‣ MUNDAY: APPRECIATION POST ↴
Continuing with our new little tradition, I would like this Munday to be dedicated to Mari. As many of our members know, Mari has taken up the helm of doing our weekly activity checks. Without her, SABR would have had to close because my academic schedule, teaching, and job impact my amount of free time to run this group, let alone be on the dash. Activity checks take hours, usually between six and eight depending on the size of the group and number of people on hiatus. Her commitment to keeping the group active and running is not unseen or unappreciated. Thank you for your continued hard work and commitment to this community and for working so hard to balance admin duties and your amazing characters, as well as for always being there for us to talk to. Honestly, the amount of advice you have given all of us in the nearly five years we have been open has been invaluable. You continue to encourage us to do research and put our best work forward. Thank you!
Lots of love and happy writing! - Admin NatBat

I’m doing great, and I’m glad to be back home, even if I did just leave one of the most beautiful places on this earth. I’m looking for some interesting things to do with the remainder of my free time. What about you? Any plans now that you have some free time of your own?
Where were you? I think I’m going to spend some quality time with my daughter and my Mom. I might go exploring a little, but I thought the Zoo might be a great place for us to check out and elephants are always cool!

Samaira & Micah
samaira-ambani:
I would not complain! I think you’ve earned a night of take out after traveling. What kind of take out are we talking about? Not that I’m picky, mind you.
Good! If anyone complained I would pull the birthday boy card... it works for my daughter.
I was thinking Jim Dandy’s for fried chicken or Bludso’s for barbecue. What do you think?

Genaya & Samaira
@samaira-ambani:
Congratulations on returning to work. As for the Jonas brother bit, I do find it rather interesting how the media assume relationships so quickly based off of almost nothing. I’m guessing Connor is your boyfriend, what does he do for a living?
Nick and I have met only once but I worked with Joe on one of my singles. We’ve performed together before. People read too much into things. Connor is a cop so I do my best to keep any information about our relationship private so it doesn’t get in the way of his job.

Samaira & Tomlin
samaira-ambani:
I was off in Hawaii with my family, but I don’t think that you’ve missed too much. It seems like a lot of people took vacations these past two weeks. I’m sorry about the jetlag, I wish I knew a better remedy than trying to keep yourself awake until it’s time to sleep during the usual hours of the place you’re in. Have you tried some form of meditation, or calming exercise, like yoga? That usually helps me relax.
I’d probably look like a drunken idiot if I tried yoga. I’ve not been to the doctors for my insomnia. Staying awake days on end is better than what I see when I sleep. I just don’t like the jetlagged feeling of tiredness, it’s a beast of its own. How was Hawaii?

Selene & Samaira
@samaira-ambani
We haven’t met, but I always feel like spring cleaning somehow feels good for the soul. I like to get rid of things that aren’t necessary, or become clutter.
I am the opposite in many ways, I like to hold onto fleeting pieces of memory or half remembered thoughts. It was quite hard to clear the decks of them but something that was needed. You are right, it was good for the soul. I don’t think I have seen you around here before, I’m Selene, it’s lovely to meet you.

Samaira experiences a sleep paralysis dream... or is it?
‣ NIGHTMARE ↴
Samaira never realized she was asleep. She was listening to the sound of the wind rustling in the trees and assuming the footsteps outside her door were the other girls in her cabin. All it took was a blink and the footsteps got louder. Was that her door creaking open? As she pulled her blanket higher she felt a weight on her legs and when she looked down it wasn’t her roommates sitting there but a ghostly child with a menacing smile. As soon as she looked away she felt the hot breath of a woman now looking down at her. The room felt crowded and though she tried to call for help she fainted…
‣ SLEEP PARALYSIS ↴
When Samaira woke up the walls of her bedroom seemed to close in on her. She was certain that the faces were not only still there but coming closer. Could the reason that she couldn’t pull up her blanket over her head be because of the child at the foot of the bed or was she truly just that she couldn’t shake herself out of the sleep paralysis?
‣ AFTERMATH ↴
When Samaira’s sleep paralysis breaks she’s too scared to run and hides under her blankets. The sun is up before she gets up. Will she go back in her room? Will she ask to share one of the other rooms or swap? Whatever she chooses, Samaira will be certain that around her cabin in the dark morning hours, she can still hear the rapid pitter patter of a child’s footsteps or that there’s a woman walking across the hall that just couldn’t pass for one of the other girls she was bunking with.

‣ PUENTE CABIN ↴
This cabin will be the vacation destination for Darla, Blossom, Samaira, and Fallon. This four bedroom, three and a half bathroom is a modern take on the log cabin. With large windows, this treehouse-like cabin juts out over a cliff. The excellent views and amenities are perfect for parties or relaxation. With an amazing indoor and outdoor sound system, theater, and jacuzzi, there is no doubt that a great time to be had at Puente Cabin. Around this cabin, there are hiking trails, cliff diving, and zip lining, but it is also just a short bike ride to other cabins and the beach. The guests of Puente Cabin are provided with all-terrain bicycles for transportation, if they wish to join in on the itineraries’ activities.

