really so fulfilling to service reactive dogs. checked in a patient that was nonstop barking and lunging while i calmly shout-asked for history from the clearly exhausted owner. she says the e.r. vet wouldn't touch him and made her feel horrible, like he's a bad dog and she's a bad owner (not making a read on that vet, she was just feeling judged), and i just really really love being able to offer reassurance now that I'm at a place where reactive dogs don't scare me. i KNOW this dude is your baby at home ma'am, i will treat him as such. love seeing owners stop being embarrassed and start feeling relief.

#it's not that I'm not careful I'm just not scared. handling reactive dogs for 9 years with no bad bites.#SO FAR.... knock on wood #i enjoy it. unique client experience you only get with reactive dogs.#m2a #work stuff #so much of this comes from experience with Joanie having leash reactivity. reactive does not equal bad mean evil!!!!

#every time i tried to save my game it just crashed straight to desktop #idk why #i had to move poppy to a new save with nraas porter and i haven't had any problems so far with it #but still it was annoying as hell to just make progress in the game and then it maybe saved one time and i was like yay it works now!!!!!!!#and the next time it crashed again #and i kept losing like 20 minutes of progress over and over again #anyway knock on wood it works now i will be so mad if not #💬

wow dont know how we went from complaining about missing gill0vn* to having videos & rumored podcast & new old pictures about them it all went so fast (it makes me happy)

The universe heard us 😂 after not getting anything for so long, we deserve this now. These new/old pictures truly are a gift. So is the possibility of having Gillian on DD's podcast. We didn't get anything for the 30th anniversary of the show. It makes me happy, too, and I love seeing the enthusiasm for all of it in the fandom. I've seen people online I haven't seen in a while. It's wonderful.

I've long wanted to do an editing sweep of Lighthouse Sanctuary. I was highly conscious of the fact that I was a better writer by the time I finished it than when I started, and I remember picking up some things when I was posted the final few chapters and going "damn, I prob did this earlier, too, I wish I had caught them earlier."

So as much as I wanted to edit it to make it stronger, I also dreaded it. I tend not to re-read my own work, because I assume I'm going to find a million things I want to change and I don't have time for that. Once a story is posted, it is simply none of my business. And I was especially wary of this fic, which was so close to my heart. I just didn't want to read it again and end up wanting to change everything about it.

But I won that bookbinding prize, so I figured now was as good a time as any to go through and clean it up, just so there wouldn't be any embarrassing typos and such committed to print.

And... it kind of slaps?

I really love it.

I'd read this on my own.
