just realized i should post these, made em a while ago- here's my 'transes your hedgehogs' series! (bonus edit for funsies below)

Sonic is on the Tornado with Tails and Amy. Big happened to find a Chaos Emerald while travelling to fish, thus he gave Amy a call to let them know about it. The Tornado is fast, but the trip is still going to take time (Big is on the other side of the planet, impressively), and they need to stop on the way for food and rest. Sonic can do without rest, but he needs food. Tails can do without food, but when you’re the one driving, you need rest. Amy needs both. Everyone is really hoping Big can hang onto the emerald until they get there.

Shadow is, in yet another fascinating coincidence, also on the hunt for a Chaos Emerald. While it’s unclear yet if he’s on the trail of the same one that Sonic is headed towards, he’s at least going about the same direction. Rouge has happily agreed to help him out with stealing it if necessary, sweetly dismissing all of Shadow’s interjections about distances and times of arrivals. The working excuse is that it’ll help him to be more viable in the field, though there’s a secondary motive he refuses to share (nor dwell on too deeply at this moment).

@bella-ss-books asked for Gweenpool. Gwen, being Gwen, broke the panel and also all the colouring rules I'd given myself so far (weeeelllllll tbh Novara started it, by getting 2 colours other than the grey instead of just 1 like everyone else).

Sonic is drifting in and out of consciousness on the couch, Tails curled up and asleep against his side. He wanted to watch a movie and miraculously, Sonic was tired enough to actually sit down for most of it. Still didn’t catch the plot, or the characters, or much of anything. He sure as hell doesn’t remember it right now. Tails huffs a deep sigh, and Sonic yawns as quietly as he can manage. It’s been ages since this happened, feels like a blessing. Tails isn’t all that cuddly anymore, especially not compared to when he was a kit. If he wasn’t seconds away from passing out, Sonic would be bawling right now.

Shadow is, funnily enough, very nearly in the exact same boat. Rouge managed to wrangle both him and Omega into watching some movie with her, insisting it was important cultural knowledge. He would have gotten up a long time ago if it weren’t for the fact he is sandwiched between the immovable objects of a very invested death machine and a loudly snoring bat. If he’s being honest, worse things could be happening. Something in his chest tightens when he remembers that he’s here because they want him to be here. Rouge put on a movie she likes because she wanted to share that enjoyment with him. Shadow wills tears not to form in his eyes, though he doubts Omega will care nor notice if he fails.
