#SGI MAP

Note
Hello, lovely! I love seeing your gameplay posts as your sims live in NorthBend. Would you be willing to share a list of lots in your North Bend Save similar to how SGI Real Estate had done for Saint Greer please?
Hi there!
Going to answer this publicly since others might want to know my process.
Thank you! 😊 Starting out it's honestly not any different than @eisfee posted here -> https://eisfee.tumblr.com/post/704267430450626560/north-bend-lots-list and @purplellama https://purplellama.tumblr.com/tagged/purple+llama+downloads/page/2
Maybe a few lots I didn't use or changed later. I started out by putting all of Purplellama's lots down. They tell you what lot number/street to put them on and whatever was left is what I filled in from Eisfee's lot list. I didn't use the MTS lots as those aren't my taste and I knew I wanted to edit them all eventually.
I'm still working on community lots. So eventually when I'm finished I'll try and get around to doing a final map with pictures of all the lots.

I’ve updated the Saint Greer Island map with where the lots released should go so we can keep track. It also helps other creators making lots now which space are available and also what they don't have to create.
Also please reblog to share with Community and feel free to add lots if you are going to RELEASE PUBLICLY
Download World & Image by @gruesim(simplyimaginarypeople)
? = Lots not released yet but have pictures
Also, I have 2 maps above, 1 with the lot address and the other with the lot sizes. Check Map for locations.

Tall Starter - cc free.
I have the last year been working on populating the stunning map of Saint Greer Islands. And last night it dawned on me, I could perhaps share a couple of my personal builds. So here I am, with the first one I decided to share. Info: A small starter home for a single or a couple. 10x15 lot Cost: 26,799 - so a little above budget perhaps, but you could delete some things from the lot if you want a true starter below budget, or ask motherlode for help ;) Placed on 2 Sunflower Gardens in SGI but you can place it on whatever map you desire. No building cheats. No cc, only EA objects. I have all expansion packs, and some stuff packs, but if I used items from a pack you don’t have, the game will automatically replace it with something else. Play tested, everything worked fine on my end. No editing or reshade, what you see is what you get. Package File - Place it in your library folder. Do with it as you please, no TOU. Download - (SFS) Have fun! (If there’s any issues, feel free to contact me, I’ll do my best to help.)

Intern’s lunch
The article on affirmations suggests adopting one already out there. Like a stray dog. I can climb this mountain. Or vintage clothing. I am enough just as I am. But nothing seems to fit this emaciated frame with xxs ego.
It's the summer of '13. August is the hottest month. And the cruelest. At the corner of E14th & 5th I stand in the heat haze, lusting after a bulgogi burrito with an angst of teenage proportions. Zit-inducing. I am doing better than I think I am.
One mustn’t discount the effort, I picture the article-writer saying, nothing comes for free. We do pay for strays and old clothes now. However, they are discounted.
The food trucks are getting pricier, like starlets after breakthrough roles. Today is going to be my best day. Break a leg! my actor-waiter friend insists on saying. Is it an affirmation? Can being jinxed somehow render us charmed?
If my life was more interesting, small things would matter less. I will focus on being present over perfect. I’m tiny cog in swish wheel launching fancy coffee table books. This month it’s ‘Paragons of Country Chic’ or some such. My heart hurts when I see all those glossy spreads of gaping rooms, packed stables.
I can’t see myself beholden to a bunch of words. “nam-myoho-renge-kyo” chant the SGI devotees – a soap opera’s worth of emotions hidden behind the placid smiles of the god-minded.
They meet off Union Square, a block from the Flatiron building. Flatiron – could be a good affirmation: I will flatiron the day – meaning, I will unfold it and lay it out like a 2D map, so it’s easier to process.
Cruelest month? Depends where you're at. Maybe the final words of Eliot’s lament are affirmation fit for this Hyper Real City, where no one has time to decipher what the thunder's saying, and we’re never at peace. The Wasted Land.
The sky looks a little further away each day. That's the bargain you make when you give a city your soul. My dreams are happening now. My cronut smells like sunburnt dreams.

is there any chance you could upload your save files? or at least your SGI one? my pc can handle anything so it being overloaded doesn't really matter to me haha. i love the island but i have no motivation to fill it with lots on my own ;_;
Hello there, my splendiforous Nonny! Thank you for taking some time out of your day to ask me this question :)
Now as to uploading my save files...
One (AKA Me) does not simply do that, especially when it's full of random and unfinished projects, items placed down that I plan on using in the future but forgot about, etc. Trust me, I only show the places that I feel happy about. There are a LOT of unfinished lots that I started and simply have been too lazy to work on so yeah :/
While I won't upload a whole world file (and let me just say this: THANK YOU SO MUCH for liking my project enough to even ask this! You are just the sweetest person ever :D) my plan is to upload every single lot I create for Saint Greer and make a little map of sorts that points out where they all are supposed to go. That way, all you'd have to do is download the empty SGI and place my lots down in it. I know that's not the same as a world file but it's the best I can do :)

