Ok but we need a part two of The Feeling where Richie and Alicia double date and y/n and carmy for kareoke

linking the feeling here for those of you who haven't read it :) it was my first work on here so i'm very attached to it lol. but here is a blurb of their date.

"She always like this?" Richie asked loudly over the music, head ducked towards Alicia's.

Alicia's eyes cut to you, on stage, singing your heart out to Like A Prayer all while pointing at Carmen suggestively. He would give a small smirk, blush when you crouched down on your knees and winked at him. The crowd loved it, the owners too, loved it when you gave the tourists and wannabe locals the energy they wanted from a karaoke place. The drunks loved it too, your biggest supporters, you'd call them with a grin.

"Oh, yeah," Alicia muttered, shaking her head at you. "You should be glad her friend Maddy isn't here. When those two get up there... it's somethin' else."

Richie snorted lightly, shaking his head. "I can't even imagine."

The crowd clapped for you, your dramatic bow making them go even wilder. You skipped over to the table, arms wrapped around Carmen's neck. "Good job, baby." Carmen muttered, pressing a kiss to your cheek.

You turned your head, kissing him sweetly, fully on his mouth. He could taste the tequila from your drink. "Thanks, Carmy." You hummed, a little tipsy and wobbly, his hands on your waist to keep you from tilting. "You're my muse, baby. That one was for you."

Carmen laughed, shaking his head at you. "Good job. You're a natural, kid. Gonna go real far." Richie teased.

"I'm a starrrrr." You sighed dramatically. "What can I say? I'm just a natural born performer."

Alicia rolled her eyes at you, sipping her drink. "And now, let's have Richie come to the stage. Richie J, come to the stage."

Richie's face fell turning to you and Carmen. "Cousin, the fuck?"

"Wasn't me." Carmen lifted his heads, looking over at you.

"It's a song you know." You gave him a shy smile.

"What- no. No. I'm not-" Richie stuttered, shaking his head.

"Oh, please, Richie. It's fun!" You whined.

"I'm not good-"

"-That's the point!" You countered, slapping your hand on the table. "Trust me, they'll love it."

Alicia looked at him, eyes batting sweetly. "I think you should go up there." She muttered with a small smile. "Give Broadway Baby a run for her money."

You cackled, leaning against Carmen. Richie huffed, his heart hammering while he downed the rest of his beer, standing while you all cheered for him.

The crowd applauded, the announcer welcoming him on stage. "Alright, let's hear it for Richie singing Shake It Off."

Richie's eyes cut to you, glaring while you cackled.

"Oh, no way." Alicia laughed. "He's a Swiftie?"

"Total Swiftie." You grinned, leaning towards her. "Told you, you'd like him." You muttered.

Alicia blushed, shaking her head at you, turning to watch Richie while the music started up.

Carmen's hand snuck around your waist, pulling you closer. "Richie's gonna kill you."

"Nah, they're gonna love him." You quipped. "Besides, if it gets him laid tonight, he won't kill me."

Carmen rolled his eyes, pressing a kiss to your head, pulling out his phone to record. No way he wasn't sending this in the group chat, especially when Richie hit the bridge high notes and the crowd went insane.

If you’re debating on whether or not to watch A Quiet Place: Day One, do yourself a favor, and go. These two are the epitome of what chemistry is and should be. They somehow made me bawl my eyes out and laugh at the same time without words—just actions. Joseph Quinn is a mf starrrrr, and I already knew it, but baby boy proved it all over again in this one. He made me fall even more in love with his beautiful self. Lupita, is obvs the best, and it doesn’t need to be said, but my girl killed it. She reminded me so much of my mom throughout this movie, and I love her for it.

