• Ah, yes our beloved bastard Daigo Dojima. If we are talking about Yakuza Kiwami 2, Daigo then he will be a different person, he would be Cold and Neglectful to his darling or otherwise— you.

• After he got his pride crushed by Ryuji, Daigo turned into more of an asshole than before, he wouldn’t physically hurt you but he will throw cold remarks towards you, in that phase he doesn't really care about you even if you guys are in a relationship, he would bring many girls into his apartment and you can't break up with because of his verbal and emotional abuse. He's just overall a prick of a boyfriend and even if you manage to break up with him, he will act un reasonable until you come back to him. But when you come back to him he will treat you again like one of his side hoes, nothing really changed.

• He's overall abusive, but when the alcohol hits, when he becomes a weeping puppy on you, muttering 'sorry' and 'forgive me' a true mix of manipulativeness and self-pity is in there. You are never sure what he is going to say or do next, it could mean a lot of things, so you have decided that he was just like this from the start. The fact that he is a jerk who will always blame himself for anything is not new. You desperately want to leave Daigo but in the state he is in, you can’t leave him in the cold floor with booze around him.

• But now if our glorious king Kiryu finally met him and beat some sense into him, then we will see some changes. After being the chairman he will improve himself because of his duty, at first he might even forget you (you guys may have broken up) and just focus on his responsibilities as a chairman. But little by little, minor things reminded him of you. When he became chairman a lot of his “friends” either stuck to his side for his reputation or left him because of his position yet, by any means he couldn’t get rid of your face, how you always drag his ass back to bed when he is flat out drunk, how you wipe away puke from his chin. He decided to search for you until he met you again in a cafe as a coincidence.

• Do you know what kind of cafe? It was the one where you used to wait for him when he was in his late teens, it was the pure irony that hit Daigo like a truck, Daigo that time never wanted to call Kiryu and give him another ass whopping but this time send him to the ER. Daigo was sweaty and clammy when he approached you, and when you did notice him he jolted out in fear, and that small action completely crushed Daigo. Memories flooded of him being the worst boyfriend ever to you, him bringing random girls to his apartment then making out with them even when you were in front of him, he would only talk to you when he was drunk and vent all his insecurities on you but after showing you his vulnerability he would force himself to forget about everything then the cycle repeats. Yeah. . .those memories hit him, hard.

• When he had the courage to talk to you, he immediately apologize for his shitty behavior, and he knows that you won't be able to forgive me after all the stupid shit he has done even though he was speaking fast, you knew deep inside that he was genuine so you then said to him that you forgive him even though deep inside of you felt extreme bitterness towards him but who knows “maybe the two of you can be friends again”. That line made Daigo almost cry may it be because of the relief that flooded him or such.

• So day by day Daigo even with a tight schedule will manage to squeeze you in it, may it be drinking in that cafe, or you guys catching up while walking at the nearby park, etc. If he doesn't have time no matter how much he tries he will send you a whole bouquet with a written apology made by him personally.

• He likes hearing about your day, your voice soothes and eases him after a long day, of paperwork and casual Yakuza work, he even records you talking to him so if you are ever busy and can't call him, he will listen to those recordings to help him sleep properly.

• Now this is where we talk about the now mature and well-groomed Daigo, not the drunken boy of last year, oh no. He has improved and even though he acknowledges it, this Daigo now is Manipulative, Submissive, and Self-Aware. Daigo knows his place in the Yakuza, he has power and men beside him at any time, one snap of his finger and whatever he needs at his fingertips. He is one of the top dogs in the underworld business, he can't be weak or careless, and he can't let any weakness show to those around him, and if he does so his entire plan gets ruined. So whenever he is with he he just can't help but be comforted by you, and that is why he has many reasons why he LOATHES his past self, his younger self was a total douche that treated you like ass, and because of that younger him didn't notice how priceless you truly are, he genuinely wanna know how you manage to deal with him before, so since then he has been keeping things right, he is doing everything so you can redeem him.

• I can see Daigo and his obsessiveness growing because of the dangers of the Yakuza, and if he manages to feel vulnerable because of you then he will do anything to keep you safe, so slowly and surely he is becoming obsessed.

• He tries to do whatever you want in the first months of the friendship even giving space but the longer you both hang out together the more he will limit your decisions, which should have been a red flag but hey, he is trying to change right? And relationship or not Daigo will spoil you, even how many times you decline it, the new bag you were looking for? It's on your doorstep now.

• Daigo is intimidating. I mean whoever walks the streets of Kamurucho at least knows his face or has heard of him in some way, they know the power he holds, and if he even sees your way, you just have to hope that Daigo doesn't have any bad intentions.

• Daigo will also dig up information about you, he trusts Mine the most, and he knows that he can depend on Mine to dig for information about everything, may it be your family, your friends, or heck even the random stranger you talked to yesterday. Daigo knows which friends he should separate you from and ones that will not get his way to you, even though he will isolate you from all your close ones so you can only depend on him, he has already put his guard down with you and with you alone.

• If by good chance both, you and Daigo gave the relationship again (how did you not notice all the red flags.) then you must be prepared to live a life of isolation. Daigo knows how dangerous it is in the Yakuza world, you never know, maybe the coffee you were supposed to take is laced with coffee, or maybe his fellow enemies hired a hitman on you, so that's why Daigo only makes you live in a mansion far away and is filled with many trusted guards of his home, you can't even walk around the home so most of the time you're cooped up in his room.

• Try to escape him, you really can't but even if you do manage to escape then good luck, the Tojo clan already has many connections and we are not even talking about other clans that sided with the Tojo family, if you really want to escape him then you have to stay undercover REALLY HARD till you earn enough money to get out of the country, but you have to change your name, medical records and heck many even your face.

• But if Daigo manages to catch you, then prepare for many weeks of depravation from any human interaction, Daigo will visit you to bring you your food even though how much you scream and cry at him he has enough patience to handle it all and once you have learned your lesson then expect Daigo even be more strict on you.

• Daigo would definitely spoil you, fancy dinners, nice clothes and many more just don’t look at him with those eyes as if he is the worst thing in the world! He can change, just say whatever you want from him and he would do it! Just don’t ever leave him!!

• But if you manage to deal with his unhealthy obsession (how in the hell.) then you will know how pouty and soft he is in your arms, he will make you cup his face while he grumbles about the shitty thing that happened, if anyone looked at what was happening no one will believe that this is the man that is leading one of the top Yakuza's.

• Don't get me wrong Daigo very much knows that this is very wrong and every day he beats himself up because of it but how can he ever resist you when you bring such comfort to him in the gloomy moments of the night? How can he ever resist you when you look at him and smile and say "I love you" even though you could be lying? The power you hold over the top dog of the underground world is amazing, you are his biggest weak point and he will protect you no matter how many bullet holes he will put behind someone’s back for you are his sanctuary.

Tell me about Twisted Wonderland? How is it?

It's a visual novel where the concept is popular disney villains, but ikemen. The premise is Yuu (that's like the place holder name for you 🫵🏻 the player, you can obviously name urself whateves) are not a magic user, you're not even from this place, but somehow you've been summoned by the dark mirror and ended up in Twisted Wonderland, specifically Night Raven College. Currently the story is broken down into books and we navigate school life while also dealing with an issue of students (the villains) overblotting. Which they used too much magic and their emotions have tainted them.

Night Raven College is an all boys school of arcane arts (magic) and is divided into dorms that represents the The Great Seven (since these are "twisted" versions, the villains are seemed as benevolent). Each dorm has a house warden and a vice warden, usually the house warden is the one who is the specific iteration of a villain. Each student has a special spell that is unique to them as well!

Heartslabyul - this dorm embodies the Red Queen's strictness

Riddle Rosehearts - house warden and like the Red Queen, has a penchant for following the rules. His signature spell of Off With Your Head.

Trey Clover - based off a club card soldier, he's very mild mannered and a Riddle's childhood friend. His spell is Paint the Roses.

