Probably going to get in trouble for this one, but one fic I've always wanted to write is an introspective fic about/from the POV of Rhys 👀 As much as I'm a hater, I do find his villainy and bad deeds very compelling, and I just think doing a fic that really delves into his regrets and own reckoning would be soooooo interesting

Have you checked out Gaqalesqua's Jacob Seed X OFC fics on AO3? Some of my favorites, she writes him so well. The good and the bad sides.

I have!!! Genuinely so obsessed with everything they write 🤩 my current favourite is Only Ever You but they're all an absolute gem. I will die for Dita, honestly!

It's also, coincidentally, their fics that got me into Jacob in the first place! I was stalking my friends AO3 bookmarks for stuff to read one night, and the premise of one caught my eye. I googled him before I read it, and then was immediately like, welp. Cool. This is happening (before I found out his VA is MARK PELLEGRINO??? My beloved)

Guess they're kinda to blame for me currently watching character swapping vids on YouTube with the Seeds 😭 (love them for it, of course)

This is even further emphasized with Izutsumi. She’s 17 (and actually turns 18 during the faligon feast), older than the tallman age of maturity, and still reads VERY immature to the audience. By the time Chilchuck was Izutsumi’s relative age, he was already on his third kid and had moved away from home to the city.

Imagine Izutsumi being a parent of three. Imagine Senshi having a child of his own when he was with the miners.

Like. Chilchuck was young young.

guys. caitlyn hitting vi at the end of ep 3 is heartbreaking for SO many reasons. it's a deep betrayal for vi, who wasn't expecting that kind of violence from her, from anyone but her, it was yet another enforcer hurting her, it was caitlyn (potentially) hitting vi on the wound she herself once sold her own rifle to help heal, the same weapon she hit her with, but most importantly,

it's also heartbreaking because vi has dropped everything to be the person she thought caitlyn needed; a pillar, a shoulder to cry on, a soldier, a killer; a betrayer of her own people. she became the same opressor that hurt her community, that killed her parents, that haunted her for the years she spent in stillwater. she became all of that, because she thought that caitlyn needed it.

vi has completely, utterly betrayed herself, and it still wasn't enough for her to stay.

Just saw a TikTok complaining about ‘kitten’ as a pet name in fanfiction and while I do agree with/understand their discomfort on that one the comments were FULL of people mentioning all the other common pet names ?? Like honey babe baby sweetheart etc ?? Is your partner just supposed to call you by your name the whole time ????????
