of congratulating him…you're scolding him? You are unbelievable jake" you speak, while crossing your arms. Neytiri could see your position, and if there was one thing she knew, it was that you were not an easy woman. You might be small, but your character and the power you had over Jake was gigantic. "Okay, everybody calm down. Lo'ak you did a great job" neytiri reaches up to stroke the boy's face. "And jake…Y/N is right, no need to complain" neytiri speaks, hoping everything will calm down.
Jake takes a deep breath, stretching his arms in the air. Shaking his body a little, stretching out one of his hands to signal for you to come closer. He had a goofy grin on his face, when he felt you approach his arm. Skillfully grabbing your waist, with a quick movement pulling you into his body . Cuddling you into his arms, filling your cheeks with kisses as your laughter could be heard throughout the marui. This was supposed to be a moment of happiness for the family, they were finally going to be together after a long time apart. That same morning, everyone helped to unpack all the belongings. Neytiri was thankful that the heaviest things had not been packed, because they did have a lot of things. Also that night, the family celebrated like in the old days, of course…inside the marui and in silence. Preparing a good meal, dancing and laughing about the old days. It felt so nostalgic, it had been a long time since they had had such a good time.
Everyone got ready to rest. The boys settled into their hammocks, ready to sleep. As in the old days, you went one by one to say good night to them. Giving them a kiss on the forehead. First it was tuk, then kiri, then neteyam and for the last it was lo'ak. "Goodnight my precious baby" you speak, giving him a kiss on the forehead. Watching as lo'ak giggles tenderly, he looked so adorable like that. "Mama can you sleep with me?" lo'ak asks you, causing a smile from you. "Love…" you didn't know what to say to him, lo'ak was too old for you to sleep with him. But you felt sorry for your boy, he had missed you so much. But if you were going to be fair, all the children in the family had asked to sleep with you. Just before you could give an answer, Jake came up behind you. "ahh no, your mom is going to sleep with us…and that's it" says jake, seeing how lo'ak's face is one of sadness. "I promise you that later mom will sleep with you, ok?" you speak, saying goodbye again to lo'ak.
Jake and you walked away. Jake looked back, to see lo'ak giving him a dirty look. This surprised Jake, chuckling to himself. As he walked you over to the hammock you shared. "Ney" you hum, as you climb into the hammock. Snuggling into neytiri's chest, she snuggles you into her arms. Feeling jake settle in behind you. "Your son hates me," jake says, burying his head in the back of your neck. "Which one?" you speak, as neytiri lets out a laugh. "Hey" jake slaps you on your ass. You and neytiri continue to laugh. "I'm talking about lo'ak, you would have seen the way he looks at me" jake was still shocked, lo'ak had never looked at him like that. "You asked for it…you're taking his mom" says neytiri. "Yeah but his mom…she's ours too, isn't she?" says jake, leaving a few wet kisses on your neck. Neytiri hugs you tighter on her chest, you felt so good. You had missed them too much.
2 months later…
You had gotten used to life in the new clan pretty fast. You had started taking some lessons with ronal on fishing, since you couldn't ride an ilu. You had to do everything the traditional way, according to the na'vis. But for you it was normal, humans had to do things traditionally all the time. So fishing with a net, collecting the things you had to use, even though it was more difficult, you had managed it. Ronal was still not very sure about you, whenever you were with her there was always your bodyguard, Neytiri. Your partner did not leave you alone with Ronal at any time. According to Neytiri Ronal could tempt you with your life. You thought she was overreacting, but you didn't argue with neytiri about such things, she had always been that way with you.
On the other hand, tonowari could tell that everything jake and lo'ak had told her about you was true. You were the most peaceful person he had ever met. He had barely listened to you, well… he hadn't talked to you much. But whenever he saw you, you were always with your children, or helping a clan member. Tonowari would approach the na'vis and ask them what they thought of you. They would always respond with a 'she is very nice''I like her, she is a very good person'. This would relieve it a little, but you were still on probation.
On the other hand, your relationship with your family was in a good state, better than ever. Everything seemed to be running smoothly. Or so you thought. It was morning around 10:00 am as far as you could calculate. Kiri had insisted the night before that you accompany her to look for shells on the beach where she liked to go. You accepted without a problem, you had nothing to do and wanted to spend time with one of your girls. Lo'ak was invited to the expedition, of course he didn't have to ask…he was always with you. If he wasn't with his friends, it was behind you. "Hey…watch out, the sun looks like it's going to be very hot" says neytiri. If the sun was bad for the na'vi, it was worse for you. You joke a little, watching as neytiri approaches you to put some kind of cream on you to protect you from the sun. You and Jake joked that this was a sunblock bomb, because the smell was so strong. "Ahh I hate that smell!!!" you complain, but neytiri nips you a little to stop you from moving. "Yeah…but you're going to thank me when you don't get burned like a tapirus" neytiri sounds angry, seeing that you don't take her concern seriously.
You say goodbye and leave with kiri and lo'ak towards the beach. They arrived quickly, the place was very close. Kiri was lying in the water, sinking her face from time to time. While you were sitting next to her, you had your head back and your eyes closed. Enjoying the warmth, it had rained a lot the previous days. The weather felt great. While lo'ak was playing eywa knows where. You could just hear the water splashing in the distance. Out of nowhere, you feel someone approach and make a spray of water fall on your face. "Lo'ak…watch out!!!" you scold, seeing the boy laughing in front of you. He looked like a puppy about to make a mischief. "Mom, I want you to meet someone?" says lo'ak. This gets your attention, settling in straight to look at him. "Is it a girl? Tsireya?" you ask, lo'ak gets nervous and moves his face in a 'no' expression. "It's something better…it's my other brother" lo'ak says, you look at him curiously. Lo'ak had gone crazy, as far as you knew the only brother he had was neteyam. "You mean teyam?" you say.
Lo'ak lets out a laugh, as he sits closer to you. "Mama no, he is ahhh he is a tulkun. I want you to meet him" lo'ak was excited, he wanted you to meet payakan. You think about it for a while, but you accept. You couldn't say no to that adorable little face. You tap kiri's shoulder. The little girl lifts her face. "What happened, Mom?" speaks Kiri, and you brush a few strands of hair out of her face. "Honey I'm going for a walk with lo'ak do you want to go?" you ask her. "Nooo mama just you and me" lo'ak complains, crossing his arms. "You don't have to yell…mom don't worry I'll be here a while longer and then I'll go home" kiri says.
"Ok….but be very careful. I trust you" you speak, watching as Kiri smiles at you and goes back to playing with the little fish in the area. You get up from the water, accompanying lo'ak. He was already jumping up and down with excitement. Telling you all about his friend, how he met him and where he came from. All while walking towards his ilu. The trip was quite fast, lo'ak arrived getting up a little from his ilu. Calling out his friend's name. "Mama he will be here soon" lo'ak looks around, seeing if he saw his friend. "Don't worry if he doesn't come" you speak up, but remain silent when you see as a shadow below you. "Here he is!!!" lo'ak says, excited. Payakan comes out of the water, making a noise of greeting. "Payakan look…this is my mom. Remember I told you about her?" says lo'ak moving to the side, to take your hand. So that you would come closer to him. Lo'ak sometimes forgot that your legs were shorter and you were smaller. But you manage to stand now on the creature's flipper. While lo'ak's ilu begins to swim around.
"Mama he is payakan my brother…and payakan she is my mama" lo'ak speaks, petting the creature. Tulkun makes another noise, and you startle a little. You had to admit that this was very new to you. You still didn't understand the language of signs very well, let alone this creature. "mama he says you are very pretty" says lo'ak. You could see the look of pride on his face, this was very important to him. "Thank you" you look at payakan, and he gets excited. Making a stream of water come out of his back. "Mama likes you very much" lo'ak says. You giggle a little, reaching over to pet the creature. It was very amazing and majestic. You and lo'ak spent the whole afternoon playing and hanging out together. For a moment, you just sit in lo'ak's ilu, watching the boy swim and play with his friend. You loved seeing him like that, so happy and carefree.
After a while, for some reason you started to feel sick. You had felt dizzy that morning, but you didn't think it was important. But now you were feeling worse, the dizziness was getting stronger and your vision was getting quite blurry. And not to mention the headache and stomach pain you were getting. "L-lo'ak" you yell under your breath. You were already writhing in pain, you lean forward. Trying to get your balance. The ilu of lo'ak noticed something was going on, and began to make a lot of noise. Catching lo'ak's attention, the boy stops swimming and takes a look at your location. He can tell how you were moving oddly, and his ilu looked a little uneasy.
He swims as fast as he can, coming towards you. "MAMA, MAMA!!!" lo'ak approaches and tries to get your attention. Lifting your shoulder, but he sees how you don't respond. You had fainted, your body was resting in the ilu. "Mom get up, what's wrong with you!!!" lo'ak is getting very desperate, what had happened to you, you were fine minutes ago. Maybe the sun was too strong, or you were sick. Lo'ak climbs into his ilu, carrying you in his arms. Leaving for the clan, he made his ilu swim as fast as possible, but he could not hold back his tears. You were still not getting up and he was getting desperate. "mama please…get up" shouts lo'ak shaking you a little. The trip back was a long one for lo'ak, arriving at the coast. Shouting his father's name for him to arrive. "Dad!!!dad!!!help!!!" shouts lo'ak.
Jake had arrived at the marui, he was accompanied by neytiri. Kiri had told them that you and lo'ak had gone for a walk. But she didn't tell them where you were going, this made Jake a little nervous. Jake was very careful with you, and even more so since you were on probation. You couldn't cause trouble or else they would have to leave. Jake hears the shouts of lo'ak, who were approaching the marui. "What's going on?" neytiri gets up from the ground, running to the entrance accompanied by jake. Watching as lo'ak enters with his mother in his arms. You had woken up on the road, but a you were still very dizzy. "Y/N!!!" neytiri takes you in her arms, and quickly places you on the ground. "Lo'ak what happened…what happened?" shouts jake, sitting down next to neytiri. Watching as the woman tried to stabilize y/n. "Honey, come on open your eyes" says jake, tapping you on the cheek. While neytiri placed a wet cloth on her forehead, jake tried to get your oxygen machine to pump out more oxygen (here I'm talking about the mask the reader is wearing).
After a while, neytiri managed to get you up. "Take some water" neytiri speaks, stroking your hair. You were sitting up, feeling tired and even a little dizzy. Lo'ak was standing all this time, watching as his parents tried to help you. "Don't worry…it was just a dizzy feeling" you laugh a little. "A simple dizziness…ma y/n you were unconscious" neytiri speaks annoyed. Meanwhile jake was walking from one side of the marui to the other. "Lo'ak what the hell happened? What did you do?" jake looks at lo'ak intensely. "I…mom and I were at the sea. We were visiting payakan" lo'ak says timidly. The poor boy looks at you quickly, trying to seek your help. "J-jake" you speak softly. But you watch as your partner ignores you, and moves closer to lo'ak. "Why are you so ignorant…you know that's a dangerous place for your mother" jake yells.
"But daddy" lo'ak tries to defend himself. "Dad nothing… why are you like this? You're fucking irresponsible" jake yells again. But the words were like a knife to lo'ak, jake was acting as if the boy had caused this on purpose. "JAKE" you yell, getting up from the ground. Neytiri tries to stop you, but you walk towards jake. "What the hell is wrong with you?" you look at Jake in shock. "I'm telling him the truth, why can't he behave like neteyam" says jake.
"Because he's not neteyam!!!!" you yell as loud as you can. Lo'ak wipes away some tears and runs out of the marui. "Lo'ak come over here!!!" jake was going to stop lo'ak, but you stop him. "What do you want him to stay for?" you were annoyed, jake was always going overboard with lo'ak. He didn't half like how he talked to his son. "Why do you keep comparing lo'ak to neteyam? They are completely different people. Besides this whole situation is not his fault" you speak.
"But he knows he shouldn't take you to that place," Jake speaks. "Jake, I'm a grown woman…I do what I want. And I'm getting sick and tired of this attitude you have with our kids. I'm reaching my limit" you were so upset, you were turning red with anger. "Y/N listen to me" jake tries to speak.
"I don't want to listen to you…this isn't something that's happening now. This has been going on for years. Have you ever wondered why your children look at you with fear, because yes, they are afraid of you? Have you ever asked them how they feel or what they want to do, no. You just give orders and think that everyone is doing what they want to do. You just give orders and think everyone here is going to follow them." You yell, pacing a bit all over the marui. Neytiri was sitting on the floor watching and listening to all the discussion. She wasn't saying anything, because she knows you were right.
"I think I'm tired of this…I love you Jake, I love you with all my soul, but I think it's best if we go back to our home… "You lower your head, you felt bad and this whole situation was exhausting you more. You didn't want it to escalate to this level. "Let's go home?" jake gets a little confused, glancing quickly at neytiri. She lifts her shoulders, she didn't know what you were talking about. "I will go with lo'ak to our home, live with mo'at. If any of the children want to leave with me I will take them. But I will not leave them here…getting this treatment. Because they deserve to have a normal childhood" you had tears in your eyes. Leaving Jake there silent and stunned, as you walked towards the Marui's balcony. Neytiri gets up quickly chasing after you.
"Y/N!!!" neytiri holds your hand, you didn't want to look at her. You were too overwhelmed. "Tell me what you are saying is not true. You love us, you love me and Jake. We can work this out." neytiri makes you look at her. She knew you were right, but she couldn't let you go. Let one of her children go away. "I can't stand jake" you yell a little. Neytiri stands there in silence, she knew you weren't really saying it, you loved Jake. Something was happening to you. "You are not serious" neytiri sounded sad. "Ney…let's go away, the two of us, let's go back home. I need to be home" you start crying, the more you talk. Neytiri pulls you to her chest, wrapping you in a very tight hug. "Ma y/n…be calm. I miss our home too" says neytiri. Sitting there, with you in her arms.she sensed something was happening to you, something in you was changing, you weren't like that. Meanwhile, Jake was not far from you. He felt so bad…this was his fault.
"Do you think mom will leave us?" tuk looks at neteyam and kiri. The group of kids had been spying on their parents, when they saw lo'ak come out of the marui. The boy was sitting next to neteyam. He was still teary-eyed. "Well I'm going to my mama's," said lo'ak, he was upset. "I…I don't know. But I don't want mom to leave" neteyam looks back inside the marui. This is the first time he has seen his parents argue like this.
P.s I promise I will upload the next part soon. But I would like to know what you guys think so far. And what do you think is going to happen?

Just Dance Care AU!
Ok ok so I thought of a story for this Au but it’s nothing really impactful or full of drama and angst like my other au’s, I wanted to leave this au easy and fun to play around, because, let’s say it. Just Dance and drama in the same sentence makes me laugh.
story and PNG version under the cut!
(I gave up on Y/n design because I couldn't figure out a general look for them. This is you we are talking about! Draw your own JD fit, I'll draw mine soon XD)
Anyway here’s the story so far:
Year 2029, videogames industry made a huge step forward and classic consoles and devices were substituted by the new and upgraded VR headsets with full body tracking. It’s something like the NerveGear in Sword Art Online without the kill switch. Some games still require you to actually move your body (like fitness games or sports because yeah, they don’t have a purpose otherwise).
Y/n wanted to buy the newest VR headset but, while searching for the best offer, they found out FazCo entertainment was hosting a giveaway, the prize? One of their prototypes, a VR meant to be released the next year coinciding with the opening of their first mega pizza plex.
(so the plex doesn’t exist right now). You decide to sign up for the giveaway and after a while you receive an email telling you you won the VR headset and that, to claim it, you need to read and sign a series of NDA policies (understandable, it’s a prototype headset that’s not even in commerce). Some clauses are a little bit concerning but nothing you hadn’t read on other electronics booklets, so you decide to sign. After, like, a day, you have the VR in your hands.
The box let you know with super saturated and colorful writing, that the VR came with a game pre-installed inside. Uh, that’s why they were giving one away, they wanted a free game tester…but you know what, it’s worth it.
You always liked Just Dance games, they make you think about happy memories of your childhood. This pre-installed game called “Five Dances at Freddy’s” is a close copy of your childhood game with original FazCo songs, characters, environments and also some collaborations with other famous artists. It probably will be the cause of a big copyright infringement report.
There are various ways to play it: story mode, Casual dance, Five Dances, and Just Dance Care.
The first one is similar to the casual dance mode but with little cutscenes between a dance and another to tell a tale, Casual dance is how you can play the collab songs, Five Dances is the multiplayer mode and Just Dance Care is a more uhhhh “hard” way to play the game with all the other modes mixed in it. You stare at the description of the last mode smirking and decide to try it first just to see how far you can get before losing (yes you can lose in hard mode in this Just Dance, but you don’t die, you just have to restart from the beginning). Turns out the FazCo wasn’t kidding when they advertised the new headset as a breakthrough in the world of virtual reality headsets, the thing TRANSPORTED you inside the game itself.
You almost have a heart attack when you can’t find your VR on your head, but before you can try something you are blocked by two tall individuals who you think are the “tutorial” characters.
Yadda yadda, tutorial, you can pause the game and exit whenever you need just by opening an hidden menu, you find out your tutorial characters are called Sun and Moon and that you are way worse than you remembered at dancing (damn full body tracking, there is no way you are going to do a cartwheel in the middle of a dance, you still don’t know if your body is inside your home and if you’ll physically feel pain if you fall and you don’t want to find out).
You pass an embarrassingly long time trying to win your first dance battle just to discover it was still the tutorial.
You try to go on with the story but you fail at the first real battle with a bear character named Freddy.
And guess what? You have to start again from the tutorial! Y/n is gonna spend A LOT of time with Sun and Moon if this goes on.

Genya with a s/o who basically the enemy of Sanemi but loves Genya a lot headcanons?
Ngl, this request made me chuckle as it just made me picture genya trying to hold back his s/o from punching sanemi XD
Oh my god! Or the meme with the lady holding the dude while pointing at another dude XD
Thank you so much for requesting! Especially since I've not had many genya requests and its an honest to god crime....
Anyway!
I hope that you enjoy and that i've done your request justice, come back to request whenever you like as your more than welcome to return (^w^. )
Genya Shinazugawa with an S/O who's enemies with Sanemi - [Headcannons]
If Genya got paid every single time you and his brother fought, he'd be rich enough to buy you something fancy and a house - but he didn't so bargaining you away with promises of affection and snack would have to do...
You were so sweet with him - so kind and understanding and patient with him that the first time you'd held his hands he'd almost started sobbing
You just hated Sanemi.....
Like, really hated him - "He's an arsehole Gen!" You'd proclaimed hands vigorously scrubbing away at the dirt on the table after dinner "I hate him and his face!"
It was safe to say that Sanemi didn't really like you either but then again he didn't really like anyone to begin with... - "I hate your partners face Genya, (He/She/They) annoy me and I'd punch 'em at any given opportunity"
Your soft words of love (to Genya) turn to hard acid whenever Sanemi makes an appearance - thinly veiled threats and insults exchanged quickly - and Genya always has to take a step back from the poison you spit, thankful (and slightly amused) that it's never directed towards him
Beautiful Smile shifting into a battle-worn snarl (a flash of canine and a vein prominent in your forehead) as you enter a stance that's very reminiscent of a street brawler
9/10 you two end up brawling
It didn't matter where you two went - to the market, training grounds, a mission or on the way home - you somehow managed to lock on and find Sanemi
"I can just feel his annoying, smug energy and it makes me want to punch him"
Genya quickly finds himself developing a sanemi radar too - especially a radar that works whenever the two of you go out - that out ranks yours, specifically so he can whisk you both away before you spot him and a verbal altercation occurs
On the days where your both acting "nice" to each other (which is very rare) you and sanemi still make poorly concealed jabs at each other
In an effort to get the both of you to get along (even if its only slighty) Genya sometimes made you both wear a "getting along" kimono (much like the getting along t-shirt) so that you both weren't fighting
"If neither of you can be nice to each other for an hour, I'm not gonna speak to either of you for the rest of the day" which is quickly followed by you complaining before trying to get along with the enemy (aka. Sanemi)
Also you know the meme where there's a guy in a armchair and he asks the other dude to look at him before calling dude.2 bitch? yeah, thats you and sanemi when genya's not looking

Sloth Brains and Spine of Lionfish ~ George Weasley
This is a continuation of my ongoing George Weasley fanfic, so make sure you read the other parts first (here's part 1). I need to figure out what the overall fic name should be, so if anyone has ideas, let me know XD
Warnings: none
Word count: 5.2k
“And we’ve inquired about renting a place in Diagon Alley.” George easily skipped the vanishing step, turning around to offer his hand. I ignored it, jumping the step on my own and nearly losing hold of my books for my trouble. Unbothered, George gestured grandly with the untaken hand. “Weasley’s Wizard Wheezes, we’ve called it.”
We reached the bottom of the staircase, making our way down the nearly empty corridor. I liked to walk to my classes before the castle walkways were clogged up with bodies and sounds, and most of the other students were still at lunch. Funny, George never seemed to mind the crowds before, yet now he walked with me in the empty hallways between every class.