Helping track and reduce COVID-19 infections in Northeast Brazil
A combination of thermal drones, artificial intelligence, and mathematical modeling is helping scientists track and reduce the spread of COVID-19 in Northeast Brazil: one of a series of ongoing, innovative coronavirus research initiatives being carried out by UCL and scientists in Brazil.
Working with scientists at Pernambuco Institute for Risk & Disaster Reduction (IRRD-PE) and the COVID SGIS initiative, which are affiliated with Federal University of Pernambuco, they have developed sophisticated prediction and mapping tools using AI machine-learning which, combined with thermal drone imaging and COVID-infection hospital data, is enabling the team to predict where the virus will spread next. This information gives early warning to public health authorities and local communities.
To accomplish this goal the IRRD-PE cooperates closely with the Pernambuco State Government and the state capital's City of Recife Council.
Professor Kostkova, of the UCL IRDR Center for Digital Public Health in Emergencies, who is formally advising the IRRD-PE, has been working with the UFPE on developing early-warning tools, using mobile surveillance technology, to predict the movements and dynamics of mosquito populations in Northeast Brazil in order to combat Zika virus.
"Our specific objective is to ensure that all data from geolocation mapping, mass gatherings estimates from thermal drone cameras, and lab confirmed cases of COVID-19 infection, are effectively used in almost real-time," she said.
According to researchers the unique modeling tool they have developed is rapidly gaining international recognition.

Scope of Python
Python is one of the most prevalent coding languages of 2015. Alongside with being a high-level and general-purpose programming language, Python is also an object-oriented and open source. It is one of the fastest-growing languages and has undergone a successful span of more than 25 years as far as its adoption is concerned. This success also reveals a promising future scope of python programming language. It has been continuously serving as the best programming language for application development, web development, game development, system administration, scientific and numeric computing, GIS and Mapping, etc. Apart from being an open-source programming language, it is also one of the most versatile programming languages. Did you comprehend that there exists one phenomenally basic information efficient device which has been an essential piece of the thoroughly seen web look for instruments, Google? It is the Python programming language which has commonly anticipated an imperative situation in the space of information assessment. Since its start, Python has been a basic piece of Google's consolidated server and it keeps making progress with it and advances then. Truth be told, even today, Google's certified ace experts use Python and their HR pack is continually cautious for more authorities who can work with this information sensible instrument. Python has been voted for the most favorite programming language of all time. It is undoubtedly beating other programming languages.
Here are some features of Python that can project the reasons why it has become so popular.
1. Python Has A Rich And Supportive Community
Most of the other programming languages have support issues. Also, some of them lack documentation which makes it difficult for a programmer to build his project. Python doesn’t have these issues. It has been around for a long time, so there is plenty of documentation, tutorials, guides, and much more to help a programmer. Also, it has an active and rich community that ensures to provide help and supports to the developers. The community consists of many experienced developers and programmer who provides support at any time.
2. Easy To Code And Write Python has a simple and readable code as compared to other programming languages like Java, C, or C++. The code is expressed in an easy manner which can be simply interpreted even by a beginner programmer. Although to master Python programming, it will require a lot of effort and time, but to learn this language from scratch is easy for a novice. Even looking at the code he can tell what the code is supposed to do.
3. Open-Source And Availability Python is an open-source programming language that means its source code is publically available. You can either modify or use its code directly.
4. Standard Library Python comes with a huge standard library. These libraries eliminate the effort to write a function or code. The library consists of many inbuilt functions and pre-written codes, so you don’t have to write a code for every single thing. This contains expressions, unit-testing, web browsers, databases, threading, and much more.
Top Companies Embracing Python Programming Language
Not only small companies but even top companies are using Python as their business application development. Even the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) is using Python to maintain their websites.

SGI High IMPACT Graphics (1995)
SGI Indigo2 IMPACT systems were the best workstations for game development and other activities involving textured 3D rendering in 1995. My system is equipped with High IMPACT Graphics, which is a two-card solution with a dedicated geometry engine (one million triangles/s), raster engine with two pixel processors (two pixel per cycle, 60-70 textured Mpixels/s), 12MB of pixel memory and a single texture-mapping unit with its own 1MB of texture memory.
The high-end option was called Maximum IMPACT Graphics. It took three slots in the computer and doubled the rasterisation performance by using exactly the same principle that was later used by 3Dfx Voodoo2 SLI (scan line interleaving).
The 3D performance of SGI Indigo2 IMPACT was years ahead of PCs and other workstations. In fact, 3Dfx Voodoo2, the best gaming 3D accelerator for PCs in 1998, had similar performance to High IMPACT graphics but unlike the IMPACT series, it didn’t support windowed rendering, 32-bit color precision and high resolutions.
The last two photos show Indigo2 IMPACT systems during the development of Final Fantasy VII (source: Sony press kit).
GPUbench results - compare the SGI Maximum IMPACT performance with other 3D accelerators of the same era.

