in my heart of hearts mike wheeler is absolutely an athena kid but i also have to offer up a concept that i think has extreme comedic and dramatic potential aka: repressed gay teenager mike showing up at camp half blood unsure of who his godly parent is and feeling insecure about not having powers and one day when he’s making not-so-secret heart eyes at his best friend and son of apollo will byers is when a bunch of glowing floating hearts show up above his head. and that’s how mike gets claimed by none other than aphrodite, the goddess of love and sexuality, and is in full denial about it for three days because he thinks it’s some kind of sick and twisted JOKE

(on aphrodite’s end, she’s upset mike is throwing away the gift of true love and keeps trying to trick him out of repression by making more and more improbable and hilarious gifts appear when he and will are hanging out. mike hands will a book and it turns into a box of chocolates and he has to fling it away like a frisbee before will sees it. they’re having lunch and romantic music starts playing. she gives mike the same blessing she used to claim piper and will can’t even look in his direction for a full day because he starts blushing so hard. fifty bouquets of flowers show up at the apollo cabin’s doorstep with a note that says love, mike and by the end of it, mike isn’t even repressed and unsure about his sexuality anymore — he’s just trying to not throw himself into the bonfire out of sheer embarrassment)

yaaaayayaay my dnd character literally stabbed a valued ally in the back, because she's scared and someone from a mindbogglingly powerful organization ordered her to do it or they'd do something even worse to her and her loved ones and they were an authority and she believes in authority and they gave her the perfect opportunity to do it (showing that they're Watching) so she did it and now she feels so so so guilty and she's lying to everyone about it, even her own party, her own friends, and trying to convince even herself of the lie- but on the other hand... this organization has promised her power, more power than she's ever ever had as a run-of-the-mill lower noble lady, so powerful that she might be able to use it to protect her entire realm from destruction. to be the Right ruler. and don't the ends justify the means?

So when Ahsoka was out, my family watched it with my Grandma who has like,, zero knowledge of Star Wars, but she was visiting so she was watching it with us.

Alright, skip over to today when she was helping me with laundry and she was folding a shirt I have with Ahsoka on it and she asked me, "What happened to this lady?"

First off,, I was surprised she remembered??? Because it's been months?? And she's not big into Star Wars or anything??

Anyways, I told her she got stuck on the planet with Sabine and she was like, "Oh, that's sad."

The whole time we were watching the show, she was so concerned about Ahsoka's well being because she never saw her smiling :( She was always asking, "Does this lady ever smile?" And at one point, Ahsoka did smile in the show and my grandma was so happy about it.

But I told her, "Ezra got to return home! That's what they were going for!" and that made her feel a little better.

BUT THEN her Hispanic grandma kicked in and she was suddenly VERY concerned about what Ezra had been eating while being stuck on Peridea.

I told her it was fine, it wasn't the first time he's been on his own but then that concerned her even MORE and I had to explain how Ezra has been on his own for more than half of his life and I think she was about ready to adopt him.

Okay. Give Sabine a lightsaber? Nice. I can dig it. Mandalorians have a long history of using (one particular) lightsaber to great effect regardless of Force sensitivity. Plus lightsabers are cool and I support characters being as cool as possible.

Give Sabine the FORCE suddenly in a moment of great need? When she's NEVER before even once exhibited Force sensitivity despite training with the Darksaber with Kanan and Ezra, in which situation NO ONE ever so much as suggested "hey Sabine, you might be Force sensitive"? Over 4 entire seasons of TV? When she's NEVER before even once exhibited Force sensitivity despite apparently training with Ahsoka for some time? No. That's coolness over continuity, and it's sloppy.

I’m the odd one out, I’ve been here the least amount of time and I don’t even add anything important to the group. You all have something, I’m just the girl who speaks different languages and rambles too much for her own good,” she pauses, taking a deep breath to stop the burning in her lungs. “I don’t wanna lose you guys because you guys are all great and you’re my best friend in the world but it’s—it’s a feeling I can’t shake. Like I’m waiting for the other shoe to drop and this has been one big joke or—do you remember last summer? What I said right before we got truth serumed?”