George hopped up on the bench against the wall, walking along the wood with his arms stretched out for balance. “We should have a response before we all go home for Christmas, and possibly have the place rented before school lets out.”
I dodged the ghost of Erling the Great that had just appeared through the wall, hoping he didn’t see me. I did not want to get trapped into one of his onerous and endless stories again. “So you’ll be selling all those prototypes the two of you’ve been testing on the first years?”
“Yup." George hopped down to walk beside me again. "Plus a few more we’ve got up our sleeves. We’re testing another one tonight, and if it’s finally ready, it’ll be one of our staples in the shop.” The light in George’s eyes as he spoke about his dream was unlike his normal errant sparkle. The shine wasn’t born of mischief, it was born of passion, and it seemed to lift George’s very heels as he bounced excitedly forward.
“Well, I’m certain it’ll be brilliant.” Distracted, I hadn’t even thought about the words before they came flying out of my mouth. I pressed my fingertips to my lips, unsure if I were more horrified or embarrassed.
George’s bouncing paused, and he turned the full weight of his vexingly self-possessed smirk on me. “Is that so?”
Embarrassed. Definitely embarrassed.
My cheeks blazing, I scowled at him. “Don’t crow, it’s unbecoming.”
The redhead absentmindedly knocked the railing at the top of the next flight of stairs, causing the stairs to ripple a bit and then resolidify. “I’m just revelling in the compliment.”
“It’s hardly a compliment, more a statement of fact.”
His eyebrows lifted. “Oh?”
“Don’t look at me like that.” I forged past him down the stairs, ignoring the slight tremble I felt underneath my feet. The staircase—objectively the most sensitive staircase in the castle—was just pouting over George’s knock. “The two of you are persuasive, which is objectively a good skill to have for retail, not to mention the shrewdness required for the strategy of business and the creativity and intelligence to make new products. I’d wager you’ve already made a fair bit of coin here at Hogwarts, so with a centralised location that can be open full-time, you’ll make a fortune, and likely–” I closed my mouth, pressing my lips together.
Too much. I’d said too much.
The faint, impossibly warm chuckle from behind me made me shiver. “Well, when I have a fortune, I can perhaps afford to buy you a Christmas present.”
I stopped, rooted to the step. George passed me, continuing down a few more steps before seeming to notice I wasn’t beside him and turning to face me with a puzzled expression. "What?"
“Don’t buy me anything.” From my position three stairs higher than him, I had a tactical advantage were this to become a situation where my wand was necessary. Any offensive attack I unleashed would be that much harder to defend against.
But George stuck his hands in his pockets, seemingly unconcerned. “With trying to go into business and all, I couldn’t rustle up enough Galleons if my life depended on it.”
“Don’t spend anything on me,” I repeated, easily masking my sudden nausea as distaste. Gifts were pointless at best, painful at worst.
The incessantly inquisitive and contrary Gryffindor tilted his head, his eyes giving me a strangely sharp assessment that made me wonder if I wasn’t masking as well as I thought. “Why not?”
I forced myself to woodenly descend the steps and then turn the corner towards the Potions classroom. “There’s nothing I need.”
“But surely there’s something nice you want?”
“There’s nothing I want either.”
“Now you’re just joshing. Everyone wants something.”
“What do you want?” I shot back.
“I told you.” George opened the door to the Potions classroom. “To buy you a Christmas gift.”
I didn’t walk through the doorway. “Well, I want you to not buy me a Christmas gift.”
“Nah, that doesn’t work.”
“Why not?”
“Your wanting can’t just cancel someone else’s wanting. That’s like asking for it to drizzle when you don’t even like drizzles and only because I like the sunshine.” His tone was perplexingly even and carefree, despite the venom of my words. And he still held the door open.
I gripped my books tight to my chest. “Christmas gifts are like sunshine?”
“No, you are like sunshine,” George replied, the corner of his mouth curling in an infuriatingly charming smirk. He had no right to look like that when being sarcastic. “With all your suspicion and compliments and enthusiastic statements of fact, why, you just make me feel warm all over.”
“Then go step out in the snow,” I said crossly, finally walking under his arm into the classroom.
A cauldron bubbled merrily up by Professor Snape’s desk, just in front of the blank chalkboard. Reaching my potions station off to the left, I dropped my books down, the resulting thud much too loud but ultimately satisfying. I waited for the dungeon door to close, signalling that George had left and allowing the pit in my stomach to dissolve. But when it did close, I couldn’t help feeling a bit disappointed.
“Anyone sit here?”
I looked up in time to see George gently set a copy of Advanced Potion-Making on the station next to me.
“What are you doing?”
He flipped through the pages, his eyes trailing down the text. “Sitting in class with you.”
A fledgling of panic rustled its wings in my stomach. “You’re not in this class.” George hadn’t achieved the Outstanding required on his O.W.L.s to continue Potions at the N.E.W.T. level.
“Well, I see no harm in sitting in. Hogwarts rewards those who seek knowledge, you know.”
There was harm. There was much harm indeed. “George, class is going to start soon.”
George calmly met my gaze. “Lucky for us, I don’t have anywhere else to be.”
“Are you insane?” I hissed. “They’ll eat you alive.”
“Better me than you.” His light tone couldn’t disguise the weight of his words.
I paused, studying his freckled face. “Is that what this is about? You’re trying to rescue me again?”
“Prevent the need for rescuing, actually.” George pulled out his seat, sitting down and pulling out his potion-making kit, which clearly hadn’t been used in a while. “And be careful, or I’ll think you don’t want me to sit next to you.”
“I don’t.” Especially not when our peers were about to walk in, including Warrington. Not to mention Snape. George's misguided attempts would only succeed in making us both targets.
Unconcerned, George pulled a quill, an ink pot, and parchment out of his bag. “I promise I’ll be a model pupil.”
How did he do it? How did he brush it all off like the words meant nothing? Like consequences didn't exist? He just sat there, easily relaxing against the back of his chair like he had the ultimate conviction that it would hold him up as long as he needed.
The classroom door opened, and I immediately but subtly slid into my seat, hoping against hope that somehow our peers wouldn’t notice us.
But hoping George Weasley was unnoticeable was as useful as asking a kappa not to eat you. Warrington’s wicked eyes settled on George before sliding to me. I ducked my head. Maybe Warrington’s similarity to hippogriffs didn’t end with his looks and the sign of reverence would make him less dangerous.
But even as Warrington finally sat down, directly in front of Snape’s desk, I could still feel stares.
My peers didn’t often remember I existed, as I intended. I didn’t answer questions in class, I stayed out of trouble, I took care not to offend anyone who mattered and not overly involve myself in anything. It protected me, and it protected Clem. And yet as everyone, Gryffindor and Slytherin alike, stared at me with shock and disapproval, I knew they remembered me now. And that remembrance was going to bite me where it hurt.
I shrunk down in my seat, holding my elbows tightly. George leaned over to me. “Relax,” he said softly. “No one is going to curse you in the middle of class.”
“It’s not the middle of class I’m worried about,” I muttered, more to myself than to him.
His lips pursed, but before he could reply, the dungeon door banged open, and Professor Snape strode to the front, his cloak billowing behind him like shadows of prejudice and loathing. I could see the moment the potions master noticed George. His beady eyes narrowed, sending my trepidation through the roof. It was hard to know which house was more despised by the other in the Gryffindor-Slytherin rivalry, but Professor Snape did not have the same amount of integrity within the rivalry as Professor McGonagall.
“A new student today,” Professor Snape mused, the slow delivery of every word promising trouble. I sat so stiffly, my shoulder muscles were beginning to hurt, but George stayed calm and seemingly unaffected. “Is there a reason for this…change?”
“Yes, sir, I just really wanted to hear today’s lecture,” George said politely.
“How studious of you.” Professor Snape crossed his arms, warning of the incoming confrontation. “I suppose, Mr. Weasley,” he said in his characteristically flat tone, “that you’re also studious enough to tell me what sloth brains are used for.”
George didn’t move from his laid-back yet attentive position. “Sir, that would be dragon dung fertiliser.”
The curl of Professor Snape’s mouth made me tense. “Of course. I would expect someone of your,” he paused as he rested a hand next to George’s worn textbook, “inclinations to misguidedly name dung as being the correct answer.”
A few snickers rang through the classroom, the Slytherins ready for the millionth round of Gryffindor mistreatment. “Daft Weasley,” said Warrington’s unmistakable voice, loud enough to echo through the whole classroom yet remarkably and predictably soft enough that Professor Snape didn’t seem to hear.
But I knew he had, judging by the hateful glitter in his eyes. The professor leaned in closer to George, who still hadn’t moved from his position. “Ten points from–”
“He’s not daft.”
I barely realised the words had come out of my mouth until everyone in the classroom turned to look at me. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw George straighten in his chair.
“Excuse me?” Professor Snape finally asked. If the potions master could manage a sincere expression, he’d be aghast. As it was, he looked at me with the same chronically detached countenance he always wore.
Underneath the table, a hand brushed my leg, but I ignored it.
“Sloth brain mucus is used in the creation of dragon dung fertiliser, which Professor Sprout names as the superior fertiliser for magical plants. If you wanted him to answer what sloth brains are used for in this class, you should’ve specified, at which point he would’ve clearly said the Draught of Living Death.” I stared resolutely back at Professor Snape as the classroom fell silent aside from the bubbling of the example potion beside Professor Snape’s desk. “Sir,” I added belatedly.
The only sign of the professor’s surprise and uncertainty was the rapid blinks. “He would’ve clearly said it?” Professor Snape asked finally. “Then I suppose Mr. Weasley would also be able to tell me what colour sloth brains turns the Draught of Living Death, hmmm?”
“Cyan.” George’s posture, straight as an arrow, revealed the strain he was now apparently—and tardily—feeling. “It turns the potion from pink to cyan.”
See? I thought victoriously as I watched Professor Snape’s jaw move in a suspiciously gnashing way. I was right. He’s not daft.
“Detention,” the professor finally said.
“Yes, sir,” George responded, lowering his eyes.
“Not you, Weasley.” The dark eyes turned on me. “You, Miss Y/L/N.” George’s hand balled into a fist. “For speaking out of turn.”
I met the head of my house’s eyes without flinching. “Yes, sir.”
As Professor Snape continued the lesson, I noticed with slight triumph that he’d completely forgotten to take ten points from Gryffindor or give George detention for showing up.
But the triumph shrank as the class continued and George’s posture remained stiff.
-
After brewing a nearly perfect Antidote to Veritaserum and being assigned a 42-inch essay on exactly how the antidote combatted compulsory truth-telling, class ended. Instead of waiting for Warrington and the others to leave, I shoved everything into my bag and was the first one to the door. But nowhere could I go at no possible speed to avoid the fiery anger burning behind me.
“What were you thinking?” George hissed as I walked towards my common room.
“Snape doesn’t get to treat you that way,” I replied with equal fervour, wondering at how completely my compliance had disappeared. “And neither does Warrington, the prat.”
A hand closed around my elbow, turning me around. “Beg Snape’s forgiveness,” George demanded. “Maybe you can beg off spending the night in the dungeons.”
“I won’t,” I snapped, wrenching my arm out of his admittedly gentle grip. “Because they were wrong; you’re not stupid. It was a stupid question. He just wanted to mock you–”
“I’ve been mocked nearly every day of my life!” The response was so impassioned that George’s cheeks were going red. “I can handle it.”
“Well, I can’t!” I said sharply. “It’s not fair.”
“Oh, like you serving detention on behalf of your brother?”
I glanced around quickly, noticing the few seventh years loitering in the corridor. Were they gathering more evidence about the sudden and unorthodox alliance between George and I? Would any of them report back to Warrington? Or Snape? Or Merlin forbid, Umbridge?
Seizing George’s wrist, I dragged him off into an alcove, pulling so roughly that he nearly bonked his head into the sloped decorative wood carving of the tiny space. “How is what I did any different than what you’ve done for me?” The snarling tone of my words made me think of my lioness Patronus. Perhaps a lioness was more apt than I’d originally thought.
George, however, looked nothing like his mischievous and light-hearted magpie. “Because you disrespected a professor!”
"So did you! If you hadn't sat in the class, the whole thing could've been avoided!"
"Snape already hates me! But he's your head of house, and now you've insulted him!"
I glared at him. “And if McGonagall treated me like that, would you just sit there and not say anything?” He wouldn’t, we both knew it.
George scoffed deep in his throat. “That doesn’t matter, she would never do something like that.”
“Come off it, George!” I impatiently readjusted my heavy books, resisting the urge to toss them at him. “You would stand up for me!” He had stood up for me, many times over.
George pressed his lips together so tightly, they started to whiten, stubbornly refusing to say what we both knew was true. “You shouldn’t have done it.”
I scowled. “You don’t get to tell me what I should and shouldn’t do.”
“Someone has to, since you clearly weren’t born with basic self-preservation!”
Livid, I tossed my head and stormed out of the alcove towards my common room where the foolhardy twin couldn’t follow me.
“What happened to not lifting a finger to help or hurt anyone?” George called after me, so loudly that the other noises in the hallway hushed.
I lifted a finger over my shoulder in an obscene gesture as my only reply.
-
My footsteps echoed through the dungeons as I neared the potions classroom. Somewhere above my head was the Great Hall, lit up with enchanted candles and everlasting torches. In the dungeons, however, the torches were so sparse, it was easy to grow convinced that there was something lying in wait in every shadow.
“I received a new Spine of Lionfish shipment this morning,” Snape was saying, gesturing towards my potions station where a stack of boxes lay before returning to the parchment he was writing on. “You will crush them all into powder without using magic. When you are finished, and only then, are you allowed to leave.”
Spine of Lionfish. Capable of causing pain and paralysis. I licked my lips. “Sir, am I allowed to wear my gloves?”
The potions master paused in his writing, making my heart sink as I tried to guess how great a punishment Professor Snape meant to inflict on me. “Yes,” he said finally.
Worried my relief would make him change his mind, I concealed it before nodding and sitting down at the desk, pulling out my dragonskin gloves and getting started.
It would’ve been meditative to pulverise the white and red spines if I wasn’t constantly aware of how long it would take to grind three boxes of spines when my mortar could only hold five spines at a time. I glanced over at the desk to see Professor Snape hunched over, his nose inches from the parchment he wrote on, as if he was struggling to see it.
I popped open a vial, holding my breath so that I wouldn’t accidentally inhale any of the powder as I poured it inside the vial and labelled it.
Each vial could hold the powder of about fifty spines, and I’d filled four vials when Professor Snape suddenly rose from his desk. He pulled at his cloak, untangling it from his legs as best as he could while holding a letter. Whatever the letter was, it was either important or elicited some sentiment to make him clench it so tightly. Without saying a word, Professor Snape left.
I poured the powder into the half-full vial before dropping new spines inside the mortar. It might take me all night to finish my detention, but finish it I would. Once punished, my defiance would hopefully fade in memory.
Detention would ease Snape’s ire, but my classmates would likely look to retaliate in their own ways. I took a deep breath. As long as they stayed away from Clem, I would accept whatever punishment they doled out.
A soft rasp sounded behind me, making me freeze. And in that stillness, the unmistakable sound of a footstep sounded from behind me.
Would they interfere with the completion of my detention? Would Warrington, Parkinson, and Goyle really try to subject me to further wrath from our head of house?
Keeping the rest of my body still, I slyly slipped my hand off my pestle and into my pocket, gripping my wand. After a moment’s pause, I whirled around, thrusting my wand out. “Immobulus!” The blue spell shot from my wand tip.
“Protego.” My attacker’s wand arced, my blue projectile dissolving upon contact with the invisible shield.
Lifting my wand, another spell was about to leap from my lips when I finally recognized the face in the shadows. “What are you doing here?” I hissed.
George pocketed his wand before flinging himself down on the nearest seat as if it were a fainting couch. “I came to help my knight in shining armour. After defending my honour, I could hardly leave my dainty yet plucky princess to toil away in the dungeons.”
I clenched my wand, my heart beating at a pace I would fiercely deny if it were brought up. “I thought you said I was a knight.”
“Maybe you’re both.”
“Maybe I’m neither.” I glanced at him. “You’re a lot more dainty than me anyhow.” And a lot more chivalrous, though he didn’t need to know that.
George sighed like the weight of the world rested on his shoulders. “Can’t help it if I have easily bruisable skin, can I?” How strange. He seemed to have completely recovered from our fight earlier.
“Seriously, Weasley, what are you doing here?”
“Ooh, she brings out the last name.” George grinned. “That’s how I know I’ve got your stylish knickers in a twist.” I raised an eyebrow, and his smile fell. “Not that I’m making assumptions about your…knicker…preferences.” His cheeks were red again, but instead of accompanying the flush with a glare like earlier, he averted his eyes over towards the window where darkness was quickly falling.
“I’ll repeat my question,” I said, sparing him from acknowledging his obvious embarrassment. “What are you doing here?”
I definitely imagined the relief on his face as he dropped into the chair beside me. “Serving your detention with you.”
I returned to my mortar and pestle, grinding the spines with more aggression than before. “I know you have better things to do, perhaps some testing to do on first-years?”
“Fred can test the Canary Creams without me.”
“He’ll rename your business ‘Fred’s Wizard Wheezes’.”
George gave a short laugh, crossing his legs. “Naw, FWW doesn’t have the same ring as WWW.”
“If Snape finds out you helped me with the work, he’ll get angry.” I didn’t want the professor getting any angrier at either of us.
“Then I won’t touch anything. I’ll just help you pass the time.”
“By regaling me with more business plans?” My words were coming out all wrong, sharp and heated. George was being thoughtful, and yet I couldn’t seem to check my prickliness.
“If you like. I also have some fabulous stories to tell about pranks or family or even the sausage rolls I ate for breakfast.”
My pestle scraped a little too hard against the mortar. “Maybe your knight prefers silence.” I glared down at the lovely pink powder. Without the proper knowledge, someone might mistake the powder for something innocuous, like fairy dust or rose sugar. But the seductive material could cause serious damage.
“I think I know my knight better than that.” His voice had no right to be that gentle.
“Don’t flatter yourself.” He wasn’t being flattering, he was right on, but I wasn’t going to tell him that. “Maybe you don’t know her at all,” I said lightly, pouring the powder into the vial before dropping the next five spines into the mortar.
A hand found my waist, and I stopped grinding the chalky spines. My eyes fluttered shut at the sparks flying beneath my skin. I turned around, resting my gloved hands on his shoulder to push him away, but my muscles wouldn't do it.
I felt as though the warmth in George’s brown eyes was somehow pouring into me, chasing away the chill of the dungeon and shadows.
“Trust me,” I warned, “you don’t want to get close.”
“That’s just like you,” George said softly, his eyes fixed on some point beneath my nose, “just like you to tell me what I do and don’t want.”
“George, I’m serious.”
“So am I.” He licked his lips. “Uncommonly so.”
Fear flooded my body, tangling with the warmth to make a strange buzzing sensation. “Is this your plan?” I asked shakily. “The Gryffindor gets close to the Slytherin and then makes fun of her to all his friends because she fell for it?” I pressed my hand over the wand in my robes, prepared to pull it out again. “I won’t fall for it.”
George's hand brushed against mine. I wanted to pretend that he was trying to keep me from drawing it, but the gesture was too tender, too comforting to believe it. He stepped closer. “Maybe the Gryffindor is the one falling for it.”
“Sounds more accurate.” My voice was embarrassingly high-pitched and breathy. I cleared my throat. “Gryffindors are more gullible than Slytherins.”
“Can this gullible Gryffindor ask a question?”
He was too close. I needed to step away, to put some space in between us, but one step away was my potion station with venomous powdered Spine of Lionfish. “No,” I managed to say. “No questions.”
George lifted a hand to tuck my hair behind my ear. “Can I kiss you?”
My hands shook. If I needed to draw my wand, I wasn’t sure I would be able to hold it. “I said no questions.” Especially no questions that I didn’t know how to answer.
His face came closer to mine until all I could see was the expanse of fair skin beneath freckles. “I’d rather drink the Draught of Living Death than be like Warrington…and yet I’m trying not to read into the fact that you seemed more ready to kiss his boot than kiss me.”
I couldn’t respond or think when he was this close. When his lips were so close that I could feel his breath on my face. He couldn’t even do me the favour of having halitosis or even just onions and garlic for lunch?
“That’s…it’s…I mean,” I stammered. Why was it impossible to form anything coherent? I would’ve been happy with a snarky comment or a quick denial.
George tilted his head back slightly, looking me in the eye. “Say no. Say no, and I’ll sit back down and tell you about the recipe for Canary Creams.”
The refusal was prepared on my tongue, ready to launch and return both of us to the refuge of platonic banter with sporadic sincerity. Things were already too dangerous for the two of us, and the true threats of the castle and beyond hadn’t even started yet. It was better for both of us if I said no. I needed to say no.