Cater Diamond - a diamond card, he's ur social media jargon magicam posting buddy. His spell is Split Card

Ace Trappola - he's one of your two main besties. He's the Yosuke to your Souji, Ryuji to your Akira. His spell is currently unknown

Floyd Leech - the overtly chaotic mirror twin of Jade. He loses interest in things quick but easily excitable if something catches his eye, big ADHD energy. His spell is Bind the Heart

Scarabia - a dorm founded on The Sorcerer of the Sand's Mindfulness

Kalim Al-Asim - house warden who is not actually supposed to be a student, but his father bought him in with a large donation to the school. Kalim was insistent to attend when Jamil was accepted. He's unbearily positive and kind to the point of toxicity. His unique magic is Oasis Maker

Jamil Viper - is the better student and mage, but is Kalim's attendant, it would be "inappropriate" for him to be housewarden. He is calculating, careful, and aloof. His spell is Snake Whisperer.

Pomefiore - founded on The Fair Queen's tenacity.

Vil Schoenheit - the fairest of them all, he's an actor that people love as much as one loves an idol. He's beautiful and can be a little snotty, but he's kind when it's needed. His unique magic is Fairest One of All

Rook Hunt - based on the huntsman from Snow White he's an eccentric individual and French™. His ultimate desire is to find all different kinds of beauty. His spell is I See You

Epel Felmier - like his name, he is the poison apple. Epel is at odds with his fair appearance and what he views masculinity to be. He's a country boy and has a thick accent, but Vil encourages him to hide it. His spell is Sleep Kiss

Ignihyde - founded on the King of the Underworld's diligence

Idia Shroud - the arrogant but self deprecating weeb version of Hades. Idia is your typical gamer/anime trope character. He has a desire to be free and more outgoing but usually caves in on himself. His unique magic is Gate to the Underworld

Ortho Shroud - the humanoid younger brother of Idia. He's cute, charming, and polite and always trying to get Idia to come out of his shell. As it stands he has no signature spell.

Diasomnia - founded on the Thorn Fairy's spirit of nobility.

Malleus Draconia - the iteration of Maleficint. Because he's a fae he essentially has time blindness and is usually late or not at a housewarden meeting. I love it, despite the fact it IS a gacha game as well as a vn, and never ever spend actual money on the damn thing their pity is a joke lol. It's better to just save your gems and keys for your favorites and call it good (I save for Sebek, Floyd, and Rook). You take lessons to level up your cards, exams to earn books to raise the card's spells, play twist tunes, and once you're in Idia's book, some retro game style mini games. There's also a little guest room at your dorm, Ramshackle, that you can invite a character to and design the room as you see fit!

So wildly down the chasm of wrong that infact, the stares of the public generated into the stance of some palpable force as he finds himself amidst a passionate explanation from none other than Sonia Nevermind. A certain Nevermind that he manages to hold quite the welcomed history with, and this time catching her in a realm of determination advancing as the arcade managed to house a golden grail for her.. downright creepy interest. But hey! Who was he to judge?

Ryuji's posture remained stunned, hands settled up in a way to reflect both surrender and a request for calm all in a single go. "Okay, ooookay! So I'm readin' ya here! The king of all Ghostface for your kingdom of Ghostface dudes is somehow stuffed off in some glassy box hell, not sayin' we're gonna be throwing up the white flag on this anytime soon!" He immediately counters. It was a tie of tension between the obviously nosy crowd and seeing the flaming radiance of her resolution.

While the grisly view was moreso hideous than anything positive, the fact Sonia alone holds a wish somehow made the thing shine just a little bit. "Hey. You're talkin' to one of the fastest guys on the track, had me a quick clean up after finishing drills. ..Or maybe, you might've been here on this quest longer than ya thought." It was a playful jab he comes to lean his arm on the cabinet, turning that sunny expression back towards her.

"Sides. Sound like a real important thing is goin' down here. Think I can just leave my homegirl here when things are gettin' tight? Ol' Ryuji came here to play some games originally, still got time, but this here? Sounds like we need to get this dude tied to ya name... And there's always time for deep breaths. Lungs ain't never gonna stop demanding the stuff." And their eyes needed to be on the prize! Call him easily influenced, or charmed, but the sight of someone who is out here giving less of a damn about the surroundings for a pursuit of an earnest goal?? How could that not get the blood running hot?!

This was his declaration of war upon the crane game that found itself as an endless devourer of wealth, pride and the tears of the brave who found nothing but dashed hopes and boundless frustration against this domain of trials.

Fucking hell. She knew she should've asked Chiaki to come with her, or at least done a better job of convincing her best friend to help. Instead, Sonia had shown her sympathy when the Ultimate Gamer had hesitated to accompany her to the busy arcade not far from Shibuya. While she was often the one gawked and pointed at, if not approached for an uncomfortable question or a photo, it was Chiaki's turn for such behavior should she step foot into an arcade of any sort. And while Sonia was more than capable of handling, and deflecting, such attention politely, her friend was less so.

What Sonia wasn't capable of was winning at the UFO Catcher games. Or at least, the one she'd been focused on for the past two hours. While other patrons flocked to the latest offerings from otome games, an action series featuring ninjas, wide-eyed maids and anime idols, she'd planted herself in front of a single cabinet. It was full of plush dolls styled after various horror icons from East to West: Sadako, Michael Myers, Freddy Kreuger, Jason Voorhees, the Jigsaw Puppet, Chucky...and her target, the two different versions of Ghostface. One of them featured the popular fictional horror icon with a plain, grimacing mask, but Sonia was laser-focused on the limited edition version, complete with red patches sewn to mimic blood splatters. They weren't available in any of the anime shops, only the arcade, and thus she'd come armed with an arcade card and sheer determination.

And the latter was quickly running out, considering that, without a care for the rest of the patrons of the arcade, she'd let loose a string of swear words. In a variety of European languages, thank goodness, but the tone was enough for several heads to turn and stare at the loudmouthed foreigner, with a glare in her eyes and cheeks turned deep pink in focus. In stress. And now, in shock as she heard a voice behind her.

"Whoa, Hey, hey, hey, hey, Deep breaths, Lot of deep breaths."

He'd distracted her just enough that, in her attempt to snag the small loop attached to the doll's black hood, her grip had shifted and the claw had let go, dropping the soft, squeezable bloody icon right back into the pile. It was one of only a couple in a pile of dozens, and she'd tried for what appeared to be the easiest one to retrieve. Not that she couldn't afford it, but she didn't want to consider the amount of euros she'd spent on the venture thus far.

"But there is no time for deep breaths!" She protested, panicked as she gestured wildly towards the machine. That too earned her some suspicious looks: girls, especially foreign girls in private school uniforms, hardly ever spent that much time in an arcade. Much less making a scene over something as morbid as plush dolls of fictional serial killers. The crowd seemed puzzled, not just due to the fact a pretty blonde girl was choosing to spend her time in the arcade, but she didn't care for either the otome love interests or trinkets featuring the popular anime about groups of delinquent boys.

No, Sonia had far more important things to worry about. "The Ghostface doll with the blood on the mask is limited edition for the arcades only! You can't buy it online or at anime shops yet, and I must ensure one is in my collection to complete the set!" She nodded her head to the display poster, which showed every toy in the horror icon set. With appropriately-unsettling font and still images from all of the film series represented.

"I've got all the others, but I must have Bloody Ghostface too," She explained pointedly, before realizing she was, in fact, not droning on and on about her odd hobbies with a stranger and instead, it was someone she actually knew. That made it less embarrassing at least. "In any case, what are you doing here? I would've thought you'd been busy with sports today."

The Japanese Cultural Significance Behind Older Ignis’ Hairstyle

this is something i’ve touched upon a couple times before, but i felt like going a bit more in-depth and i have 24/7 blorbo brain, so here we go

for those who are unaware, the pompadour is a bit of an infamous hairstyle in Japan (taken from Wikipedia):

it actually first rose to popularity in the 50s-60s...

...and remained that way on and off up until the early 2000s.

