Gabriel still remembered an almost sweet kiss that Loki gave him before betraying him so painfully, and even hell's torture couldn't erase the lingering taste.

Ok, having watched the episode again, it has to be Gabriel. He talks and acts like Gabriel! I know we didn't see much of actual Loki, but he didn't seem to be like that. The whole glasses and resume thing?! Gabriel.

More Gabriel points-

The snapping. Him snapping that dude away was just like Cas in Changing channels. I have to watch unfinished business again but I don't remember Loki ever snapping.

The doubles he made didn't have that fancy hologram thing Loki had going on. This is a weaker point lol

The lore makes no sense. The mirror???? And there's no mentions of wooden stakes or whatever. AND WHERES THE CANDY??? So, maybe it's some bizarre AU world or something and none of spn canon matters XD

Also, that video with Rich talking to the gang answers nothing. Jensen didn't know what was happening, and Rich was sorta explaining Gabriel and Loki in Supernatural. So 😅

On the topic of me being annoyed they retconned Gabriel being Loki, I love the idea of, after him leaving his father (aka god), he was adopted by Odin. I love that idea. Like, cmon, they could've done so much cool shit with him being Loki.

But I suppose they didn't want to have to explain him fucking a horse and such.

Loki or Gabriel?

So heres my two cents.

In s13 of supernatural, Gabriel states that he helped loki and when he had to run away because of Michael and Lucifer fighting he traded places w loki (before luci was casted out).

So by the time "The Winchesters" start, Gabriel has been loki for Centuries.

You can also argue that in SPN theres never mention of a mirror used to trap loki. But also theres never mention of using a mirror to trap Gabriel.

If we go by this alone then YES. Gabriel is loki in episode 8.

But we dont know how much jensen decided to change from the og lore.

My money is on Gabriel, because jensen knows just how loved RSJR and Gabriel are in the fandom, and that the fandom was angry at Gabriels death. So from a marketing stand point itd be very Smart to bring a character like Gabriel back in some way.

Anyway thats my thoughts.

So Gabriel made his vessel, right? He didn’t take Loki’s body, he (or maybe Loki??) made an exact duplicate for him to inhabit. So why did we never see any other angel do this in the show??? I understand it was a sloppy s13 retcon but the implications are absolutely wild,, even if it’s something only archangels can do that could’ve completely obliterated multiple plot points throughout SPN, esp late seasons. It would’ve been so so cool and chaotic and fun but I guess not because the angels aren’t allowed to be interesting