But I couldn’t do it.
I never before had trouble doing what would keep myself and my brother safe, but being with George Weasley flew in the very face of safety, and I couldn't bring myself to back away.
His nose brushed against mine, and I marvelled at how smooth his skin was. I’d half-expected to feel bumps on the skin from his freckles. “Say no,” he whispered.
“I can’t,” I whispered. I wasn’t sure if the words referred to saying no or to kissing him, but George seemed to know.
Arms encircled my waist, secure and unavoidable. Lips pressed against mine, warm and soft and utterly, completely George. He was everywhere, even where he wasn’t touching me because all my body could do was sigh and all my mind could conjure were red locks and brown eyes.
He pulled back. “Do you–”
I rose to my tiptoes, kissing him before he could finish. George, apparently, didn’t mind, giving up on his words immediately to kiss me back. His fingers brushed back my hair, a gesture so comforting that I melted into him.
I pulled my gloves off, desperate to feel his face with my hands. The dragon scales let out a loud noise as they hit the stone floor, but I didn’t care, finally able to caress his face.
Without breaking the kiss, George stepped forward, moving me back on my tiptoes. I didn’t know where he was taking me, and I didn’t care enough to stop what we were doing and look.
George took another step forward when there was a clunking sound.
The latch of the door, I realised in horror. Instantly, George’s warmth disappeared, and I whirled around, frantically grinding at the spines while sweeping my gloves underneath the potion station with my toe.
Heart hammering, I heard the door open. The torches in the hallway casting momentary shadows before the door closed again.
Act natural, I thought frantically. Act like you've just been here the whole time, serving detention. But my inability to take a full breath undermined the nonchalance I was attempting. My lips burned, as if by kissing George, I’d kissed pure flames.
“Miss Y/L/N.” Somehow, Snape’s voice was more chilling than before.
Slowly, I swivelled to face the potions master. He didn’t look any more suspicious than he normally did, but he was never the type to emote.
There was a flash of movement over his shoulder, and I looked to see George with his back pressed to the wall of the dungeon, perfectly in between two torches where the shadows could partially conceal him. Quickly, I looked back to Snape, noting for the first time in my life with relief that the professor’s beady eyes were trained on me.
“You are free to go.”
I blinked, trying to ignore George creeping over to the dungeon door. “Sir, I haven’t finished–”
Professor Snape waved his wand, enchanting the mortar and pestle sets against the wall to soar over to the boxes and start grinding spines of their own accord. “You’ve been here for long enough.”
George reached the door, lifting the latch silently and sliding through a tiny crack in the door.
I nearly crumpled with relief, turning my attention back to Snape. “Sir, are you sure–”
“I’ve already taken points off Gryffindor.”
I frowned before quickly making my face blank. George lost points, regardless of my outburst. My actions today in class accomplished nothing.
“As for you, I won’t take any house points.”
Predictable.
“But I’ve written to your parents.”
I froze.
My parents—who represented just a blip in the long history the Y/L/N family of pureblooded Slytherins and yet championed the legacy with every movement—would soon know. As I looked into Snape’s glittering eyes, I knew he’d told them everything and knew the magnitude of punishment I’d be receiving. His grin widened as I remained still as a statue. Not only did he know, he relished it. “You’re dismissed.”
Snape lowered himself into the chair behind his desk, taking his time as he folded his long, bony fingers.
So thoroughly unable to move, I wondered if some of the dangerous pink powder had somehow made it into my body.
“Did you hear me?” The displeasure in Snape’s voice sounded like the cracking of a whip, and like a frightened mare, I stirred into action.
“Yes, sir, goodnight, sir.” I swiftly knelt to grab my gloves and put them on before dumping the spines in my mortar into the box again.
It wasn’t until I was pulling the dungeon door open that I remembered George, my fear only increasing.
But instead of George awaiting me, it was the cantankerous caretaker, Mr. Filch. “Out of bed, are we?” he snarled, looking quite pleased.
“I w-was finishing detention!” I burst out. “I’m on my way to bed, I swear!”
“You’d better hurry then.” Chapped lips curved upwards to show yellow teeth.
I fled from the teeth, from the spines, and from the consequences of the kiss. I ran as fast as my legs could carry me, horror nipping at my heels.
“Advantage,” I said quickly, and the door to the Slytherin Common Room opened. I ducked inside and ran as fast as I could towards my dormitory, not stopping until I flung myself down on my bed, burying my face in my pillow.
Merlin, what had I done?

Hello! I uhm wanted to ask you if we can get another part of being like takemitches twin? Like specifically how the other gangs would react to you fighting and being a girl? Thank you 🫶💗
Fandom; Tokyo Revengers
Hcs; What's it's like to be Tokyo Revengers younger/older siblings .
Note; i didn't expect it to be this popular lmao. Also. warning might contain some spoiler for those who just start the anime. i thought about putting brahman too but it's still not out in anime yet. Also, you can my favorite and my least favorite here XD.
Being Takemichi twin sister part two:-
Black Dragon:
You just want to have one day without you being drag into Takemichi problem but no, you got a call from Takuya saying Takemichi got his ass beaten in church.
Just one day, but no, seem like holy spirit want to see you suffering because your mom told you to drag Takemichi back home so you guys can have dinner together.
So here you are, ignoring the fight happening around you as you go straight to the church. Yamagishi about to cheer your name when he sees the pissed expression on your face, and he start praying for taiju.
Imagine Taiju who about to punch Yuzuha stop when someone push the door open and yell out, "Hanagaki Takemichi!!" and Takemichi like, "Oh shit, full name. I f*ck up."
Inui already know who you are, he sees you dragging Takemichi back home one day by ear. See, he once tries to stop you since he wants to talk to Takemichi but you kick him between his legs, so he politely steps aside to avoid not able to produce heir anymore.
But Taiju is another story, he sneers at you and stop you from taking another step, "who the hell are you, can you see that-"
Just before he can say anything, you rush toward him, Taiju let out a small gasp not expecting you to rush head on. He throws a right punch, but you slip underneath him, clenching your left fist you aim for his family jewel and punch it hard that all male in the church share the same pain.
Taiju falls on the ground holding his crotch, he lifts his head up to yell at you, but you already pull your arm back, without any mercy you start repeatedly punching Taiju in the face, not giving him a chance to recover.
Inui now start thinking whether he should just join toman as he stares at you beating the shit out of Taiju, Kokonoi have a second thought about this event. And Taiju, he, well might need a ride to hospital.
"Takemichi sister is stronger than him." Inui say as he looks at you drag your brother away, " Wait, what?" Koko look at Inui with a wide eye, "Oh right, that's [name], takemichi twin sister." Yuzuha looks at the unconscious Taiju, "Well, damn. I think i like her more now."
Overal: Yuzuha now has a girl crush, Inui start planning on calling takemichi brother-in-law, Kokonoi will literally buy you anything because Inui like you, Taiju has a second thought; wondering if his siblings as strong as you will he end up in hospital sooner?
Bonus: Mikey who about to help the other stare in confusion when he sees you dragging Takemichi out by an ear, yelling and scolding him. He peeks inside the church and see Taiju laying on the floor, beaten up to pulp. "Gotta marry her someday." He thought.
Tenjiku:
Izana knows about you because Mikey like you, so he thought about, why don't we have a chat with you for a bit.
On your way back home from school, you see a group of males hogging around in front of your house. Curious you step closer to them and ask why they here.
Haitani brothers point out at how similar you are to Takemichi, which you answer with duh, obviously. But then you see Kakucho and you recognize him, you greet him saying it's been long time since last you see him. kakucho can't help but blush when you step closer to him because he *cough*haveacrushonyouonce*cough*.
Izana notice this obviously want the best for his servant and take the lead, he asks you a few questions. Mostly about your relationship with Mikey. Which the answers are no.
You sigh and tell them to leave you alone since you are not really an official member of Toman. You about to walk away when Ran stop you, without much thought you flip Ran over your shoulder making him crash on the ground.
Silence. Pure silence.
Izana being curious piece of art he is wanted to test your strength because why not? When you busy apologize to stunned Ran, Izana throws a fake punch at you, but you dodge it by reflex. Oh, now he really interested.
You two start fighting, well, more like you dodging and he is attacking. Much to the other surprise you manage to dodge every single one of it.
"What are you guys doing?" Takemichi who just come back from meeting Mikey look at you guys confusedly and worryingly.
You two stop the fight because Takemichi ruin the fun, izana word not you. Izana whisper something toward you before he walks away with the other following him.
'If Mikey want you then i want you too.' is what he whispers and you like, wtf? aren't you like eighteen? red flags much?
"[Name] never change. She still looks like her brother." Kakucho said out loud making them all look at him. "...That's a girl?" Izana asks, "Yeah? Don't you see she wear girl uniform?"-"...Well, damn!"
Overall: stay away from izana if you want to survive, kakucho want to see you again and maybe you two can get a drink together, Ran is intrigue and wonder if you are stronger than you look and Rindou wonder if you willing to go out with him.

For the guys who want kids
S/o is shy so instead of just saying "let's adopt/have kids" they leave baby/kid clothes around the house to try and tell him without telling him
Undertale Sans - Oh. Uh... He doesn't feel pressure at all right now. Sans would have preferred way more if you ask him directly. It's not like he's against having kids, it's just, that's a big step you know? You already buying children's clothes is too much of a big step. He needs time, he's not ready.
Undertale Papyrus - You can hear him gasp from the other side of the house, then run as fast as light to your room to ask for explanations. He's very enthusiastic about the idea of adopting kids, more than making them. It's not against you, it's just... He doesn't enjoy the way you make a baby. But he's fine with having one!
Underswap Sans - If he pretends there are no baby clothes around, he doesn't have to talk about it. Blue is very, very reticent to have children, and he doesn't like the way you asked him. He's pretty much in denial and pretends it never happened. He doesn't want to talk about this now, it's stressing him out.
Underswap Papyrus - FINALLY! He had no idea how to tell you he wants kids because he is so awkward when he has to ask if you want to have sex lol. He's kinda relieved you read him or did not read him at all and that's just a coincidence, who cares! Let's go, he's so happy!
Underfell Sans - Woah, woah, WOAH. Too fast! Too fast, he's out of here! When he sees all the baby clothes around, he starts to hyperventilate, runs to the door, and starts running for his life as far away as he can lol. Maybe prepare him to the idea before that. He's not ready, and now he's terrified. Good luck with that.
Underfell Papyrus - That's the first time you see him speechless. He doesn't know what to even say. His mind is entirely blank. That's... something he didn't see coming. He's too in shock to give you any answer though. Maybe later? Right now he needs to reboot himself.
Horrortale Sans - He's confused why there are baby clothes everywhere. He is kinda wondering if he put them here actually, and if he put them here... Why??? He's not sure what to do of this so he starts to clean because he doesn't want you to get mad at him for trashing the house. You facepalm. Not once he thought about the meaning of the clothes, sorry xD
Horrortale Papyrus - His face immediately turns bright orange. OH. He nervously looks between you and the clothes, unsure about that. He understands, and he would love to, but... Man, he's full of insecurities, he's so scared he's going to give them to his child. Maybe you two should talk a bit more about this.
Swapfell Sans - "Ah, I see you want to copulate to produce an heir." You smack him behind the head. Why the hell does he have to say it so weirdly?! Nox gives you a angry look. What's your problem? You want to copulate or not? You're giving him mixed signals here!
Swapfell Papyrus - He immediately start to wear the baby clothes, obviously. He doesn't think one second about why there are baby clothes everywhere in the house, he just wants to clown around. Or is he in denial? You'll never know.
Fellswap Gold Sans - .... "WE'RE NOT GETTING A DOG." "But that's not dog clothes?" "IT IS. I SAW THAT OLD LADY WITH A CHIHUAHUA DRESSED LIKE THIS." "Wine, those are baby clothes." "DOES IT MATTER IF THEY ARE BABY OR DOG CLOTHES? WHAT YOU LOOKING FOR? HAVING A BABY?" ..... You stare at him. He stares back. "OH SHIT YOU ARE." Wine starts to turn redder and redder as you realize you're actually serious. What the hell? He was not ready for this! Why are you doing this randomly?!
Fellswap Gold Papyrus - He takes one of the little shirt with shaking hands and then he just bursts in tears. So, right now, Coffee thinks you're pregnant, he kinda didn't get it's just you asking. You're not ready for the disappointing face, then the very determined one as he's ready to drag you to his room right here and right now.

ੈ♡˳ 'home' josh futturman x gn!reader
summary: arriving in the year 2000 brought along a host of new challenges for josh, and intensified the ache for a home he can never have again. but maybe, there's a chance for him to find that feeling again, in you. (1.4k words) tags: set at the end of the series, angsty for josh, kinda silly, from josh's perspective, x reader, cute, first meeting, for the 'timetravel' prompt for josh promptober.
josh knew it wasn't going to be easy, but he foolishly never realised how very hard it would be - to come into a world that wasn't meant for him. or. . . at least, not this version of him.
it's like, loading a save of a game you played years ago and forgot to come back to, trying to navigate a world that's familiar yet so fucking alien at the same time. and there's no free lives this time - he hopes he won't need them anyway.
yeah, everything was fixed. or, well, supposed to be.
but he can't help but feel like he got the short end of the stick. seriously, like what the fuck? no family - no, actually he had a family, just one that wasn't aware of his existence and if they did become aware of his existence he was sure they'd die. or something.
life is difficult, but josh is still grateful. there could be no life to live, after all, if he hadn't sacrificed what he did. he can't complain, shouldn't. but. . .
well, he's lonely. plain and simple. he feels like he doesn't really fit in with the crowd here, his jokes are too far advanced - can you believe it? and he can't bring himself to crawl back to early 2000s humour. fuck no. he might still unironically use XD's but rofling is a step too far.
it's all. . . too much, too different, and he kicks himself for ever complaining. he saved everyone, right? he finally put things right, wasn't he supposed to be happy?
josh guesses, but if this is what happy truly feels like then he doesn't want it.
video game stores were kind of cool though, finding all this retro shit that would go for thousands of dollars on ebay. . . maybe he could become a millionaire that way, hoard it all and then buy a yacht. would be kind of cool. he's lost in thought browsing the playstation two section. . .
when he sees you.
and fuck, he's not sure he's ever seen someone so. . . so. . . pretty? handsome? no, that's not the right word. beautiful. that's it. you're beautiful. and he's- shit. he's staring, you've caught him staring. fuck, he's a creep.
but to his surprise, you smile, turning back to the screen in front of you. you're posted up at one of those display boxes, testing a game. looked like resident evil - code veronica? but he couldn't be sure. he'd never tell anyone this but he got too freaked out during the first zombie cutscene in the classic that he never completed it, or any of the sequels.
augh, that smile though. he's sure he's blushing, he must be. it stirs up a feeling he hasn't had in a while, though he's not sure he can place what that feeling truly is.
your concentration is admirable, the focus in your gaze undeniable, it's like your lost in that world. . . maybe lost isn't the right word, you're not lost, not like he is.
josh is too chicken shit to do anything about the feelings you stir up within him, but what else is new? he sighs and exits the store empty handed, there's plenty of time to hoard retro games. . . or, josh supposes they're not retro right now. future retro games? is that a thing? man, his head is fucked.
when he returns a few days later, it definitely isn't in the hopes of seeing you again. he just. . . likes to browse. the same games. over and over. the stock isn't new. but he likes it that way, the familiarity and- yeah, he's bullshitting. he definitely came here to see you.
and there you are, posted up at the display box once more, hands firmly on the controller, resident evil on the screen.
his palms are sweaty, and his knees are most definitely weak. but he steels himself, he has to say something, right? like, this isn't normal. you've been on his mind constantly and he'll kick himself if he doesn't at least like. . . say hi or something.
hi is fine, hi is enough. he'll be proud if he can say hi.
"hey."
good start. you look up at him and smile.
"nice to meet me."
FUCK.
"i mean, no - shit, i mean nice to meet you. uh. fuck, sorry." josh fumbles over his words, cheeks immediately blazing a deep pink. this was why he'd vowed to keep to himself in this world, cause he can't help but fuck things up no matter where he goes or what he tries. it's inevitable, he just can't get shit right.
to his surprise, you laugh, a soft laugh, not a 'haha you fucked up you're so stupid laugh' that josh is so accustomed to. no, it's a sweet laugh. one that has his stomach doing flips.
"nice to meet me too," you grin, pausing the game as your eyes meet his, properly this time.
he can't help but smile in return, a big smile that takes over his whole face. he looks kinda goofy, but he can't help it. josh glances to the game, "saw you playing this the other day - uh, not that i was watching. or like, stalking, or anything. . . i mean, i just - i was here the other day and you were here and you were playing this and i noticed and now i'm back today and you're here and so am i-"
your eyes widen as he rambles on and on, seemingly not able to stop, until you speak up, "yeah, it comes out in a few months and i'm a big fan of the games and i know the dude who runs the store, lets me kick around most of the day."
josh is thankful for your intervention, he'd probably still be rambling if you hadn't. "yeah? it's a pretty scary game to wanna play so much." he smirks, though he knows he's probably just exposed that he's a bit of a pussy when it comes to horror.
you shrug, looking back to the screen, "i dunno, there's something kinda. . . comforting about it, y'know? i can get kind of lost in it, and claire's just as clueless as me when it comes to figuring out what the fuck to do."
his eyes widen a little, watching as your eyes scan the screen. this was your escape, coming back to the familiarity of it all. he can sympathise with that. maybe you're not too different after all, and maybe he's not as alone as he thought he was. here he is, a stranger to this time, and someone who's born here is having as much trouble as he is navigating the world.
"never. . . saw it like that before i guess," josh hums, looking to the screen with you, "is it stupid of me to ask if you like games, then?"
you laugh once more, looking back to him and his crooked smile, "maybe a little stupid, yeah, i like games."
he stuffs his hands in his pockets, feeling his awkward laugh spill out, was he really gonna do this?
"would you. . . i dunno, maybe wanna hang out at the arcade or something some time?" josh tilts his head. god, you were so cool. he'd be content with just getting to know a little more about you. it would be nice, he thinks, to finally have a friend again.
and. . . you're staring. shit, did he mess up? he shouldn't have asked. it's weird. you don't even know each others names for christ's sake.
but if he could peer into your mind, he'd see that you're actually shocked that someone noticed you. you've been coming to this store for years, idling away, in your own world. and this guy noticed you, like really noticed you.
"i'd love to," you admit, softening your smile further, "it's a date."
his eyes widen, you agreed. you actually agreed. holy shit! yes! this was awesome! a date? holy fuck!
"a date." he agrees, cheeks hurting from smiling so much.
and josh begins to wonder if somehow he can finally begin to have a place in the world again, a world that wasn't meant for him. even in his own timeline he felt lost, nevermind a timeline that was never meant to house him.
he hasn't felt 'at home' in a long time, not since that day. he's homesick, almost all the time. all he wants is to belong.
something about your smile feels like home. the warmth of it, void of any judgement.
maybe home doesn't have to be a place. maybe, he thinks, home can be a person, too.

AHHH your kimchay post about kim pretending to be poor made me crack up so much!! <3
but can I just make a tiny tiny suggestion: how funny would it be if chay actually knew kim was pretending from the time in the restaurant?
at first chay's mad that kim is "tricking" him so he decides to keep pretending to see how long kim is going to keep the charade up. and kim just... keeps... pretending and like his horrible empty apartment confuses chay so much (maybe cuz he spots kim in a mall one day dressed in like designer clothes, stepping out of his fancy lamborghini so why does kim own an apartment in that horrid neighbourhood?) and in the process of pretending chay realises that kim is nothing like all the rich people he hates and he kind of ends up falling for his stupidly handsome face but like... how... is chay... going to break the news to kim that he's known all along that he's rich???!?
(so kimchay get locked in a mutual deception where neither of them realise the other knows the truth and can't tell each other because they've just gone on too long now. XD)
Original post
I'm glad you liked it anon! 🥰💛 i love the idea of Kim just constantly digging himself deeper unknowingly 😭😭😭
But I want Chay to be oblivious during the dinner but what if when they leave the restaurant Kim's like hey two secs the waiter needed to talk to me i'll be right back and Chay nods and then after a couples minutes decides he needs the bathroom so he goes and then when he comes out of the bathroom he over hears Kim and the waiter talking and the waiter is like 'of course Khun Theerapanyakul' and like bows and stuff and Chay's like (in his head) 'Theerapanyakul??? 🤨 isn't that that super rich family???'
anyway he doesn't say anything right away and they end the date and its all cute and nice and Kim had been perfectly sweet this whole time and hasn't acted like any of the other rich assholes Chay had known so he lets it slide and he's willing to just cut Kim off after the date and ghost him.
So he goes a few days (weeks?) not replying to anything Kim sends him and Kim sends messages like 'I know youre probably working lots, make sure your eating well, miss you ❤️'
and then just as Chay came to terms with not seeing Kim again cause he did really enjoy being with Kim, he sees Kim at one of the high end shopping centers, luxury sports car, decked in high fashion clothing brands and expensive jewelry, Chay even sees that Kim has body guards??? Chay is glad he dogged that bullet he's sure Kim would've eventually turned into a rich asshole and it was just a trick.
