Raidho, as a follow-up to last week's Isa, makes a lot of sense. Last week was a time to sit and feel our feelings and contemplate what's happening. This week, in the face of impending hardship, we begin to make our plans for the journey ahead of us. Think long-term. This path is winding and littered with obstacles. It will not be traveled in a day. The best you can do is prepare for the worst and hope for the best. Take those preparations seriously. Accept that you may not be able to plan for everything, but plan for all the possibilities you see ahead as you chart your course down this road.

To my fellow U.S. citizens, I think you know exactly what I'm talking about. Last week's Isa hit different after Tuesday. Having nearly a week now to do some processing, I'm hoping we can all start to plan ahead in whatever ways we need to - as individuals, as communities, and as a nation. There are still plenty of feelings to sit with and manage and turn into productive action. It's the turning them into productive action piece that we need to start moving towards. Still, be kind to yourself. We have our work cut out for us. It will not be easy. But we have each other. Never forget that. As hard as this road ahead will be to walk, you are not walking it alone.

To everyone outside the U.S., this message may be relevant on a more micro/personal scale. That said, if this is resonating with you in relation to your response to our election results, I humbly encourage you to consider how you can help any U.S. citizens you know (particularly ones whose rights are at risk) and make preparations to do so. That doesn't mean you have to sponsor them for them to immigrate or anything that's outside your means. It may just be as simple as providing a listening ear. Today's reading focuses around annual cycles that wish to come to a close so that a new cycle can begin. Unfortunately though we are being warned of delays, while we wish for this transition to hurry along, it appears we are being hit with obstacles that are disrupting its path. There's a warning here too that the delays in play could be causing ill health or friction within our relationships. Be aware that while we very well might be frustrated with how slow things are going, those we love are likely struggling too. With this in mind examine your own behaviour and make sure you're not acting unfairly, but also at the same time, if you are being treated unfairly these behaviours need to be addressed in a mature manner. Delays are delays, there's nothing much to be done, there's no point in being shitty about it. Sometimes all we can ask of ourselves and others is to do our best. Try not to make the situation any worse than it needs to be, do things when you can, and look after one another.