(source is this article, which has a lot more great examples, but unfortunately is also pretty full of annoying ads, lol)

a lot of notable thug-type characters sported the pompadour hairstyle in anime/manga from the late 80s - early 90s...

...and the stereotype is still used in more modern anime, too.

but the way i first learned of the hairstyle’s significance was through the manga Shonan Junai Gumi (precursor to the more popular Great Teacher Onizuka series), where protagonists Eikichi & Ryuji...

...choose to purposely get rid of their pompadours so they can start trying to pick up women (it’s a shonen series from 1990, just bear with me):

but as soon as they step outside, they get challenged by some punks...

...and immediately fix their hair back up so they can participate in the fight.

it’s a huge statement on what it means to be a stereotypical “delinquent” in Japan (obviously taken to the extreme in this case for humor’s sake, but it’s a joke that’s intended to be immediately understood by the audience).

so, what does any of this have to do with Ignis Scientia?

of all the Chocobros, Ignis is definitely the most straight-laced. he’s had the responsibility of being Noctis’ caretaker from a very young age (six years old!) and prides himself on being the most practical of the group, making sure everyone eats healthy and stays out of danger. he drives the car, he manages the money...at 22 years old, he is wise beyond his years, and often joked to be the only true “adult” on the team.

but even as a teenager, Ignis looked far older than his age (pictured here at only 17):

quite the opposite of any of the thugs seen above, young Ignis dressed for his role as a servant of the Royal Family and never acted much like any “typical” teenager. in fact, in his Brotherhood episode, he’s already learning to take on some of the King’s parental responsibilities towards Noctis as Regis’ health noticeably declines...certainly not what one would expect of the normal adolescent experience.

Ignis didn’t really have a childhood (another topic i’ve frequently touched upon), and that’s part of what makes his post-timeskip hairstyle so interesting. instead of keeping his “cockatiel” hair from the main game or simply letting his hair stay down, 32 year old Ignis specifically chose a pompadour:

i’ve often seen it said that Older Ignis looks younger than 22 year old Ignis, and that’s absolutely true. but it’s more than just the softness of his features; it’s that Older Ignis sports a hairstyle you’d normally expect to see on a teenage punk.

given the very little information we have about the 10 Years of Darkness (laziness on the developers’ part imho, but i digress), i consider Older Ignis’ choice of hairstyle to be a significant clue to how he carries himself in the World of Ruin.

here is an Ignis who has accepted the consequences of his decision to wear the Ring, who has gained newfound confidence and stubbornly trained himself to navigate through an endlessly dark world. here is an Ignis who taught himself to hunt again, taught himself to cook again, who has honed his other senses to the point where he can fend for himself in a daemon-infested nightmare that would probably send a less-disciplined person running to their death. 32 year old Ignis quite literally rebelled against his own fate; he chose to survive.

considering that Insomnia is a Japanese city (based on Shinjuku), and that Ignis himself is from there in the original Japanese version of the game (no accent, born in the Kingdom of Lucis just like the others), i can only assume he would understand the cultural significance behind the pompadour hairstyle and what it represents. it’s also a lot of effort for someone who not only exists in a dark world, but who also cannot see himself...there is no doubt in my mind that Ignis chose this style on purpose.

and that’s why i find all of this so fascinating. especially considering what few details we are shown about each of the bros post-timeskip, here’s something about my favorite character that stands out to me as a form of deliberate symbolism and allows me to easily draw conclusions from it. to me it reinforces what a resilient person Ignis is, and it also fuels some of my headcanons that Older Ignis is less uptight and more confident (something that his younger Japanese version self struggles with).

it’s an aspect of Ignis that i feel is extremely significant, but i think has the potential to get overlooked by fans who are not familiar with Japanese culture, which is why i wanted to share it here.

I don't really have any reason for it, but I really enjoy the idea of Bakura and his idiot little brother who has no idea how the world works and asks Bakura all sort of questions that the answers should be quite obvious to, but Bakura is also stupid and in order to save his pride rather than admitting that he has not even the slightest clue about the subject makes up a stupid lie which Yami Malik immediately believes and continues to live his life believing that lie. My OTP for them: For this my answer is obviously Tendershipping (Yami Bakura X Ryou Bakura) XD. This is pretty much the ship I started raving about since the day I joined tumblr. His ticklers will probably see how much it's affecting him and continue tickling him and he doesn't hate tickling, but moreso hates that he's not in control of the situation.

Also neither of them can handle teasing. Itto would be affected more by his ticklers wiggling their fingers at him and I think Childe wouldn't be able to handle verbal teasing because he has a lot of pride and his ticklers would definitely tease him about the fact that a Fatui Harbinger is actually weak to something like tickling

Aichi frowned deeply after seeing the brutality from the battle between Ryuji and Keith. He was looking at a screen not too far from the arena. He continued on his way to the arena.

With Yami…

“Catapult use hydro pump!”, Yami ordered.

“King use double edge!”, Keith ordered.

King growled charging at Catapult as fast as it could manage. However, its thick steel armor made it too slow and it was blasted with torrents of water from Catapult's cannons. Keith growled angrily as the massive Pokémon was blasted back.

“Useless worm…I may have to find a better pawn.”, Keith grumbled strangely.

Catapult roared quickly, overwhelming the other Pokémon with its cannons. King growled, digging its claws in the ground trying to get up.

“Keith’s King is still tough as ever. I remember Jonouchi just barely winning against him before.”, Yugi commented.

While Yugi didn’t like King’s viciousness even he couldn’t help, but admire its persistence. It was able to get back on its feet standing up stubbornly despite the torrent of water. King uses flamethrower trying to get Catapult. However before the fire could reach Catapult increased the pressure of the water and blew King off its feet. This made King hit its head and faint.

“Pathetic…it seems I have no more use for this mind slave.”, Keith said, surprising Yami.

“Wait…?!”, Yami said as he realized something was very wrong.

Him and many others gawk when Keith suddenly falls to the ground like a puppet with its strings cut.

“Is he alright?”, Misaki questioned.

The medical team rushed out carrying Keith to the infirmary as Yugi looked stunned.

“That wasn’t Keith. Even if he was slimy he had pride in his Pokémon, especially King. Not to mention his words…”, Yugi said.

“It must have been Marik. I don’t know how he did it, but he was controlling Keith.”, Yami replied.

Yami sweated nervously as his fears of Marik’s presence grew. The last rare hunter walked up removing his robes dramatically. He had black ponytail and dark eyes. He wore a black and blue mask and a red top hat. He had a red suit and a blue and black tie.

“It’s showtime!”, he said as Q4 sweat dropped.

“Next for team Rare Hunter is the magician! Arkana! Can he give his team the win they need?! Or will the king of battles retain his crown?”, MC Miya questioned.

“What a shame. I would have preferred to battle your Grimmsnarl to prove mine’s superiority. Oh well…go, Magician!”, Arkana said, throwing out his Grimmsnarl.

“I see. So, you have one as well. Even if they can’t battle now. My Catapult always puts up a great fight.”, Yami replied as Catapult prepared itself to fight again.

The stadium was in front of him now. As he tried to open the door he suddenly had an ominous feeling. He looked back feeling multiple enemies near in hiding. As he looked back he saw rare hunters prepared to pounce. With a simple flick of his wrist he effortlessly caught all of them with his psychic powers catching them in place. The rare hunters sweated nervously as Aichi walked up to them.

“Why were you trying to attack me?”, Aichi asked.

The rare hunter looked away sweating bullets. He then suddenly remembered what happened to the last rare hunter they tried to interrogate.

“There you are 003v.”, Aichi turned his attention to see Leon with Jillian and Sharlene by his side.

The whole world seemed to freeze as the two stared at each other. The rare hunters became more anxious, Sharlene sweated nervously and Jillian tried to keep a straight face. Aichi narrowed his eyes at Leon as both his own reservations and 003’s hatred flowed through him. The air around him became heavy as the rare hunters panicked. Jillian could barely hide her nervousness now. Despite it Leon kept his dauntless expression against the violent maelstrom that was Aichi’s aura right now. Their eyes flashed with a rainbow spiral in resonance like when they met in Kakusa.

