Thane, hello dear, lovely to see you as well. It’s good to learn you’ve been well. However, I will attempt a tiny argument that being a hermit has it’s perks sometimes. I’m sure especially with your profession, decompressing has to be a very welcome process I would venture. My schedule is open aside from Saturday, so you let me know whatever day and time works best for you —- I would love to chat and over those much needed drinks. Maybe we can go horseback riding, same day or another that you have time.

I am very happy to announce that I am settled in and simply relaxing after a long battle with unpacking what felt like millions of boxes. A person doesn’t realize how much they accumulate after so long, am I right?

For those of you who may have not heard the news just yet, I have to say -- with great sadness -- that my gorgeous apartment is on the hunt for a sublet as I have moved in with Thane. There is still half a year left on the lease with it ending on the last day of June, and I have to say that it’s a wonderful place to live. I did, after all, call it home for many, many years.

I couldn’t possibly tell you that you were not allowed because my brother keeps a bunch of them in his sanctuary, and I am always thinking that I need a dog of my own. I miss my family dog, but my parents keep him, so I’ve got none. No, I’m afraid I’ll be the little voice in your ear saying “get a dog!”

I miss Henry when River doesn’t bring him over and I just like having something to cuddle with when i’m on the sofa. Oh dear I might end up with one at this rate.

I’ve been learning about Hanukkah, and also showing my girlfriend Christmas. We’ve been doing every last tradition I have been able to think of, and I think she’s been liking it so far. Aside from that, I haven’t thought very far. Yourself? Oh, and I haven’t introduced myself, my name’s Thane.

I’m guessing she’s celebrated Hanukkah. Did you enjoy it? I don’t really have any plans aside from working Christmas Eve. I might go to my coworker’s family’s house. They’ve invited me to have dinner with them. I’m Andrew, it’s nice to meet you.

Continuing with our new little tradition, I would like this Munday to be dedicated to Mari. As many of our members know, Mari has taken up the helm of doing our weekly activity checks. Without her, SABR would have had to close because my academic schedule, teaching, and job impact my amount of free time to run this group, let alone be on the dash. Activity checks take hours, usually between six and eight depending on the size of the group and number of people on hiatus. Her commitment to keeping the group active and running is not unseen or unappreciated. Thank you for your continued hard work and commitment to this community and for working so hard to balance admin duties and your amazing characters, as well as for always being there for us to talk to. Honestly, the amount of advice you have given all of us in the nearly five years we have been open has been invaluable. You continue to encourage us to do research and put our best work forward. Thank you!

I don’t think there are any green thumbs in my family, mostly just sporty people and doctors. I fit into neither category if I am being perfectly honest.

Well thank you, I appreciate the compliment. Ah, yeah the idea is going well, still kinda simmering. Haven’t actually started to draft it yet, I’m just making bullet points and all that fun stuff. People ask me what my writing process is like and man oh man does it change depending on the idea.

I love hearing that your relationship is going well. I will say, the network does offer one quite a bit of privacy when it comes to fame. I’ve been lucky in that respect. I still get a bit too much attention when I’m out and about, but I tend to hide at home, or find places where it’s not so busy and things are much better off. So far, there hasn’t been too much attention on my new relationship. I’ve been lucky, and this network is definitely one of the factors for that. Anyway, I can’t catch you up on things missed, but I can say I’ve missed you and your family.

THANE! I expect Thane time soon. I miss you and we need to have a talk about said new relationship mister. All good things I promise. I pretty much want to gush at you for ten minutes.
