Omg wait ok I forgor to post this little thing of Alethia being angry 😩 kind of think it'd be cool if her magic goes crazy 🤪 under the cut bc I'm shy and also I'm sure there's 2000000 grammatical errors tehee
Summerset is safe, but she feels nothing but dread; empty yet still alive. Birds chirp, wolves howl in the distance while the trees scatter beautifully bright buds and the lake bubbles peacefully. Her under-eyes are red, swollen and puffy from crying. With no tears left to shed, she sits along a porcelain slab, eyes vacant and dull against blooming flowers. Living in an eternal summer, it seemed life grew around her regardless of Alethia's plight. How fortunate, that she could give an endless amount of love but was cursed to live without it. She inspects her palms, tracing scars with an unsettling amount of calmness. She slumps, forgetting everything as she curls up into herself, no one was here to help. Her father; absent like always, her sisters; not here, her Mother; lost in scripture. Her friend...Alethia forces her eyes away from the lake as new tears flood her vision, but she can feel something lingering with her sorrow. Betrayal, anger, fury. Nails digging into the milky flesh of her calves, Alethia grits her teeth so tightly she fears her jaw may snap. She knew not to trust the Daedra, not even the supposed lady of light, Meridia. Her thoughts turn violent, like the sun eclipsed by the moon, she ganshes her teeth with ill intent. She would pluck her eyes from her skull, scalp her, render her light useless until her darkness swallowed meridia's light whole. She smiles, but it is a bitter thing, so ugly and achingly furious against her dainty features. Lips pulled back, she knows her soul had been tainted by Molag bal. Perhaps it would prove useful in the coming days, for if she could destroy Molag bal, Meridia's downfall would follow. Selfishly, she prays to her Goddess for vengeance, so lost in the spiral that is hate, she forgets who will be consumed first. A shame, that, but it cannot be helped as her restless form rises from the slab, fists trembling at her side. A mess of red tangled hair, her legs move slowly at first, until she cannot hide her anxiousness any longer and it turns into a sprint. Crying out, she runs until her lungs burn and the soles of her feet are raw from hitting pebbles hidden beneath coarse sand. She collapses in a heap, fingers rippling with magicka as they grip sand and it slides past the gaps of her fingers. A scream tears past her throat, her fists pounding against the sand as it transforms into glass from uncontrolled Magicka, heating it so hot it's melted and cooled beneath her bloody palms. Bile rises, and she's heaving past the clots which are hacked out through angry coughs and sobs. Blood lingers on her lips and nostrils, trailing down in her misery.
Mara's benevolence, she was to don the mask of her knights to be a holy force of love, to never raise a hand in a selfish endeavor such as revenge. This was the price that she paid, her wishes could not be grant so easily. Even so, her hate is so great that she would even forsake her Goddess to feel his warmth again, to smile and laugh with Darien. Even if no one helped, even if she died in this endeavor, it would be done. A silent vow, she grips the shards of glass in front of her so tightly, they slice through her palms. Collecting herself, she stands, eyes as dark as moonlight. Falling from grace, she seethes, not bothering to dust off sand as she makes for the mages guild. She would ask where Gabrielle is, and together they would form a plan with her newfound motivation. No one would escape her wrath.

The Elder Scrolls Online: Necrom - Post Tracing Shadows quest It's time we finally talk about what happened. As much as it pains me to revisit the events of the past and of.. Veya.. We need to do this. I.. need to do this. Find me in Necrom's tavern. There are too many prying ears here.

I don't want to write a full blown theory about this, but maybe Ithelia is why Darien has an axe in that promo art. She is the prince of paths and the unfollowed road. Darien did say in his final letter that if we ever met him again, he probably wouldn't be the same.
In his last letter,Words of the fallen, he writes:
"Perhaps we'll see each other again, in another place, another time. I probably won't be the version of myself that's writing these words, though. That me will be gone. I can live with that."
