My family watches Wheel of Fortune some - most? - nights when dinner coincides with it. I grew up with many fond memories of spending the night with one of my grandmothers, and after a day of her explaining her incomprehensible Stories as we watched I don't know how many soap operas, we'd watch Wheel together and I'd be awed by her skills.

Nowadays it's me and my folks loudly commenting - we're truly terrible backseat drivers with VERY strong opinions about strategy that might well not hold up under actual competitive conditions, and we're aware of that, but it sure doesn't stop us yelling in derision every time someone picks the "Thing" category.

Last season was the host's last - Pat Sejak's retired, which given some health scares, is totally understandable. Tonight was Ryan Seacrest's first on the job, and...

well...

We were all underwhelmed. I loathe the new set - not that it's the first time that's happened - and some of the new style of camera angles are disconcerting and not what I'd prefer, though that might all just be Not Liking Change. The part that stood out to all of us, however, was Seacrest just did not vibe well. He seemed uncomfortable, a little too handsy not in a "LAWSUIT!" kinda way just a "dude back off please personal space!" kinda way, a bit too try hard and self-conscious of the failures. Watching him snap into a WILDLY more comfortable persona in the last 5 seconds when he went from "ZOMG I am hosting WHEEL o_o" to "Ah, promo-ing a thing for the network, I can do this in my sleep!" was astonishing.

I keep reminding myself it's his first night. I keep reminding myself that he's now responsible for Wheel and its 45+ seasons of history. I keep reminding myself he's trying to step into the shoes but not replace the former weatherman we've all had in our living rooms for freakin' DECADES, and that's a HELL of a steep learning curve.

I also keep thinking about Sam Reich putting his friends through increasingly complicated and deranged Shenanigans for our amusement WITHOUT a shred of that awkwardness, and all I can think is "skill issue."

he really just is the sweetest … the way that he really appreciates good interviewers because he is so used to them asking invasive or offensive questions.

God. He really is just unfailingly generous and kind. I swear, it’s story after story after story of him being so genuinely nice to people. And yet… people out there continue to hate him. I truly will never understand it.

Zendaya Reveals the No. 1 Thing Fans Always Ask Her

Challengers starring Zendaya is the #1 movie in America, so what's the No. 1 thing she gets asked by fans? Ryan Seacrest caught up with the actress on-air on Thursday, May 2, and talked everything from being a child actor to the Met Gala and more.

Zendaya shared when she gets approached by fans, it's actually always something different which is what she loves to experience.

"The beautiful thing is it really changes every day," Zendaya said, revealing fans will talk to her about recent box office hit Dune to moms sharing their kids are obsessed with The Greatest Showman.

So, why did she decide to take on her latest role in Challengers?

The biggest thing I learned from Defunctland's video on the American Idol Experience is that the only thing in the world worse than being Ryan Seacrest is being the person specifically hired by Disney to remind people of Ryan Seacrest, all day, every day.

Think about that. Imagine THAT is your life. Your paid job is to remind bored, tired, financially-wiped families from Iowa that Ryan Seacrest is a thing, and that you are vaguely like him.

I once set up plastic fencing at a fairground with people on work-release, in 102 degree heat, and they "forgot" to tell us there were no bathrooms or access to water. And they made me drive all of us there. In my personal car. For no additional compensation. And I made like $8 an hour.

And I can say, with pride, "At least I didn't have to remind people of Ryan Seacrest at that Disney thing."

...This is really mean. I don't begrudge these people for taking a crap job. They're not the problem.

The problem is, and has always been, Ryan Seacrest.

I felt like they all needed 1. A proper full body design and 2. New and improved designs with how they've been developing in my head. So here we are!

This was also a good pose practice since I've been out of the loop for full bodies, considering I've been drawing alot of portraits

I am also working on new designs for the baldurs gate au version of them all, which includes different names for them. It'll take me some time because college has unfortunately started again and it's been draining my mental yet again.