But then Chay follows Kim for a little (at a distance. something that's plausible cause it is a giant shopping center) he watches Kim eat at one of the fancy cafes, he's polite to the servers, he even stacks the plates and stuff before leaving. (Chay thinks back to one of their dates where he took Kim to a fast food place and remembers how Kim seemed hesitant to eat it and ordered a small portion, at the time he thought it was cause Kim was broke but now he thinks its cause Kim probably hated the cheap fast food but he still ate it, for Chay.)
Someone accidentally walks into Kim at one point and Chay expects him to get mad and yell like every other rich asshole would, but he doesn't. The day continues like that. He sees Kim buy some make up and one of the shop keepers accidentally spills something on him and once again Chay expects Kim to get annoyed and berate them, but he doesn't.
Chay decides to finally respond to Kim. He watches Kim's face light up as he pulls his phone out and reads Chay's message, and now Chay feels bad about ghosting Kim so he gives an excuse about being sick or something and Kim texts back he'll come over and nurse Chay to health.
(Chay rushes home cause kim wouldnt take no for an answer and then when Kim does arrive in completely different clothes than what he was wearing at the shop and with no jewelry in sight Kim aslo gives Chay a gift that Chay had seen Kim spend about an hour going through the shop deliberating on buying, chay didnt know how much it cost but it was probably expensive but not something he would think was expensive if he hadn't seen the shop kim brought it from. He thinks Kim is even more adorable.)
And then Chay just never figures out how to tell Kim he knows Kim isn't poor. But every time he sees Kim act like it he has to hold in his laughter. The derelict apartment? The clear second hand clothes? Chay thinks how hard kim is trying to keep up this act is both endearing but also kinda frustrating. He regrets going on that rant about hating rich people cause he knows Kim probably feels like if he admits who he is or Chay will hate him, but also the longer Kim keeps it a secret the deeper a hole he thinks he's digging.
Chay knows he's gonna have to be the one to admit he knows but what if Kim gets mad Chay let him struggle to pretend to be poor?
Chay does set up little 'traps' for Kim to expose he's rich but also Kim is kinda oblivious and doesn't realise that what he just did outs him as rich so the game continues for way longer than it should
#idk maybe there is one more date in between the dinner and chay ghosting him where he decides to see how far kim is willing to go to hold up#his lie#but then he just doesnt let anything chay do shake the lie so chay decides to ghost him then as kim clearly is willing to build#their entire relationship on a lie which chay doesnt want but also chay doesnt want to confront him about it so ghosting i easier#if u wanna keep talking anon please feel free :) <3#kimchay#mine#kim theerapanyakul#porchay kittisawasd#ask#hope this is okay? :)

For the WIP game, laugh??
Well, you just gave me an excuse to post a very belated...
WiP Wednesday
...so, thank you, @thehumantrampoline! ;D
[If anyone else wants to send words for the WiP game, please do! And if you want to try specifying a fandom, you can do so. If it's a fandom I've been in, odds are I have a WiP for it. XD]
Set about 6-12 months after Li Lianhua visits Tianji Hall to impart a little Yangzhouman-healing to Fang Duobing...
[Earlier snippets of this fic in no particular order.]
Li Lianhua put the latest of Xiaobao's letters into the box with the rest and tucked it away. Most of his letters were much the same: effusive thanks, admonishments to take care of himself, threats against Wuyan's imaginary thieving impulses, offers of hospitality… and now this.
Li Lianhua lifted the box that had come with this latest letter. He'd ignored Xiaobao's offer of gifts and assistance, because such things hadn't been necessary. They had their garden, they had his doctoring skills, and Lao Di had numerous accounts that no one in Jinyuanmeng was even aware of, much less would notice if they were utilized. They didn't want for anything… at least not anything money could buy.
It seemed, however, that Xiaobao was determined to send gifts, regardless of their need or lack thereof. Li Lianhua slowly opened the box, then sucked in a breath.
The hairpin was delicate silver in the shape of a branch, with little fans of needle-like leaves sprouting from the forked end. It was delicately made, but had a comforting heft to it, sturdy enough to take some rough handling. It wasn't the quite the lotus theme he had been thus far drawn to in the hair ornaments he'd worn in this new life, but it was close kin. Li Lianhua rans his fingers over it, a smile twitching onto his lips in spite of himself.
It was beautiful.
It also wasn't an entirely appropriate gift for a child to give an adult. The craftsmanship was masterful, the detailing exquisite; it must have cost a small fortune. And if Li Lianhua wished to spend that kind of money on his hair ornaments, then he would have done. He didn't need a child picking out his accessories.
…then again, the money was already spent. So what was the harm?
Later on, as he was making dinner, gentle fingers ran themselves along the new hairpin, where it was threaded through his hair, before drifting down his neck in a gentle caress. Li Lianhua shivered as those hands were replaced by lips and a hint of teeth. Just as Li Lianhua was about to put down his knife and forget about dinner for a while, those hands and those lips disappeared, replaced by a low grumble of a voice.
"The hairpin is new."
A pause.
"Fang Duobing?"
Li Lianhua returned to chopping up the vegetables for dinner. "How did you know?"
"He might have mentioned it one or two letters ago. Sent a drawing. Asked if I thought you'd like it."
Li Lianhua snorted out a brief laugh. "Did he, now. And you neglected to warn me about this, why?"
Those hands returned, this time wrapping around his middle, A-Fei's body pressed all along his back. There was still enough of a chill in the air from the last vestiges of winter that Li Lianhua appreciated the heat that came with the cuddling, but it was going to be far more difficult to cook with A-Fei hanging off of him like an octopus. "That isn't an answer, Lao Di."
A-Fei buried his smile into the crook of Li Lianhua's neck, along with a few scattered kisses. When he eventually lifted his head, Li Lianhua's own head was spinning just a little, and he'd almost forgotten his own question by the time Lao Di answered it.
"I wanted it to be a surprise."
Li Lianhua took a moment to regather his widely scattered thoughts before responding. "…why?"
Lao Di stepped back, taking all that lovely warmth with him, as he slowly slid the hair ornament out of his own hair and began to strip off his outer layers. Li Lianhua found himself shivering again… and not altogether from the cold. By the time A-Fei had reached the bed and stretched out on it, he was completely, gloriously nude. He crooked a finger in Li Lianhua's direction, and for just a moment, Li Lianhua had no idea how he was supposed to respond to all of that on display in his bed.
Then A-Fei smiled. "Don't you want the rest of your present?"
…maybe he could get used to surprises.

ATTEMPT 3 AT A SHORT REQ, TAKE TWO.
Ranboo, Acting AU, Word; ‘Authentic’ (I’m really setting you up for the title ‘Authentic Acting’, huh? XD)
Filming for (disney-channel-but-better) original, “When Our Stars Collide” (The Superhero/Supervillain-Coming of age series, with two protagonists who go from: friends-to-lovers-to-enemies-to-friends, all in seven seasons!) is a lot of fun! That is, until your Co-star is having an off-day, and can’t for the life of themself throw a good fake-punch. 17 (5 minute) takes, 3 (unhelpful) breaks, an entire set of exhausted (and pissed off) film crew, and an overly dramatic, tired Y/N, had Ranboo willing to do almost anything to just finish the stupid scene, so they could all go home. (And he could buy his best friend Boba to apologise..)
So, is it really all that surprising, that Ranboo reluctantly agreed to ACTUALLY punch Y/N, per her request? Or that he accidentally punched WAY to hard? Or that she refused to break character, despite the throbbing black eye that she could feel forming?
No. No, it wasn’t.
This long ass mother fucking shit is probably the shortest request I’ve ever sent you..
But its still absurdly long. And It still took an hour. And I still finished it at 1AM.
-✨🌌🌙 NOT Anon
omg I can’t believe my eyes it’s a short request from you?! Not being able to call this “Authentic Acting” is killing me by the way…
Pairing: Cc!Ranboo x Gn!Reader
Acting AU - Authentic
“Maybe you should’ve taken those fighting classes.”
Ranboo’s head whips around to pin you with a betrayed look, his hands still curled into fists from the last take. There’s fake blood smeared over his costume, and you grin back at him, knowing your costume looks the same.
You do really love working on the set of “When Stars Collide.” Not only was working in a superhero movie your dream role, but having Ranboo as your costar was great. He was a hell of an actor, and an even better person.
Typically, filming the fight scenes was a shared favorite. You got to look badass, and pretend to actually be badass! What else could you possibly want?
But today… today just wasn’t Ranboo’s day. He’s thrown fake punches at you hundreds of times by now, but today he just seems to be struggling. Either his elbow placement is wrong, or it isn’t positioned correctly, or there isn’t enough force.
“Maybe we should take five?” One of the assistants suggests, checking their watch. It’s been over an hour (and over 17 takes) of doing this; no doubt everyone else is just as tired.
Except this would be the fourth break you guys have taken. And things are already on a tight schedule as is, any more breaks would have the crew falling behind.
“No, no I’ve got it this time, I swear.” Ranboo says, shaking his hands out. You can read the anxiety in the move easily.
“Just punch me.” You suggest, shifting you feet back into position.
“What do you think I’ve been trying to do—“
“For real, I mean.” You interrupt. “Just punch me.”
Hesitancy flickers across his face, but he doesn’t immediately shoot the idea down. He’s probably just as tired as you are.
“I can take a punch.” You add, just to help convince him.
“You’re sure?”
“Of course. C’mon, we’ve got this!”
You nod at the camera people, not giving him time to back out. Choice made, no going back.
Both of you get back into character and place, your eyes narrowing into a glare as needed in the script. He scowls back.
“Action!”
“You think you’re hot shit?” Ranboo snarls. “I can take you down with one measly punch!”
“Try it, then!” You throw your arms wide. “You’re a coward at heart, and we both know—“
His fist slams into your face.
Holy shit.
When did he get that strong? When did he learn how to actually punch? You stumble back a few steps, nearly hitting a prop. All you can feel is pain, radiating out from your eye. It’s like you can feel the bruise forming.
Concern flickers in Ranboo’s face, but you don’t give him a chance to break character. It was a perfect punch, ignoring the fact it was authentic.
You attempt a sneer, but know it looks more like a pained grimace. “Fuck you.”
“You said to punch you. Maybe you need to stop underestimating me.” He turns, cape sweeping wide behind him. “Leave me alone.”
“You’ll come back to me!” You shout, staring at him. God, your face fucking hurts.
“Not this time.”
Ranboo exits, leaving you alone on camera. You shake your head, turning away too.
“He’ll come back.” You murmur to yourself, looking down at the ground.
“Cut!”
You press a hand to your face, hissing in pain. Within seconds, Ranboo is there.
“Are you okay? Was that too hard? I think you’re bruising, I’m so sorry—“ He starts saying, hovering worriedly around you.
“‘M fine.” You say. “When did you get such a good punch?”
“I don’t know! Can I help? Should I get ice?”
You move your hand, giving him your best attempt at a grin. “If you get me ice, I’ll marry you right fucking now.”
“Right, ice. And I’ll order you food. And say sorry. A lot. I’m sorry.”
“Don’t—“ Ranboo turns on his heel, leaving to go grab ice, not letting you finish. “—apologize.” You finish, sighing.
Yeah, you’ll definitely have a black eye from this. But hey! At least you got the shot.

the challenge
aight yall i just had my best most brilliant idea perhaps ever while listening to the challenge. i have work to do and cant draw for shit but i desperately need to share my visions lol so here ya go:
instrumental
starts with pen in her quarters, setting the scene with le olive tree bed, the loom, penelope and finally the shroud. i picture pen as to be standing infront of her work, the figures almost looking down at her
as soon as i weave this shroud...
her fingertips glide her work (downwards motion) till she reaches the seams (?) where u can see the ends where she undoes her work
though i never thought... ill be here
moves to window and into balcony. curled fists hit the rail thingy with the beat thingy at "but i dont know how much longer ill last...". her eyes narrow in thought and widen with her realisation.
is it finally time... ill be here
she gives the shores her back and looks into her room again, eyes shifting from the shroud to the closed chest, calculating.
--
buying you time [suitors vocals]
it cuts to the suitors, who are chanting in the background, in the hall. setting the scene again with table(s), a view from the ceiling looking at the layout, wall decor idk lol (didnt do my research for this XD)
anyway pen walks in head held high just barely containing a scowl (killer death glare tho) and ignored bc theyre all dipshits.
--
the genius idea i had btw is when she makes her entrance she is dressed in spartan clothes, possibly even a breastplate idk im working it out, whereas for like the past decade its always been ithacan textiles colours and robes (im going to assume each kingdom had its own unique thing go away let me have this) do u see what im seeing?
oh and also she wears le make up, something she never did in the past 10 years (taking this as a mourning thing where she wouldnt wear anything extravagant like her usual crown and stuff. also to spite the suitors bc fuck them. WAR PAINT). pls imagine cool visuals
i genuinely cant over emphasise how regal but also deadly the looks shes serving are here: suns on her face, her (very) long* salt and pepper hair freely behind her (another visual detail of her letting her hair down contrasting how its been tied for a decade)
--
whoever can string my husbands old bow..
she holds the bow above her head for all to see, and raises her voice above that of the rude suitors and breaks the atmosphere (a war cry if u will hehe), giving them the instructions to the challenge. just overall badassery from my queen u feel me.
let the arrow fly... without the best of you
she now has everyones undivided attention and her voice drops again to merely above a whisper but her words ring in everyones ears. she now holds the bow between her two hands, she looks fierce, overprotective. its like she doesnt want her beloveds bow to be tainted by their unworthy filthy hands, yet another sacrifice she makes. she ends with a snarl
though i never thought.. i would not have it any other way
(internal singing here) nose in the air she leaves the room after the first hour she spent tight lipped watching them fail miserably. its cathartic to her lol shes barely holding back her smile if it werent for her unbridled fury. anywho
--
and though i never thought.. just know ill be here
cuts to pen back in her room reflecting afterwards, the sun has now set and her hands are on the rail again, (parallels to the first but lol) this time theyre clasped together. bc wedding ring and aging hands and scars from weaving. god i wish i could draw hands :')
waiting, waiting, waiting...
she once again gives her back to the ithacas shores and her gaze rests on another tapestry, stepping closer with each iteration of waiting.
...oh
ends with her softly reaching out but not quite touching said tapestry (closes her hands just before, in tortured restraint. bc pain): one she weaved as odysseus built their bed. ✨homophrosyne✨ >:')
(i imagine it to be them when they were younger idk it was her courting gift, so probably olive tree with them (in embrace) under it)
are u crying yet?
#my self restraint is struggling yall i need to draw this out#might edit this with very very vague and rushed storyboarding#or will never bring it up like ever again#so stay tuned lol#penelope of sparta#penelope of ithaca#epic the musical#epic the ithaca saga#the challenge#*just realising that i dont think ive posted my penelope hair hc#in case i havent and for those unfamiliar anyway lol to me pen has very short hair (for shenanigans etc) and only started growing it out#after the fall of troy and ody not showing up (to me diomedes was kind enough to either send a letter to let her know or visit. whichever)#anyway she vows to not cut it till her odysseus returns to her. afterwhich she cuts it all off and burns it as a sacrifice of sorts#one of many she gifts/ gives the gods in gratitude for her husbands return after so so long#:3#inore any typos im in too much pain to proofread

The final meshi
(reading the final chapters for the first time)
(Previous post)
Man chapter 95 make me wanna cry
So much father daughter bonding energy here
I love chilchuck so much
I love how everyone just misunderstands the question XD
I also lodt how marcille is fine with her fate and is like "yay besties!" With the elves who are gonna imprison her, lol
Man these pages are gonna make me cry i love them so so so much.
I like how marcille learns that she can't make everyone's lifespans longer just like that so she learned what she had been doing this whole story because of senshi and the others 😭
KAHSBSHAJSAYA 😭😭😭
Chapter 95 is probably my favorite of these final chapters, it gives us a final impression of all the main cast and what's changed about them.
That last pannel makes me go ajsgskaahaba
This reminds me of that one pannel of chilchuck i keep seeing
Even at the end of the manga, kui brings uo interesting things to think about in her world, such as what does chimera meat contain? Would some ingredients be toxic to other races?
Marcille blushing so much at eating her girlfriend XD
Also i heard so much about chilchuck doing marcille's hair and i thought that maybe it would be a few pages long. I really wanted a bonding between them especially since they've been at eachother's thoats the entire series, but alas, its one page and i was slightly dissapointed. I was hoping we at least got one pannel where we see chilchuck doing her hair
(Dadchuck :D)
Dang im gonna cry again :(
Ive never been so sad to see one of these end notes
Ahh!! this chapter page looks so nice !!
Also dadchuck vibes (im so sorry i keep mentioning it, but i just cannot stop seeing it)
XD i love the "*please don't acctually do this"
Dang...
Also that first pannel on that second page looks so good
Oooh the first page is so cool
And the second page is so cute!! 💖
This is hilarious XD: falin's nice greeting, shuro's blush, namari's awkwardness, chilchuck's disgust and marcille's pure, hatered filled deadpan.
(Also like how its just characters from laios' first party)
Sigh... like brother, like sister
This pannel is a wonderous piece of art
ahh dungeon food... delicious in dungeon
BRO
I CANT BELIEVE ITS IVER
I DONT WANT IT TO BE
I love this series so much, its probably one of my favorites and im so sad to see it go. Totally buying the adventurer's guide once i can buy it (i want to have something physical from this series) so there may be anther post or two of these but that will be after probably a long while
Final thoughts:
But i love kui's detail in her world and characters, there is so much depth and questions in every corner to develop further. The story was syper engaging and i loved every step of the way. I was told that this series was goofy but then goes super serious for the rest, but it actually did an amazing job at switching between comedy and seriousness quickly but im a way that seems completely natural. (I also adore the art style)
She also did an amazing job at making me interested in ALL of the characters. Usually in series they introduce so many characters all of a sudden and dont develop them that well at all, but still expect me to be invested in them, so the series remains just have a ton of scenes of these new characters interacting but are so shallow that i skim super quickly over them, and then i fall out of love with the entire series as a whole and have to drop it because im getting bored, but kuo manages to keep me invested with every character introduced, so im invested in them almost as much as the main cast and love them all (also the character designs are all super creative. You probably saw those posts where people say you cant play the "find the main cast game" with dunmeshi because of how great the designs are.
Man this is such a good series
#a meshi a day keeps the dungeon away#i do a little ramble#dungeon meshi#dunmeshi#delicious in dungeon#dm chilchuck#dm izutsumi#dm marcille#dm laios#dm senshi#dm thistle#dm falin#dm namari#dm kabru#dm yaad#i do a little react

╰※╮▫◕‖ Previous ‖ ∴❃∴ ‖ AO3 ‖ ∴❃∴ ‖ Next ‖ ◕▫╰※╮
Summary: Shiro, in the last moments of dying, was sent back to the past to rewrite events that will change for the better. Once he started to change one thing, a lot of other things also went into a butterfly effect. Will he be able to prevent a disastrous future this time around?
A/n: It's...been seven months. SEVEN since I've uploaded this thing. And so, to maybe gift ya'll for the end of 2024...I present to you the second chapter xD And yeah, okay, I should be more active (hopefully) besides doing the MHA and Miraculous stuff. If I get more comments, likes and asks for this story, then I might consider continuing. Anyways, on with the chapter~!
Chapter Warning: Mentions of war, violence, blood and major character death(s) mentioned. It is also a Fix-It sort of fic about also an AU crossover that's different from canon events.
Chapter Two: The Return of Voltron (Part 2)
“Alright…I’ll come clean. Let’s…sit down somewhere so I can explain everything.”
Before Shiro could explain anymore, the last pod opened to reveal an older man ginger hair and moustache, having the same pointy ears and eye markings as Allura, except his marks were more on the teal side. He looked around for a moment, until he gasped and stuttered out, going from shock to rage.
“E-Enemy Combatants!”
The man lunged to the closest person to him, which happened to be Keith, who grabbed the man’s wrist twisting it behind his back before sending the man to his knees. Allura growled, almost going over to pull Keith off of the man before Shiro stepped up.
“Keith! Don’t hurt Coran!”
Keith blinked while the man, Coran, gasped.
“H-How did you know my name?” Coran choked out, while Keith released him, and the man soon turned to Allura, “Princess?! Who are these people!? How long have we—?”
“More and more, I’m curious on how much you know about all this, Shiro…” Ben murmured with arms folded, making Shiro give a small apologetic smile.
“I will explain. Seriously, I promise.”
Coran huffed, "Quiznak! You're lucky I have a case of the old Sleep Chamber Knees. Otherwise, I'd grab your head like this, wrap you up like so and—One, two, three—"
He then grinned evilly after a few hand gestures while he spoke, snapping his fingers then winking.