I could be onto something or I could be completely wrong, who knows? I just hope that if I'm right, some part of him remembers us and it's not some alternate version of him where we never met.

Words of the Fallen
Technically Darien Gautier x Vestige!Reader, but all I can say is play Summerset's main quest in ESO before reading this.
part 2
Warnings : Use of Y/N once. Angst because it is. Spoilers for the end of Summerset. Language. The letter is taken directly from the game, which is why it’s written way better than what I’ve actually written.
Words: 1000 (I can't believe I got such a perfect count)
Robin’s comment: Cried making this, bon appétit. More seriously, this chapter (the game's DLC I mean) made me hate Meridia. She was one of my favorite daedric princes, but now it's over. All hail Azura. Anyway this is basically me telling Meridia what she deserves to hear. There's also a hint of a part two at the end ;). I'll try to write it, but I can't guarantee anything.
"Never trust a Daedric Prince. If there's anything I learned from all this, that's it in a nutshell. I used to think I had a purpose, a part to play in the grand scheme of things. I suppose I did, sort of, but the way things turned out, it wasn't at all the way I imagined. Meridia said I was her vessel. I guess my fate was sealed from the moment she brought me into existence.
Now, here I am, back in the Colored Rooms. I thought that when I gave my energy to restore the sword—and I did that for my friend, not for Meridia—I thought that was the end of me. I'm back, though, but this time is different. My light, it's fading. I can feel the darkness getting closer, pressing in. I expect that once the light goes out, that will be the end.
I need to tell you something about Meridia. She's a deceiver. She promised that if I served her faithfully, I'd earn my freedom. She never told me that freedom was just another word for the void. Don't trust her. Don't trust any of the Daedric Princes. Not ever.
I've found peace though. Meridia gave me a chance to see the world, and those I care about, one last time. To save those I loved. I'm grateful for that, at least.
I wish I had a chance to say goodbye to everyone. To Skordo. To Gabrielle. Gods, I'll miss them. But most of all, (Y/N). I don't know if she will understand how much she truly meant to me. Perhaps we'll see each other again, in another place, another time. I probably won't be the version of myself that's writing these words, though. That me will be gone. I can live with that.
I only wish I could have spent more time with everybody. Had a few more adventures. Ordered those drinks like we always talked about.
I hope my friends find peace, happiness, and love. They deserve what I could never have. If anyone ever finds this book, know that I will never forget those I named herein. And, if you find them, and I pray that you do, tell them this.
Protect the ones you love. Hold them close. Cherish their every moment. Make them laugh, and laugh with them. Smile together and never, ever, forget that the moments you have are so very precious.
Oh, and tell them not to forget me, either. I mean, I am a legend, as far as I know.
The polite, handsome, and humble knight,
Darien Gautier”
You let the book fall back on the bench where you found it.
No… No…
You were breathing heavily. And a few minutes later, surrounded by those trees, you let out your anguish.
Dawnbreaker gripped tight in your hand, you screamed.
“Take it back! Take your goddamn sword back!”
“It seems my vessel isn’t the only one who ended up having feelings when he shouldn’t.”
A bright light. There it was, this patronizing voice. This voice you had respected, after giving you back your soul and helping you in Coldharbour. This voice you grew to hate.
“You bitch, he was my friend!”
“Where is your respect, Vestige?”
Vestige. You hadn't been called that since that time you helped Abnur Tharn in Elsweyr. Only the companions called you that. The companions and Meridia. But even the Daedric Prince hasn’t called you that during this whole mission. It was like you were back in Coldharbour all over again. Back fighting for what you thought was right, back, fighting against and with forces you couldn’t comprehend.
“My respect for you died when Darien got condemned. By your fault.”
“He was my vessel, an empty shell, a weapon to do my bidding. He served his purpose.”
“He was my friend!” You yelled again.
“And a traitor.”
“How the f-”
“He sacrificed he life for you. He purified my sword, not to serve me, but to help you.”