With Yugi…

Yami activated his mega bracelet to mega evolve Catapult.

“Magician use thunder wave!”, Arkana ordered.

The massive Pokémon tried to move, but it was too slow to avoid the paralysis.

“Man…this isn’t good.”, Jonouchi commented.

“Catapult use flash cannon!”, Yami ordered, however unfortunately due to the paralysis induced Catapult struggled.

“Magician use thunder punch!”, Arkana ordered as Magician charged at Catapult.

“Catch him, Catapult!”, Yami ordered as Catapult stayed still.

Arkana smirked at this, pointing at Catapult and laughing.

“It seems the big lug can’t. For the king of battles you didn’t put up a-“, Arkana suddenly gasped in surprise when he heard a pained gasp from Grimmsnarl.

Catapult had kicked up a big rock that had been created by King’s savage beat down on Orgoth. The rock hit Grimmsnarl’s chest, sending it flying back. Catapult used this opportunity to fulfill its earlier order. It blasted Grimmsnarl with flash cannon making it cry out in pain.

“I wouldn’t speak so soon, Arkana. As I said Catapult always puts up quite the fight.”, Yami said as his Pokémon struggled through the paralysis trying to blast Grimmsnarl more.

Grimmsnarl got the rock off of it and rolled out of the way of flash cannon. However the blast moved over following Grimmsnarl as it rolled.

“Magician use substitute! Ta da!”, Arkana ordered, before in the Grimmsnarl was suddenly replaced by a Poké doll confusing Catapult who looked around for Magician.

“Ah?! Where did his Pokémon go?”, Honda questioned.

Yami quickly tried to find Magician gasping as it jumped at Catapult from behind a rock.

“Catapult use skull bash!”, Yami ordered as before Magician could punch Catapult with its electricity covered fist it grabbed its arm harshly yanking it.

Catapult then slammed its head into Magician making the other Pokémon stagger back seeing stars.

“No, Magician you must snap out of it!”, Arkana called out.

“Catapult use flash cannon!”, Yami ordered and it blasted Magician a final time making the rare hunter Pokémon faint.

Arkana paled as he was sweating bullets. He grabbed his head as he kneeled on the ground. Yami came over to him concerned.

“Are you alright? Are you worried about Magician?”, Yami asked.

“Y-you don’t understand. I’m dead.”, Arkana said as Yami looked behind him paling.

He saw that Seeker was gone, leaving just Arkana left from his team. Yami put a hand on his shoulder.

“What are you talking about?”, Yami questioned.

Yugi jumped when a familiar golden glowing eye appeared on Arkana’s head.

With Aichi…

“It seems Marik’s men have been bothering you. Is that why your so late 003v?”, Leon said.

“How much is he using right now? 10%? Or more?”, Leon thought as he looked at the rare hunters suspended in the air.

He noted that Aichi didn’t seem to have much issue keeping it up. Aichi remained silent as he tried to contain the emotions trying to overflow within him. His aura calmed as the oppressive feeling lifted.

“Not exactly. But, they do seem interested in stalling me.”, Aichi replied.

“That is odd.”, Leon said, before he walked up to one of the rare hunters, surprising Aichi.

“Master Leon…”, Sharlene said.

“Marik is not up to something with 003v is he? You should remind him that he shouldn’t get on the bad side of team Asteroid.”, Leon said.

Leon’s gaze only made the hunters shake more. After all it was one thing to invoke the wrath of an individual and another thing to invoke the wrath of an organization as big as team Asteroid. The rare hunter hastily nodded.

“I-I’ll make sure to tell him.”, the rare hunter said.

“Good.”, Leon replied, before turning back to Aichi.

“Thank you.”, Aichi replied, before he gently let down the rare hunters.

With Yami…

Arkana hung limply, his eyes were whited out.

“It seems we meet pharaoh. You may have won this time, but soon I will come to claim what’s mine.”, ‘Arkana’ said, before his body completely fell.

Those who saw this looked very spooked. The mystery and eerieness of the message making it much more potent. Arkana was carried off by the medical staff and Yami was left deep in thought.

In the stands Aichi walked through the entrance looking around for his team.

“Bro! You're finally here!”, Kamui called out and Aichi looked over, spotting them.

He smiled as he met back up with Q4.

“Glad you decided to join us, Aichi.”, Shin said as Aichi rubbed the back of his head sheepishly.

“Seriously, how long did you plan to keep us waiting?”, Misaki questioned.

“I’m sorry about that. I had to finish up something with Takuto then I got delayed.”, Aichi apologized.

Soon they went to their rooms for the circuit. Every team got their own hotel rooms near the stadium, all expenses paid. Aichi laid in his bed staring up at the ceiling. He had on blue pajamas which made the restraint braces much easier to see. He thought about what Shuka said how he will need limit break to defeat Leon. He closed his eyes, frowning. His Pokémon slept around on mini beds.

“Even in all that time I never achieved limit break. The highest percentage I have reached so far is 50%. What percentage even is limit break territory?”, Aichi thought, remembering a conversation with Takuto.

Flashback

“Unfortunately, I'm not even sure of the percentage when limit break is activated or how to unlock it. That information was never stored in the database. It’s likely only the most trusted team Asteroid officials know.”, Takuto admitted and Aichi looked stunned.

“How am I supposed to fight Leon then? If I can’t break my body’s limits like him.”, Aichi questioned.

“You’ll have to find that out on your own.”, Takuto replied.

Flashback end

“Could I try to find out through 003v’s memories. Like when I remembered Jonathan at Pegasus’s castle? No…that could be…but.”, Aichi thought, he sweated nervously as he opened his eyes.

It could be way too risky if he remembers too much. What should he do then? If he doesn’t win here he’ll be forced to be 003v again anyway. So…

“Haxorus? (Mommy?)”, Soul Saver questioned with concern as she rubbed her head against him.

Aichi patted Soul Saver on the back to assure her. Alfred watched them, able to tell there was something pressing on Aichi’s mind. But, wasn’t there always?

“I’ll just have to take that risk…this way at least there’s a chance. I have to protect everyone.”, Aichi thought as he desperately tried to think back for any answers he could find.

“Aichi, what’s on your mind?”, Alfred asked with concern.

“It’s nothing.”, Aichi lied, which only made the ghost more concerned.

Aichi deeply hoped he wouldn’t regret this.

The next day…

He looked at his phone to see a message that the meet up for their team was rescheduled.

“That’s strange. Why would the time be changed to later in the evening? I should ask Shin.”, Aichi thought, looking at the message before getting ready.

After getting dressed he met up with Misaki and Shin at the previous morning time.

“Shin, did you send that message?”, Aichi asked, showing him the message on his phone.

“What?! This wasn’t me!”, Shin replied in confusion and Misaki narrowed her eyes.

“Something is fishy here. We should check up with Kai and Kamui.”, Misaki said.

They nodded before going up to their rooms. He knocked on Kamui’s door a few times only to get no response. Worry started to fill Aichi as he waited for Kamui. Misaki had knocked on Kai’s door and got similar results.

“Something definitely isn’t right here.”, Misaki said.

However as they walked down to the lobby they saw on the TV their match had been moved up and was in less than thirty minutes. Aichi gaped knowing for sure now something was up.

“Let’s get going, Aichi. We can look for those two later. If we don’t win now they won’t have a team to come back to.”, Misaki said as she started making her way towards the arena with Shin and Aichi followed.

“Are you sure, Misaki? What if they are in trouble?”, Aichi asked.

“She’s right, Aichi. Whoever did this probably wants us to rush to them so we’ll get disqualified. You will have to trust in your teammates.”, Shin replied, sounding serious.

Aichi looked down thinking about Shin’s words, but he didn’t have much time as he rushed with them to the arena. They just barely made it there. Shin breathed heavily and Misaki sighed in exasperation. Aichi’s eyes widened as he saw who they were up against.