"—Sleepy time!"
Keith wasn’t impressed, thus looking back at Shiro all the while ignoring Coran.
“Can you please start talking before I kill this old man?”
Conan let out a dramatic gasp and started yelling at him indignantly, which both Keith and Shiro ignored.
“For starters, you said it’s been ten thousand years…” Allura pointed out, but she blinked in confusion when Shiro raised a hand as if stopping her in her tracks.
“Let’s go somewhere we can all sit down first. It’s going to be a lot to take in and I need you guys seated…”
Shiro, surprisingly, led them all in what seems to be a Lounge room and everyone was seated on what seems to be a couch circle. Keith even gave a side eyed look towards his brother figure at how Shiro knew his way around the Castle well enough, but Shiro kept quiet for now.
Once everyone was comfortable, Shiro looked to Allura first.
“Planet Altea and all of the planets in your solar system have been destroyed. Your father sacrificed himself to buy time when he placed you and Coran in the sleeping chambers, then scattering the Lions,” Shiro closed his eyes and then breathed out a sigh, “I…know this because I’ve had visions about this.”
Everyone gasped at this. Except for Ben and Keith, both were looking at each other warily. Shiro continued to explain, leaving out a few details here and there and once he was done, Ben was leaning back against his seat, then closed his eyes.
“So…all in all, you are supposed to defeat Zarkon and the Galra in two or so years time, and had vision after vision of how to save the lives that perished and wished to change the future, am I getting it so far?”
Shiro nodded, “Actually, Zarkon is gonna be here in Arus in a year—er, I suppose it would be deca-phoeb?”
“…Considering you are using terminology that Earthlings are not using, then what your saying checks out,” Allura said slowly, her arms folded and back straightened, “So…Zarkon is still alive…”
“Yes. He’s still looking for Voltron after all this time, and we need to find the other lions before he does,” Shiro said as he then glanced at Keith, “We found Blue earlier than expected, and Keith happens to be her Paladin. And I know where all the other lions are.”
“You do?” Allura questioned with suspicion, and Shiro tapped the side of his head, “Right. Your…visions.”
Shiro had a feeling even Allura wouldn’t believing his lies. In fairness, they weren’t lies, per se. He was just bending the truths slightly. If he told everyone that he actually came from the future where he died but some weird guy threw him back in time, it would’ve been too crazy. Not that it wasn’t crazy now, but he didn’t want to overwhelm everyone with what he knew.
“Remember, Takashi Shirogane. Once you make ONE change, everything else will be different than what you remember…”
That was another thing to consider.
Shiro didn’t know if the future he experienced already will ever happen in this reality now. After all, Shiro didn’t go to Kerberos this time around. Meaning, Shiro’s going to have to adapt and be quick on his feet for any changes. For example, Lance wasn’t exactly how Shiro had remembered him. Quite different than the Lance he knew. Not to mention, Hunk and Pidge weren’t here either. Speaking of…
“We need Green and Yellow’s Paladins. Allura, perhaps you can sense who would be piloting them in this room?”
Allura raised brow, “I can…but there is a problem.”
Shiro wasn’t liking the sound of that. “What is it?”
“Every one of these people have a mix of being a Paladin for all the Lions,” Allura pointed to the strangers that came from the pods and even the ones that came with Shiro, “So it is sort of confusing to pinpoint a true Paladin for the Lions…because it’s not one person. Their auras are mixed colours…”
Hiro hummed, “Meaning to say, I could probably this Paladin you speak of and…fly a Lion? Is that right?”
Shiro looked thoughtful about this. Is that why Blue willing let Keith fly her instead of Lance?
“Still in the dark of all this,” Artemis raised her hands to gesture everything, “Voltron? Paladins? Zarkon? Galra? These things don’t make sense to some of us, and frankly? I don’t care. I just want a way for me and Wonder Girl to get back home.”
Shiro frowned, “The thing is, I don’t even know how to get you guys…home. Wherever your home is.”
“I could talk to someone about that?” Ben spoke up this time, leaning back and folding his arms, “I know someone that is a Time and Dimension expert, not to mention I’ve had my own experience going into different realities. So finding where you are from should be easy~”
Some of them looked hopeful about this, except for one person…
“Gambit is not sure he wants to go back home.”
Wonder Girl looked surprised at this, “W-what? Why not? What about your life back home? Or the people that you care about? Don’t you wanna see them again? Or that they’ll be sad you’re not there? Family? Friends? Someone you love?”
The Cajun snorted.
“The woman I love happened to have a thing for an older man that was considered my enemy once, and I don’t have much family to speak of…by blood. But I am sure the X-men aren’t going to miss me much either. Maybe Jubilee and Logan…”
He paused for a moment, but then shook his head.
“Point is, last thing I remember is being blasted by Super Sentinel and if I do go back…does this mean I’ll be dead yet again?”
Hiro looked thoughtful at Gambit’s words.
“That’s something to consider. What if I to get back there and suddenly I am burnt to a crisp from the explosion that happened before I entered this reality? Scientifically, if we are thrown back to our worlds, does time pass or do we go back into the time we were taken from? I don’t wanna experience dying as soon as I’m back home. There’s no telling…”
Ben frowned. “Well I don’t think that will happen?”
“How can you guarantee that? Do you have proof and swear we will not be sent back with a sudden death flag over our heads? Because hearing from Gambit’s story and knowing mine, the track record of going back home alive and well doesn’t sound plausible.” Hiro argued and Ben was stumped on what to say next, “Looking at your face, you’re not too sure yourself…”
With Ben quiet, Hiro had a chance to turn to Shiro this time and ask his questions.
“And, how does your visions work? Can you look into the future willingly or is it random? How long have you had this ability? Is it a genetic mutation like Gambit’s? Because I will not believe in magic crap. Is there any chance to make changes on what you see in your future? Like is it subjective?”
Shiro…wasn’t sure how to answer, and he could tell from Hiro’s expectant stare that this young man wasn’t going to let this go too easily.
“W-well…”
Ben saw how uncomfortable the other looked and sighed, looking to Allura and spoke in a friendly tone, “I can't believe your civilization created such advanced technology ten thousand years ago. It must have been an incredible place~”
Shiro felt his heart leap at Ben changing the subject and smiled softly, although Ben didn’t look his way and focused more on the Altean Princess.
Allura sadly looked down, her lips pursed, "Yes, it was...but now it is gone…a-and we're the last Alteans alive."
Lance softened for a moment, almost wanting to say some words of comfort but then blinked as he heard squeaking noises. He looked around inquisitively, wondering what was making those sounds. Curious, he followed the sounds and looked into one of the pods, the pod that Princess Allura came out of. There, he saw four different coloured mice and smiled softly.
“Awww, where did you little ones come from?”
Lance held his hands out as the four little critters sniffed his hands, before climbing up and suddenly rushing to his shoulders and sat there, the very small blue one nuzzling into his cheek affectionately.
Allura looked up, her ears twitching at the sounds and looked at Lance, gasping when seeing the mice and her smile soften, "Looks like we're not the last, after all."
Shiro stared incredulously at the sight of Lance having the Space Mice cozying up to him, and it surprised him. It’s like the mice are comfortable with Lance already even though they have just met today…
“So, about these Lions?” Hiro interrupted as he looked to Allura, “How do we go about looking for them?”
“Wait, we’re actually going to? I still want a way to get home, please?” Artemis argued before she looked too Ben, “You! You said you had a friend that knew how to get us home? Then let’s go.”
Ben nodded, looking to his watch on his wrist and pressed on it, “I’ll call Professor Paradox right away.”
Shiro sighed, knowing that not everyone wants to be here. Although he did feel a hand on his shoulder and turned to surprisingly see Gambit grinning at him.
“Don’t be frownin’, mon ami~! Gambit is ready to help.”
“…Just like that?”
Gambit shrugged, “It’s not like I will be welcomed back. And I do think that I’m meant to be here. So, I shall make this world my new home.”
Shiro wanted to ask, but decided not to push it.
“I shall also help you, Friend Shiro.” Starfire flew next to him, softening with a smile, “Because you have told us your story, it is only right we fight this battle together and save the universes…save our homes.”
Shiro was wondering why she was quiet through all this, but he was glad he had her support. It seemed he also had Keith’s, who was looking at him with a nod and a determined look, the same went for Lance. At least he could count on those two.
Ben suddenly spoke up, “Artemis, Wondergirl—“
“Y-You can call me Cassie, or Cass, but Cassie is fine. It’s better that way,” The blonde heroine chirped sheepishly, as Ben smiled, although Hiro made a face for some reason.
“Cassie. You and your friend here can go home now. Paradox is gonna open a portal for us as soon as I scan your signatures and open up to your universe,” He explained, and Artemis looked relieved, “I’ll be travelling with you just to make sure you guys get to the right world and safely arrive home.”
“Thanks…” Artemis smiled a little and Shiro looked at them with a strange look.
“Ben…”
Ben looked back at Shiro and smiled, “I’ll come back soon. Promise.”
With that, the Omnitrix wielder used his watch to scan the two, and waited. A voice robotically chirped from his watch, stating that universe was detected, and suddenly a bright looking portal opened for them.
Ben looked to Hiro, tilting his head, “You want me to get you home too?”
Hiro shook his head, “I’m with Gambit on this one. I…something is telling me to stay…”
The brunet nodded, “Alright, if you change your mind…?”
“I’ll let you know.”
Ben smiled, then turned to lead the two blonde ladies to the portal and said portal vanished as soon as they stepped through. Shiro was still staring at the space they were just at, before Allura coughed and clapped her hands together.
“Alright, well, since that’s that…let us find the Lions as quickly as possible. By the time they get here, we will have reformed Voltron, and together, we will destroy Zarkon's empire!”
The Princess then lead everyone to the Castle Bridge, where the room had a huge crystal hanging above the middle, and Allura was stepping up to a podium and placed her hands on top of it.
"King Alfor connected the Lions to Allura's life force. She alone is the key to the Lions' whereabouts." Shiro explained before Coran could open his mouth, and the Black Paladin smiled apologetic to him, “Sorry, Coran.”
“You speak the truth,” Allura smiled as she felt a light surround her, and a blast of light filled the room.
Everyone asides from Shiro was in awe, seeing how there were stars and planets around them…it was almost like a planetarium of sorts. Terra reached out to touch some of the stars, almost bumping into Lance as she walked backwards to take everything in. The two looked at each other for a moment, then laughed and apologised to one another, awkwardly smiling. Keith looked at the two of them, and narrowed his eyes for a moment before Allura spoke up again.
"As you have found, the Lions choose their pilots. It is a mystical bond and cannot be forced. The Quintessence of the pilot is mirrored in his Lion. Together, they form something greater than science can explain."
Keith blinked, “…Like how Blue chose me?”
Allura gave a kind smile, “Indeed. The Blue Lion nurtures potential, and helps her Paladin realise their true worth. The Paladin must improvise, following their heart more than anyone and is a bit of a free-spirit. Keith, this is why you are the Blue Paladin to pilot this particular Lion.”
Keith placed his hand over his heart, as his face flush for a moment before looking away, “True worth…?”
Shiro smiled at this. He had always wondered what was Blue’s purpose. But in his first life, Lance interrupted before they could ever find out. At least he knows now, and it made sense for Lance too. If only I got to know him better before, but now I’ve been give a second chance, I can do so properly.
Hiro tilted his head, “Hold on, you said everyone had a potential to fly any Lion. Why is Keith special to be with that specific Lion?”
Allure chuckled, “It’s not for me to decide, but I have a feeling Blue will be especially bonded with Keith since he was the first to find her. Or in the case of what Shiro told us, she allowed him because she trusts him.”
Keith couldn’t help but smile at this, bashfully rubbing the side of his neck as Shiro smiled in pride.
“Hang on,” Terra pointed out, looking to the hologram of the Black Lion, “According to this, it seems this Lion is next to Blue?”
A chuckle escaped the Princess, "Very observant. That's because the Black Lion is in the Castle."
"To keep the Black Lion out of Zarkon's hands, King Alfor locked it in the Castle. It can only be freed if the other four Lions are present." Coran explained.
“Oh…” Terra hummed and Allura nodded.
“To answer Hiro’s question, there seems to be some exceptions, considering the auras you all have. The Lions seems to think you all have the potential to pilot any of them.”
Allura tilted her head as she looked at Shiro and surprisingly Lance for a moment, then moved the hologram of Black towards them.
“The Black Lion is the decisive head of Voltron. It will take a pilot who is a born leader and in control at all times, someone whose men will follow without hesitation. That is why, Shiro, Black has chosen you…but somehow sees potential in Lance as well,“
Lance squeaked as he pointed at himself, “M-Me?”
“But I’m afraid you are not completely ready yet. But in due time, you will be.”
Shiro saw a glint in Allura’s eyes, and he could’ve sworn there was a fond look on her face. He raised a brow, but shook his head once Allura was focused once more and pointing to the Green Lion now. Maybe it was my imagination.
"The Green Lion has an inquisitive personality and needs a pilot of intellect and daring,” She moved the hologram of Green towards Hiro, who stared in surprise, “Young Hiro, you will pilot the Green Lion.”
Hiro’s eyes sparkled at this moment as he soon reached out to wave a hand over Green and chuckled, “Cool.”
Allura looked amused before switching to face the hologram of Yellow.
"The Yellow Lion is caring and kind. It’s pilot is one who puts the needs of others above their own. Their heart must be mighty.”
Terra blinked when the hologram of Yellow flew towards her, squeaking and shivered when it circled around her, almost as if it wanted to nuzzle her. Allura chuckled, tilting her head with a smile.
“As the leg of Voltron, you will lift the team up and hold them together."
“…T-This must be some mistake,” Terra breathed out as she shook her head, waving her hands in front of her, “That doesn’t sound like me at all.”
“Couldn’t agree more,” Keith murmured bitterly and Lance looked over at him with a frown.
“…What’s wrong with you?” He whispered to the other, concern and confusion in his eyes, “Why are you so mean to her?”
“…You wouldn’t get it.”
Allura looked to Terra with understanding eyes, “You are humble. I can also tell that you felt like you’ve made mistakes in your life. But Yellow is a good balance for you to rise above your past and look into the future.”
Terra still didn’t look sure.
Shiro walked over and patted her shoulder.
“I believe in you, even if you don’t believe in yourself now. If the Yellow Lion thinks you are worthy, then you are. Just give it some time…”
The blonde girl brushed some hair behind her ear, smiling a little, “…Thanks.”
"The Red Lion is temperamental and the most difficult to master. It's faster and more agile than the others, but also more unstable. Its pilot needs to be someone who relies more on instincts than skill alone—hm?” She paused for a moment, before she tilted her head, “…Oh dear…”
“What’s wrong?” Shiro looked alarmed for a moment, wondering why Allura suddenly looked at the Hologram of Red in her hands and staring with a frown, “What is it?”
“………..The Red Lion is flying here.”
Everyone looked surprised.
Allura snapped her head toward Lance, her eyes wide, “…Oh!”
“W-what? Why are you looking at me like that again?” Lance squeaked as he was patting himself and looking down to see if there was something on him before Allura laughed.
“Lance, it seems the Red Lion felt your presence and is now flying towards Arus right now.”
It was then a second later, The Castleship alarms started blaring loudly, the room now filled in red lights. The holographic map around them changed as suddenly a hologram of a Galran warship appears before them.
Coran gasped in horror, “A Galra battleship has set its tracker to us!"
"How did they find us?!" Allura questioned in shock, before Shiro gulped.
‘They aren’t supposed to be able to find us until a year later. But it’s possible if Red wasn’t captured yet…oh no…’
“It’s Red…because she’s moving, they must’ve sensed she was on the go and now is following her!” He looked to Coran, “Coran! How long before they arrive?”
The ginger haired man hummed while counting his fingers, "At their speed? Oh, well, uh, carry the two... I'd say probably a couple of days?"
“Then we must find Yellow and Green, now.” Allura hurriedly said before looking at everyone, “Keith, you take Terra to get the Yellow Lion.”
Keith groaned but nodded begrudgingly, while Terra looked nervous.
Allura continued.
“Shiro, you must go with Hiro and collect the Green Lion. Coran will ready a pod and load in the coordinates so that the two of you can reach her in time. Lance, you will stay here until Red arrives so you can pilot her. In the meantime, I'll get this Castle's defenses ready. They'll be sorely needed.”
“Gambit can assist you if you allow it, Ma princesse~” Gambit saddled up next to her with a grin, and Allura looked flustered as she brush a strand of hair behind her pointed ear.
Soon, everyone was getting ready and heading into their stations, Lance watching them and bidding them good luck. Lance and Keith shared a look for a moment, the Cuban giving a small smile as a sign of asking the other to be careful, and Keith gave a look back in respect before making his way to Blue, Terra following behind him.
Once they were in their respective rides, Coran spoke to them through the comms.
"We can only keep the Wormholes that lead to the other Lions open for two of your Earth hours, so you'll have to be quick about your work. The good news is that according to my readings, both planets are relatively peaceful. SoOoo……….if you do get stuck, they could be relaxing places to live out the rest of your lives. Enjoy the trip~~!”
Shiro shook his head in amusement as Hiro looked panicked, and both Keith and Terra were yelling through their side of the comms. Before anymore arguments could be made, the wormholes opened before them, sparkling blue and bright and soon both the pod and the Blue Lion vanished through them in a snap.
Lance watched them through the screens in the Castle of Lions, before looking to Coran, “…You’re just messing with them, aren’t you?”
Coran just gave a cheeky smile before whistling and walking away to work on the Castle.
Arriving into the greenery like planet, Shiro made sure Hiro was okay. He even patted the boy’s back once he got him out and helped him get his footing. Soon, the two started walking and exploring the densely-forested green planet, Hiro using an Altean compass in his hand to find the Lion. It took half an hour, but the two stopped as they reached what seemed to be a riverbank, and Hiro pointed towards a canoe with a lion carved as its bowsprit.
“Looks like we gotta ride it…” Hiro trailed off as he noticed Shiro looking behind him with a smile as if amused, which made Hiro raise a brow, “Shiro?”
The young man turned around, then yelped when suddenly a sloth-like alien appears beside them, causing Hiro to jump into the Black Paladin’s arms and Shiro easily catching him.
“It’s okay. It’s going to guide us to the Green Lion,” Shiro assured Hiro, and was proven right when the alien walked over to the canoe, getting on and holding an oar to row with, then making a ‘come here’ gesture with it’s paws.
“…?”
Shiro saw the look of suspicion on the boy’s face, chuckling, “Unless you rather we just follow Coran’s warning and live in this planet for the rest of our lives~”
“Nope! No no no no, let’s go!”
And with that, the two were peacefully riding the canoe, looking around in awe as the sloth-like alien paddles them towards where the Green Lion was. Hiro was fascinated with the nature around him, then looked towards the sounds of squeaks from the inhabitants of the forest, even seeing how some little creatures were staring at them.
As they were heading under a bridge like cavern, which held the symbol of a Lion like the cave back on Earth, Hiro decided to lean back into his seat and feeling himself relax.
“I wonder if Keith and Terra are having a good time as us…?”
“UGH! STOP FLYING LIKE A MADMAN!”
“DO YOU WANT TO GET SHOT? BE MY GUEST!”
Keith and Terra were not having a good time. If anything, Keith was doing his best to fly faster with Blue spinning mid-flight while being chased by Galra fighter jets and coming under heavy fire. Both of them screamed for dear life, mostly Terra, among the blaring alarms. After a minute, one of the Galra fighter jets hit the Blue Lion with missiles, knocking them out of the sky shakily.
"I thought Coran said these planets were peaceful!" Terra screamed out while holding at the headrest of Keith’s pilot chair, as said pilot was trying to pull Blue back up in the air.
"Maybe peaceful means something else in Altean!” Keith argued, managing to get the Blue Lion from crashing and flies towards a Galra mine, where they were also being shot at.
Keith had to pull out the holo-screen before him and spoke hurriedly, "According to the coordinates, we're right on top of the Yellow Lion. It's below there, where they're mining for the ore. So, Terra, be ready to drop.”
Terra balked at him, "Me? Down there? No. Nonono—!”
Keith growled, “Oh yes you will! I'll cover you!"
He pivoted the Blue Lion, diving down to the surface and rushed fast toward the mine under laser fire. As he was readying the hatch to be open so Terra could jump out, the blonde herself was feeling herself sweat.
‘He knows about my powers, and while I have them under control now…’
Flashes of a young Keith’s face morphed into betrayal and shock came into her mind, but she soon shooed the thoughts away and spoke up shakily.
“N-No! What if the Yellow Lion doesn't work? Wh-What if I—What if I can't get in the mine? What if—?! “
“You are getting that Lion or I swear to Quiznack, I’ll freakin’ punch you.”
“I don’t think you’re using that word right!?!?”
