Publisher PLAYISM and developers faxdoc, happysquared, and sunnydaze will release physics-based grapple hook Metroidvania game Rusted Moss for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and Switch in spring 2024 alongside a major update, the companies announced.

Rusted Moss first launched for PC via Steam on April 12.

“We’ve been working hard on the major (and final) content update of Rusted Moss,” the developers said in a press release. “While Rusted Moss will not have a sequel, it sometimes feels like this major content update might as well be one! And as you can see, we probably enjoyed making this update a little too much and will need more time to add in and polish all these new features. On the plus side, this also coincides with some exciting news, that being the console release! Thank you all for your patience and support!”

The major content update is currently in the works. In our previous roadmap announcement, we’ve revealed that the content update would be released early to mid Q4 2023, but due to development and porting adjustments, we are pushing the major content update back and releasing it on Steam alongside the console release next year. In case of confusion, by perk points I mean the points you spend to level perks up, not skills. No, there is no console command that allows you to change how many perk points you have. You either need to give yourself perks directly, as in Kaizerwolf's answer , or use a mod to adjust your perk points. If you have the Deadly Dragons mod, you can give yourself dragon souls in the console, and then use the mod to convert them to perk points. If you want two more perk points, give yourself ten dragon souls with player. There might be other mods that make the process more convenient, but Deadly Dragons is the only one I've used. Aside from advlevel , which would increase your level by 1 but not add any perk points , I don't see any commands to give yourself a set amount of perk points. By specifying the perk ID, which can be found online, you can just give yourself the perks you want. As the UESP's example goes , you would type the following into the console:. Rust Is Coming To PS4 And Xbox One This Spring & Rust is finally coming to consoles soon, with PS4 and Xbox One versions now scheduled to release in Spring 2021. The survival game has been enjoying a great deal of success as of late, thanks to Twitch streamers giving the PC version a boost. the next time she wakes, it’s her pod that opens, but there’s no one waiting on the other side but ghosts. she rushes to leave, slipping underneath the door as it swings up. the vault floor is cold as she falls to her knees, gasping for her first unfiltered breaths in - in...

she looks up to the pod in front of her, still shut, though the glass already begins to defrost. claire stumbles over to the console beside the pod. her fingers won’t goddamn work. her hands shake as she tries to find the command to open it. her legs threaten to give out once more.

nate’s pod finally opens with a hiss. mist rolls out from the chamber, swirling around her legs as claire staggers toward him.

he looks like he’s sleeping.

nate would fall asleep on the couch sometimes, watching some late night show. claire would take shaun from his arms to put him back in his crib, then return to her sleeping husband. he looks like that now, slumped back against the pod lounger. his head lolled over to one side. his arms held in a relaxed semi-circle, a perfect empty space for shaun -

claire can still hear him crying, taken away by the one in the hazmat suit.

tears threaten to fall, but claire sniffs and wills them away. ‘i’ll find him. i’ll find our son, i promise.’ she looks up to nate’s face, pointedly ignoring the dark red stain spread across his heart. ‘and i’ll kill the bastard that did this.’ no matter how long it took. no matter what it took. she would.

carefully, she slips nate’s wedding ring from his finger and slips it in one of her vault suit’s small pockets. instead of releasing his hand, she brings his knuckles to her lips. ‘i love you,’ her voice wavers. ‘i love you.’

claire doesn’t know how long it takes her to move from that chamber. first, it was grief that kept her there, sitting at the floor of her husband’s grave, the adrenaline of finding him faded away. then, it was desperation that made her check the rest of the pods. even though the terminals were locked, it didn’t matter. her neighbors were dead. no visible wounds. asphyxiation. she finds the logs on a separate terminal.

she can’t stay here. this is their grave - his grave - but it couldn’t be hers. she has a son to find.

it strikes her, walking through the empty halls of the vault, that she doesn’t know what day it is. back home, halloween decorations were already strung up around the neighborhood, and she and nate still had plans to find shaun a costume. at first, she thinks it’s been weeks, at worst months, but then she comes across her first skeleton that isn’t paper mache. it’s the first sign of anyone else being in the vault other than her neighbors. and it’s not a good one.

especially not when her second sign is a pair of giant cockroaches that scuttle from underneath torn fabric of the vault suit hanging off the skeleton. claire kicks one that jumps at her, buying her some space, but the other continues toward her. she stumbles backward, back hitting a metal table and on it - miraculously - a police baton.

she unsheathes the baton and hits the second cockroach in one fluid motion. she feels the crunch of its exoskeleton reverberate through her arm, and while it struggles to rise, she steps on its back, as if it were a normal size.

