Like basically the correct order to watch because I see there's side stories like Mithzan origins and Sky's group and then theres other povs or smth

DreamSMP vs Crafting Dead

I just had an epiphany this morning and I really hope this hasn��t been said already. If you watched the older content creators on YouTube, please stick around. The DreamSMP is popular because so many content creators make an appearance on there, interact with each other, make skins matching their story and all have their own storyline that involves each other. It’s BIG and gets a lot of hype. Almost ‘never seen before’ kind of stuff. But it has been seen before. Who do you think those creators watched growing up?

Those of us who watched the older content creators have seen this before. Crafting Dead was a modded version of Minecraft to make the game more like the Walking Dead. Quite a few content creators jumped on the game and created their own storylines. Later down the road, they started to interact with each other and collab, combining all the storylines together. 

It was SUPER cool! Some of these creators that I watched were SkyDoesMinecraft, SGC Barbierian, Shark, FavreMySabre, Aphmau, UniComics, Ross, GhettoGamer, NewScapePro, and so many more. 

AND, this wasn’t the only one, either. FallOut was another one that had creators collabing and creating storylines together.

I wish these were hyped just as much as the DreamSMP. However, maybe the Crafting Dead and FallOut and so many others can be the little golden era for those of us who watched and waited for each episode to come out.

Now I know what I’m going to be rewatching for the next several hours.

Please, most Joeloved (Joel Beloved) tell me where I can watch the forbidden Crafting Dead Origins you have mentioned? Is there a specific person or channel that I should be looking for instead of just google searching ‘crafting dead origins’? I am holding my hands out and asking like a poor Victorian begger child for you to perhaps spare me a new series to watch

OKAY SO. I'm talking specifically about The Crafting Dead by SGC Barbierian, but not the main series because there's 2 people included in that series that turned out to be Shit Human Beings. I'm talking abt Crafting Dead: Origins "Max's Story", which is the only origins story for any of the characters and has a whopping 5 episodes that are like less than 20 minutes each

Max as in Mithzan, btw. Also, Shelby Shubble voices a news anchor in it! They're both in the main storyline as well. SGC plays a character in CD:O that is never again seen in the main story! So basically at the end of CD:O is the last time he's ever seen and you can make inferences based off that

Please watch it . You don't need to watch the main series to be able to understand the side series. I mean, the opening has Max saying "I wasn't always like this", which is referring to the fact that the way he acts in the main series implies a lot of mental illness, but that's all you need. And he's in a church in the opening because that's where he was last seen in the main story iirc

Also this thing is 5 years old and discontinued, so where it ends is where it ends.

THERE IS STRONG LANGUAGE USED. Not cursing, but words like "psych*path"

OKAY SO THE MAIN SERIES HAS A LOT OF EPISODES BUT THEY'RE LITERALLY ALL LESS THAN 20 MINS AND MOST OF THEM ARE UNDER 10 MINS! They're in a playlist and should show up as the first search for "The Crafting Dead SGC Barbierian"

THE SIDE SERIES IS 5 EPISODES ALL UNDER 20 MINS but they're not in a playlist. You can find it by just searching "the crafting dead origins", it should have Max as a thumbnail for the first episode, and they'll usually show up in order in the little recommended tab for more videos

Warnings for it though: it includes cannibalism, along with the fact that there are people in the series that were later exposed to be Bad People In General irl. It's also 2010s mcyt, and there is harmful language used in some instances (such as psych*path used demeaningly) There are guns as well and there is a scene where a child character dies in a building explosion. I can find the exact episode for that one if you need me to!

OKAY SO

Marcus specifically is from a 5 episode spinoff and he is dead but I am attached to him so he’s not actually dead because I say so. Also Max is literally Mithzan Max btw .

So they’re from a series called The Crafting Dead by SGC Barbierian, which is a 5+ year old mcrp about zombie apocalypses and also gay people except it was made by cishet men so it wasn’t intentional, but there were no straight people in that series in the slightest I am telling you this.

Max, when met by the main cast (WHICH INCLUDES SHELBY SHE WAS THERE TOO!! They found her in a dead town iirc and she was just vibing lmao) he’s very not okay mentally but he’s balling so they’re like “ok . new guy in the party ?? sort of??” He keeps running off. Also he reminds me of Sausage. The series was discontinued, so there was probably more to Max as a character but . discontinued . The point is, the last place they saw him was in a church and he vanished soon after and the main cast had to run because bad guys showed up (the people that made the virus)

So there’s the background, now for Marcus and Max ! The spinoff (The Crafting Dead: Origins “Max’s Story”) starts with Max standing in the same church we last saw him in, and he’s chopping something up on the altar, probably a zombie idk. He says something along the lines of not always being like this, how he felt like he was a whole new person since the apocalypse started, how maybe he really was a different person now, and then we go into his backstory.