Keith rolled his eyes, raising a fingerless gloved hand on the dashboard and clicked some buttons, smirking as he heard Terra scream when the hatch opened below her, dropping her down from the Blue Lion. Immediately, Terra’s eyes glowed yellow as she used her powers of Earth to make a giant slide, rolling her down to the ground safely and landing herself inside of the cave. Keith flew himself high, the fighter jets still chasing after him.
Terra groaned as she got up, rushing towards what seems to be a mine lift and right to where the control box was. She opened the lid and pulled some wires, hot-wiring them to start as she murmured under her breath as if cursing a storm on Keith.
“Stupid Keith. Dropping me off in a freakin’ ass alien planet. That's cool, dude, we meet each other again after a few years and I get kidnapped into space, going to a life threatening planet occupied by grizzled purple aliens that want to kill us, but whatever. Just ignore them and go connect with a big, yellow, mechanical cat. Easy-peasy. Yeah. That all makes a ton of sense to me."
Getting the lift to work, she felt herself being moved down to the mines further, narrowing her eyes as she took a deep breath. She was about to close her eyes when she suddenly felt a warm sensation hit her. Looking around the walls of the cave, she saw glowing yellow markings appear before her, just like the ones on Earth.
“…Guess she’s close.”
The lift suddenly stopped at the very bottom of the cave, ending her journey as she jumped out and looked around. She groaned when she felt the earth shake, and almost had a panic attack before calming down. This isn’t me. I didn’t cause that shake. Focus. Look around for Yellow and we can get out of here…
A glow caught her attention as she then spotted a carving of the Yellow Lion beginning to brighten in a magical light, causing the carvings around her to glow even more and show a path towards where the mechanical cat was located. Terra frowned as she saw a massive glowing circle appears in front of her.
“…”
Terra smirked, already feeling her own eyes glow as she raised her hands up, the rocks around here shaking and floating in the air.
‘Too easy. I’m coming Yellow~’
Meanwhile, Keith looked up at the screen, targeting his sights on the jets above him then narrowing his eyes. He lets the giant metal feline make a running jump before going high in the skies again, struggling a bit while he flies Blue into the sky to draw the attacks. He can’t let the jets shoot at the cave no matter what. Blue even takes one of the jets into her maw and smashes it into pieces before two more came at their six.
Keith then spotted those jets flying towards the cave Terra was in and his eyes widen.
“No…NO!”
A young Keith stood outside of the building that was on fire, his eyes wide as he spotted a young Terra crawling out of the fire escape, covered in soot.
“Terra?”
Terra’s eyes were full of tears, as she coughed and looked…so scared.
“I’m sorry…I’m so so sorry!”
“Terra…w-where’s my Dad? Is he still in there?”
However, she looked spooked and started to flee. Keith making a move to chase after her, but the building suddenly exploded and Keith’s violet eyes turned back to see that it was collapsing in on itself with the flames. He felt his whole world crash around him, falling on his knees and screamed out.
“DAAAAAD!!!”
Keith snapped out of his memories, hearing the explosions as the cave was shot at, the boulders soon covering the entrance and collapsing in on itself.
“NO NO NO—TERRA!!”
Shiro raised a brow as he watched Hiro going a mile a minute in his rant for a while now, looking up at the alien sloth looking back at him with a confused look. Shiro had to shrug with a small awkward smile. Even he didn’t know why Hiro was a nervous wreck right about now.
“—I know the Princess said that this is supposed to be my Lion, but what if she's wrong? I mean, she's probably not wrong. She's a princess, and royalty is never wrong, right? But I'm not a pilot, even though I’ve played games and simulations with my brother, Tadashi. Who you kind of remind me of, by the way, really! It’s uncanny! Anyway, I read all the fighter manuals, but never got to fly a real one, how could I? I’m only fourteen! I don’t think I even hit puberty yet! What if I get in there and The Lion doesn't respond? What if I get in there and it's too big and my feet don't touch the pedals? WHAT IF THERE AREN’T EVEN PEDALS?!"
‘How…is he so like Pidge yet not really?’ Shiro smiled a little as he watched the boy, almost being reminded of a smaller Keith as well.
“Hiro, Hiro….breathe.”
Hiro stopped his rambling as he then calmed own, looking down at his knees before Shiro spoke up again.
“Listen…I know this is a lot. A-and I feel that you are pressured into something bigger than you are used to,” He paused for a moment, before softening, “Patience yields focus. It’s something I always live by. And I know that while you’ll have a shaky start, I know that you can do great things. Amazing things. I believe in you, Hiro. You were meant for something even more and meant to help people. Save them.”
Hiro groaned, as he placed his hands over his eyes, “You even sound like him…”
“Your brother, Tadashi?”
Hiro nodded, “He…is a huge nerd. And…he was trying to get me into his nerd school and I totally did…”
Shiro softened, as he hummed, “Until you were brought here.”
“As much as I want to go back…I know my kind hearted and brave brother would’ve stayed and help as many people as he can. It’s always his thing. Helping people,” He spoke softly, Hiro soon pulling out what seems to be a photo of him and an older boy, “It’s why he made Baymax, a medical robot, because he wants to save lives so that way…children don’t end up orphans like we did…”
Shiro didn’t know what to say to that, but before he could say anything anymore, he and Hiro noticed they have arrived at their destination. The canoe stops at the edge of the riverbed, and the two humans stared at a root-covered stone temple with bewilderment. They approach the steps; the lion carvings glowing in Hiro’s presence and leading them up to some stairs. Hiro paused for a moment, looking back at Shiro, who smiled.
“Don’t give up on yourself, Hiro. Be amazing.“
“I’m not giving up on you!”
Hiro blinked as he thought he saw Tadashi instead of Shiro, but smiled back before turning to rush up the steps of the temple. As he reached the summit, Hiro was confused as he saw nothing is found at the top. He almost lost hope, but then looked down at the vines below him, hearing a growl and green light glows beneath him. Smirking, he jumps inside of the temple and a burst of light came out from the temple. A whooping sound was heard from Hiro, and with a shake and a roar, the Green Lion finally broke free from her tomb.
Shiro stared as the wind blew around him, closing his eyes and let out an exhale. You did good, Hiro. Your brother will be so proud of you, wherever he is…
Back with Keith and the Blue Lion, they were stillfighting the Galra jets on the planetoid, dodging the attacks while also trying to take each one down. Keith cursed under his breath as he was hit, looking at the screens before tapping onto his dashboard.
“C’mon Terra…”
Keith let out a yell when he felt a hit, looking at the screen once more to see that one of the fighter jets made the hit on the Blue Lion with a blast onto it’s hind leg, sending them spiralling out of the sky and down into the canyons. Another blast hit once, twice, and soon Keith saw red lights warning around him as they spun out of control.
“Shit! Fuck! Going down! We're going down!"
Blue crash landed down onto the desert ground, Keith urging the lion to stand but it seems she was struggling. He snapped his gaze up to see the jets locked on and fire their missiles at them, speeding fast. Keith felt hope die slowly, and closed his eyes as he braced for impact. However, he heard a loud roar and looked up to see the Yellow Lion appearing before them from under the ground, blocking the incoming missiles. The larger mechanical lion flattening the figher jets with its own body, one even stuck under it’s jaw.
“Keith! Come in, Keith! You okay?”
“Terra!”
Keith felt his heart slowed in relief, closing his eyes for a moment before he smirked a little, “Darn. I thought you wouldn’t have survived~”
Terra rolled her eyes as her screen popped up in front of him, narrowing her eyes, “Can it, Kogane. Just so you know, a little rockslide and cave in isn’t going to keep this girl down!”
“Anyways, should I say thanks that you saved my ass? Even though I could’ve taken them on myself,” Keith said with a raised brow and slight cocky grin, making the blonde scoff.
“Please. You would’ve been alien chow if I didn’t come in and save your sorry butt. Thankfully, what this thing lacks in speed, it more than makes up for in armour. Man, can it take a beating!” Terra then looked back up as she saw more jets coming at them, narrowing her eyes, "We've got incoming!"
Suddenly, both their screens lit up as Allura’s face popped in, frowning.
"Paladins, please hurry back! I can't hold the Wormhole much longer!"
The two Paladins raised a brow to each other through their screens, nodding then soon were flying off, seeing the wormhole Allura mentioned. The two managed to evade the shots from the jets as they went through the wormhole, the portal closing behind the lions as they managed to escape.
Arriving in the Castle, both Keith and Terra entered the Bridge of the Castle of Lions, where everyone was apparently waiting for them. Shiro turned to face the duo, a congratulation on finding the Yellow Lion was already on the tip of his tongue, although his facial expression turned into one of confusion as he saw that Keith and Terra also weren’t alone.
The same way as how Shiro and Hiro didn’t come with just the Green Lion.
Shiro waited until Hiro landed the Green Lion so that they could get out of here, smiling in pride. He saw the giant cat like machine land, bowing down until it’s jaws graced the ground and opened it’s mouth. Hiro stepped out of it, looking a little frazzled rather than excited as Shiro expected.
“What’s wrong?”
Hiro looked like he swallowed a lemon with his eyes darting around for a moment, before landing on Shiro and whispered in a choked voice, “…There’s a body inside.”
Alarmed, Shiro rushed past Hiro to check it out, walking into the pilot helm before blinking when he saw there was indeed a body laying unconscious at the side off the pilot’s chair. The person was a pale looking young man with blond hair in what seems to be Galra prisoner’s uniform. Shiro rushed over, checking the man’s pulse and sighed in relief as he seems to be alive.
The Black Paladin felt Hiro appear next to him, and Shiro looked up at him, “It looks like Green came with a surprise of her own. Question is…who is this young man?”
Suddenly, the blond haired man’s eyes opened and scrambled away from both of them before clutching to the dashboard, bluish green eyes wide with fear.
Shiro raised his hands up, showing he doesn’t mean any harm, “Sorry! Er, we mean you no harm. Can you…understand us?”
The young man slowly nodded.
Shiro hummed, “Can you….speak English?”
The blond looked troubled for a second, before he then lifted a hand up and tapped over his covered neck, his eyes saddening.
“…It looks like he cannot speak.” Hiro pointed out, then sighed at seeing Shiro’s bewildered expression, “Well, at least he doesn’t seem to be deaf. So he’s probably selectively mute.”
Shiro frowned, staring at the pitiful looking strange. “What’s your name?”
The stranger soon started to sign, and Hiro immediately spoke.
“He says his name is Jericho.”
Back in reality, Shiro looked to Jericho, who had a change of clothes thanks to Coran finding some extra Altean garbs for men to wear. He stood in the corner of the room, looking around warily at the people while Hiro was silently signing to him what was going on, considering Hiro was apparently sufficient in sign language.
“So…who is this you brought with you?”
The stranger with Keith and Terra was a young woman that wore a snarl on her face and…she looks human, like Jericho. She had long black hair, although there were some faded coloured highlights in her bangs, and it almost covered her eyes if she did not just push them back. Her dark jaded greyish eyes looked around warily, almost as if expecting someone to come at her as if she was some wild animal…and might fight back.
Terra spoke up with a shrug, “I found her as Yellow let me in, and she was unconscious at the time. But when Keith and I escaped from the planet we were on, she woke up and almost attacked me.”
“Where am I?” The woman spoke this time, as she stepped up and narrowed her eyes, raising a fist as suddenly two silver knuckle claws appeared and raised it to show them, “I want answers now before I start to really lose it.”
“…Them claws look like Wolverine’s,” Gambit pointed out quietly, which made the girl snap her attention towards him, who raised his hands up, “A-attendez! Facile là-bas, mon cher—“
“How do you know that name?” The woman sneered before Gambit was quick to lifting up what seems to be a playing card between his index and middle finger, the Queen of Hearts suddenly glowing, “You’re—?”
“Wait. Where’s Lance?” Keith spoke up as he looked around, not seeing the Cuban male in sight.
“There's a bit of good news and bad news,” Coran interrupted as he looked sheepish, “The good news is, Lance decided to fly ahead in one of our pods and meet Red halfway. He has just gotten her and is returning to us right now. The bad news is, it seems that a Galra fleet almost caught him and gave chase. But wait, good news again! He miraculously dodged all of them at top speed and managed to escape!”
Keith and Shiro both looked surprised.
“Why, if I didn’t know any better, he flew even better than King Alfor in his prime~”
Allura nodded in agreement. “Indeed. Lance was a spectacle to watch. I’ve managed to record it through the the pod he used!”
She pressed something in the air as a screen popped up in front of them, and it showed the Red Lion zooming around while skilfully flying away from the lasers from the Galra ship. Shiro was blown away at the sight, almost feeling his heart swell in satisfaction and amazement at how Lance almost flew like the Lance he knew. He glanced at Keith, and had to smile smugly at the way Keiths eyes sparkled and mouth slightly parted. To Shiro, Keith looked like he was absolutely speechless at Lance flying like a pro.
Once the clip was over after Lance had flown into the Wormhole and the pod tied and following behind the Red Lion, Allura clasped her hands together with a squeal of hope and delight.
“With this, we can hope that Voltron will be formed easily and as soon as possible so that we can fight Zarkon and the Galra, ending the many centuries of tyranny and free the universe!”
“Let’s not celebrate just yet,” Shiro warned softly as he raised a hand up, “There are still some other things to worry about—”
“Er, hey guys?”
Lance’s voiced around the Castle, alerting everyone as they looked at a holoscreen popping up and showing Lance…who wasn’t alone. Standing next to Lance, was a girl his age with strawberry blonde hair, amethyst blue eyes and wearing normal street clothes.
“I, ah…sorta have a stow-away inside Red. And check it, she’s from Earth!”
“So even Lance has a stranger inside of the Lion. Also from our planet,” Hiro frowned as he looked at Shiro, “And this wasn’t part of your visions?”
Shiro shook his head. ‘Why do the Lions already have people inside them? And not Alteans, but Earthlings. What exactly is going on?’
“We’re here.”
Ben, Artemis and Cassie stepped out from the portal while looking around…although it was not what any of them expected.
“Where…?”
The North Magnetic Pole. They were supposed to be surrounded in ice. It shouldlook ike the very same place that the speedster trio were to stop the chrysalis and…and…
“Why does it look like a desert now?”
Artemis turned to Ben, who shrugged and was just as confused while Cassie just stood there. The land was now barren, the sky red and fire was falling from the dark skies. The place almost looked like Hell.
“I thought you are taking us home?!”
“I am. And I did,” Ben looked down at his watch and tapped on it, “The coordinates from my Omnitrix locked on to this universe. So I’m not sure why—”
“It is because this world already perished, Benjamin.”
Ben blinked as he looked to the side, “P-Professor Paradox?”
There stood an old man with fair skin, grey eyes, and black hair dressed in a lab coat, leaning against his cane and smiling tiredly. Ben walked over to greet the man like an old friend, while both Artemis and Cassie side eyed each other with wary looks.
“What brings you here?”
Paradox’s eyes saddened now, sighing while pinching the bridge of his nose, “You should not have brought Miss Crock and Miss Sandsmark back here, Benjamin.”
“You know them?”
“You know us?” Both Artemis and Cassie asked, and the Professor nodded.
“I’m afraid so. The being that pulled these two out from this universe had someone after them. And so, in retaliation and anger, that other being destroyed this world and everyone in it…leaving this Earth a wasteland with no life left…”
“Who are the beings?” Ben asked as Artemis fell on her knees, Cassie rushing to check on her as they both seemed in shock (Artemis being the most), “What could’ve caused all this? Someone like Eon? Maltruant?”
“I believe it is far worse,” Professor Paradox said solemnly, watching how Cassie was now hugging a crying Artemis, “And for the pettiest of reasons too. Think…think of the beings inside Alien X, for example…”
“Serena and Bellicus?” Ben questioned before gasping, “So was it a Celestialsapien?!”
“Somewhat. They are beings that are very different from them, but the same premise. They look more human…or at least, they used to be humans before science once again decided to play Gods.”
Ben frowned, and the Time Traveller rested his other hand onto his cane now, leaning over it with a slightly worried look.
“So…does this mean those beings are still on the loose?” Ben asked.
“Indeed. And they might be destroying other realities in their chase as we speak.”
Ben had his hands on his hips and sighed, “So this is a dead end, huh…? But what if I could go back in time—?”
This caught Artemis’ attention.
Proffesor Paradox shook his head, “Time has been tampered with so many times in this world, Ben. I’m afraid that it’s impossible and might make this world collapse in on itself. Or worse, it will alert other Time Lords that might try and stop you from meddling and try to erase you permanently. So I suggest you take the girls back to the world you came from and—“
“Wait!” Artemis stood up shakily as she rushed towards Professor Paradox, who calmly let himself be pulled by his lab coat as the blonde archer shook him, “W-what if Ben took us to a reality like this one? Considering that he’s able to travel worlds and you talked about time travel? Maybe if we found—?”
“I’m going to stop you right there, Miss Crock,” Paradox gently took her hands into his and looked at her in sympathy, “I understand that you are in mourning. Confused and feeling like you’ve lost everything. But I’m afraid that we cannot let you go into a similar Earth like this one…”
“Why not?!” The archer argued, “You said that someone threw me and Cassie in that world. Why can’t we just find a world that might be like home?”
“It’s just not that simple, I’m afraid. You see, The Universes have certain balances to maintain, and not every world is going to be welcoming to random anomalies transmigrating into their territory. For example, if we suddenly threw you and Miss Sandsmark in a world that is similar to yours; with the same environment and same people…and it just so happens that there are already versions of you two existing in that world, it would create…”
Paradox gestured himself with a chuckle of irony.
“Okay fine,” Artemis looked like she didn’t want to give up on this issue, “What about if we find a world like ours that doesn’t have me or Cassie in it?”
“You could…but that universe will find a way to fix itself in it’s right state. Think of a reality like the human body,” The time traveler started to explain, “If there was an unknown virus that suddenly entered it’s system, the antibodies will try to get rid of that particular entity entirely. Meaning to say, the people in that world will just see you as something abnormal. That you shouldn’t even be there.”
Artemis dropped her hold on the Professor as the man looked at her once more in pity.
“I do not want you to experience seeing who you think are your loved ones, deluding that you can go back to the way things are and continue your relationships with them. Only for them to be looking at you like you are monsters. Not knowing why in their inner souls that they hate you, and wish to kill you. Believe me, I’ve seen too many people that die in their original world, get sent into another and suddenly that world will do everything and anything to get rid of that said soul and cease to exist…”
“So…Isekai?” Ben pointed out while Paradox made an exasperated sound.
“I swear, Benjamin, I do not always get your modern lingo sometimes…but yes.”
“So…there’s no way I could see my M-Mom again? O-Or Diana and Donna? O-Or Tim, or my Team…” Cassie whispered finally as it started to sink in, tears welling in her eyes, “Everyone we know…gone.”
“And I am indeed sorry for your loss,” Paradox said as he placed a hand over his heart, “Truly. I would never wish this sort of thing on anyone.”
“What if we find the asshole that pulled me and Cassie out of our world in the first place?” Artemis hissed angrily now, her eyes hardened in determination as if she has a plan, “What if they can fix this?”
“Easier said than done, Miss Crock. However, it is hard to find that being—oh!”
“Prof?” Ben questioned as the time traveller suddenly stilled, “What’cha see?”
“The being that pulled these girls from their world is apparently in the world you came from, Benjamin. And he’s with your group at the Castle of Lions right now.”
“Then we should head back so I can kick his ass and get him to fix this!” Artemis stomped to Ben and punched Ben’s arm, ignoring the yelp of pain from him, “Let’s get going, right now!”
“Okay, okay! Don’t hit me again!” Ben was tapping onto his watch frantically, wincing when Artemis was raising her fist again, “Seriously! Have some patience, woman!”
“Oh, no need to do that, Benjamin! I can do that for you all~”
With a click of his fingers and a tap of his cane on the ground, a portal appeared below them which caused all of them to fall in, the portal closing behind them.
A portal appeared out of nowhere, and honestly, Shiro thought that he was going to face more trouble as he looked to everyone in the room, “Be ready!”
He almost had to raise an arm up but remembered he didn’t have his metal arm anymore and felt embarrassed. Meanwhile, Keith pulled out his dagger from his belt while Terra’s eyes began to glow, fists at the ready. The rest of the room either panicked or followed Shiro’s lead in preparing a fight…until they saw Ben, Artemis and Cassie falling out of the portal with screams and fell on the floor with thuds.
Professor Paradox calmly stepped out with a smile, giving a salute, “Hello all~”
Shiro raised a brow, but Ben was the first to get up and waved his hands in front of him.
“It’s okay! He’s a friend!” He assured them, giving a sheepish grin.
“What are you doing back? I thought you brought Artemis and Cassie back home?” Shiro questioned slowly, and Ben sighed, “Something happened?”
“Long story,” Ben noticed the new faces and gasped, “Oh! But there is something important we need to figure out. Apparently there is someone in here that’s the culprit who brought all those people from different worlds here in ours!”
Shiro whirled around for a moment to look at everyone for a moment, then back at Ben, “Really? Who?”