“Ah! Looks like our competitors from Q4 were able to make it on time! And…woah?! They have 003v? However, Katsuragi and Toshiki are missing. Things are definitely going to be interesting here folks!”, MC Miya said as Misaki looked over to see who they were facing.

At Sanctuary town…

“It’s about time Aichi showed up! He’s always so late!”, Emi complained.

“Where is Kai and Kamui though? Something seems off.”, Miwa said as he cupped his chin.

“Whatever. I'm just excited to finally see Aichi battle!”, Naoki said as he raised his fist.

Shizuka’s gaze was focused on her son. She couldn’t put her finger on it, but something about him seemed different.

With Q4…

“You’ve gotta be shitting me.”, Misaki cursed.

On the other side of the arena were three kids the same age as Kamui. One had short black hair and yellow eyes. He wore black framed glasses, an egg white dress shirt with an orange under and brown jeans. Another had red hair with yellow highlights and green eyes. He wore a green shirt with a yellow v and white pants. Both of them had red an A pin on their clothes. Then the last one was Christopher Lo; 004a.

Aichi looked warily at the other Psyqualia user. Team Shining Friendship gasped in surprise seeing who Q4 was facing.

“Their up against those jerks?”, Jonouchi questioned.

“This is like a nightmare…”, Anzu said.

Yugi and Yami watched intently. Christopher’s gaze was currently focused on Aichi.

“So, you have finally decided to show yourself, 003v. I thought you got scared and ran.”, Christopher taunted.

“It’s Sendou Aichi.”, Aichi corrected.

004a that name now had a new context with the memories he had recently regained. That implies his creation was gotten right on the first try. Likely from using the information from his own creation to get it right the first time. It was not just that he remembered how he called Ren an old model. Was he considered the same? The thought made Aichi frown deeply. The part of him that was 003v could never accept such a thing. There was no way Christopher could be an improvement that was…

“That’s impossible!”, Aichi heard in his mind mentally sighing.

“This is just our luck. Of course they're missing when we have to face him.”, Misaki said.

“Our competitor from team SIT Genius is Ali Pajeel. He’s the 3rd top student at the SIT institute! And boy will he need all the smarts he can for his opponent from Q4!”, MC Miya said.

Aichi tensed as he looked at Christopher’s team.

“I’m ready to fight.”, Aichi said, confidently.

“Hang on there, Aichi. It looks like 004a isn’t going now. You should wait till he’s up assuming we’ll even need to switch. I’m rather pissed off right now so I hope you don’t mind if I wipe the floor with the whole team?”, Misaki said and Aichi sweat dropped.

Shin looked rather fearful as he saw the anger in her eyes. He was confused seeing Aichi didn’t seem as fearful of his niece’s rage as usual.

“Alright.”, Aichi replied calmly, weirding them out a bit.

Misaki and Shin looked at each other before Misaki simply walked up to the battlefield.

“For team Q4 we have Tokura Misaki, the Kakusa region’s own Psychic type gym leader! Hopefully, for her she gets to redeem herself from the last matchup!”, MC Miya said.

Misaki met the gaze of her opponent as she crossed her arms.

“Woah, I’ve got a total babe as my opponent. Say if I win will you go on a date with me?”, Ali asked, making Misaki look at him incredulously.

“As if I would let that happen. I’m going to win here.”, Misaki replied.

“We’ll see about that, babe! Let go, Compass!”, Ali said throwing out a Liepard.

“Go, Coco!”, Misaki called out, throwing out her Hatterene.

Gin and Leon watched from their respective private booths.

“Wake me up when my son’s playing.”, Gin ordered, his guards before dosing off.

His guards' sweat dropped at his behavior.

“Coco use future sight!”, Misaki ordered.

“Compass use sucker punch!”, Ali ordered.

Later with Kamui and Kai…

“I can’t believe this!”, Kamui said as they were surrounded by team Asteroid grunts.

They had their Pokémon out.

“You seriously didn’t realize it was a trap?”, Kai questioned.

“Then, why did you follow me smartass?”, Kamui questioned incredulously.

“So, I can deal with whoever is trying to sabotage us obviously.”, Kai replied menacingly as Overlord breathed fire.

Kamui sweat dropped and the grunts all sent out their Pokémon. However, Kai’s Pokémon moved so fast it didn’t matter. Kamui sweat dropped against as Kai stood over the grunts holding one by the collar.

With the others in the present…

Due to the future sight Coco was able to evade even the lightning fast sucker punch.

“Coco use dazzling gleam!”, Misaki ordered.

As Compass was close Coco emitted fairy energy sending the feline back. Coco then shot a psychic blast for the future sight. Compass stayed down seemingly knocked out. Ali looked at Compass not withdrawing it. Misaki stayed cautious not having Coco get too close.

“Why is Ali not recalling his Pokémon even though it looks like it’s down for the count?”, MC Miya questioned.

“Coco use dazzling gleam!”, Misaki ordered.

As she did, Compass sprung up as Ali gave it a signal.

“Compass use iron tail!”, Ali ordered.

Right as the dazzling gleam ended Compass swung its hardened tail at Coco, knocking her back. The tail impacted Coco’s head making her dizzy.

“Coco, snap out of it and use dazzling gleam!”, Misaki ordered.

To Ali’s surprise Coco quickly recovered blasting Compass. Ali whistled, impressed at her Pokémon’s recovery time.

“Ah, man that stun usually lasts longer.”, Ali said.

“Hmm my Pokémon are tougher than that. That playing dead tactic was rather clever for a kid.”, Misaki replied.

“Well, I am a genius after all. Now, Compass use iron tail on the battlefield!”, Ali replied.

Compass hit the ground with its tail sending up rocks and dust which clouded Coco’s vision.

“Coco use future sight!”, Misaki ordered as Compass darted behind the rocks using them as cover as it approached Coco.

“That’s not good. It’s hard to sneak up on someone when they can see the future.”, Ali thought.

He delayed his order again as he tried to wait out future sight so Compass could strike.

“He must know how long future sight will last. He was waiting the same amount of time last time. In that case…”, Misaki thought.

“Coco use calm mind!”, Misaki ordered, taking advantage of the opportunity.

If he wasn’t going to attack now then she could use this time to buff Coco. Ali’s eyes widened as he heard this. Aichi smiled as he watched Misaki, which Shin noticed.

“She’s doing good out there. She’s always been such a strong trainer.”, Aichi commented.

“Ho ho, Aichi you seem rather excited watching her.”, Shin teased.

“Well of course. She’s my friend.”, Aichi replied obliviously and Shin sweat dropped.

Jonouchi rubbed his head in confusion.

“I don’t get it why didn’t he instantly attack with how fast that Liepard is?”, Jonouchi questioned.

“This is a battle of wits right now. I think Misaki has noticed Ali delays when she uses future sight. That’s because any tactics he uses within the future sight will be anticipated ahead of time. She realized this and took advantage of it. I think that’s why at least.”, Yugi replied.

“Uhh…way too complicated for me. That’s why I don’t battle competitively. Honestly though that’s what makes Misaki so awesome.”, Anzu replied and Yugi nodded.

“What a disgrace…Ali are really going to let yourself lose to a lowly gym leader?”, his black haired teammate questioned.

“To be fair Ali has always been a slacker compared to us. I think he underestimated that Kakusa girl because of her last loss.”, Christopher replied, seeming bizarrely more chill than usual, having his arms wrapped behind his head.

“Even then…she still nothing compared to us.”, his teammate replied.

“If that’s the case I might just have to beat both her and 003v. 003v who is said to be the strongest creation in project Psyqualia. Then…I’ll finally prove I’m better than Christopher. No one will be able to deny it then.”, his teammate thought, briefly glancing at Christopher then back to the match.

“Crap, Compass use iron tail now!”, Ali ordered.

Misaki smirked seeing Compass reveal itself. Coco moved to intercept Compass, having gotten the dust out of her eyes.