“Oh, so this is it? You’re throwing a tantrum because your tool wasn’t devoted to you only?”
“Careful with your words, Vestige.”
“You owe me! I’m the one who fought Molag Bal, I’m the one who assembled all those allies to stop the coalition! I’m the one who just stopped Nocturnal! And you owe him too! He may have purified Dawnbreaker for me, but everything else he did was for you, to serve you, because he was your champion! Because he truly thought he could trust you!”
“And you owe me for your soul. And he owes me for the purpose I gave him.”
“You wouldn’t have been able to take my soul if I hadn’t fought in Coldharbour! It’s all thanks to me! And his purpose? He could’ve been a hero without disappearing for your fucking sake! Hell, he just wanted to help his friends!”
“Friends he shouldn’t have had in the first place.”
“I swear, I defeated Molag Bal and Nocturnal, I can defeat you too. Take back your fucking sword and give me back my friend.”
You could feel Meridia’s rising anger, the air feeling tense around you despite the Daedric prince not being here physically.
“You want your ‘friend’ back?” The prince of light asked, her voice filling you with a bad feeling.
“Yes!” You answered. “Free him from your realm!”
You swore you almost heard Meridia growling, even if that sounded out of character. But that being was strict and cold, full of authority, like a severe and cruel mother. But nothing about her was motherly. She might have been less ‘evil’ than other princes, but she still served her own interests, mortals were just tools for her, or obstacles she had to get rid of. And you were sure that she was now in the second category.
“You will have to free him yourself.” Meridia declared. “That is, if you can get out of my realm.”
Her voice was tainted in cruelty, and a blinding light burnt your eyes before everything went black.

was just ranting abt this in DMs but yeah I’ll yell abt it again here too. I fucking hate the fact they made Naryu into a liar re: Veya depending on player choice after writing NJ bc it makes no sense w/ her character, and even worse it can be fixed with one change.
I get that what they’re going for is the ‘Veya was so important to her she’s willing to break her own morals to keep her from harm’ angle, which is good in a vacuum and if you don’t have the context of NJ, but if you do even her own brother who she was close with wasn’t that important, and when given directive was able to do what needed to be done.
If Odral didn’t exist and/or their relationship was changed entirely from close siblings to colleagues like the rest of the secretives this wouldn’t be an issue!! this would be a fine character moment!! but because Odral exists in the way he does and bc Naryu pre-Balmora now has a set precedent that nothing comes before her duty, not even personal ties or feelings and yes, she’s willing to kill even the vestige if it comes to that one half of a fake player choice goes completely against her character!! aaarrrggghhhHHHHHHHHHH
#Naryu tag#Bug Squad tag#spoilers#major spoilers#Summerset spoilers#ESO writers want me to believe the woman who was able to look#the brother she grew up and trained with in the eye and murder him bc the Tong demands she do and she has no choice#who is willing and able to kill even the person she may or may not care romantically for in the Vestige#can't do the same when it comes to a protege who's directly threatening her life / her livelihood / and the life of the org she works for#suddenly can't. ah yes, nothing quite sets the mood to having a serious conversation with Naryu about Veya more than her glitching between standing up and sitting down in between sentences. 10/10 gaming experience. also the player’s responses were so fucking bad i’m sorry.
#tbd#I love how you don't have a single option to even suggest that the player might be reluctant to kill Veya or anything#*might have been#even if you obviously choose to spare her life in Balmora#nope just coldly tell Naryu 'I did what I had to do to save Summerset' and then she apologises to you despite the dialogue seriously making#me feel like an ass#fae plays eso#necrom spoilers#eso spoilers

So we got some Fennorian lore in Gold Road!
This is nice cause we knew basically nothing about him prior to his time with the Ravenwatch, and now we have a little extra context, though not any he was expecting us to be privy to.
Let’s discuss. Spoilers for ESO Gold Road, specifically the quest “Vesper Vintage” in West Weald.