“Will find out right now. Starting with you—“ Artemis was quick to grab the closest person to her, who happened to be Gambit, “Did you bring all of us here?!”
“Êtes-vous fou? Gambit doesn’t have that power!” The Cajun huffed with narrowed eyes, pushing the archer away, “How dare you insult Gambit like this?!”
“Stow it, both of you!” Shiro stepped up between them and looked to Artemis with a glare, “Let’s not jump at anyone’s throat and start blaming the wrong people!”
The sliding doors behind them opened as Lance stepped in with a girl hiding behind him, and the Cuban male looked confused. Before he could question anything, however, Artemis was quick to turn and grab the girl behind him, pulling that person towards her.
“What about this one?! Who is she? And why is she here?!”
“Hey! Take it easy! You’re scaring here!” Lance came in the strange girl’s defense against the angry Artemis, pulling the girl back to him protectively, “Wendy doesn’t have any idea how she came here! She’s an Earthling, like us!”
“Ha! She tell ya that?” Artemis sneered as Lance stood tall as if ready if she threw a punch, but she soon turned her attention to Jericho, “What about him? Or that scary looking goth girl next to him?”
“My name’s Laura, you crazy psycho,” The woman that came with Keith and Terra growled, already bringing out her claws, “And step towards me, and I’ll rip your pretty blonde hair out, Barbie—“
"Guys, stop!” Shiro interrupted with a yell, silencing everyone.
He looked to Allura, who looked sort of at a loss. He remembered the moment where he asked her what they should do now, and she felt herself doubting on her leadership. Smiling a little, he walked over to her, placing a hand on her shoulder and getting her attention.
“Maybe we can talk to your Dad?”
Allura looked both confused and somewhat angry at the mention of her dead father, “What? What do you mean?”
Coran seemed to understand, his facial features softening, “Shiro is correct. Perhaps your father can help.”
Soon, everyone was walking somewhere deep in the Castle but they remained outside the hallway as Coran, Allura and Shiro walked into a dark looking room. Shiro remembered this place being a Memory Chamber, the place Allura goes to before the Castle was destroyed in his old timeline.
"Coran, what is this?" Allura asked as the older man stood behind her and she walked further in towards a console.
"King Alfor knew there was a chance he might never see you again. So, his memories, his very being, were stored in this computer for you."
Allura soon stepped in front of the controls, seeing a floating orb there. She reached out slowly, and a burst of light changes the dark Chamber to a vision of Altea, a mountainous area with a field full of Juniberry flowers…reminding Shiro of Lance’s field of Juniberry flowers in his farm, dedicating it all to Allura.
A holographic image of a tall, older Altean man with brown skin, white hair, and a white full beard appears from the console, standing regal and strong. Although in Shiro’s eyes, he could see the tired wisdom behind them, and he understood very clearly.
"Father! Father, it is so good to see you."
King Alfor smiled warmly down at Allura, "Allura, my only child, how I've missed your face."
Shiro took this moment to step out, leaving the two to reconnect after ten thousand years. Once he was out in the hallways once more, he saw Ben walking towards him while everyone else was talking among themselves.
“So…?”
Shiro pursed his lips as Ben stared up at him, letting out a tired breath, “So…”
“I feel like you’re not telling the entire truth, and I know you won’t be able to anytime soon,” Ben rubbed the side of his neck and hummed, “But I trust you. You know that, right?”
Shiro smiled softly, “I do. And…I do appreciate that you trust me—”
“But,” The brunet held his finger up, narrowing his eyes, “If I sense that the danger is bigger than any of us, I’m going to use all of my power to prevent anymore lives being taken. Got me? That also means if there’s something big that’s going to be happening, you have to let me know.”
“Okay, got you,” Shiro nodded, wanting to reach out to Ben once more but then blinked when Keith appeared between them, “Keith?”
“So, er, we got the four lions. Shouldn’t we be able to get yours?” Keith questioned.
Ben gasped and clicked his fingers, “Oh yeah! Professor Paradox said that there was someone here that is the very person that brought Hiro, Gambit, Artemis, Cassie, Jericho, Wendy and Laura from their worlds. Apparently, if Jericho, Wendy and Laura came from the Lions we found…there might be a person inside Black. So we should check on Black right now,”
“Right. I know where Black is.”
Shiro led everyone to the giant doors where the Black Lion was, and even though Shiro knew that the doors were going to open for him anyways, he still felt…nervous. Maybe it was because it has been a long time since he saw Black, even before the Lions returned back to Space in the first timeline. In a way, he felt guilty and not worthy of being in Black’s presence right now. Or anytime in this life time.
He then felt Ben’s hand graze against his and looked to the side, seeing the brunet giving a reassuring smile.
This filled Shiro with confidence once more.
Closing his eyes, he let the other four lions stand behind him, their eyes lighting up one by one. The door also gave out a florescent blue glow, the V on the door shining brightly. Once the doors opened up, Shiro smiled as he saw Black lighting up in all her glory. Tears welled up in his eyes as she roared, her pride roaring back in welcome.
“It’s good to see you again, girl…” Shiro breathed out as he approached, almost choking up in a sob as he touched her giant paw, “I…I’m so sorry. I will never part from you ever again…”
‘My Paladin. Together again.’
Shiro felt her spirit in his heart, smiling as he soon watched her crouch down and open her mouth for him to enter. He quickly rushed into the pilot’s helm, then skidded to a halt when someone was already there standing expectantly, as if waiting for him.
“…Caspian?”
A chuckle escaped the young man, arms folded and titled his head, “Hello, Shiro. About time…”
“So you’re the asshole that stole me and Cassie from our world and caused it’s destruction!”
Caspian sighed as he easily dodged Artemis’s hits, even blocking with his hand as she was grabbing her bow and trying to swing at him. Shiro and Ben had to hold the blonde back as she kicked and screamed profanities at him, which Caspian ignored while looking at everyone in the room.
“First of all, I am truly sorry that I did pull you from your homes and in turn, it did cause some worlds to be destroyed because of someone I know chasing after me,” Caspian explained, placing a hand over his heart and bowed his head, “But please know, that I only chose a few to save from the worlds for a greater purpose. It is bigger than some of the wars and battles from your worlds,”
“I get that…it’s just…” Hiro folded his arms and stared at Caspian up and down, scoffing, “From what that time travelling science teacher told us, you’re supposed to be an equivalent of a God or something? You just look like some college kid…?”
Caspian looked at Professor Paradox standing to the side, who was smiling knowingly.
“Comparing me to a God, hm? That’s a new one to me…”
“It’s the closest thing to describe you, Young Caspian. Unless you wish to be a Pantheon, instead?”
Caspian winced at the word, then shook his head, “Please, don’t. I didn’t choose to have this…ability.”
“So who’s the person chasing after you? Another God?” Terra asked, hands on her hips, “And you said that this other being destroys the worlds you visit, is that right?”
“Yes. I believe she’s…pissed that I got in the way of her plans.”
“And what are her plans, exactly?” Lance was the one asking this time, and Caspian was rubbing his temple.
“Me and this person…we go way back. In our world, we used to be ordinary teenagers. Well, my upbringing was complicated. But Maddie—”
“Maddie? Is that the name of the other being?” Hiro questioned warily, raising a brow, “For a Pantheon, her name is…too ordinary.”
“Maddie Kim. She’s a daughter of a brilliant computer programmer and engineer from Logorhythms, a company studying on a theory of placing a person forever on the internet,” Caspian hummed as he closed his eyes, “Maddie was as brilliant as her Dad, but…after finding out what that company did to her father, who died from a terminal illness and had his consciousness uploaded—
“Consciousness uploaded?” Hiro was quick to put the pieces together as he gasped, “Does this mean your world has cracked the theory of UIs?”
Caspian paled, “Does your world…?”
“Er, not that far into it yet. I’ve heard rumours of Oscorp trying, but it never got into the experimental phase. Scientists chalked it up to just another fantasy like Frankenstein. Although I only know that Tony Stark made an AI named Ultron once…didn’t end too well.” Hiro shrugged but then breathed out, “So it’s possible to upload humans into things like Cloud—“
“But it shouldn’t be. Things got way out of hand and…well, it caused humanity to collapse in on itself,” Caspian was rubbing the side of his neck, “And I’m afraid to say, that a part of me was the cause of this—“
“Damn right!” Artemis growled as she pushed Shiro and Ben away, stomping towards him, “Who gives you the right to pull innocent people from their lives and—“
“But it was necessary!” Caspian interrupted while standing tall in front of her, “Because I’m trying to fix up the balance that was broken the first time because of Maddie’s selfishness. And the choices she made after…”
Everyone was quiet at that moment, and Shiro gulped for a moment. So this is why he sent me back at this time.
“So, wait, if you’re trying to fix her mess…why were you inside the Black Lion?” Hiro asked as he looked back at the larger Lion resting, “Are all our worlds destroyed completely once you took us out?”
“I was…sort of resting,” Caspian replied with a sheepish look, “Going around universes sorta makes a guy tired.”
“Indeed. Which is why I must take my leave,” Professor Paradox interrupted before making a portal next to him and making his way to step inside.
“W-wait! What if we wanna check on our worlds? Can you take us and we can come back?” Hiro asked.
Caspian raised a brow, then looked towards the time traveller, “Did you nottell them?”
“I’ve already told Benjamin, Miss Crock and Miss Sandsmark. You can have the privilege to explain it to the rest~” Professor Paradox smiled as he gave a wave, and soon left as the portal vanished along with him.
Cassie then looked at Hiro, “I thought you didn’t want to go back home?”
“Not when I’m told that there is a maniac God that might’ve destroyed my home,” Hiro argued angrily now, as Caspian came in between them.
“Actually, your world is fine, Hiro. But you just can’t go back home yet,”
“Why not?”
Caspian pursed his lips, “Maddie will notice you’ve returned in your world and will try to kill you.”
“She doesn’t know me. Why would she want to kill me, I have nothing to do with her?” Hiro questioned as he narrowed his eyes.
“But you’re involved with me now. And she will sense my signature energy on you guys and try to make sure you are disposed off in case you side with me,” Caspian rubbed his temple once more, feeling a migraine coming on, “Which, again, I had no choice considering that most of you are the only options I’m stuck with…”
“So? She hates you, not us. Unless she’s that petty…?” Hiro saw Caspian’s wry smile and then rolled his eyes upwards, “For fuck’s sake. I’m sorry I asked now.”
“Listen. My goal is simple. If you guys help fix this world, there’s a chance I can take you guys back to where you belong. And things will be as it should…”
“But my world was destroyed! Me and Cassie just came back from it and that Professor guy said that there is no way we can go back!” Artemis pointed out, as Caspian sighed.
“Right now, my abilities diminished a bit since I was using most of it to bring you all here. But if we manage to save this universe, I can get a bit of my powers back slowly and restore your realities in a way that everyone will be happy.”
“So, beat the bad guys in this Universe, and we get to go home?” Cassie asked as Caspian nodded.
“That’s the gist of it. As if all this never happened,”
Shiro froze before he stepped forward, “Wait, does this mean that me changing the course of the future—?”
“What I mean is, this world will move forward without anymore interference once Zarkon and the Galra are defeated. Meaning this world will move on in it’s cycle and be at peace. Then everyone that helped will go back to their worlds none the wiser.”
So many questions were racing in Shiro’s head, but he sighed before folding his arms and nodded, “…Okay.”
“Okay?” Artemis growled as she stared up at him, “That’s it?”
“I think we should give Friend Caspian a chance and fight the evil Zarkon and his army,” Starfire chirped as she also came to her side, smiling, “It is no different from your own world, yes? Saving it and the innocent people that live in it?“
Artemis brushed her off, and started walking away to clear her head.
“…Give her some time. It’s a lot to take in,” Caspian breathed out in sympathy before looking to Ben, who remained quiet the whole time, “Did you not want to ask me anything?”
“Nah, this sort of thing is another Tuesday for me,” Ben shrugged as he gave an understanding smile, “Saving universes is just daily for me. So this isn’t a big deal…I mean, I know it’s a big deal to some…”
Suddenly, the doors slid opened and everyone turned to see Allura stepping in, looking determined. Her hair was tied in a high bun now instead of loose, wearing a white bodysuit with black areas on her midsection and thighs. The suit comes with a tapered blue belt, shoes, and clunky wrist guards. Pink accents are located on the collar, above her ribs, separating the white and black on her thighs, and under her kneepads. She has a pink "V" shape on her chest, just like the symbols around the Castle.
Soon, she spoke up, strong and clear.
"You all were brought here for a reason. The Voltron Lions are meant to be piloted by their chosen Paladins and I am sure those here are also have a great purpose. We must fight and keep fighting until we defeat Zarkon. It is our destiny. Voltron is the universe's only hope. We are the universe's only hope."
“Couldn’t agree more,” Caspian sighed in relief, and smiled when Allura looked at him inquisitively, “Caspian Keyes. Nice to finally meet you, Princess Allura~”
"We're with you, Princess." Shiro said with a smile, and Allura smiled back.
The Princess then led them to what seems to be another chamber room, only it held pods that had different coloured armoured suits inside once the lights came on. Shiro, Keith, Lance, Terra and Hiro stepped forward to look over at them, and Hiro was the one that spoke up.
“Are we supposed to wear these? Like is it mandatory?” Hiro asked warily, before Allura nodded with a chuckle.
“Yes. And don’t worry, the suits will fit to your body type automatically once you place them on.”
"Princess, are you sure about this?” Coran whispered from beside the Altean royal, frowning in concern, “They aren't exactly the best and brightest the universe has to offer."
“I think you should have a bit more faith in them.”
Both Allura and Coran looked over at Caspian, who shrugged.
“Sometimes it’s always the underdogs that rise up to the occasions. They just need a little training and teamwork.”
“Caspian is right,” Allura looked towards the rest of the people and smiled, “While the Paladins fly Voltron, there are many things to do in the Castle, like assisting Coran and also assisting myself when it comes to strategising against the Galra.”
“If it’s assistance you want~ Gambit can happily stand by you, Princess~” The man winked as he took her hand gently and kissed the back of it, giving a suave, charming smile while Allura coughed and looked away blushing.
“You might require someone that is familiar with the solar system now since it has changed through the thousand years you have been asleep. Allow me to also assist in any way,” Starfire stepped up as well with a kind gaze, and Allura appreciated it.
“Ditto here! I mean, I’m pretty much friendly with a lot of planets,” Ben pointed to himself with confidence, “You’ll need the great Ben 10 on your side~”
“I-I’m pretty strong!” Cassie chirped as she showed her muscles, smiling big, “So I can help with carrying things, lifting things…kicking butt. You name it! I swear on Themyscira that I will do my best to help!”
Jericho seemed to sign something as he smiled and saluted, and Hiro spoke up from afar.
“He said he’ll do his best.”
The only one that didn’t want to say anything was Laura, who looked pretty bored.
Wendy, the girl that came with Lance, was rubbing her arm shyly before she opened her mouth, a quiet Australian accent coming out from her, “Er, um…dunno what’s goin’ on but…I’ll…help. Somehow?”
Allura felt touched, looking around the room with misty eyes, “Thank you. All of you.”
“Your father would be so proud, Princess,” Shiro stood next to her, now adorned in his Black Paladin armour, giving a warm fond smile, “We will stop Zarkon. And make sure that Altea will have it’s justice!”
“Hm?” Caspian looked around, quirking a brow before tapping his foot, “Someone is missing…”
“Eh?” Ben looked over at Caspian, “Who are we missing?”
“Artemis should be back by now…” Cassie looked to the door, worried.
“No, not her.”
“Then who?” Ben asked as Caspian blinked slowly.
“Didn’t Charmcaster come with you guys?”
Ben looked surprised at that, before he grinned cheekily.
“Oh yeah, she was here…I have a feeling she’ll be back because—“
“TENNYSON!”
“…I have her magic bag~”
Caspian just watched in amazement and surprise when Charmcaster poofed back into existence in between him and Ben, the sorceress whirling around to the smiling Omnitrix wielder.
“Ben Tennyson! You are the bane of my existence!” The magic user yelled as she started banging her fist onto his chest, and even got angrier when Ben kept on laughing, “Stop laughing! Urgh, give me back my magic bag!”
“Charmcaster.”
The witch froze at the voice and narrowed her eyes dangerously as she slowly turned to Caspian, who just waved calmly.
“…Caspian Keyes.”
“So you do know him,” Ben tilted his head as he looked at Charmcaster, but pouted as he was ignored.
“Yes. It’s been a while.”
“Great. Juuuuuust great. As if I don’t have enough to deal with. First the Tennyson’s, and now you.” Charmcaster threw her arms in the air, then pointed a finger at Caspian’s chest, “Don’t think I didn’t forget how you broke into Ledgerdomain and tried to pick a fight with me!”
“Technically, I was trying to rescue you from someone that actually wantedto fight you,” Caspian explained as he shrugged, “But you also perceived me as an enemy.”
“And with very good reason!” Charmcaster growled, her eyes magically glowing, “Your overpowered reality bending gifts are far too great. Almost a threat level that any sane person should be wary of!”
This caught some people’s attention as Caspian sighed.
“I wish you don’t phrase how I do things as overpowered. When, honestly, I’m not all that powerful.”
“Because you’re a fake.”
Shiro and Ben looked at Charmcaster in confusion.
“Fake?”
Charmcaster scoffed at Shiro sounding dumbfounded, as she folded her arms, “Yeah, fake. Meaning, he’s just a construct of a real person and was given powers that he didn’t deserve to have. Reminds me too much fo Gwendolyn, that brat—”
“Would you please let that go? It’s starting to get old,” Ben drawled before looking at Caspian’s withdrawn expression and patted his back, “Well, you don’t seem fake to me, bud.”
“She’s actually telling the truth,” Caspian smiled wryly, “I’m actually a genetic template of a man named Stephen Holstrom, who died from cancer. He wanted to find a way to live longer, and gathered a few scientists and friends to fund his project. He is the Founder of Logorhythms, the very person working on UIs and succeeded in me. His life’s work of making a body, me, to grow and use when I turned eighteen…”
It was like one could drop a pin the room was that silent after that, and Allura was the first to speak.
“I…that is horrible!”
“That is messed up,” Lance finally spoke as he stared at Caspian, “It reminds me of that one movie about a guy’s girlfriend’s family taking over people’s bodies by brain switching or some hypno-therapy shit!”
“That’s…just a work of fiction,” Caspian said deadpanned, but continued, “What Holstrom worked on was more…complicated and took years to even get it off the ground. It was worked on even when he died…”
“And his conscious was uploaded to preserve until you were ready and thus his memories and everything would be transferred into you…meaning you would cease to exist and he’d take over. At least, that is the theory,” Hiro stated and looked sick as he stared at the other with a gulp, “Lance’s right. That’s fucked.”
“Language,” Shiro said unconsciously, and blinked when Hiro was holding up what seems to be a dollar in hand, “Er…?”
“…Oh! Sorry, habit. Tadashi tended to have a swear jar on him to make me drop money inside with each swear I say,” Hiro hummed and placed his money away.
Allura coughed, already walking towards a table that was in the room, waving her hand as the glass over it vanished magically in sparks of light. In front of her were strange looking devices that almost looked like a game console to most.
"The Bayard is the traditional weapon of the Paladins of Voltron. It takes a distinct shape for each Paladin."
Once Allura was done with her explanation, the Bayards suddenly floated in the air and went to their prospective Paladin. Lance was the first to grab the red Bayard and blinked when it transformed into a broad sword.
“Er…I thought I’d be more of a gunslinger or something?” Lance hummed as he looked at the sword, but then squeaked when it transformed into a sniper rifle, and grinned, “Ha! That’s more like it!”
Both Shiro and Allura stared at Lance in awe for a minute, both of them having the same thought.
‘He really is special…’
Keith smirked as he had his own sword and his armour activated a shield on his other hand, “Sweet.”
Hiro looked at his Bayard for a moment before he saw it turned into an elegant looking katana, swinging it around for a moment and raised a brow, “I mean, I know I took Kendo when I was younger, but ah well…”
“Ohhh! I like my one!” Terra yelled as she looked down at the her Bayard turning into what seems to be gauntlets around both her wrists, clicking them and suddenly raised her arms to shoot to the ceiling as well.
“Amazing! They almost work like Dual Ranged Shot Gauntlets,” Hiro observed, tilting his head as Terra was bouncing in excitement.
Allura then softened as she looked to Shiro in sympathy, and Shiro knew what was coming next.
"Shiro, I'm afraid your Bayard was lost with its Paladin.”
“It’s…okay. I think I’ll just maybe use my fists?” Shiro raised said fists with a sheepish smile.
“Shiro, you suck at fist fighting?” Keith spoke up dryly, and Shiro felt himself wither a bit.
That was right. If Shiro was in his peak self with his metal arm and his time being the Champion, maybe he would be able to keep up with combats.
“…Then we better get started on training then,” Shiro finally said, looking over at Allura, who excitedly nodded.