‣SABR AUV: CITW: DEATH NOTICE ↴
The night started for Samaira as it had since the first night, in terror. She waited for the ghostly woman and child to enter her room. When the creaking began, however, it was quickly met with screams. Those screams would belong to Fallon, who had gone to check on Samaira and Darla, who had gone to help the screaming Fallon. The disarray and blood in the hall showed definite signs of a struggle. Samaira’s footprints would be found moving through the mess down the blood that had flooded the cabin stairs, into the kitchen and then to the deck. When Blossom found her she couldn’t get her roommate to tell her what was wrong and when she went into the house to call for help she discovered the blood on the stairs. As soon as she ascended just a few she was met with a similarly violent end. Though none of the bodies of Puente cabin’s lodgers were found, Samaira’s bloody footprints caused crime scene investigators to believe she killed them. Though there was evidence of a weapon used to kill them. Perhaps if they had the bodies they would have known that the bruising on the bodies didn’t match Samaira’s small hands.

Blossom’s decision to check on the woman on the deck, Fallon’s decision to check on the woman roaming the halls, and Octavian’s reaction to freeze have all resulted in their deaths. Subsequently, their actions and deaths have triggered the death of everyone left in Puente and Mason cabins.
Death Notices will post at 5 pm EST.

Blossom hears the story...
‣ BONFIRE STORY ↴
As creeped out as Blossom may have been by the cabin story Fallon heard, it was the story about the gold rush that really made her reluctant about the trip back to Puente cabin. A group of men had allegedly been on an island in California, using a hydraulic method of panning for gold when a minor earthquake caused a landslide off the mountain. They were buried alive, but as the story goes, their corpses clawed and dug their way out of the dirt and water so that they could get help and send a message to their families. Trapped on the island, their corpses roamed the woods for a way off the island and they attacked visitors as they tried to inhabit their bodies and to get back home. The story went on to add that those that were attacked became obsessive about the island, either refusing to leave or they would sit in a catatonic state for hours staring into the woods.
‣ PUENTE CABIN ↴
Puente cabin was meant to be one of the best hangouts on the island, but the girls didn’t really know each other. So, as they moved around the cabin in the middle of the night it wasn’t taken to be more than a cabin mate’s bad sleeping habits. Then, if a roommate was sitting out on the deck with a cup of tea, it was chalked up to be relaxing or bird watching. Until Blossom heard those stories she wasn’t checking on her roommates.
‣ CHOICES ↴
Will Blossom check on her roommates?

Fallon hears a scary bonfire story
‣ BONFIRE STORY ↴
A group of college students had decided to go to a local lake in the mountains for their Spring Break, getting out of town for some time with their friends. As their week went on, they partied all night and slept for most of the day. It was all fun and games until some of the couples started fighting. So and so thought they saw so and so walking into another person’s room. So and so thought they heard the bed squeaking or screams from down the hall. That’s how it went until everyone seemed to have swapped rooms.
On their last night, everyone seemed ready to reconcile and decided to talk about what they’d seen and heard as a group. All the bumping, thumping, screaming. Then things got weird, then all swore they’d seen the same things, a dark haired woman in a white night gown going into a room. All the girls that had seen this “woman” had light hair and accused their dark haired friends. A little creeped out it seemed they had discovered there was a ghost in their cabin.
After a few more drinks they headed inside to play some games. The night died down, most people too creeped out to go upstairs, the group fell asleep in the living room. Then they heard it, the same walking around upstairs, the thumping and what sounded like a muffled yell. Thump. Thump. Thump. The ghost was on the move. They could hear the doors opening and closing, the floor boards creaking. With a few nudges, the sleepers were woken up by their terrified companions and with some liquid courage, a few decided to investigate.
When the group didn’t turn up to their classes their professors thought they may have overdone Spring Break or taken a few extra days to party. After a few days, concerned professors and parents reached out to police and they were sent to the cabin. The place was an absolute bloodbath, bodies hacked apart and their faces frozen in contorted screams. With every member of the group accounted for and no evidence of another person present the crime remained unresolved. What the locals didn’t talk about and the police of that town in the mountain refused to believe, was that there was any connection to an identical murder in the very same cabin.
‣ PUENTE CABIN ↴
After the first night at Puente Cabin, Samaira looked less and less rested. Fallon thought she caught her roaming the halls of the cabin late at night, but Samaira didn’t complain and tell them what she saw on the first night in the cabin…and she would never be able to.
‣ CHOICES ↴
Will Fallon check on Samaira when she hears the pacing in the hall?
… To Be Continued.
