Okay what about that beauty and the beast au that was mentioned? Like if red is beast,sans is belle than who’s Gaston? I can imagine sans rejecting someone like Gaston. And red gently feeding the birds * inserts sobbing sounds* oh god beast red is what I need. And how would they fall in love in your version? I can imagine big beast red blushing over smol lazy bones sans >:3

Hmmmmm... who would be Gaston in that situation? 🤔 

Maybe UF Aaron? He seems like a pompous and violent enough type to fit that role? The whole “my muscles are the best” and no brain cells involved kinda fits too? XD

Sans would most definitely reject someone like that, cause he needs brain behind the brawn to be able to pun and joke and talk stars with his SO. So Aaron wouldn’t really be a good match for him and Sans would reject all his advances. But I doubt Aaron would take it well >.>

Red feeding the birds? Holding them in his big claws, gently raising one to poke at the bird that’s munching on seeds stuck in his boney palmy. While Sans sits close by and watches Red’s excited expression full of wonder, with a fond lazy smile. Maybe even raising a hand up to Red’s face, using the back of one tiny phalange to pet Red’s cheek, startling the poor beast? And making the birds fly in a panic, right into Red’s face! Red would most definitely flail around and fall on his bum into the snow! XD

This would cause Sans to fall on his back and laugh his tiny boney butt of, while Red would stare at the laughing pile of bones, a hand raised to his blushing cheek where Sans had touched him X3

Then there would be a snowball fight cause Red isn’t letting this go without revenge! >:D

How would they fall in love? Hmmmm... well since the setting is “beauty and the beast” it wouldn’t be love at first sight. Though Sans would be impressed by Red’s size and appearance, and Red would think Sans looked cute and delicate when he first saw him. But it wouldn’t be love at first sight.

Sans is not there cause he wants to be and he would most definitely show it. He wouldn't be super cooperative at first, at least not until Red threatened to harm his family if he didn’t behave. And that would not put Red in a better light >.>

So their start would be very rocky and very... plainly said, bad :(

But it takes a lot of energy to be defiant and mad, you know? It would be hard for a lazybones like Sans to stay in that mindset forever, so his rebellion would slowly lessen. He would start to relax around Red, like at meals, or in the library, or while reading late at night in front of a fireplace (cause it’s wasteful to heat the whole castle for only them two, right? :P), or in the garden etc. And as he relaxed he would start to see that Red isn’t all violence and anger, sharp angles and threats. That he can be soft and sweet, that he cares for his servants and is careful not to hurt them even when it’s hard on him (being big and bulky, control wouldn’t come easy to him). Slowly Sans would start liking what he sees :3

Red would be the same. Sans relaxed and jokey personality would mellow him out, relax him and make him see he can have fun with this monster. That he isn’t angry or frightened all the time, that Sans isn’t judging him based on his appearance.

So the love would slowly grow over the months they spent together. It wouldn’t be a first impression love, it would start from a stronger foundation... and it would need that cause when the time comes for the rose, they would need all the trust and love they built up to get through that :(

Ooooooo the dance scene in beast au will be a fav part of mine. Especially beast red waiting and seeing red from the top of stars in a beautiful blue dress looking dolled up. I can imagine beast red tail wagging and heart eye lights seeing sans. And oh god would beast red be a blushing disaster at sans pretty face. And I bet he’s get jealous of Aaron trying to always woo sans when sans tells him about him. I can imagine sans rejecting him a lot and avoiding him.

Noonies... just cause you are so freaking sweet you get this today instead of tomorrow, ok? I’m gonna stay up late just to spoil you both XD

Red was standing at the bottom of the stairs, nervously fixing up the suit his staff made him wear. He wasn’t sure why he couldn’t just wear his usual clothes and his bulky jacket. They helped hide some of his more demonic mutations, helped even out his form, make it look more like he did before the curse. But these clothes? They hid practically nothing.

Don’t misunderstand, the clothes were beautiful. The finest you could get in the whole kingdom. Made from a silken material that hugged his bones perfectly, showing off the rippling magic that filled them out. Red was strongly built. Not thin by a long shot, but built like a solid wall of muscle. Still, his bones had been deformed by the curse, bending at weird angles, spikes in places there shouldn’t be any, sickly colouring in spots that made the bone look weak, even if it wasn’t. He was just a mess. And these clothes hid almost nothing of it. The spikes and bumps were visible through them, barely hidden behind the well-fitted clothing.