“Shiro is right! We’re going to have to toughen you all up and whip you into shape! Starting tomorrow, we’re going to have to do some combat training and some team bonding so that you’ll be able to transform the Lions into Voltron easily~”
“Meanwhile, I suppose while they are training, we should think about making even more protection and defenses around the Castle. Not to mention we should check up around the area of Arus, see if there’s any life around here?”
Shiro remembered the Arusians and was about to tell Ben about it when suddenly Gambit screamed up a storm.
“Oh mon Dieu! WHAT IN THE—Es-tu fou?”
Coran looked a bit shocked as he stood with a floating plate of…green go beside him then felt insulted, “Hey, now! The Food Goo in the Castle is supposed to be nutritious and last for generations~”
“Mwen pa konprann—This isn’t REAL food! Gambit rather eat Jean’s nasty Christmas dinner than this, and that says something!” Gambit shuddered before shaking his head, “Non! Non! This won’t do! The first thing that should be done, is to get proper food stock!”
“…I agree.” Shiro winced at remembering the many years of having food goo on board in his first life, and was relieved someone finally said it.
“There’s gotta be a planet that probably has like a grocery store, right?” Cassie suggested as she pointed a finger up, “Unless we just…go hunting around the planet?”
“Thus, the idea of exploring Arus is a good idea,” Ben repeated once more and Shiro soon stood by his side, “What’s up, Shiro?”
“There is a village close by outside of the Castle…”
“There is?” Both Coran and Allura chirped in surprise, and Shiro nodded.
“Lemme guess…another vision?” Ben asked sarcastically as Shiro looked hurt at the suspicious look on his face, and Ben softened with a sigh, “I’m sorry. I know you said that you can see future stuff but…it’s just hard to believe…”
“I-I understand…” Shiro nodded, turning his head away, “I know that I’m not exactly trustworthy at the moment considering our tracked history.”
Ben felt his gut twist, taking Shiro’s hand, “No! That’s not—“
“So what should we do now if training is tomorrow,” Lance interrupted as he raised a hand, “Can we take the Lions for a spin?”
“Oh! Oh! Let’s have a race!” Terra exclaimed as she jumped by Lance’s side, taking his arm and pulling at it, “I wanna test how fast Yellow can go, even if she’s a big girl~”
Coran was twirling his moustache with a hum, nodding his head, “Good, good! It would be a great opportunity to get to know your Lions more. Together, your bond will grow even stronger and you’ll be able to be Voltron in no time. It's not going to be easy being the Defenders of the Universe."
Everyone was quiet for a moment with that line, and Shiro softened at remembering the exact words he said.
"Defenders of the Universe, huh? That's got a nice ring to it."
“I thought I’d find you here.”
Artemis raised a brow as she looked over to see Shiro peeking from the edge of the window sill she was sitting on, being near the highest window in the room.
“This place is also where I go whenever I need time to think…er, a-at least according to my visions, heh.”
Indeed, it was one of the rooms that Shiro had discovered one night when he couldn’t sleep. Apparently, according to Allura, it was a room that was similar to the Memory Chamber, but it mapped out all the stars and planets in the solar system they were currently in. In a way, it was indeed like an Altean planetarium.
“…Just leave me alone.”
“I managed to find where Laura was too, and she’s joining the others to explore Arus, did you maybe want to come with?” Shiro offered, even softening when she shook her head, curling in on herself, “Artemis…”
“You don’t get it,” Artemis sniffled, burying her face into her knees, hugging them, “You have no idea what it’s like to be taken from your home, forced into being surrounded by complete strangers and fight some war that has nothing to do with you! I just…I just want to go home!”
Shiro hoisted himself up to sit next to her, waiting in case she pushed him away. When she didn’t, he scooted closer, as he looked out the window and hummed.
“Actually, I know exactly how you feel.”
Artemis snorted, “Yeah, right. You look like you haven’t fought a day in your life.”
Shiro chuckled awkwardly, “You have no idea…”
Artemis raised a brow at him, and Shiro sighed.
“Believe me, I understand what you’re going through. You feel like that you were dragged into something and it’s not fair. That you wish to go and be with your loved ones and run away…”
“Hey! Don’t twist this in me being a coward—“
“I wasn’t.” Shiro murmured as he looked off in the distance, “I…I knew someone that was captured by some bad guys. That he was tortured over and over, his mind breaking each day. He hated the world, hated everything…including himself. He hated how destiny trapped him in a cycle of being forced to fight over and over everyday, and be punished when he loses…all because he knew that if didn’t fight, the people he cared about would be hurt.”
The archer was quiet as he talked, and Shiro took this time to pat her hand gently, making her look up at him.
“You seem like a fighter. And…it seems time was not kind to you in your world. But if you help, if you fight alongside us and save this universe? We’ll see in trying to get you home, to get back to your family…”
“…” Artemis sighed as she looked tired, “The last thing I remember before I was brought into this world…was getting news that the love of my life was gone.”
Shiro almost thought of his past self when losing Adam, “I’m so sorry….”
“Wally…Wally just wanted to be away from the hero life, you know? Finish college, graduate…maybe…maybe even settle down…?” Artemis shrugged, “I dunno. I thought that after our own battle in our world to defeat the Reach and save Earth, we had our whole lives ahead of us to think of what to do next…maybe it was my fault that I was itching to be a hero again and it costed me the best thing that’s ever happened to me…”
Shiro watched her face crumble, the strong facade she was holding onto just cracked as she started crying, and Shiro opened his arms out easily as he let her fall into him while she sobbed her heart out.
It was like looking in a mirror, the nights of him crying into a friend’s arms after a nightmare occurs, nightmares of his time in captive with the Galra, the episodes of being tortured every time…
The only ones that knew of his breakdowns were Keith and even Lance. But for Lance, it was mostly after defeating Hornerva and a year after Allura’s death. Lance was his rock at that time, and Shiro appreciated it. Keith did try his best to be there for Shiro, but Shiro knew that Keith was growing independent and was doing so much for the Blade of Marmora, Shiro didn’t have the heart to burden him with his problems.
‘This time, even if if this family is a little different…I’ll do whatever it takes to protect everyone. Whatever it takes.’
After a few minutes, Artemis pushed Shiro away gently and started wiping her eyes. Shiro offered a tissue to her, and she raised a hand up, shaking her head.
“Er, t-thanks. And…sorry for going all mushy on you…” She sniffled, her eyes puffy from crying along with the tear tracks down her cheeks, and Shiro smiled softly.
“You’re welcome…and hey, if you feel like, you know…being mushy again? Don’t hesitate to come to me. I’m willing to be a shoulder to cry on and listen.”
Artemis took a breath, shrugging, “It’s…gonna take time. I mean, I’m still wrapping my head around the fact my universe is gone.”
“Well, Caspian said he will find a way to restore it and get you and Cassie home so…at least there’s hope?”
Shiro honestly hoped to Bob that Caspian was telling the truth.
A cough sounded and the two looked down from their place to see Ben was staring up at them with his hands on his hips.
“Hey guys, some of the others went out to explore Arus for a bit for bonding time, but it’s mostly Keith, Lance and Terra racing with their lions and the others watching. Wanna go and catch up with them?”
“Er, you go on ahead Ben. Me and Artemis are…” Shiro glanced over at the blonde, who was rubbing her face frantically to hide she was crying just a minute ago, “Just having a talk.”
Ben stared at them for a moment longer before shrugging, “Okay~ Anyways, me and Star are gonna be talking with Allura about training tomorrow so, if you two are done talking by then, you can join us in the Lounge.”
And with that, Ben walked out.
“You didn’t have to stay with me, ya know?”
Shiro glanced back at Artemis and smiled.
“Nah, I felt like staying with you. Besides, since we’re stuck together for now, I thought this could be our own bonding moment.”
He then laughed for and Artemis looked at him weirdly before Shiro waved a hand, chuckling softly.
“Oh, um, I thought of something funny, like, something like this happened to a couple of friends of mine. Apparently one forgot their bonding moment together.”
“Oh, that’s...it sounds like a lot of romantic tension between them,”
“There were so much tension, it was hard to not to tell them to kiss already.” Artemis laughed a little and rolled her eyes upwards, “I know that feeling. Connor and M’gann were the same back when we started as a team it drove me crazy—“
Shiro smiled as he listened to Artemis’ tale about her team, her family, and couldn’t help but miss the dynamic back in his old life. He just hoped he made the right decision.
“Where are Friend Shiro and Friend Artemis?”
Ben looked up to see Starfire floating towards him, looking slightly worried, and smiled reassuringly to her.
“They’re having a talk. I think Artemis was overwhelmed with the whole thing and Shiro is just being a good leader and comforting her.”
“I don’t blame the poor girl. I, too, am still reeling at the fact that we have to prepare for a battle against Zarkon,” Allura spoke up as she was followed by Gambit and Caspian behind her, “Not only that…but to lose the only home you know? I feel her pain.”
Gambit placed a comforting hand on the Princess’ shoulder, “Well, she’s surrounded among good people now. Those that understand and now can be there for her.”
“You’re very quick to adapt, Gambit. I’m impressed,” Caspian pointed out as the Cajun shrugged.
“Eh, when you’ve lived in the bayou of Louisiana for as long as I have along with living with the X-men, survival comes easy to you,” He then paused before smiling, “Also, since we are all mon amis here, you may call me Remy.”
“In that case, I wish for you to all address me as Kori’ander…or Kori, is fine as well,” Starfire placed a hand over her heart and nodded her head, as Ben smiled, “Although Starfire or Star is also the option.”
“I already call you Star. And…I’m just Ben.”
Caspian quirked a smile before he asked while walking them back to the Bridge of the Castle, “So, what’s the strat for tomorrow?”
“Train the Paladins first. You lot can assist me with that since I believe some of you are combat ready…I believe you said you saved the world a few times, Ben?” Allura inquired, and Ben nodded.
“Ever since I was ten.”
“Oh my, you started so late in fighting?” Allura gasped while Ben looked at her strangely, “Why have you been held back?”
“Er, cuz…I’m not a child soldier, Allura—do the people in your homeward train children to fight in wars at a young age?”
“The earliest I’ve trained with my Mother in Military Combat and Battle Strategies was when I was just in the age of four deca-pheabs.” Allura stated confidently, but noticed the stares she was getting and looked puzzled, “Er, is that…not normal, on Earth?”
“Yeah well, Child Labor Laws will say otherwise…” Ben said slowly before noticing Coran was looking at something on the monitors of the Bridge, “Coran? You okay?”
“There’s an intruder lurking outside the Castle doors.” The man pointed to the screen and everyone looked up to see a shadow-y figure lurking near the Entrance of the Castle of Lions, but it was too dark to see who it was.
“How long have they been lurking there?” Ben questioned as Coran tried to lighten the video feed.
“For about five minutes, after the rest of the Team left…” The ginger Altean answered as he then gasped, “What if it’s a Galra?”
“Or maybe a being living on this planet?” Starfire pointed out, before looking to Ben, “Perhaps we should check?”
“Oh for the love of—Here! Why don’t I just bring them in here?”
Ben forgot that Charmcaster was there and before he could warn her, the witch waved her hand and suddenly a burly and hairy looking man growling at them. Gambit’s eyes widened as he almost recognized the person before him and stepped forward.
“Wolverine…?”
An angry battle cry sounded from the man as suddenly familiar silver claws appeared between his knuckles and before the beast like person could jump on them, Starfire quickly used a Star Bolt at him, blasting him away.
“ENEMY COMBATANT! HYA HYA!” Coran was quick to jump and tackle the man, pulling out what seemed to be Altean handcuffs and cuffing the man’s hands behind his back, “WE’VE GOT YOU NOW!”
“Coran, wait—!”
Gambit didn’t have a chance to finish his sentence before the animalistic man began to buck wildly from under Coran, throwing the Altean off before breaking the cuffs apart and pinned Coran down, one claw under the ginger’s neck.
“Where is this place, bub? Ya better start talking!”
“Logan! Logan! Stop!” Gambit skidded next to the man as he tried to pull him away from Coran, “It’s me! Gambit! Snap out of it, couillon!”
Logan was panting before he then snapped his head towards Gambit, and he blinked slowly, “…Gambit?”
A sigh of relief sounded from the Cajun, who smiled weakly, “Oui, it’s Gambit…”
Logan kicked Coran away from him before wrapping his strong arms around the red head, squeezing him tightly with a grunt, “Damn it, you swamp rat! I thought you were—?”
“Dead? Heh, hardly. As if you could get rid of the charmin’ Remy LeBeau~” Gambit joked before he choked when the shorter man started holding him even tighter, “Ack! L-Logan! T-Too tight!”
“You got a lot of explaining to do, asshole. Otherwise I’m going to break you in two…like a twig.” Logan growled with narrowed eyes, and Coran had to step in.
“Alright! That’s enough there—“ The Altean man was worried this man was going to hurt Gambit, but then blinked when Logan snapped his head towards him and snarled, and Coran raised his hands up in surrender, “Er, m-my what…what lovely teeth you’re showing—“
“What’s going on?” Shiro’s voice sounded as he and Artemis was stepping in the room, looking at the newcomer then at Ben, “Who’s this?”
“Long story. Apparently he’s Gambit’s friend.”
“Er, m-more like workmate,” Gambit joked before he tried to calmed Logan down, “Question is, I wonder if he was brought here like Gambit?”
Everyone looked to Caspian this time, and the man shook his head, his expression equally surprised.
“…This isn’t my doing.”
Shiro frowned, “Then who?”
Matt Holt felt furious.
Don’t get him wrong, he knew that Shiro was having a…hard time, before the Kerberos Launch. But the fact that his best friend went AWOL on him and has kidnapped two cadets that included Keith…honestly, Matt almost thought that Shiro was going through some mental meltdown, thanks to his disease.
Even Sam Holt was confused on how this all happened.
“It was the strangest thing, honey!” Matt heard his dad talking to his mom as soon as they arrived home and Sam had to explain what was going on, “Shiro just…left. And now he’s reported missing and wanted for insubordination and kidnapping! It’s honestly a disaster…”
Matt stomped his way up the stairs, not wanting to hear anymore, and went to his room. He paused for a moment as he saw his sister’s door, and almost wanted to burst in and rant to her on what happened. But considering he and his Dad came in late and surprised Mom, he thought maybe he should reserve that for tomorrow morning.
Opening the door into his room, Matt was about to flop himself onto the bed but let out a silent scream when he saw a hooded stranger on his bed.
“Relax, Matt, it’s me.”
Matt blinked as the hooded figure brought their hood down, and he sighed in relief, “Raven. It’s you.”
The mistress of magic crossed her leg over her knee, leaning back on her hands resting behind her as she sat on his bed, “I heard you didn’t go through with the Kerberos mission after all,”
“Yeah, no thanks to Shiro!” Matt closed the door behind him, plopping himself next to the former Titan, and let out a long whiny sound, “I’m telling you, Rae! It was like he went crazy! Not to mention he ran off with cadets with Ben—”
“Ben Tennyson was there?” Raven questioned with a frown.
Matt nodded in confirmation, “I know that Ben wanted to say goodbye and say his final words before Shiro left, but I didn’t think Shiro would just do a one eighty and chase after him. It almost seemed like yesterday Shiro couldn’t wait to leave Earth and be away from him, and honestly, I thought that was his whole purpose of going to Kerberos. But to see Shiro clinging to Ben and crying, I was so shocked—“
Raven listened carefully as Matt continued his rant, a thoughtful expression on her face.
‘Does this have to do with Starfire suddenly leaving the Tower too? Because she suddenly went missing as well.’
She knew Nightwing’s death was a heavy one, especially with how he died. Apparently, he was on a mission with Batman in Gotham as a favour to his former mentor, the mission being to take down some of Arkham’s inmates breaking out. It was then that Nightwing was suddenly hit by one of the guards, resulting the hero to fall and break his neck, instantly killing him.
‘A sad way to go, and none of us got over it…’ Raven thought to herself before looking up at Matt, who was still chatting away, and suddenly spoke, “Matt, do you have any idea where Shiro went?“
“Hell if I know?!” Matt groaned as he placed his hands over his face, taking a deep breath before he stared up at the ceiling angrily, “I’ve tried calling that man and it always goes to voice mail! I swear to God, if I ever see him again—”
“Maybe we could track him.”
Matt froze and snapped his head towards Raven, “Huh?”
Raven grabbed his hand as a dark shadow of a bird appeared behind them, ignoring Matt’s scared squeaks as it was wrapping it’s wings around them then vanished into thin air along with them.
“Matt? You in here?”
Katie Holt opened the door and peeked inside, blinking as her brother’s room was empty. Huh, she could’ve sworn she just heard him hollering and yapping just a moment ago?
Sighing, she stepped into the room to see if maybe Matt was hiding and readying to jump scare her, when all of a sudden, a bright gold light appeared before her. Shielding her eyes, Katie raised her arms up in defense and once the light was gone, she slowly lowered her arms and blinked seeing two strange boys in front of her.
“Wha—?! Who are you guys?!” She demanded as she grabbed the nearest object close to her, which happened to be a lampshade, and raised it as a weapon, “Don’t make me hurt you!”
“Wait, wait, wait! Cálmate! We don’t mean any harm,” The first boy, who looked to be a slight tan skinned boy with dark frizzy hair and dark eyes, his accent almost sounding Argentinian.
“Yeah! What he said! We’re looking for a Matt Holt!” The other boy, a red haired Caucasian in what seems to be a one-fitted tight suit in yellow and red…although what caught Katie’s attention was the symbol on his chest.
“…Kid Flash?” She murmured before the young man nodded.
“Yeah! Kid Flash II, you can just call me Bart—“
“Oi!” The first boy turned to Bart and hissed at him, “Why you got to reveal your secret identity?!”
“She’s Matt Holt’s sister right? We can trust her, Ed,” Bart patted his shoulder before looking at Katie, “Now, your brother? He here?”
“That’s the thing. I thought I heard him talking in here and…he’s suddenly gone.” Katie answered slowly, looking at the two warily.
Bart cursed as he was tapping his chin with his index finger and tapping his foot on the ground at the same time, looking troubled.
“Believe me, I was confused too when he suddenly appeared to me and dragged me around to different universes,” Ed told Katie before looked to his partner, “Bart, maybe we are in the wrong universe? Why are we looking for some guy named Matt Holt, anyways?”
Katie whistled to call their attention once more, and the two boys looked to her.
“How about explaining more things to me first? Starting off with, why do you look different than the Kid Flash I know and you said universes? And who’s sidekick is this guy?” She asked this as she pointed to Ed.
Bart sighed, “Okay, okay…we’ll explain everything—“
“And I am no one’s sidekick. I’m just Eduardo Dorado, or just Ed,” Ed pointed to himself then jerked his thumb towards Bart, who smiled, “And this jackass is here is trying to prevent the worlds from ending.”
Katie blinked, then sat herself onto her brother’s bed, “…Okay. Proceed.”

Hello Breaky,
One thing I am rather curious about, and I don't know if you have any plans for it in the remaining two chapters, is how Falco came to be adopted by Porco and Pieck. I imagine it was an incredibly harrowing experience for him, given his youth, but it seems to have worked out in the end, and I would love to hear what kinda home life they live, I imagine Porcos apartment has all kinds of jury rigged contraptions that allow Pieck and Falco to get around or use appliances like the fridge or television
Any chance to get your thoughts on this
Oh hi hi again!! :3 Thank you for another ask!! I like this one too, let's seee........
A bit of this was explored in chapter 18 I believe! Not entirely in-depth but, I can say that after Falco and Armin were separated, Porco did find Falco and took him in. Ofc, the very young Tiny was scared and believing the worst- especially after losing Armin so suddenly who he views as an older brother in this fic. So yes, at first it was a harrowing experience... but then Porco showed him Marley! Gradually a bond formed :3 Oooh yes xD While this may or may not be shown in the finale chapter... I can say that Porco's apartment indeed is very... 'Tiny's catered', hehe. Miniature steps and ladders that are attached to furniture, a TV remote that is on the ground at all times for Pieck and Falco to use... as for the fridge well, it's a bit more challenging for the little Tiny's to make use of it x3 Thankfully, as we know from Armin, Tiny's don't get hungry quickly! Able to go days without food if needed- but ofc, Porco NEVER lets them go without eating for more than at most 12 hours, plus his job as a bartender lets him take back some goodies, heh.
There are times where Porco needs to watch his step, as to not annoy Pieck by stepping on her as she's ALWAYS up to something and roaming about, not to mention how she nags her love about buying certain things :3 OH- and one more thing... Pieck also totally asked about "having Armin and Annie stop over", but Porco declined, concerned that Annie would try to strangle him again on the chance he annoyed her like previously xD. You KNOW how protective Annie is over her own Tiny... hehe.
I don't have much else to add here... because I don't want to potentially give away spoilers for upcoming scenes, hehehe! But thank you sm for this ask!! I hope it answered your question in a you were looking for!
#chatting with friends!!#mercutiothedestroyer#the difference between us#fic talk!#thank you for the ask!!