i just realized that in most of my posts about ellen , or ellen and ted i never go into too much detail about the sexually codependent aspects of her character. whenever i do mention it ( when im not just being a braindead carpet muncher ) i always make it clear that i don't view that relationship with the others as consensual at all , considering shes likely tolerating the "turns" system to avoid being hurt. and likely as a way to satiate a kind of unavoidable paranoia, that they might discard her and render her as even more of an inconvenience if she doesnt comply. its a disgusting way of viewing a person. but nobody wants their luggage kicking and screaming as they get on an airplane. tangent aside. i think exploring a character through their sexuality and relationship with sex in general is so interesting!! especially for characters like ellen. but its,, lowkey hard for me to do. for numerous reasons. one, im a minor. it should be evident why this is a problem. i dont want people to think "why is that child just publicly posting smut" IM NOT!!!!!! PLEASE!!!!!!!!! I JUST WANT TO TALK ABOUT MY FAVORITE CHARACTER!!!!!!!!!!! PLEASE IM A STARRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!! two, even as a sexual assault victim. i find myself paranoid when i even imply ellen knows what sex IS. because of how much people baby and dehumanize sexual assault victims. of course it would likely have an effect on how they view sex, but the PROBLEM wasnt the SEX. IT WAS THE LACK OF CONSENT, THAT WAS THE VIOLATION. WHY ARE YOU STUPID. i also generally just feel like id be seen as twisted or gross for even having head-canons or personal interpretations of a characters. sexual attraction. in general. three, i think id talk about lesbiellen too much. which ( paranoia on full blast here ) might come across to some people as me implying that she only likes women because of her sexual trauma with men. whenNOOOO IM A STAR!!!!!! ( projecting, personal interpretations ) PLEAAAAAAAAAAASEE IM A STAAAAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! you get the point. if youre reading this and i made a post about ellens relations with sex like 2 minutes later i likely had a surge of confidence from overexplaining myself

The Mechanic

Cars. You love them. You also hate that you love them as much as you do. You’d taken over your grandfather’s small auto repair shop three years ago when the stress was too much for his body. Since then, you’ve been finding grease in places grease definitely should not be while slowly building your reputation amongst the car collectors in the greater San Diego area. You’re half under a mint-green Chevrolet Bel Air when you hear a car roll up into the shop’s lot. The engine sounds pretty good and you can hear the faint strands of music pouring out of the cab before it stops. Whoever it is will talk to your Grandad first.

Despite his ailing bones, and his trust in your abilities, your Grandad had still wanted to be involved with the shop. So the two of you had compromised. You’d do the work while your Grandad ran the front of the house. That way he could still talk to your customers about their vehicles without stressing himself out by trying to move heavy car parts. And, your grandma had shared in secret a few weeks after the arrangement started, that it got him out of the house and out of her hair!

It helped too, that your Grandad still had all of his contacts in the collectible car community. They were a godsend when you were looking for rare parts. The Bel Air, for instance that you’re under? You’d needed to source and build the entire engine from scratch and restore the exterior. The beautiful car had been rusting away in an old barn for years before the owners unearthed it and decided it needed to be restored. It was finally nearly complete and the engine purred like a kitten now that you’ve gotten it all hooked up. You are completing your final checks on the undercarriage when you feel a knock against your work boot. 

You roll out from under the truck to see your Grandad and what has to be the most beautiful man you’ve ever seen.

“Hey, kiddo. This here is Bradley Bradshaw. He’s got a 1966 Ford Bronco which he’d like to get fully restored. Bradley, this is my granddaughter. She does the actual hard work around this place.”

Your eyes widen as you look at him. He’s wearing a garish Hawaiian print shirt over a white singlet, slim-fitting jeans and boots. He’s got a pair of aviators hanging from the neck and his arms are crossed against his chest, biceps bulging alluringly. He’s so clean that it has you reaching for the rag scrunched into your pocket so you can wipe as much grease from your hands as possible. 

You proffer your slightly cleaner hand at him with a sigh, introducing yourself by name this time.

“It’s nice to meet you. A ‘66 Bronco?” You whistle through your teeth at the thought. “Do you have it here with you? I’d love to take a look under the hood first. Then we can discuss what you’d like restored and how.”