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/233ab1991580b3a0f463d437624d8b94/1ad19288b40537e6-22/s540x810/4ab5a3f32161e2b1e4023c849bd7cebf6be2801d.jpg)
So from what I’ve gathered, and this may very well be refuted in future content, here’s what we know:
- Fennorian is very young, by vampire standards especially and maybe Altmer standards as well, as his time as a mortal is within living memory
- He’s most likely from a noble family in Summerset
- He was betrothed in a business arrangement of sorts to an Altmer named Usilia, but he abandoned her and the rest of his family once he was turned. They don’t seem to hate one another but certainly aren’t in love
- We don’t know why or how he was turned but we can guess it wasn’t pleasant, as he specifically tells the Vestige he doesn’t want to discuss it with them yet despite trusting them
Now, his age is up for debate here. Usilia remembers him as a mortal, but we don’t know how old she is either; Altmer can be very long-lived. But we can guess she’s young as well since the betrothal wasn’t that long ago, and noble families tend to want their children married off fairly early, especially if it’s a business deal.
The way they have him wary about telling us how he was turned suggests that the writers want to explore it in the future at some point. Or they don’t know. I doubt that though.
Thoughts?

Isla Kingston, breton, main Vestige, magsorc
My babygirl I've had since the start of ESO who's had too much stuff happen to her to list it all out so I guess like. summary? (spoilers for like all of eso and dlcs)
orphan raised in the imperial city until she left as a teenager right before the soulburst. met the boy who would be the breton hero and adventured with him. had a small falling out that ended with her getting killed and vestige'd and him going to war
does the main quest and DC, falls for darien and gets with him, loses him after the main quest but was pregnant with his kid and names the daughter Phoebe. continues on with all the alliance storylines and dlcs being an absent mother until summerset. elopes with darien, tells him about the kid, loses him again and swears off being a hero because people close to her always die.
abnur drags her back for elsweyr, she reunites with the breton hero sebastien but he isn't ready to return to normal life yet after the trauma of dying, she tries to retire again after abnur dies. comes back Again after undaunted stuff leads her back into being a hero. keeps going with heroing until deadlands where she finally snaps about losing people and never having her boundaries respected (really hates daedra from her upbringing and history, and despises lyranth now).
contacts seb for help after she says she cant do it anymore without someone who can understand the real her, he finally comes out of hiding and announces he isnt dead. his godfather emeric gets him a job working with lady arabelle. they both do high isle and galen together.
seb steps in for her to do the main quest in necrom because she refuses to make a deal with mora and step into apocrypha and he didnt want to force her to break that boundary yet again. they do west weald together as a couple

For the character thing - let's go with Darien Gautier :3
Perfect time to ask about him because he's been on my mind for nearly 2 days straight (also ESO spoiler warning)
First impression
Jakarn 2. Marvel dialogue. Whatever
Impression now
His dialogue while he's your companion during a quest or when interacting with other characters walks on such a fine line between endearing and annoying (although personally for me it veers more into endearing) but those one on one conversations we have with him are great. I always look forward to talking with him (even if he is really stupid. peak himbo). I definitely like the way he was written in Summerset more than in the base game, but i liked him in both.
Favorite moment
While my favorite is probably when he repowers Dawnbreaker at the end of the Summerset story (especially in the context of the notes he leaves you afterwards) his more memorable moment is in Coldharbor before the final push when you can have a conversation with him because it was the first moment when he felt like more of character with an amount of depth than a comedic relief side character (also when I went "this guy is gonna die, isn't he?)
Idea for a story
I just want him to come back and a conclusion to his character arc and story! What is his deal with Meridia? Where is he now? I want answers!!
Unpopular opinion
He looks like an updated version of an Oblivion character. Don't get me wrong he's cute and I like his face but it is the face Martin has in Oblivion. The official art where he's "sexy" looks wrong to me lol
Favorite relationship
Him and the Vestige (this makes me so emo) with a honorable mention for him and Gabrielle
Favorite headcanon
Less headcanon, more theory: He is a demiprince (or some other semi-daedric entity) of Meridia that she had be born or otherwise put into existence to do her bidding on Nirn, assuming he would just be a mortal completely loyal to her instead of a guy with his own thoughts and goals and opinions. That's my working idea, anyway.

