Imagine, just for the sake of this little thought of mine, the lyrics to Nocturne’s battle themes as something like the Demi-Fiend’s internal monologue. Particularly the Normal Battle theme, which has sort of become Demi-Fiend’s own theme, popping up whenever he does.

Demi-Fiend’s cameos are pretty much always True Demon. He has thrown away everything to become the greatest champion of Chaos, seemingly devoid of conscience and humanity, willing to sacrifice all of existence and destroy every world and every human life that ever was to spit in the face of a tyrant God.

And yet somewhere inside of him, some tiny part of him can’t take it - all the cruelty of an existence born from violence, designed in Lucifer’s image for violence, dedicated solely to perpetuating the violence of Chaos unto eternity - and that last little bit of him that hasn’t yet surrendered to the true demon, trapped inside, is screaming out “My fate is a haunted curse! PLEASE, I’M JUST A HUMAN BEING!”