“Coco use dazzling gleam!”, Misaki ordered.

It was too close for Compass to run and the light quickly engulfed it.

At Sanctuary Town…

“Go, Misaki!!! Your the best!”, Emi cheered as she saw Compass faint.

Miwa and Shizuka chuckled at her enthusiasm.

“Misaki really has gotten strong hasn’t she. I remember when she was just a little girl.”, Mikuru said.

“Yeah, she really has come a long way.”, Shizuka replied.

“Go, gang boss!”, Naoki cheered, making the others sweat drop.

Back at the circuit…

“Aww man. Alas. Seems you have bested me babe. One day I’ll get that date.”, Ali said, making Misaki sweat drop.

“Looks like Tokura was able to get the first win for her team! Can she keep this win streak up?”, MC Miya announced.

“Of course not. It ends here.”, the black haired boy said as he held up his Poké ball.

Ryuji and Sunflowers

In relation to the Flower Meanings post I made, I have been thinking of whether or not I haven’t delved deep enough into the Sunflowers for Ryuji. Admiration for the leader sure, but the other PTs admire Joker too. 

I keep feeling that there’s more to the Sunflowers and why they are chosen for Ryuji specifically. It has been stuck in my thoughts from time to time, so I did more research and this is what I found.

Ryuji’s 2nd-Tier Persona

Ryuji’s 2nd-Tier Persona is Seiten Taisei. According to the background description, “Seiten Taisei” is just a title that Sun Wukong had given himself. So basically, Seiten Taisei is Sun Wukong, a legendary trickster in the Journey to the West story.

Sunflower and Sun Wukong both have the word “Sun” in it. Sunflowers got their name because they resemble the glowing sun.

Sun Wukong on the other hand uses this Chinese character (孫) for Sun. It’s pronounced as “Sun”, but it actually means “monkey” in this case since he is the Monkey King.

The essence of Sunflowers

According to some sources I read, the essence of sunflowers helps with the battle between prideful ego and the self-destructing inner child. Sunflower essences also help boost self-confidence and in Ryuji’s case, balancing masculinity. 

In regards to “prideful ego”, I did mention before in my flower meanings post that Ryuji really likes gaining more fame and recognition for being a Phantom Thief. As for “self-destructing inner child”, this probably refers to Ryuji’s childish and playful nature, and how his lack of control for his anger issues can be self-destructing to him (such as the Kamoshida incident). His first-tier persona is also Captain Kidd. Not only does his persona has “Kidd” in his name, his persona also looks like he’s full of childish mischief too.

And in regards to balancing masculinity, Ryuji is a very masculine guy with a lot of masculine traits. The name “Ryuji” is known to be a common masculine Japanese name. Ryuji is also athletic and works out a lot in the gym, and when it comes to metaverse battles, Ryuji specializes in landing strong physical attacks. Also in P5 Strikers, Ryuji is seen as a gutsy tough guy from the PTs. Ryuji’s play style in P5 Strikers also supports that, where one of his moves involves activating “Guts”. This is where he takes less damage and doesn’t flinch from enemy attacks. Ryuji also loves eating ramen and likes eating meat, and this seems to be a type of stereotypical diet for gutsy Japanese men.

And lastly, about boosting self-confidence, I guess you can say that Ryuji’s self-confidence is boosted after his first persona awakening.

1/2 So, I've got another Solo Leveling idea. Goto Ryuji arrives in Korea thinking his plan was fool proof. He and his guild will lay a trap for the korean Hunters, leave the island and the ants will do the rest for them. Only his plan was not foolproof and he dies. And then he wakes up and it's the day he and his guild had ther friendly sparing match with the korean hunters.

2/2 So they go to Jeju island again and he thinks, this time will be different. And then he dies at the hands of the ant king again and again and again. Fortunately Sung Jin-Woo seems to be stronger then he thought. If only he could convince the brat to participate in the raid.

Oh, this is a very interesting idea. So many twisting paths a time loop fic can take. :D

I think I’d have him reset to his hotel room in South Korea. He would need a bit of time to react to his death and the unexpected time travel. If he woke up in the gym before the sparring, it’d be a lot more disorienting. He’d all of a sudden be in front of people, reacting to his death and just….I don’t like secondhand embarrassment. Ryuji wouldn’t want people to see him freaking out.

He’d be rather confused as he gets ready to visit the Korean Hunter’s Association for the ‘first’ (second) time. But his clever mind would soon be devising new plans, trying to use the time travel to his advantage.

First, he’d probably try to learn more about the Korean Hunters. See what skills of theirs he can use in his plans. He’s not one to easily give up on what he wants, so he’d still be trying to make his plan work, of the Korean Hunters dying and Japan kind of taking over? I don’t remember the exact details of what they were trying to do, how much control they wanted over South Korea.

Besides learning more about the Korean Hunters, the other thing Ryuji can control is how his Hunters are grouped together. Maybe, he thinks, they can survive long enough for him to get to them if he tries out different team arrangements. Then, sending them to different areas of the island, maybe the ant king will be less likely to notice some of them.

Eventually, Ryuji will have to concede that not only is he unable to win against the ant king, but that Sung would make their plan moot, anyway. Not only would it be a bad idea to make an enemy of someone so powerful, but with his summons, Sung could deal with all the high-ranking gates himself, leaving the weaker ones for the lower ranking Korean Hunters.

They have four days between that sparring and them all shipping out to Jejeu island. During that time, he tries to learn more about Sung, why he decided not to join them on the raid, so he can change his mind. Trying different tactics to get him to agree.

Though, I’m not sure what all he’d be willing to do. Nothing that would hurt his dignity or pride. Being too obvious about how much he wants Sung on the raid would make it seem like he thinks his guild can’t handle it.

I’m not sure how I’d have him convince Jin-Woo to go on the raid. He could always seduce him, like he accidentally did in my fic “My Love is a Fire”. It certainly wasn’t that Ryuji’s intention to have Jin-Woo disrupt his plans like that.

But I actually like the idea of Ryuji having to tell Jin-Woo about the time loop. And being flabbergasted when Jin-Woo believes him pretty easily. Jin-Woo, after all, has had to deal with the unbelievable nonsense the system has put him through. Plus, he’d be able to sense how frustrated Ryuji is with the situation, and perhaps some of the trauma of being killed repeatedly.

During this fic, I’d want to show some character development for Ryuji. Coming close to death, let alone actually dying, can make you re-evaluate some things, to think about what’s really important to you.

I’d want Ryuji to realize he actually would be upset if the S-ranks in his guild died. He was rather blasé about it in the novel and manhwa, but he died shortly after, so there’s no telling how he would have felt in the long term. Maybe he would have missed them. They were likely the ones he went on dungeon raids with, after all. He would have had conversations with them, listening to them bickering and teasing each other on missions. Seen them in casual settings as they relaxed after a raid, celebrating their success.

In the beginning of the loops, he’d be more indifferent to their deaths, thinking of them as variables to make his plan work, and assets he’s trying to keep alive for future plans. Then he keeps finding their bodies, perhaps even hearing their last words on the radio. Waking up after his own death to them being lively and dynamic, friendly towards him even as he’s leading them to their grisly end.

It starts to get to him, how much they trust in him. That his plan will succeed and that together, their strength can overcome any odds. Getting Sung on the raid stops just being about his own survival, but about keeping his guild members alive as well.

[This fic would definitely be good practice for writing these characters, developing their personalities and quirks, which would make it both fun and challenging.]

Ryuji is forced to confront his own emotions during these time loops, realizing he can’t actually avoid becoming attached to people without avoiding people altogether. Something he’s not willing to do. Instead, he’s just been trying to repress any sense of attachment, in the futile attempt to avoid grief.

He has to reevaluate how he deals with people. If he can’t avoid the negatives that come with being around people, then he should at least get to have the positives. Ryuji knows that humans benefit from friendship and romantic love, he’s just never thought the risk of grief and loss were worth it to him. But if he has to deal with it anyway, he’ll take every benefit he can get, grasping hold of it with greedy hands.