He was sweating badly, nervous about what Sans would think when he saw him like this. He cursed and double cursed his non-existent brain for asking Sans to a dance. That whole thing, the spur of the moment inspiration, was just another curse he had to suffer. He couldn’t even think straight, his nerves fraying. Maybe it would be better if he just ran? Before Sans came down? Say the curse was getting to him, that he didn’t feel well?

Quickly, he started up the stairs, but just as he put his foot on the first step he heard a shuffling sound from the top of the stairs. Feeling dread course through his bones, sockets wide, he froze. He couldn’t make himself look up, couldn’t-

“red?” A soft inquiry made his mind freeze, and before he could stop himself his head shot up, eyelights trained on Sans.

All thoughts stopped.

Red’s mind was completely blank, all he could think about was the sight before him. And it was gorgeous.

Sans was standing at the top of the stairs, head tilted and a soft smile on his face. He was wearing a blue ball gown, that showed off his clavicle and arms, and flared out below his waist, making it look almost like he was floating. The gown was blue, going from a lighter hue at the top and darkening until it almost looked black at the bottom edges, and it was covered in tiny shining jewel-like stars that glittered with every breath Sans took.

He looked like art come to life.

But what shocked Red the most was the lack of any judgment or disgust on Sans’ face. His soft smile showed only amusement at Red’s apparent attempt at escape. There was no fear or scorn either. Nothing that Red was used to seeing on people who saw him clearly.

Red stared, mouth hanging open, unmoving. With a soft chuckle and a graceful descent down the stairs, Sans was suddenly standing in front of him, using one hand to gently close Red’s hanging mouth.

“you okay there, red?” Sans teased, giving him a knowing wink, making Red furiously blush and stutter out a confirmation... maybe? He wasn’t making a lot of sense but it looked like Sans understood.

The smaller skeleton offered his hand to Red, which the scared monster hesitatingly took. Sans might have mesmerized him, but he didn’t want to chance hurting the small monster on any of his spikes or edges. It wouldn’t do to end their date before it began, especially in such a horrible way.

Before Red could think himself into another panic, Sans pulled him towards the big doors that led to the ballroom. Red didn’t expect the lazybones monster to be this excited over something like dancing, but there was a clear sparkle in Sans’ sockets and a skip in his steps proving Red’s assessment wrong yet again. He smiled, happy to learn something new about the monster walking hand in hand with him.

The moment they entered the ballroom Red’s nerves started fraying again. Fuck. He didn’t think about what will happen next! Dancing. He knew it would be dancing. But he didn’t think how this will go. He knew how to dance, in theory, but it was ages since he even practised, let alone danced with a partner. What if he hurt Sans with his claws or spikes in his clumsiness? What if he tripped and fell on Sans? What if-

A gentle hand stopped him and made him turn his gaze downward. There was Sans, smiling up at him, eyelights shining as brightly as the little stars dotting his gown, one hand gently pulling on Red’s, placing the big clawed “paw” onto his delicate waist. Red hesitated still, unsure if he should touch Sans, but with a determined nudge, Sans pushed Red’s hand flush with his body.

The touch made a satisfying bolt of excitement shoot up Red’s hand, making his body shiver a little and Red freeze in shock. Sans quickly used that to take Red’s other hand into his own, squeezing it gently, a sign that he was ready for the bigger monster to take the lead.

Hesitatingly, Red looked at his partner, trust shining brightly from that perfect monster in front of him. Painfully slowly, Red stepped forward, expecting the worst to happen. But Sans followed, as if it was the most natural thing to ever happen, and nothing bad happened. So Red took another step, and another, and another. And he could feel Sans following, his body moving to match his lead. It was... intoxifying.