I feel like both the extreme left and the extreme right have almost the same basic views about religion.
Placeholder for weird issues I have with Tumblr horseshoe theory culture’s take on religion and how while yes you can do it badly (like a majority of white Buddhists I’ve sat with in any Buddhist group but SGI, sorry to say), most of Tumblr’s viewpoints about religion *completely* identify religion with broader social identities and *completely* invalidate personal choices or beliefs.
I.e. Tumblr just doesn’t grasp how complicated identity is in real life, including religious identity.
So, basically, this is what it boils down to: * Buddhists: okay this is really complicated. The problem is that the most visible white Buddhists, are the most problematic ones. Chances are, if a white Buddhist is NOT problematic, you don’t even know they’re a Buddhist. There is lots of critique of Buddhism out there (from me as an ex-Buddhist, but also from prominent Asian bloggers). Unfortunately, Tumblr can’t do nuance, and always has the most dumbed down possible takes on stuff, and tries to read “NO YOU CANNOT” into stuff that was supposed to be sat with, analyzed, absorbed. * Muslims: Tumblr confuses Islam with a race. In the US, for real, this is complicated. To most white Americans, Muslims are Arabs (and sometimes from Pakistan or Afghanistan) and no other kinds of Muslims exist. But this isn’t how Islam actually works. * Atheists: a couple of visible atheists are big assholes, so that means all atheists are assholes, right? The irony is that for people who claim to hate religion so much, the same people hate atheism and atheists more than they actually hate Christians. * Pagans: I guess I have a lot of feelings about this because I have a VERY long adjacence to this community. Literally every other person in my life, and almost all of my found-family, since age 14, has been some kind of pagan. My life partner is Asatru. He is NOT open about it - BECAUSE of the stereotype that all pagans, but *especially* Asatru, are white supremacists. Here is the thing: the only actually acceptable pagans are the straw pagans you bring up when you want to accuse an author or Etsy seller of being appropriative. But real life pagans are definitely NOT acceptable: when it comes to religious liberty causes, pagans fail at respectability politics. It’s a case where it’s such a hot potato of an identity that probably, the “respectable” people that would do it, who probably comprise a greater number of them than you’d ever know, are not going to admit to being pagan. There is probably no way to do respectability politics and be pagan because being pagan by itself makes you non-respectable. At best, pagans are seen as a subculture (like nerds or goths) and not a broader religious community. Generally, they’re assumed to be uneducated and gullible (it’s okay with Tumblr to have supernatural beliefs as long as they’re the most common ones that the mainstream already accepts or can be mapped to some broader social institution). A big issue is that like atheism, paganism is seen as opt-in. Religion is tied up with identity to a lot of Tumblrians and by definition, identity is something you cannot opt into, and anything you DID opt into, is by definition invalid. * Jews: Sigh. Do I even want to go into this, being a Jew and all? First of all, it’s somewhat more okay for white people to convert to Judaism than it is to other religions besides Christianity, but this is only because Judaism is seen as a flavor of hegemonic whiteness and not because a majority of Tumblr leftists remotely get what Judaism is about, or care about Jews or Jewish history, or even REMOTELY care about anti-Semitism. But in reality, we’re mainly good for the wokeness points we can supply. Jews are another group where people really only care about us when they can use us as a “Straw Jew.” The moment you don’t consent to this you get to see how unconsciously anti-Semitic a lot of people really are. (Like asking us about our national loyalties the moment you know we’re Jewish. Like THAT’S never been done before to any minority group.) I’m not sure where agnosticism fits into this, but I’m not sure it’s parsed as a thing beyond being the thing you say you are when you want to avoid religious arguments. The irony is that people don’t really bring up Christianity *that* much in these discussions, except for people who come from religious backgrounds and are mad at Christianity for specific reasons. I remember a Tumblr meme that went around that basically said, “if you’re white, the only religions you get to practice are Christianity or Judaism. That’s it.” And that seems to reflect what a lot of Tumblrians actually seem to believe.

We worked really hard on this. It was one of the first fully 3-D animated and texture mapped music videos. Believe it or not, it was groundbreaking at the time.