After reading @99corentine 49th chapter, I thought about a lot of references about Chry's past. There will be spoilers about KFP2, Blue Eye Samurai and the fic GOL HAH DOV, but mind you : if a piece of media isn't enjoyable because you got spoiled, then maybe it isn't well made (unless it's an Agatha Christie but the whole point of her novels was the mystery) so bear with me.
In chapter 49, Chry wants to know about his past after a strange and stressful encounter with Elenwen. He tries to return to the place where he first awoke, one year before the events of this chapter, but without any success. He upset for several things, for his loss of memory of course but also the fact that he might have a family and even a spouse (with his ring at the marriage finger) that didn't go after him.
Firstly, there's the feeling of emptiness and shame about his worthlessness, how he compares himself to Miraak, someone who was important even as a pawn of Hermaeus Mora, when he was just good enough to be left behind by his supposed relatives and be used as a thrall by a cruel man in a foreign country. Chry feels like that all the glory he had in one year, even after killing Alduin, was nothing, like a fraud, that he's just worthless (these thoughts happens just when he has the post prophecy blues, like Teldryn said, so yeah Chry might feel depressed). That his past is was he is at core. Which isn't true but he believes it and that's something a lot of us can relate to (golden child syndrome, school failure, broken dreams, childhood trauma, etc.).
Fortunately, Miraak reminds him that Chry was the one who believed he could be a better version of himself, going to tyrant to leader (even though he still is at the head of a cult lmao), that his actions helped and saved so many people and that he's a great hypocrite for telling others they can be better when he tell himself the contrary.
It reminds us ofc of Paarthunax's iconic wise words "What is better ? To be born good or to overcome your evil nature though great efforts?" But I feel it echoes better to Miraak's case because he was in fact evil and became a bit more grayer thought the story, whereas Chry has forgotten his past and was just lost and miserable. In this case I was reminded of this sentence in Kung Fu Panda 2 : when Po discovers the calcined remains of his childhood village (that he forgot about because of PTSD), he's feeling sad and ashamed that his birth was in bloodshed and suffering, but the soothsayer who saved him says to him "Your story may have not such a happy beginning, but it doesn't make you who you are. It is the rest of your story. Who you choose to be." And that's pretty much Chry's case : he awoke in a place of suffering and when he left, he wanted to have a life of his own and to be greater than what he was before, to be in control. Man the parallels between him and Miraak are even greater ksjsjsks
Then let's return to the family problem. Even better (or worse idk), the spouse problem. If Chry had any family left in the Summerset Isles, they didn't care to go after him when he was gone missing.
There are several theories about why Chry wasn't found, if he ever had relatives : the first thing is that he's of mixed heritage because he has a greater physical strength than all the other altmer altogether and most importantly striking blue eyes ; altmer people don't have blue eyes* and it's a great deal for almost every Alinor citizens to be of pure lineage, so imagine having in your family a very unusual child with characteristics a little bit too close to Nords'. You just want to get rid of it to avoid shame on your family.
(*nota bene : in Skyrim game, altmer people only can have amber, golden or emerald eyes, whereas in ESO you can have them have blue eyes, but we're following Skyrim's logic here)
So if we follow this theory, Chry's supposed family wanted to get rid of this problematic scion, either by banishment... or marriage. A marriage that didn't go well at some point. And that's when I got reminded of Blue Eye Samurai (incredible series on Netflix, go watch it). Some context : in the Edo period (17th century in Japan), we follow the revenge journey of Mizu, a lonely samurai with mixed heritage (a Japanese mother and an unknown white father) with striking blue eyes. These eyes disgraced them because it was considered demonic at this time in Japan (like in ancient Greece, blue eyes were either vulgar or bad omens).