The little monster was so tiny in his big cursed hands. So soft and delicate. It felt like Red could crush him with one squeeze of his fist. But there was no fear or hesitation in that body. Sans moved freely, with complete trust, shining like a gem, his gown twirling around, sparkling, making the room seem as if the starry night sky blessed this dance,

With a booming laugh, followed by a softer one, Red spun Sans around and then pulled him close, tilting him back. Their sockets met, Sans’ sparkling like stars, blush spreading on his cheeks and down his neck. Red could feel his sockets itch in a weird way, as if their shape changed. He had a moment to hope they didn’t turn into anything embarrassing (like hearts) before Sans’ drew him back in, melting any worry away and making his own cheeks feel hot, sockets lidding as he leaned forward-

Quickly Red pulled back, straightening himself and Sans up. He almost did something he would probably regret. With a cough and a look to Sans (did he look disappointed?), Red offered his hand again, pulling Sans close once the smaller happily accepted. 

They danced like this for a while, Sans pulling close and cuddling up to Red when the moment let him. It made Red’s soul beat faster and he was sure he would be purring if he could spare the breath.

They stopped only when they were both thoroughly winded, breath coming out fast and hard, be it from dancing or laughing in glee over the closeness and the warm atmosphere.

Red took Sans out to the balcony, to catch their breath and talk. To enjoy the beauty of the night sky, that paled in comparison to the star standing in front of Red, shining on his darkness, making him feel like he was worth something again.

And done! I really hope you like this noonies! I gotta say that I absolutely loved writing it out and... I gotta get me some drawing skills to draw Sans in that dress >.>

One detail about Red’s appearance. Since he is supposed to be cursed to look like a beast, i.e. a monster, I decided to give him a more “deformed” than beast-like appearance because he started out as a monster, and we all know that there are beast-like monsters (wolfs, tigers etc.) that are considered normal. So instead of just looking like a beast, his whole body is “deformed”. Red’s face isn’t much different to his original one, just his teeth look more menacing and dangerous and his body does have a more beast like build, with digitrade legs and a daily. The main change is that his whole body (even his skull) has these bumps, spikes and discolorations growing and making him look like he’s sick and in the process of mutating. Since skeleton monsters usually have clean and healthy looking bones, shaped in many forms (be it human or animal like), the deformities done to Red’s bones are what make him a “beast” to reflect the evil in his soul that got him cursed :3

Red usually wears his bulky jacket and wide clothes to hide some of the deformities, but here he’s wearing a fancy suit fitted to his frame. So practically nothing is hidden. The staff that made the suit wanted to prove to Red, and to themselves, that Sans wasn’t repulsed by Red, that his feelings went beyond what was on the outside.

... I would say they succeeded, no? ;3

YES UR BEATY AND THE BEAST AU IS AMAZING! 😍 how about beast red and sans are pining for each other (mutually) and beast red is trying to woo sans without it being obvious ( ya know this dork would be too scared to say it out loud) and sees a prince giving a princess a bouquet of flowers and decides to find a really pretty flower. He sees a beautiful blue echo flower ( they don’t have them in sans village) and knocks on sans room blushing furiously,sweating like a shy high school boy (part 1)

I bet it would the first time Sans’ eyelights turn to stars in front of Red! Cause the smaller skele would be so excited with all the books! And not just any books! Astronomy books! (☆∀☆)

Red would be so excited when he found out Sans likes books, probably over some dinner or through one of the servants telling him. It was something he could finally give Sans that would make him less... depressed. He tried food, clothes, trinkets and jewels, but nothing worked. Sans said thanks for them all, but there wasn’t really a sparkle in his eyelights. He never looked... happy or thankful. Just sad and resigned. Hopeless.

When Red asked him what he wanted, Sans always just said “let me go home” but that was one thing Red couldn’t do. He couldn’t let that happen. Sans was his last chance.

But now he had a chance to give Sans something he actually loved! If he thought about it he wouldn’t be sure why this made him so excited. But he didn’t. He just jumped at the chance to bring the small monster to the library, making sure Sans’ sockets were closed.

Sans looked worried, browbones frowning even as he kept his sockets shut. Red didn’t like that, he wanted Sans to be happy, but he couldn’t do anything about it until he got Sans to the library. So he gave a quiet frustrated growl and lead the unresisting Sans to the big double doors. With a flourish and a loud bang the doors flew open, Red pushing too hard in his excitement, making Sans jump and open his sockets.

