  It was hard to tell which was which at first.  They had changed their hairstyle to look like the other.  Tenmei, or Sailor Phoenix, looked between the now “eclipsed” twin sisters.  She did not like what was happening to them one bit.  The others were struggling against the both of them, and the twins were also arguing.

When have they ever not?  Tenmei thought to herself as she dodged another rune.  Neither twin got along with the other, but when they shared an enemy … dear stars, they could fight.

The more athletic of the sisters dodged a fireball from Sailor Leo, pulling the less athletic one of the sisters into its path.  Sailor Gemini, or rather Haruno Yumeko, cried out in pain.  She was badly singed.

“That’s what you get, Yume-chan!” laughed the now “eclipsed” Sailor Didymos, or rather Haruno Nijiko.  She attempted to land on another platform, but her sister pulled on the chain between them.  Her fingers and palms cut on the cuffs that joined them together.  “Whoa–AAAAH!” Nijiko was shoved into the ground next to Yumeko.

“We made a promise.  We’d take care of the others,” Yumeko cried, determined to get her sister to cooperate with her.  “And together!”

Tenmei’s eyes widened, staring at the “eclipsed” Gemini sisters.  “What promise?”

The girls showed their cuffs which also held a bracelet.  Yumeko’s held a muted white pearl.  Nijiko’s held a muted black pearl.  An inverse of the twin’s brooches of their Sailor suits.  “Our promise to eliminate you!” they cried as they aimed their palms at the others.  Both held small planetesimals of light and darkness, and fired.

Tenmei and the others jumped in various directions to avoid the explosions.

“They’re eclipsed, Phoenix, we need to purify them!” Virgo shouted from her place on the ground.

“Right!” Tenmei gasped, and pulled out her sword.  It transformed into a staff.

Both twins stared at the Senshi, concentrating on forming planetesimals again.  Virgo managed to pull herself up and darted in front of Tenmei to take the brunt of the hit.  Virgo grunted in pain as the planetesimals hit her and she landed on the ground next to Tenmei.  Smoke came off of where Virgo was burned by the attack.  She was also nursing some major cuts.

“Hngh… don’t … worry about me, we need to purify them!” Virgo shouted.

“But you’re hurt!” Tenmei cried, tears pricked her eyes.

“Concentrate!  On!  The!  Fight!” Virgo screamed.

Aquarius, or Hoshino Izumi, stood in front of Virgo and Phoenix.  She outstretched her hand to summon an amphora.  She aimed the amphora at the sisters.  “We’ll have to weaken them beforehand!” she called.  “I’ll take her hits!  Sagittarius!”

Sagittarius materialized a lightning bow and two arrows.  She pointed them at the sisters.

Tenmei was horrified.  “What are you doing, Sagittarius?!”

“Be prepared to heal and purify, little empress!” Sagittarius growled, shooting the arrows as the sisters shot more planetesimals.  Sagittarius balled a fist and gestured for the arrows to cut through the balls of energy.  They did, however the planetesimals made their ways towards Aquarius.  “Aquarius!”

“Got it” Aquarius said, pointing the entrance into the vessel at the planetesimals that have conjoined in one massive ball of energy.  Her amphora pulled the energy in, and Aquarius had to do everything in her power to maintain the voidal energy she was using.  She succeeded, however she was pushed back closer to Tenmei.  “Before all of this, what promise did both sisters break?  That’s what I want to know,” she confided to Tenmei.  “That might have had to do with them turning and eventually seeking the enemy out.”

“Right, but we’re all in different schools, Aquarius!” Tenmei said, desperate to remember at least some clues to help her persevere.  She wanted her friends back!

“Yes, but Virgo’s here, what did you hear about the Haruno sisters?” Aquarius asked, glancing over to the green and pink Sailor suit-clad girl.  “It’ll help us, while I take on more of their attacks.”  She hurried forward to tank another set of planetesimals.

Virgo closed her eyes and reopened them.  “I remembered Nijiko wanted to stand apart from her sister, but she was also angry that her sister took the guy she wanted,” she said.  She remembered the tears.  The anguish from the younger sister as she found Yumeko with the guy she liked.  Her eyes widened.  “United they stand, divided they fall!  Sagittarius!  Separate them with your arrows!”

“On it!” Sagittarius said as she watched the sisters attempt to cooperate with one another to bring all of the Senshi down.  However, it was not going to work.  Sagittarius skidded down from her perch, and darted for the two sisters.  “Leo!  With me!”  Leo nodded and followed Sagittarius.

“I don’t want to hurt them.  I might kill them,” Tenmei clenched her fists on the staff.  Tears fell down from her cheeks.

“You must do your best.  They’re in pain too,” Virgo said as Aquarius collected more energy and shot a string of energy back at the sisters.

Tenmei looked down at the ground, as Sagittarius and Leo started close hand combat with the twins.  Her eyes narrowed in determination.  She dropped her staff and ran towards where Sagittarius and Leo were.  The twins were still fighting amongst themselves.

“Phoenix!” Aquarius cried.  “Shit!”  She ran after Phoenix with her amphora at the ready.

Virgo’s eyes widened as she watched in horror as Sagittarius and Leo were pushed back.  The twins were free and were able to turn on one another.  However, Phoenix was rushing into the fray.  She was determined to come between the sisters.  “PHOENIX!”

Tenmei glanced as she saw Nijiko and Yumeko readied their attacks against one another.  She rushed between them and let the planetesimals attack her instead.  She let out a pained scream.  Her eyes widened.  She burned all over.  She was cut all over too.  One of her pigtails’ ties was ripped apart and orange-red hair spilled down her back.  She could not see the widened glances from the others as she fell to the ground, fabric and blood fell from her suit and wounds.

“Phoenix!” Nijiko shouted as she rushed towards Tenmei.  Yumeko gasped as she hurried towards the twins’ downed friend.

Tenmei was happy she got the two to stop fighting.  She let that be known.  Yumeko and Nijiko begged her to stay with them.  To not shut her eyes.  Tenmei did not, through her tears and agony, she struggled to place her hands on each girl’s hand.  She smiled at them as she glowed a red-orange.  She would purify them if it was the last thing she did.

“You made a promise to me.  Each of you.  Please uphold it.”

  Eventually the bracelets shattered off, and the twins appeared in their respective Sailor suits.  They in turn healed Tenmei.

They would all struggle to get home together.  The boy was forgotten for the time being so each of the girls could forgive the other.

It's been at least 2 months of failure but I can finally say: Goodbyeeee Ice Trial 80🖕

Thank you right-thumb for accidentally button mashing the resonance skill literally RIGHT before the shield locked so it already had 2 shields gone going into that whole BS... which is what i was trying to do this whole time but never timed it right.

Had enough time to break its shield AGAIN after it got done pelting me with purple lightning and I still had 17 seconds left to beat the hell out of it (and my phone) while it was passed out until the motherfkr was dead with 3 seconds left on the clock. Ohhh....myyy... god.