WHICH is told from someone else’s point of view!!!!! And it’s not really a backstory, it’s more of a days-leading-up-to-the-end-of-the-world thing. Same thing

So it’s told from Marcus’s point of view! They were roommates! They had been for a number of years! They had a pet bird together and his name was Devin :-)

So the story starts with the news playing, something about a flu virus ect ect, Max turns off the tv and talks about wanting macaroni, Marcus is like “hey I ate ur last macaroni but i’ll buy you more if you get vaccinated.” and it’s like watching someone trick their pet into going to the vet for like five minutes and incredibly funny

So there’s no macaroni at the store and the hospitals are all too crowded, so they just go back home, but their neighbor is . infected. His eyes are solid red and he’s literally dead on his feet and Marcus and Max just kind of go back to their apartment and try to call an ambulance for him because Max lost his phone ~2 weeks ago and Marcus left his at home.

They’re calling 911, they get hung up on, and they just go to their neighbor’s apartment to check on him again. They break in, his bedroom is covered ceiling to floor in blood, they go to get out of the apartment, he shows up and he ends up biting Max. Max, in retaliation, grabs a knife and kills him.

Marcus suggests they go get help while agreeing and even suggesting fabricating the story of self defense. Their entire building has been locked down and surrounded by various different emergency response teams at this point btw. They go to the second floor because the elevator doesn’t go down to the first floor for some reason, and they’re looking over the balcony and they see another neighbor of theirs acting the same as the first. Instead of helping her, the surrounding responders kill her. Max and Marcus realize that they’re just going to kill the entire building off to get rid of the virus because they think it’s only in the one building (it’s not).

Max suggests they run away, then backpedals and is like “No, I don't have time. You do. You can still run.” Marcus calls him on his bullshit and they decide to both escape together. They make a plan to escape through steam tunnels in the basement and make a break for it !

They do make it out. They don’t get very far, and Marcus is still focused on wanting to get help for Max. Instead of the hospital, they plan to find a pharmacy because they know that the inner part of the city is probably still dangerous and people might be looking for them.

Along the way, they split up for literally 5 seconds and Max gets cornered by another zombie. Marcus hears him and runs to find him. Max tosses the knife (because he’s Max and decided to keep it in his back pocket somehow?? Cleaver in the pocket , expect the unexpected) to Marcus and Marcus kills the zombie. He is having multiple panic attacks and has been since this whole thing started, and I know it’s minecraft but it is implied that Max had to pry the knife out of his hands and that’s what the drawing was

So they keep going, but it’s getting late and they break into a house to sleep for the night. They're polite about it though and they do make sure it’s actually empty first ! Also the town is like capital D dead, everyone in the inner city and outer houses are dead, no one is there and the only people they’ve seen outside of their apartment building since they ran were zombies and this one guy in the pharmacy that’s like “ooo ur friend is gonna kill you ooooo ur gonna die so bad”

Max barricades himself in the bedroom and when Marcus goes “Ok, I’ll check on you in the morning” Max goes “No, you’re not. If I don’t open this door, you leave without me. If I am dead in the morning, you leave without me.” because this is the first night since Max got bit and they’re not sure he Will wake up in the morning. He does !!

They keep moving, but they turn back to the hospital now because Max really does need help and he can’t feel the bite anymore. He’s acting fine, but he can’t feel it anymore, like it wasn’t there in the first place. So to the hospital they go!

It is abandoned. They poke around for 20 minutes exactly before someone catches them. A guy in a hazmat suit (completely alone) gets Max to walk over to him, and then syringes him with Something that knocks him out. Marcus freaks out and then the hazmat guy gets him too.

They wake up in a sealed room. There are doors, but they don’t open. There’s a wall with a window in it that shows an observation room. When a scientist (the one that we later find out created the virus in the main series) walks in, Max starts yelling and demanding answers. The scientist turns around and the screen goes black.

Anyway, it’s implied that Max escaped, because he’s in a completely different town when the main cast finds him, and Marcus is never seen or mentioned again. Also the scientist is played by Ross, which I find hilarious

And that’s Max and Marcus! And the bird was yellow so I'm saying it was a canary for symbol reasons .