At first hesquinted into the room, the warm light making it hard to adjust his sight. But soon enough he could see clearly and his sockets grew big, the biggest they ever were. There were shelves upon shelves upon shelves of books. He didn’t even know so many books existed! Let alone that they were so close.

Without a pause he ran into the room, making Red startle at how fast he moved (Red did not expect the calm lazybones to be that fast XD). Sans looked over everything, zooming here and there, checking the titles, the authors, the genre of the books. He kept announcing what he found and why it was special and exceptional and wonderful and-

Suddenly he froze in front of a certain shelf.

Red, worried, went to him to see what had shocked the poor monster into freezing like that and noticed that the books in front of Sans were all about astronomy. Dozens upon dozens of books about starts and heavenly bodies that were an eternal mystery. He asked Sans what was wrong, why was he so stuck in place?

Sans started shaking, making Red worry even more, until he turned to Red, his eyelights turned into the biggest stars, practically filling his wide sockets, and whispered “stars. red... it’s stars.”

Lets just say after that day Red made sure to bring Sans there as often as he could X3

Sans having wolf pups is too cutttteeeee 😍😆 I can imagine after they had pups if they misbehave red let’s out a loud warning growl. And sans would definitely be a milf sorry not sorry. Like I can imagine some teachers at his pups school tryna hit on him and wolf red is like nope! Like you see this soft and lazy looking guy and next to him is his scary and huge husbone. And also the household pups and red would kids fight on who’s a good boy

But tbh if a teacher from a school where the pups are going tries to flirt with Sans, he would be lucky to just have beef with Red :/ The pups wouldn’t be happy with that either, and given who their parents are, they would probably be a mega menace to that teacher. He would have so many regrets after a few pranks and a lot of pain was delivered his way XD Red would be the proudest papa ever, istg. He would make sure all the pups knew they were being very good boys and poor Sans would be left to fix any trouble all 5 of them ended up in X’D

That’s of course if anyone would even be brave enough to flirt with Sans while Red’s standing next to him. It would have to be someone either very brave or very very stupid :/

Read ur wolf red headcannons. So it’s implied that he may get jealous if he smells new scents on sans? Like if sans was hanging with uf grillby( not ut grillby) he’d get extra jealous? I headcannon that if grillby is really flirty,sleazy but secretly a good guy deep deep deep down. I can imagine sans visiting uf grillbys being flirted with and red ( from any of your bara au’s not just wolf red) wasn’t too happy about that.

I’d say that Chillby (UF!Grillby) would most definitely try and flirt with Sans any chance he can... just to get Red angry X’D

I just like the idea of Red and Chillby being frienemies. Mostly for the same reason why I think Red and Edge would fight all the time, for the show. You can’t show someone is close to you in Underfell cause it would put you both at risk, so you fight to show “you don’t really care about that person”. So Red and Chillby fight, even though they would never harm each other... badly.

But flirt with a bonefriend? Hell yeah XD

Since Chillby would know that Red can smell him on Sans, he’d go out of his way to touch Sans as much as he could, purposefully leaving a trace of his magic on Sans. And Sansy wouldn’t really mind. I mean, his universe is a lot more chill with touching and he wouldn’t find it super weird if a friend put an arm on his shoulder when joking, or pet his head in a “you’re hilarious” way, or “help” him clean up cause he “accidentally” spilt something on his hoodie... you know, friend things >;3

But here’s the thing. In Underfell, touching a claimed mate is... bad. It could be used as a threat and it messes Red’s instincts to protect up. He tries hard to keep himself civil for Sans, cause he trusts his little mate. But he doesn’t trust Underfell monsters, not one bit. Yet he does trust Chillby, he knows the bartender is just messing with him, but it still raises his hackles when he catches the scent. And if Chillby isn’t careful, it might end up in a bad fight >.>

The other bara Red’s would react pretty much the same, yeah. Except, bara Red wouldn't really be that sensitive to scent marking, but if he saw Chillby touching and flirting with Sans, he’d go full jealous mode XP

Though trust me noonie, if Red ever really went full crazy jealous, he’d have a tiny judge to beat his ass back into place.