At some point in their story, Mizu finds their mother who they thought died years ago in a fire. She wants them to marry an old samurai who, like them, is a castaway, so they can in some way redeem themselves for their shameful life and at least be a good bride. They get married and although Mizu is a bit reluctant at first (because of how are viewed their eyes), them and the samurai fall in love with each other and have lovely years together as an odd couple. But it falls apart when Mizu wants to show their incredible battle skills to their husband, who gets scared and angry, calling them a monster, because deep down he still had this bias that blue eyes are demonic and bringer of destruction (an onryo). That he only loved Mizu because they were behaving despite their mixed heritage.
He betrays them, bringing mercenaries to kill them and Mizu, deeply hurt and enraged, kills everyone and run away to pursue their revenge of getting rid of the four white men who lives secretly in Japan. But I digress
Maybe something similar happened to Chry, that when he discovered his thu'um, he got shamed by his family/spouse and he went (or ran away) to Skyrim to search for answers or got abandoned here. Maybe we'll know and maybe we won't because there's still almost two chapters left for the fic to be finished and I am not well.
Anyway I had fun doing these parallels! Theories and psychanalyses my beloved.
Mizu my beloved
#gol hah dov#Skyrim#chrysanthe#Miraak#theories#skyrim the elder scrolls#I love this fic to a level ...

Robin’s comment: Sooo I finally finished this. I hope you'll like it!
“Hey, wake up!”
You recognized this voice. It hasn’t been long since the last time you heard him, but it still felt like something from a long time ago. You blinked, blinded by an intense light, before your vision adjusted. A man was looking at you, his voice tainted in concern.
“What are you doing here?” He asked, puzzled.
You blinked again.
“Darien?”
“It’s me.” He nodded, his face becoming clearer in your vision, despite the light surrounding you. “What are you doing here?” He asked again. “Are you another illusion from Meridia? Is she still trying to make it worse?”
“Huh?”
At this, a hint of a smile appeared on his lips, as if that simple reaction was an undeniable proof that you were real. That it was you.
“Ah, of course. No one else would go to these lengths to save a comrade, mh?”
“And no one else would end up stuck in the Colored Rooms just to help a friend, mh?” You retorted, your lips curving slightly. This place was brighter than you had anticipated, and Darien – oh Darien, he didn’t look bright at all. He may have looked happy to see you, but his signature golden armor was so dull, so…. So not golden, his blue eyes almost looked lifeless. His smile definitely didn’t reach them, and his voice was cracked, as if he had been screaming.
“Are you okay?” You eventually murmured, slowly standing up and taking in your surroundings, though you could barely see any landscape with all that light.
A heavy silence followed and he sighed quietly, his shoulders slumping.
“Honestly?… No.”
Darien. The heroic Darien. The Darien, who was always all smiles and positivism and smugness was admitting he wasn’t okay. It was a big thing. And deep down, you knew that even before coming here. That book said he was disappearing, after all, of course he wouldn’t be okay.
“Well. We’ll get you out of here and it’ll be fine.” You declared.
“How do you think you’re going to do that? How did you even end up here anyway?” His voice was skeptical with a hint of concern.
“I kind of… argued with Meridia.”
“Argued?” Darien’s eyebrows raised.
“… Yelled…”
He almost snorted.
“Of course you would do that. Just for me?”
“Darien, I–“
“You…?”
“… I couldn’t leave you here and you know that. Not after everything, not after you literally sacrificed your life for me.”
A heavy silence. Your eyes were on his, (e/c) pupils meeting blue ones. Your breathing was audible, a steady pattern going in and out of your lungs while he pondered an answer to that.
“How could I not?” He finally whispered, making your eyes widen ever so slightly. “You’ve been my companion for so long, my friend. I’ve saved the world – hell, our reality – by your side, twice, and even before that it was in my dream that you accompanied me. Even if those dreams were visions from Meridia, I’m grateful for them because they made me realize I’d find someone who matters. And after that, that I did find someone who matters. So yes, I’m grateful for them. I’m grateful for you. More than you could imagine.”