“Sure. I drove it here today.” His voice is smooth and a little raspy. If you weren’t covered in grease and other unmentionable vehicle fluids you’d have swooned into his arms.

“Great! Bring it to the lift to the right. And we’ll get her hooked and take a look.” You’re smiling your best customer service smile and trying your best to hide the way you’re drooling at the sight of his ass when your Grandad elbows you.

“Kiddo. Keep your eyes on the prize. He’s a good man. But only once you’ve fixed the car. You know the first rule.” His voice is gruff and chiding as he squeezes your fingers.

“Yeah, gramps, don’t get distracted by the clients.” Your voice in turn is dismayed and small at the admonishment.

Neither of you can calm your joy when he pulls the car up to the lift, though. It’s a gorgeous machine, cobalt blue paint glistening in the late afternoon sun. 

“She’s beautiful, kiddo. Have fun!” Waving over his head, your grandfather retreats to the air conditioned office again.

“He’s right.” Your voice is reverent as you trace the sleek curves of the car. “Can I pop the hood, Bradshaw?”

At his nod, you prop the hood open, and take a look at the engine. It’s in way better repair than you would have expected. There are a few parts here and there which don’t look like originals, but on the whole, your auditory assessment from earlier holds up. This is a well taken care of car.

“Not bad, Bradshaw. Most of this engine is original?” You’re completely in mechanic mode as you grab a clipboard and start jotting down notes.

“Yeah, this car was my dad’s. He bought it before I was born and kept it in mint condition until he died. My mom took over at that point and then when I could drive, I did the same. Obviously she’s needed a couple of replacements and ‘66 Bronco parts in good condition are hard to find.” His face is soft and sad as he looks down at the engine. This car is important to him. You’re already resolved to track down as many parts as you can. And that’s what you and Bradley Bradshaw agree to; you’ll restore the Bronco and track down as many original parts as you can.

It takes you upwards of a year to finish the project. You’ve never felt so connected to a vehicle or its history. It’s become normal for Bradley Bradshaw to pop into the shop on his days off and to just hang out by the Bronco chatting with you as you and your staff work away. It’s harder and harder for you to keep your Grandad’s first rule. But you’re not distracted. You’re falling head over heels for the gorgeous, sweet, bear of a man with such an attachment to an old truck. 

Things boil to a fever pitch the day you finally fit in the final part of the car. Bradley Bradshaw has been on a ship for the better part of the past 3 months. Your chats about the Bronco have been taking place over video call and you’re not expecting to see him for two weeks. You’re just about to close the hood and start her up when you hear a voice that makes your heart skip a beat.

“That’s one beautiful car, doll.” You can feel the heat in your face at the endearment as you whip around. Sure enough, it’s Bradley Bradshaw clad in his khaki uniform.

“Yeah, it is, isn’t it? Want to start her up?” Your smile is soft as you see the joy in his face as you toss him the keys. He’s grinning boyish and sweetly at you as he hefts his body into the front seat and turns the key. Your breath is bated as you hear the engine turn over before it finally catches. Your gasp of relief at the purring motor is shadowed only by the whoop of pure glee that pours from his mouth.

“Doll! You did it! My dad’s car! It’s perfect!” You’re smiling too when he bounces up to you and holds his hand out. You can sense an unbridled energy coursing through his veins at the thought of taking the car for a spin. But things are quiet between you as he settles the bill in the office and you go about freeing the car from your work area. It’s not until he’s pulled out into the parking lot that you hear his voice again.

“Hey, doll! Now that I’m no longer a client, I need to tell you something.” His eyes glimmer in the sunlight as he looks at you. “You’re beautiful, you know that right? Let me take you out to dinner?”

“I’m covered in grease right now, Bradshaw! If you think I’m beautiful now, let me know what you think when I’m all cleaned up!” Your voice is teasing as he winks at you.