It starts with being more willing to have casual conversations with his S-rank guild members, allowing himself to start thinking of them as possible friends. Though he’d probably start off thinking of them as comrades, rather than the coworkers/employees/his people that he’s been thinking of them as. Comrades kind of feels like the halfway point between coworker and friend, plus it can be used as comrade-in-arms, people you fight together with against a common foe.

At the same time, he’d be learning more about Jin-Woo, trying to figure out what motivates the other Hunter. He’d probably want to spar against him, too, after their fight got interrupted. Maybe he’d try to use the time loops to learn how Jin-Woo fights, see if he can use that and his greater experience to last longer against the younger Hunter.

Ryuji is drawn to Jin-Woo’s strength, the mystery of his many abilities, and physically attracted to him. He starts to wonder about romantic attachments, about who he’d want in a life partner if he allowed himself that much attachment.

[I know your ask didn’t specifically mention them getting together, so I don’t know if you had that in mind. But it’s where my mind goes every time these two are the main characters of a story.]

Honestly, not sure how well I’d write this story. It sounds like a fun idea in theory, but doesn’t ignite as much excitement as some of the other ideas have. I feel like I’d write a couple chapters and then the inspiration would fizzle out. But if I ever get enough inspiration for it, then it could be fun to try my hand at it. Maybe write snippets of it.

Out of the fic submissions I’ve received, the one I’m most interested in writing is the one where Jin-Woo ends up in an alternate universe, where that Jin-Woo and Ryuji had been lovers before that Jin-Woo died. There’s a lot to explore when figuring out how the universes could differ.

real name — Sapphire Imagami (Silverstein in Past Verse)

*Imagami, as referenced from the canon AU of Young Black Jack.

eye color — Green in civilian form, brown after magical transformation.

family members —In his previous lifetime, Sapphire had been born to Queen Freya and King Argyros; two members from separate magical noble houses who’d wed out of an arranged marriage. Although the two had battled through a tumultuous relationship based upon different beliefs within the ruling system, the monarchs stayed to support their son. Freya, as a retired mage, would spend most of her time tending to her rose gardens whilst watching her son interact with the nature growing around the kingdom or organizing charitable events for the civilians. Argyros’ was a prideful archer and spent most of his youth being raised around a family, who had served as an infantry unit during the war. In his current lifetime, he’s the son of a movie director and actress. Given Sapphire’s poetic way of speaking, their careers have obviously had some sort of influence on him. 

pets —Varan, if he counts as a pet, honestly. Sapphire met the serpentine companion whilst traveling with Blood to Black Pearl Isle. At that time, Varan was nothing more than a lone egg drifting among the waves. His true origins are unknown to his current caretaker. Although, Sapphire loves him all the same.

ever hurt anyone before — Emotionally? Yeah. He’s thrown around a few terrible things under pressure. Obviously, they also make him feel super guilty later and in an attempt salvage important friendships, he will try to make it up later. Physically? Double yes. Sapphire is no stranger to getting down and dirty when it comes to folks who wish harm onto his loved ones. Let’s just say a good strike to the balls with his sword sheathe is at least the mildest red flag you will get if you piss him off good enough. 

ever killed anyone before — Demons. His uncle. That last kill was the only one he doesn’t exactly regret given the damage that was inflicted upon his people. 

animals that represent them — Cat. As agile and quite hissy as one. There is also the bird. 

worst habits —Frustrated outbursts riding high on anxiety, having a sailor mouth, and generally taking everything upon himself instead of asking for help.

role models — Sapphire idolizes his predecessors before taking over the role as captain of his fencing team. He also looks up to all of those heroes he reads in comics or marathons on the old T.V in Hell’s shop. You know, the good old noir heroes. 

sexual orientation — Pansexual

thoughts on marriage / kids — Loves children. Future verse, he becomes a magical instructor to some kiddos after the dismantlement of the monarchy. He’s thought of marriage. Although, I’d say its not a priority. Sapphire wants to find someone who will love him for him. 

style preferences — Ouji fashion/50-60′s wear/ or suits that aren’t too fancy in style.

someone they love —He cares very deeply for all his friends, as they tend to tolerate him, He realizes he isn’t the easiest person to deal with. Romantically, he’s very much in love with @makubes’ Rock and @rosecoloredmuses’ Hime. He is also developing a very big crush on @electricea’s Ryuji as of the moment. Familial-wise? He will always be his mother’s baby. 

approach to friendships — Cautiously. Sapphire’s an overall friendly guy, albeit with reasons to tread on thin ice. He will give people the benefit of the doubt, but not without some sort of guard up. 

favourite drink — Herbal tea, preferably lemon or chamomile. He also really likes cooling down with a nice bottle of fruit-flavored sparkling water after a good training session.

favourite place to spend time at — Forest. It’s where this feral child feels truly content.

swim in the lake or the ocean — Both. As long as there are plenty of animals to interact with, nearby. 

their type — Sapphire would wholly appreciate someone who would display upmost honesty. He’s been around the bend with people who’ve sugarcoated  toxic tradition long enough. So, naturally, he will respect someone who would be more than willing to call out bullshit when they see it. He, of course, is no exception. No matter how in denial Sapphire is about his own mistakes, it would be refreshing to have someone, by his side, who will take his hand and bring him back up from stewing in his own dark hole.

camping or indoors — Either. Indoors has plenty of warm places to cuddle on with a soft blanket. Outdoors is where adventure lies, baby!

Of course you can, my dear c: Apologies in advance for my very strong bias for my fav boy Mine, but I’ll try to be fair to everyone ^^; 

Ryuji Goda: 

Ryuji and Daigo have that classic enemies-to-lovers friction. That gloating victory, that simmering hatred melted away into physical attraction. So, at first, they’re all rough touch, biting and snapping and grabbing. No tenderness, no gentleness. But over time, this would cool to lazy ego-stroking and pampering. A knowing fondle, a smug tease. 

Ryuji is the world’s laziest dom. I’m sorry, but he’s got a little too much of that “I’m king god and I know it” going on to put in effort most of the time. Oh, he’s happy to order you around and have you worship him, but he’s not going to make your job easier or even praise you too much for doing it, unless it’s to mock you. This isn’t to say that Ryuji’s mean, necessarily, just that he’s smug and everything’s about him. 

If he ever gets around to actually fucking you and not insisting that you get him off in a way that does nothing for you, he will put in effort doing that. After all, he’d be unworthy of his exalted status if he couldn’t actually back up his claims. So he makes a point of fucking people good and hard, in a way they’ll remember. And he even makes it a point of personal pride that you enjoy it, even if that means he has to be gentle. Being strong enough to be gentle is still strength, after all. And you’ll hate him just a little bit more for the fact that he can make you feel nice and you like it. 

Daigo certainly hates his smug face about it. 

But the real trick is if you can get Ryuji on his back. He’s a whimpery baby when it comes to bottoming. He’s inexperienced taking it, but does enjoy it, which puts him in an awkward position, having to listen to someone else for a change. Suddenly it’s “Oh, be gentle with me!” and “Wait, slow down!” and not quite knowing what he wants anymore. It takes patience to get that far with him, but Daigo certainly think it’s worth it. Ryuji’s got an ass that won’t quit and driving into that self-congratulating asshole, no pun intended, is delightful. 

Daigo prefers a more generous environment than Ryuji, but Ryuji’s stuck-up pride is appealing as a target to launch yourself at. And it is flattering that Ryuji won’t fight with you in the first place if he doesn’t think you’re worthy. It is a little warming in itself to have his attention. 

In a long-established relationship, Ryuji’s pride would lose its edge, he wouldn’t feel quite so desperate to prove himself. So his teasing would be more fond and soft, less biting. Daigo would grow in confidence, able to rebuff Ryuji a bit better and lead him around if need be. Daigo sparks under Ryuji’s overbearing dominance, but only when Daigo’s trying to be dominant. Daigo’s happy to receive most of the time. It’s more the way Ryuji comports himself that is the issue. But Daigo would relax over time too, seeing Ryuji soften and open up. They could learn to be tender with each other, rather than only mock and sneer.