‘this has got to be some kind of nightmare,’ she says to herself after the second one is dispatched. green ichor drips slowly off the baton, and her foot slides across the metal vault floor until she can scrape off the blood.

a terrible, terrible nightmare.

after wandering the halls of the vault, she finally comes across a working terminal. upon the desk, a gun and extra ammo. claire quickly picks it up, inspects it, and reloads. nate had taken her to shooting ranges before, made sure she knew how to defend herself in case - in case he didn’t come home from the war.

she sighs. at least she can shoot the bugs from afar instead of soaking the rest of her suit with blood. a small caged alcove catches her attention before she turns back to the terminal. a gun - a bigger gun - sits on display within a locked case. unfortunately, the lock is internal, and after two strikes against the case with the butt of her gun, it doesn’t look like she can break it.

the terminal doesn’t have a command to open the case, either, only the door opposite the room. cyrolator. she’ll have to come back for that one.

the gun makes quick work of the other giant roaches that have gathered in the vault. one bullet per bug, except for the very last one that crawled out from underneath the stairs leading up to the manual override button for the vault door. that one took two, only because the roach startled her and her first shot ricocheted off the metal stairs instead.

claire presses the manual override button.

nothing.

when she takes a second step toward the console, she nearly trips on the arm of another skeleton in a lab coat. this one, however, with a smaller computer on its arm. she takes it, secures it around her wrist like it was on the former scientist, and powers it on. green text scrolls quickly across the screen, faster than she can read, but it works.

when she brings up the tab labeled status something pricks her arm. more text fills in the screen: a small picture of a human, generic, each part of the body sectioned off per limb; her heart rate, slightly elevated; and.. radiation level? a small amount, according to the screen. probably from those giant roaches. and a date: october 23rd.. 2287.

claire reels. it’s got to be a glitch. the little pipboy is wrong. that would make it two hundred and ten years since she - since they -

no.

she pulls a plug from underneath the pipboy and plugs it into the console. buttons light up, and a red ring shines underneath the override button.

two hundred years...

she presses it.

alarm bells ring, loud and echoing in the entrance chamber, drowning out the computerized voice blaring over the loudspeaker. metal and gears and pistons grind as the vault door opens, leading her back to the elevator that saved her life.

claire swallows, not ready for what’s waiting outside, but willing to meet it anyway.

the air tastes different on the surface. no gathered dust, no closed space. claire takes a deep breath, exhales, and promptly falls to her knees. the gun in her hand rattles against the floor of the elevator as she tries to compose herself. but she makes the mistake of looking west, back over the horizon where the bomb first dropped. and there is nothing. no trees, no buildings in the distance. just - a void. an emptiness that resonates in her chest even as she picks herself back up.

slowly, she makes her way back home.

sanctuary hills looks... overrun. grass and weeds poke through between the cracks in her old paved road. some houses are collapsed, ceilings resting in what used to be living areas. some houses still stand, holes blasted in old walls. ‘hello?’ she calls out. ‘anybody?’

to think she walked this road two hundred years ago.

a figure catches her eye, hovering near her home. not a figure - a -

‘codsworth!’

claire sprints toward him, ecstatic. the old robot turns one eye stalk toward her, then another, then all three. he bobs up and down as he drifts toward her, meeting her halfway. what was once a silver chassis is now a mottled grey, rust forming on dented plates. parts of him are missing all together, but still - he’s here.

‘miss claire,’ his british voice intones. ‘it’s you.’ there’s almost a sigh of relief at the end of it. ‘it’s been - ’ his arms whir around, as if counting. ‘ - two hundred years. you’re two centuries late for dinner!’ he tries for humor.

her stomach drops. there’s no way the pipboy and codsworth could be glitched. unless it’s a computer thing, internal clocks jostled by the blast - but her neighborhood. ruined.

‘i know,’ her voice is rough. she can’t laugh, even fake it. ‘listen, codsworth, have you seen anyone come by here? maybe a group of people?’ she describes the two.

‘no, mum. only a group of raiders that tried to move in, but i chased them off right away!’ he twists his arms, another whir, and brandishes a flamethrower and a buzz saw attachment. claire jumps. ‘by the by, where are sir and young shaun?’

a hand reaches up to cover her mouth before she can stop it. ‘they killed him,’ she says, muffled. ‘those people killed nate and took shaun. we have to find them.’

‘now, now.’ she imagines he’d pat her on the head, if he could. ‘these ghastly things you’re describing, are you sure you slept well? mum, surely, they’re just - ’

‘codsworth,’ she starts again. can a mr. handy go into shock? ‘it’s true. they’re... gone.’ saying it feels strange. admitting it makes it real. maybe his sensors pick up on her tone, because he visibly slumps.

‘i’m... i’m so sorry.’

‘i have to find them. but i don’t - i don’t think i can do this alone.’ one pistol and a few bullets can only get her so far.

‘perhaps you can find help in concord? a few people were roaming around there.’ he bobs again. ‘i will prepare sanctuary hills for your return.’ and then he’s off, flying to the other end of the neighborhood. once, she hears a tinny, high pitched yell, followed by codsworth leaving an old house. humming, of all things.

concord, she repeats to herself. i can do this.