She wouldn’t blame him if he didn’t remember, getting drugged and then the…everything else after that, but she can see his brows thread together, trying to sift through his own memories of last summer—tied together in chairs thinking they were both going to die in that stupid, stupid mall. He shakes his head. The familiar numbness takes over Robin; a detachment. Hollow. She plays with her rings.

“My whole life feels like one big error,” she repeats, in the same intonation as she had that night. She laughs, wryly, ignoring the burn of tears behind her eyes. Steve’s face drops, eyes softening. Robin can’t look at him.

“Rob,” he says, placing his hands over hers. His voice is wet when he speaks. “You aren’t an error, Robin.”

“It just feels like—”

“No, Robin,” Steve says firmly. “You’re right, I don’t really know how you feel. I don’t know what that’s like. But I know that you aren’t an error. You aren’t the odd one out."

Completely unrelated thought but I've always loved just how ironic Wicked's opening is. "No one mourns the wicked" SAYS THE WOMAN WHO HAS BEEN MOURNING HER DEATH EVER SINCE

Like just the complete irony of the song where Glinda keeps trying to emphasize to the people that no one cares about the wicked witch of the west while simultaneously being the sole person to continue to tell her best friend's story, not only to the world of oz but also to herself because she realizes she is the only one who is mourning this loss. She is the only one who knows most of the truth beneath the various amount of lies people have made for Elphaba for years and years. But alas, she must play this part to the very end and live a lie, unlike Elphaba who embraced and accepted herself a long time ago

I'm guessing the movie will cut Maysilee having a sister due to Madge being absent from the original films & if so, I wonder how that will affect the Mockingjay pin origins or if they'll completely remove the fact that it originally belonged to her.

Omg, the film could use the same reaping dress (or more likely a replica) for teen Miss Everdeen that they used for Katniss as it is said to be something that belonged to her mother during her time as a Merchant, in the original series.

Can't believe we might finally learn Katniss's parents' names lol.

Omg, do you think they'll at least hint at the baker/apocathery/hunter love triangle?

Oh (no hate to Woody Harrison but) young Haymitch is gonna be white, isn't he? Well, at least they could let him have black hair. & that wouldn't nessaryly even break movie cannon. All they'd need is to have a scene showing/implying that the stylists are gonna dye his hair after he ends up winning the games. The movie could even create an in-universe reason (outside of the Capitol citerzens just thinking it looked better). Such as with blonde people in 12, not coming from the Seam. Snow views it as the perfect subtle punishment to help Haymitch feel a loss of cultural identity by separating him from his community (now that he looks & lives more like a Merchant).

Hope the movie won't try to appeal to Hayffee/Effie stans by adding unnecessary scenes of them getting close, as if Haymitch didn't have a whole ass girlfriend while Effie would be nose deep in Capitol propaganda at that point in time.

Everyone who's saying it's gonna be weird to find Haymitch hot is weak. I was attracted to Woody Harrelson in a wig.

Don't know if this is at all realistic/accruate, but this is how I'd want the movie to end. Haymitch, back in 12. Maybe waking up in his new house after being sedated (due to him losing it after his last interview). Him desperately trying to find out where his family/GF is after discovering his old house empty (left there as a reminder), his GF's family not opening the door & everyone seemingly too nervous to speak to him. Till he eventually ends up on the Everdeen's doorstep (where Miss Everdeen is being comforted) & they explain what happened as best as they can. Then, after he returns to his new home, he gets a phone call from Snow bassically telling him that he should have behaved himself, leading him to rip the phone out of the wall before completely trashing the place. When he eventually wakes up, Hazelle is cleaning up the mess (he forgot to lock the front door). She tries to talk to him about applying alcohol (she was given by miss Everdeen) to the wounds he sustained from smashing up the place & about his girlfriend (as I could imagine the two having been friends as I can only see Haymitch's GF being from the Seam), but he tells her to get out before he starts drinking the alcohol right from the bottle, with a voice over of older Haymitch saying the line 'there's survivors, there's no winners'. Or something along those lines.

Maybe that's too fanficy, though lol.

very few 'parenting' things frustrate me more than parents who give their screaming kids an ipad, but I think "emotionally neglectful for 20 years and then wondering why their kid isn't thriving/adjusting to adulthood well, so they try to make up for it by being an overbearing helicopter parent" might take the cake.