Mine Yoshitaka: 

Fucking Mine is like driving a brand new Ferrari. It’s very sharp, very fast, very expensive. It’s beautifully designed. But it wants to be doing everything at 200 mph when most of your life is, at best, at the 60 mph speed range. And you know it’s going to break. You don’t know when, you don’t know where, but the thing is so fucking temperamental and insistent about going 200 mph that it’s just going to break, there’s nothing you can do about it, and you’ll have to get it repaired. That’s what fucking Mine is like. 

Mine is an entire goddamn disaster. He’s SO hot and SO fucking on fire. 

There is absolutely no way on earth Mine had ever fucked anyone before Daigo. Come on. Think about it. He’s very pretty but... psychotic. And also convinced that other people are, I don’t know, dust mites. Is fucking you going to get Mine power? No? Then why the fuck are we still talking? 

So no, Mine never fucked anyone, may not have even been interested in sex at all before Daigo. 

But he’s... oh god, he’s gotta be The Best at Everything. You can see where this is going. 

Mine’s SO DESPERATE to prove how good he is at sex, how willing, how flexible, but he’s instantly overwhelmed by everything and we have to scale back his insane plans to... how ‘bout we hold hands in bed for awhile, okay? Maybe your blood pressure will go down some. 

Daigo has to, somehow, contain Mine’s insane need to please and be The Best while also convincing him that it’s okay to take things one step at a time and slow down sometimes. He has to hold his hand through everything and show him, literally, all of the steps. Just kissing might paralyze Mine for a day, to say nothing of removing clothes or touching each other. 

That’s okay, Daigo can be patient. Apoplectically insane doesn’t do it for everyone, but... there’s something charming, for Daigo, in the way that Mine will absolutely break if you’re cute to him, if you’re nice to him. It’s so little effort for Daigo to be nice, and he gets SUCH a response in return. That alone is satisfying. It’s okay that Mine needs to move inches at a time or he’ll explode. It’s okay that every little thing sets Mine off, it’s kinda adorable. As long as you can be patient and don’t have to look after him every second, it’s actually pretty functional. 

After a lot of coaching and patience, their first time is... still a total disaster. But no one had to go to the hospital and Mine only wound up crying for an hour, so Daigo’s taking this as a good sign. 

Slowly, after a lot of therapy and socializing him with other people, Mine calms down. Over time, Mine can become functional and even very skilled. As Mine would never accept “adequate” for anything. And Daigo can’t fault him for his ambition and discipline even if it is... terrifying to watch how fast he develops. 

After the initial volcano of embarrassment and feelings of panic and unworthiness, once he finally fucking calms down, Mine becomes flawlessly competent. Daigo’s actually little worried that Mine could get him off in three strokes if put to it. He’s careful to absolutely never under any circumstances ask Mine to demonstrate. 

And Mine’s own desires grow apace with his skills. Mine’s main kink is endurance. He’s sort of similar to Majima’s exhaustion and over-stimulation gambit, but it’s a little different. Majima wants to be fucked until he can’t think anymore. Mine wants to prove his stamina, he wants to be the greatest physical specimen possible. So marathons are truly his thing. Daigo struggles to keep up. 

Fortunately, Mine is an absolutely mewling bottom, hungry for any attention. He wants to be stretched to his limits whenever possible, pushed to the utmost, but he’d never forgive himself if Daigo isn’t also enjoying himself. He learns to balance the two, to make sure Daigo is having a good time and not ask... more than is humanly possible. 

Even so, fisting is not out of the question for him and Daigo has, on occasion, worn a cock sheath. Mine’s a bit of a size queen. Again, the stamina thing. He’s... he’s insatiable in almost all possible ways. 

Mine will also gladly fuck Daigo! He has never refused a request from his one and only beloved and he never will. But Mine has no impulse to dominate. He doesn’t need to prove anything, he already knows he is the best there is, and he doesn’t need to serve to derive his sense of purpose and meaning. He will serve, but it is only to make Daigo happy. His pride is taken from how happy he can make Daigo, rather than anything about the act itself. His intense attention is borderline unbearable, but Daigo has gently coached him into where to direct his attention and how much intensity is needed. Mine is a ready and willing student, trying hard to be the right amount of too much, rather than monstrously too much. So he’s always excited to be ordered by Daigo and do what he likes. Daigo, for his part, has never been disappointed. 

Daigo, despite the incredible emotional and physical exhaustion of fucking Mine, does enjoy it. Mine does push him to his limits and asks for so much, but... the loopy, satisfied smile on Mine’s drained face when he finally lays back, when he’s at last loose and pliable... it fills Daigo with such a sense of satisfaction and pride and love. Whenever Daigo doubts himself, whenever he’s unsure, he remembers that the most perfectionist man on earth is head-over-heels in love with him and begs to be fucked every night... nothing comes close to being that kind of ego trip. And Mine is even genuinely reassuring when Daigo needs that too. 

It’s a disastrous beginning and it’s rough and rocky for awhile, but... in time, their dynamic becomes a smooth beat-counterbeat of lust and confidence, doubt and reassurance. They support each other in their weak spots and they love each other for it. 

Shinada Tatsuo: 

Shinada is like a breath of fresh air after the work of those last two. He is neither on fire nor selfish. A welcome relief for Daigo, if he fucked the last two. Finally someone he doesn’t have to put in all the work for. 

Shinada is the definition of easy going. Whatever you want to do, he’s up for it. And with his predilection for sex workers, safe to say he’s not a virgin by any means. No awkward hand holding with him. 

Shinada is not much of a dom, way too lackadaisical to take charge, but he is very warm and giving. So if Daigo just wanted to be taken care of today, he’d do his best to comply. He doesn’t have Mine’s intensity or stamina nor Ryuji’s forceful personality, but he’s sincere and generous and that goes a long way. 

Shinada is far more willing to be acted upon though. He’s lazy in the exact opposite way of Ryuji. Shinada would love to be fingered and fucked and taken care of, while putting in very little effort to achieve this. He’s happy to receive your energy and fierce determination. And at this point in Daigo’s life, sometimes he needs to take charge, just for the sense of control over something. Shinada’s got no problem with that and it’s reassuring and satisfying to know that Shinada’s happy with whatever you have to give him. Not having to put in a major effort or think about what will make him happiest makes Daigo’s job a lot easier. 

Not to say that Daigo wants to just use Shinada and leave him. Daigo’s very kind and cuddly with Shinada, eager to appreciate him simply because he’s so low effort. Shinada thinks it’s cute the way Daigo tries to pamper him. 

Daigo does sometimes push Shinada for more, ask him to go harder, to be rougher, but it isn’t really in Shinada’s make up to be forceful and intense. He’s up for anything so he never blinks if Daigo asks for something a little unusual or wants to experiment with something new, but at the same time, there’s no drive in him for any particular thing. 

Shinada’s main kink is hands, using his hands or hands being used on him. Hands are still his best method of communication, still dexterous and tactile, even if he’s out of practice these days. Also toys, strangely. He loves self-service toys or partner toys. They take some of the effort off of any one person to perform a certain way while still making sure everyone’s satisfied. No much ruffles him, but he will get a little blushy if you praise him a lot.

Daigo... loves to be taken care of. But also likes to fuck people into whimpery piles. He’s just so tired at this point. Sometimes he misses Ryuji’s demands or Mine’s intensity. But right now, he likes taking it easy with a sweet, pretty boy who like to lay in the sun and do nothing. He’s easy to pamper and his eyes go wide for just a little love and care. Daigo likes making someone happy and not having the fear that it will all go horribly wrong all too soon. 

Shinada sees him get sad sometimes and hugs him close, murmurs gently and keeps their hands close. He doesn’t mind that Daigo’s hurt and has been through a lot. He’s happy to be with him now and to make him happy in whatever ways he can.
