i know i’m the one who keeps making jokes about Lucanis being financially savvy and wealthy but you have to understand. he is also IN TOUCH with reality. you can’t make the “One banana? How much could it cost, 10 gold?” joke about him because HE IS THE ONE DOING THE GROCERY SHOPPING. that joke is for rich people who have no clue how everyone else lives. If Illario asked Lucanis how expensive bananas could possibly be, Lucanis would say "well if you want the best bananas imported from Par Vollen those are quite pricy these days because of the blockades, but you can still get ones grown in Rivain more reasonably[1]”. But, crucially, he would still buy the expensive fancy bananas anyway because he knows Emmrich likes them[2] and he wants the team to eat well. And that’s what makes him mr fantasy heartthrob in addition to being a pathetic wet beast of a man[3]

AU where Leo is trapped in the Prison Dimension for months instead of minutes and the only way he gets by with his sanity intact is through recording himself talking to his wrist comm.

When they finally manage to get Leo back and make him rest up to heal, Donnie can’t help but listen to the recordings left behind.

He’s not sure what exactly he’s expecting, only that his subconscious is screaming at him that it has to be heartbreaking, that it has to be torturous.

Instead, what Donnie is subject to is a full thousand hours’ worth of Jupiter Jim and Lou Jitsu crossover fanfiction. More than one part in the series. Spanning well over a million words.

(The worst part is that it’s actually good.)

It’s six in the evening. The villain knows this from the telltale sound of plastic scraping against the wooden floor. The sound is accompanied by the undeniably incredible smell of food.

They don’t bother turning their gaze from the window—they can see the hero in the reflection anyway. They nudge the tray into the room as far as they dare, lingering awkwardly on the threshold for a moment.

“Finding everything okay?” they ask after an unbearably thick silence.

“Found everything but my morality,” the villain retorts flatly. “Keeping me in here won’t make me a goody two-shoes like you, y’know.”

The villain had expected worse; concrete floors, metal bars. But here they are, in a plush bed, looking out to the beautiful scenery beyond, a goddamn lasagne sitting on a plate for them. 

“Was compassion not a good enough reason to have you in here the first three times?” the hero asks, their voice halfway between confused and joking. “I get the impression you like it though, seeing as you haven’t… left this room.”

The villain scoffs. “Escaped, you mean.”

“Left,” the hero corrects. “You’re not… locked in here, you know.”

The villain finally snaps their gaze from the window. The hero flinches slightly at the speed of it. “What?”

“You’re not locked in here.” The hero shifts on their feet restlessly. “Did you never even try the door?”

It’s too embarrassing to admit that it was too nice here to bother trying to leave. “I like to get my escapes right first time. I won’t try it until I need to.”

“Right.” The hero shuffles again. “Well, there’s a lot of villains who know you’re here and have been wondering where you are.”

“Villains like who?”

The hero smiles, like they’ve fallen into a trap. “Come outside and find out.”

The villain scowls at that. The hero raises their eyebrows expectantly. “Eat your food,” they say casually. “Then come say hi, okay?”

“No.”

The hero sighs, like this is a conversation they’ve had a thousand times. “The door’s always open,” they say gently. “Come see the others when you feel up to it.”

They linger in the doorway for a moment but the villain offers no response, so they simply sigh defeatedly and carefully shut the door. 

Tsch. Does the hero think they’re stupid? They’d open that door and heroes would descend on them.

The day they leave this room, it’ll be as part of their greatest escape yet.

If Dorcas' plan hadn't worked and Marlene and Eli both died, who would be the mentor for district 11? They can't just use the handler forever it would dull the games, make them less entertaining. Also, what would they do about district six? There is nobody left to reap, would it just become another district 13? A warning to the other districts? Or was Riddle not planning to have another games?

my diy journal archive <3 due to using a filofax i was naturally confronted with archiving my pages and because i couldn't really find an archive binder that's easily accessible enough to not freak me out, i've settled on this diy rings solution.

additionally i ended up taking apart all of the notebooks i had used as journals this year to add their pages to the rings archive as well, because i quite like the idea of everything being in one place.

I've been really enjoying remnants; especially the part where I completely ignore the TWFW warning and listen to new episodes first thing Monday to start my week off with a bang; but I have been wondering what is the planned run length of the show?/ planned season lengths?

Oh noooo. Weeping at work hours.

Season One will be thirty episodes in total, with the finale expected to be released on 24th February 2025, unless something happens where I have to adjust my schedule (as a one-man production things can go sideways if I’m sicker than i expect to be, for example).

There will be a Season Two, but I don’t know when, or how long it will be. I am at this time 90% sure the story ends there, but not 100% yet. It’s likely S2 will be 30 episodes like S1, but there are other factors which might influence that, and I’ve yet to get into the nitty gritty of planning it. There are some big question marks in my schedule for 2025 which I won’t have answers for until March at the earliest.

Day 1 of spending no money was a success but idk how much of that can be contributed to me since my grandma paid for my lunch and my dad paid for my dinner 😝

STILL THO I think before I got to bed tn I’m gonna dec out my new bag so I can finally start using it, and I think I’ll put my wallet minus credit cards in there.

I know this won’t be the biggest help since most of my big frivolous purchases happen online but still, i think it’ll be good to at least remind me that I can’t be as careless about it as i used to be.

ALSO I finally got my bathroom all cleaned up and organized 🙏 I knows it’s just one small part of my room but I’m so relieved to have SOMETHING done. I’m still proud of how clean the living room/kitchen is but those are spaces I’m gonna have to continuously clean so I can’t be happy w it for tooo long (esp since I’ll be moving my bedroom shit in there to help w organizing)

REGARDLESS THO I think tmrw im gonna try to focus big time on cleaning my bedroom and closet, calling my dad to see if he can come install some stuff for me, and tidying up in the living room and kitchen before my Roomate comes back

Ghhrrr I’m so ready for everything to be in order, and I *know* that might not be possible to get done, but I’m REALLY hoping I can make a noticeable improvement, once I get the harder parts done it’ll at least be easier for me to finish up the next day 🤙