“I’ll think you’re absolutely beautiful no matter what. The Bronco and I will pick you up on Friday at 6 pm. No grease included. Bye, doll!”

Your smile is giddy and disbelieving as you watch the most gorgeous car you've ever worked on and its owner drive off into the sunset. Friday night is going to be a lot of fun.

i love names. blair (marina stewart) and claire (marie swanson) have extremely similar names and it is a bit. i thought it’d be really funny if their names sounded alike since pixelberry wants you to believe it’s the same mc for both games (it’s not. and pixelberry is stupid). but my thought process was something like this:

blair -> blàr means both "plain" and "battlefield" in scottish gaelic which i think it’s fun. i know the plain in question is a synonym to “meadow”, but i don’t think that’s the first thing that comes to mind. it wasn’t to me at least. anyway, i think these ideas work opposite to each other. which i think it’s reflective of blair’s personality. they’ve very meek and affable but at the same time they have temper issues, especially when they’re pushed too far. bhlàir is also a traditionally masculine name in scotland, which is interesting for a highland family.

marina -> this is an anglicised form of their middle name “maired”. which would be margaret, but can also be used in english as marina. it means "from the sea", and blair comes from the sea. but it’s marina because of saint marina, also known as the great martyr marina. and there's also saint margaret of scotland -> religious themes are very present in blair’s character + i really play with the idea of them giving themselves too much for people in detriment of their own well-being. it’s a curse.

stewart -> traditional scottish surname. either guardian of the house or steward. for the latter i like the meaning of someone who takes care of. i mean it makes sense. right. berry high and stuff. and people. and they become a psychologist later on. also it makes their dad’s name james stewart.

so basically their name resumes what i wanted from their character/what they are. often, the first thing you give to a person is your name and blair doesn’t just give you their name; it’s a microcosm of everything that comes after, and what you should expect. as for claire:

claribel -> i wanted a shakespearian name, but not one of the more obvious ones; i wanted something more subtle. it would show her (and her mother's) connection to the stage. so i picked this one from the tempest, and i think it's only mentioned in passing. in french, claribel is clara + belle, bright + beautiful and yeah, that's claire. her nickname "claire" specifically means "famous" in latin.

marie -> this is a recent development! i wanted a middle name for her and harley suggested marie. in french it means "star of the sea". like blair, she was also born in the seaside. what convinced me, though, was the relation of marie to mae (mary) west, one of my inspirations when redesigning claire.

swanson -> got this from gloria swanson. at first, of course. it's an anglicised (scottish) form of a swedish surname. it may have originated as a nickname for a graceful person (like a swan. yeah. that's it). i thought it fit claire's upbringing in upper class. it also fits her kinship to blair, in a way. plus i really like how it sounds like swan song -> i don't know if i've made it obvious in my other posts, but claire has a strong theme of the obsessed artist going on.

claire is a starrrrr. every part of her name is connected to the performing arts in one way or another. it's her destiny, really. kinda like nominative determinism. you can't name your daughter famous star and not expect her to be a famous star, sorry. her dad didn't think through here.

that's it. of course, it's not exactly an A to B thing. their characters informed their names, and vice versa. i already had their personalities consolidated by the time i redesigned/renamed them, so this wasn't a hard thing to do.

momo’s doing a little better! she finally got her cone off yesterday so she’s been a little more active. still keeping a keen eye on her in case her symptoms return, but no more medication either which I’m really happy about.

life is super busy these days too 😵‍💫 work is just hitting the ground running now that it’s 2025. I think I have some new team members as well so I have a lot of new adjustments for the new year, but hopefully that’s a good thing. I’m so sorry to hear you’ve been super busy too, I guess we’re all being worked to the bone over here 🫠 BUT amazing to hear that you’re thriving!!! winter depression struck me in little waves this year, but I think things are slowly looking up again. Let’s hope it stays that way for both of us!!