Another pause.
“… How much?” Your voice was as quiet as his.
The question hung in the air, as you stared at each other.
He took a step towards you, his tired eyes looking way less hopeless than they did a few moments before.
“My friend…”
Oh, how you loved this. He never called you vestige. Never called you hero, never by any title. Just his friend. And it was all you needed.
“I gave my life for you…” He continued, slowly taking your hands in his, intertwining your fingers. “… And I’d do it again. And again. No questions asked.”
You exhaled, your breath shaking a bit. “Darien… I would never ask you to give your life for me. I wanted you to live. I want you to live.”
He smiled.
“I don’t know if I should call you selfless or selfish for this.”
You shrugged.
“Maybe I’m both.”
You looked down at your joined hands, he was absentmindedly rubbing circles on your skin.
“Maybe it doesn’t matter.” He replied. “All I know is that I won’t let your efforts go to waste. We’re getting out of here together, okay?”
You couldn’t help it, you smiled, hard, and this smile definitely reached your eyes. You briefly squeezed his hands in yours.
“Good, because you don’t have a choice. I’m not leaving without you.”
You reluctantly let go of his hands and turned around, determined to look for an issue in here, to get both of you out of this terrible place. However, he caught your wrist and, before you could realize what was happening, he turned you around and pressed his lips against yours. It was over in less than a second, as he took a step back.
“Sorry- I don’t know-” He apologized profusely, looking unusually awkward, realizing he had just touched you like that without asking you. He didn’t have time to finish, though, as you kissed him back, shutting him up instantly. He exhaled through his nose before wrapping his arms around you – realizing just now how unpractical his armor was. You stayed like that for a moment, pouring out pent up feelings, pain, fear, even, and affection, into this kiss. When you finally pulled away, you murmured.
“Ask me, next time. Okay?” You said gently.
“… Yeah. Sorry.” He breathed, still looking dazed. He wasn’t expecting you to actually kiss him. But then again, you didn’t expect this either. He blinked when he realized those last words.
“… Next time?”
“Yeah. Next time.”
He smiled like an idiot, holding you tighter in his arms.
“Ow, ow, okay big guy, maybe- tone it down a bit, your armor is suffocating me.”
“Sorry!” He said quickly, loosening his embrace. “Sorry, I just… Wow. You really mean that?”
“Darien.” You said, taking his hands in yours once again. “I care for you. Okay? More than you can imagine. If I have to go through Oblivion as a whole to get you back, I will. If I have to fight Molag Bal again, Nocturnal, Meridia, every daedric prince, I will. I’m not leaving you here.”
He nodded hesitantly, not knowing how to answer. But then, he took a deep breath.
“… I love you.” And you could see he meant that. His eyes held an unmistakable sincerity. Just like yours did when your only answer was to kiss him again.

Some gibberish on Naryu's quest in Necrom(SPOILER ALERT)
Compare to the previous encounters with Naryu, I feel like her voice sounds a little bit husky. It may because her voice actor Kath Soucie(a brilliant VA who also voices several other npcs in eso) is about seventy now so her voice may not in the best condition. But I also like to think that Veya's debacle really worn her down. Instead of the usual cocky and vivacious Naryu, I feel some...melancholy in her this time.
Another surprise is that I actually get to discuss Veya's event with Naryu in Necrom's tavern after the Telvanni Peninsula quest. I really thought eso would just let both Naryu and the player ignore this and pretend nothing happens. Anyway, this is like an official epilogue of Summerset since I always kinda feel guilty about not telling Naryu any of this. (PS: Naryu's dialogue made me cry 😭)
We also get to see Ashur. After his quest, Ashur also went to Necrom's tavern and he and Naryu would make different CONVERSATIONS, they even talked about Elam Drals!(THANK YOU ESO!!!)
