EXTREME/SPLATTERPUNK Horror edition
4/5
Christopher Triana and Ryan Harding came together to create this gory and funny novel. One question if have is- What did Grunge music ever do to these guys?
I found the writing of these two authors to blend seamlessly, and flow well to make an interesting and atmospheric read. I did think however that we focused on too many characters, and about 40% through they all blended together and I had a time keeping track of who’s who. I did find that each character didn’t really stand out on their own, I wish they were fleshed out a bit more.
You can tell that this book is not supposed to be taken seriously, it reads very much like a comedy. The gore is very much exaggerated to an extent that seems hilarious.
If you want something that is light, gory, and a quick read I very much do think you should pick this up. If you are squeamish and don’t like anything to do with Satanism do not pick this up. That is all this book is.

NEW REVIEW: Sixty-Five Stirrup Iron Road (2013)
Today’s in-depth dissection is of the co-authored extreme horror novel ‘Sixty-Five Stirrup Iron Road’ (2013) – an outrageously over-the-top story of deviancy, depravity and splattericious gore.
This example of (ahem) literacy excellence was penned by none other than Brian Keene, Jack Ketchum, Edward Lee, J.F. Gonzalez, Bryan Smith, Wrath James White, Nate Southard, Ryan Harding, and Shane McKenzie.
Enjoy!

For the love of Barbie someone clip that part in the trailer where Ryan Gosling Ken and Simu Liu Ken are making very obvious sexual innuendos about giving each other handies and it jump cuts to Michael Cera for like half a second I am in TEARS
